Barbra Streisand: SCOTUS ‘Enables Corporate Coup of Democracy’

Truth Translator Rephrase: Barbra Streisand writing at One Of Those Companies The Left Is Okay With Using Unlimited Resources To Affect The Outcome Of Elections:
I felt like I was in suspended animation as I read the Supreme Court decision which essentially enables a corporate coup d’état of America’s Democracy. …
Corporations are not people nor are they individual citizens. They are chartered by states to conduct commerce. And while I certainly don’t pretend to be a constitutional scholar, I have been reading a lot about this and thankfully, many brilliant minds do agree with me.
The intellectual dishonesty from Hollywoodists on this issue is so… so… so… expected.
If you’re opposed to corporations being involved in our electoral process then be opposed to corporations being involved in our electoral process.
But Leftists and Hollywoodists are not opposed to media corporations being involved in our electoral process because 95% of media corporations are liberal. Neither Babs nor Adam McKay nor any Leftist has ever complained that media corporations were exempt from the unconstitutional law the Supreme Court justly overturned — because CNN, ABC, NPR, The New York Times, CBS, etc… all carry water for left-wing causes and politicians.
So let’s ask our friends on the left a few questions: Why should their precious HuffPo be exempt from the restrictions they want to place on other corporations? Why should a big, rich, venture-capital wealthy HuffPo be allowed to use unlimited resources to politick but not some local real estate office when it comes to a congressional race?
For that matter, why should Fox News be exempt? Why should Fox News be allowed to advocate conservative causes in front of millions of viewers through Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly while liberal Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream is silenced?

President Barack Obama and GE Chairman Jeffrey Immelt
Why should Obama buddy Jeffrey Immelt’s General Electric be allowed to push their leftist nonsense through MSNBC and all their enviro-lies through the power of their prime-time NBC lineup while Walmart is silenced?
Do Apple and GM and my local Chinese restaurant have to start a cable news channel in order to enjoy the same free speech rights as General Electric?
And this absurd canard about foreign corporate influence on elections when– Well, to be fair, how can we expect Hollywoodists to understand the issues surrounding this when our own President doesn’t. (But I think they do.)
Here’s where Babs assumes the Shining Crown of Hollywood Dishonesty:
Hopefully, Congress will mobilize and pass legislation that prohibits the political contributions of any company that receives government funds[.]
Sounds great, Babs! And no doubt because you are the pillar of intellectual consistency and The Great Defender of Our Democracy you will also include what’s known as “in-kind contributions,” or non-cash contributions that benefit one candidate or political party.
Follow me here…
General Electric received “government funds” from the Obama stimulus.
General Electric owns MSNBC.
You see where I’m going, right? Buh-bye Olbermann, Maddow, Matthews and that Ed guy.
[A]nd I hope they will also pass legislation that requires companies to get approval from their shareholders before a corporation can spend money on electoral activity.
Yes!! Please do! And I will buy my share of GE stock immediately and have my say about all that MSNBC “electoral activity.” Who’s with me?

All of you reading this are about to have a go in the comments, but please do not use the word “ignorance.” Streisand, McKay and the whole lot of them understand perfectly what they’re advocating.
These are not dumb people.
These are Leftist Propagandists.
And this is a language war…
….where the goal in this particular battle is simple and has nothing to do with opposition to corporate influence on our election process. The goal is to silence political opposition while exempting corporations who agree with them. Namely, media corporations who are 95% liberal.
As far as the left’s plans to shut those other 5% up…?
You’ve heard of the Orwellian-named Fairness Doctrine, right?

The ultimate lie that has become so ingrained that it is repeated by news channel talking heads is that the decision "reverses 100 years of tradition of keeping corporations out of politics". This came from the AP summary and has been repeated over and over, even though the SCOTUS decision really only struck down a 30-year-old 'campaign finance' law that itself was decided on a 5-4 vote.
You point out many obvious current hypocrisies, and there is of course the great hypocrisy of the man who decided to back out of public financing and take donations from people, corporations, and special interests all around the world getting up on a dais and denouncing the decision that would have made the playing field level.
And I don't get it anyway. Corporations, unions, etc – all the groups that will benefit from this decision – tend to give their money to Democrats. You'd think they'd be happy about it, and Conservatives would be mad. But the thing is, we realize this changes nothing. It was one of many laws that would only stop a politician if they wanted to be stopped, and McCain gave a great example of how that works out.
Did you email this to Streisand herself? Or at least Huffpo?
Free speech for me, but not for thee, eh Babs?
STFU, Babs!
So very well written, with the exposure of these Leftist Salad-Tossers like “Babs”. It’s incredible haw these progressives go through life with blinders on – the Rightful have been awakened and are joining the fight.
It's real simple. The Left wants to be able to make big business out to be the bad guy and pit them against the people of lower means. This creates an envious atmosphere by the "have nots" thus making it justifiable for the government to do something to these "meanies" who harm the harm the less fortunate. With corporations not being able to combat these lies by supporting the opposing party with money, the Left is free to build up public support against them and not worry about response ads from corporations.
Let's not forget the Carlyle Group. I know I'm stepping on big toes here and perhaps I should sleep with the lights on tonight.
But how was it that the Carlyle Group received $30 billion from the US government to "buy distressed banks" (as was reported on the Bloomberg Wire) at the same time Hawaiian Telecom was left in ruins for Hawaii taxpayers to clean up.
Being the parent company they couldn't have been compelled to peel off a cool billion to help a seriously struggling state. And how comical (NOT) that the one guy front running PR for the HT bankruptcy was Hawaii's version of an Andy Stern stooge….Neil Abercrombie. And he's now running for governor.
"The goal is to silence political opposition while exempting corporations who agree with them. Namely, media corporations who are 95% liberal."
And then there are those really really big guys – CORPORATIONS – that have THEM ALL in the bag.
Great post, John Nolte. That woman has become so irritating over the past few years that I never listen to her music anymore.
If I were a great singer, I would want to be remembered for that attribute, rather than for my meddling in affairs for which I was not qualified. Pavlov's dog's newest trick is "Barbra Streisand = Pain in the rear." Too bad.
By the way, Barbra, I didn't see your name in the news as the most recent million dollar donator to Doctors Without Borders. Hmmm….
It's ever so easy to sit in your Malibu cliff-top estate (Yes, I've seen it on Google Earth!), and pontificate about how the "litle people" should behave. You know…"People, people who need people…"
Could we find someone to acutally "suspend" Babs "in animation"?
HAHAHAHAHAHA. Boy, that Streisand sure is a good comedic actress. That's some funny shit right there!!
Hello,
The first comment at the end says it all. They are p-()()( off about this situation because the democratic party is the one that usually gets the big bucks, and now they are going to have competition from normal every day people, and org. KIND OF FUNNY THOUGH. WE HAVE A SITUATION FROM LAST YEARS ELECTION, AND THAT IS WE STILL DO NOT KNOW WHERE ALL THE MONEY CAME FROM THAT HELPED OBAMA GET ELECTED.
THANKS,
Larry C.
Babs is BURNT OUT as a political powerhouse, if she ever was.
It's also funny how they don't count recording artists and/or movie studios as corporate entities. They don't call it "The Movie Business" or "The Music Business" for nothing. Recording artists are MORE effective at promoting an agenda than any corporation could ever be because not only is their message a part of their product, their loyal fans PAY THEM for the privilege of the consumption of said message. At least corporations buying ads on behalf of a candidate or cause are forking out the money instead of raping their consumers for it.
I agree with you on pretty much everything except the statement that "corporations…tend to give their money to Democrats."
Corporations like to hedge their bets and usually give 50/50 to the GOP and the DNC candidate. Often they may tilt a bit more, say 60/40 toward the GOP candidate, since the GOP is better for business (less taxes, less regulation, etc). Unions, however, give almost exclusively to Democrats. If they're not giving to Democrats, they're giving to "Greens" or "Working Families" parties. My husband's tecahers union newspaper was RIFE with ads for Hillary Clinton and articles about her. NO GOP candidates' ads AT ALL. My husband is a conservative, so his voice is not heard, and neither are the many other closeted conservative teachers out there. That is like "taxation without representation"!
I felt like I was in suspended animation as I read the Supreme Court decision which essentially enables a corporate coup d’état of America’s Democracy. …
Babs can read? Does massive botox cause suspended animation?
And while I certainly don’t pretend to be a constitutional scholar, I have been reading a lot about this and thankfully, many brilliant minds do agree with me.
No one is pretending Babs is a scholar of any type. She is also guilty of the fallacy of defective induction, or "appeal to authority". Hitler was "brilliant" as well.
Rumors that the "brilliant minds" are actually Ms. Pettigrew's 3rd-grade elementary school classroom have not been verified. However, most would agree that any class of 3rd-graders would be considered "brilliant" in comparison to Babs.
Leftwing corporations: gooooood
Non-leftwing corporations: baaaaaaad
The intellectual firepower on the left wouldn't be able to power an led light. The hilarious part is that these leftwing imbeciles are so ignorant that they have no clue what moronic comments they're making. Liberalism really is a mental disorder.
Commies just enjoy rewriting history to fit their ideology.
She is a dummy. If she knows it or not is another matter. She says corporations have no "rights"
If i print 1,000 copies of her music and sell them, I suspect they would exercise their corporite rights and sue me. How dare xyz record corporation exercise rights.
How about this for "first amendment" protections? Unions are not permitted to make campaign contributions without consulting the opinions of their members!
An article that appeared in Canada Free Press, Williams wrote that only a handful of corporations control the flow of information in America:Absolutely: "And much more than that. They are international corporations in every instance. They have international boards in every instance. They have international interests, in every instance. And they are not a free press the way Jefferson spoke about a free press 200 and some odd years ago.”
In “Are Americans Too Stupid to Run Their Own Country?”. Williams wrote that only a handful of corporations control the flow of information in America:
General Electric – NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Universal Pictures, Universal TV, Telemundo Communications Group, Vivendi Universal, Sony and Liberty Media.
Time Warner – CNN, HBO, Headline News, TBS, TNT, Court TV, WB, Tribune Co., AOL, Time, Fortune, Money, People, Parenting, American Family Publishers, and much more.
Viacom – CBS, UPN, MTV, BET, VH-1, CMT, Nickelodeon, Showtime, Spike, Comedy Central, Paramount Pictures, Infinity radio broadcasting and American Radio Systems, Simon & Schuster.
Disney – ABC, ABC News, History Channel, A&E, Lifetime, Fox Family Networks, Disney, Touchtone, Hollywood, Miramax, Fairchild Publications and Chilton Publications.
News Corp. – Fox, Fox News, TCF Holdings, Twentieth Century Fox, Triangle Publications, Harper Collins.
Just four newspaper organizations control the print media: Gannett, Knight Ridder, New York Times Co., and Tribune Co.
Even fewer in radio: Clear Channel, Infinity, and Cumulus.
“These companies represent the vast majority of American print, TV, radio and movie media and they are all owned or controlled by one or more of the five corporations above. Even worse is the fact that all others re-print or regurgitate their so-called “independent” reporting from these industry powerhouses.”
Do the five media giants in control of public information flow, have a common agenda? Williams answers with questions of his own.
“Who tells the American people that “illegal aliens” are “undocumented immigrants”? Who covers our headlines with anti-American, pro-global / pro-United Nations drivel? Who tells us that our soldiers are “terrorists”, or that terrorists are “freedom fighters” or so-called “insurgents”? Who sells abortion as a “right of privacy”, free religious speech as a violation of the First Amendment and federal dependency on the whole? Does Hollywood have a clear agenda? Yes and so do the companies that own Hollywood.”
Follow the money.

Babs sings:
People. People who need people are the luckiest people in the world. Unless you're conservative, then I'd like to see hot pokers thrust into your eyes, your heart torn out by dogs, and your head on a spike over looking my swimming pool.
The only solution is for tax paying legal US citizens to STOP PURCHASING the "products" being sold by what is factually nothing more than a foreign owned anti-U.S. Constitutional MEDIA CORPORATE EMPIRE.
I agree with everything but the last point. Many progressive propagandists aren't ignorant and know exactly what they're doing, but Streisand IS dumber than a sack of wet squirrels. She doesn't think, she REACTS. Every single "thought" she scribbles down is little more than an emotional belch – the result of her tiny, Gelfling brain trying to digest a new morsel of left-wing effluvium.
Noam Chomsky is intelligent. Rahm Emanuel is intelligent. Babs is just a useful idiot with an entourage of sycophants to make her THINK she's intelligent.
Good Ol' Babs.
I'm surprised she is still around. Haven't heard from her in a long time. I thought they had her velcroed in a wheelchair, sitting at the home, eating jello with Elizabeth Taylor.
She has always struck me as a good singer who is incredibly ugly and used her singing money to cast herself as a leading lady in movies. Her years of blogging have proved to me she has no particular intellect for politics, but worships at the church of "it's all about me!"
This argument that 'a corporation is not people or individuals, it's an entity created by the state' is a load of hummus. The state PERMITS a corporation to operate under rules, but the CREATING is all done, the RISK is all taken, the WORK is all done, by PEOPLE.
Liberals think government creates everything. They think corporations are evil spirits with no actual human beings involved.
She might as well be considering that what comes out of her mouth these days resembles what comes out the other end….
Look out! It's MECHASTREISAND!
in super-spooky-vision…
Do the leftwing imbeciles hate sole professorships? How about partnerships? Is a S corp ok? How about an LLC?
Streisand is what happens when you have a 6th grade education and immerse yourself in leftwing idiocy.
She still alive? She's just another liberal idiot speaking out for her fellow morons.
I would love to see a movie made filled with intrigue about how the unions, leftist media corps and Hollywood are destroying America and capitalism…you know a Wall Street in reverse…filled with regular Americans waking up and fighting back…Hollywood is always making movies about the bad military, bad America, bad Southerners, bad Wall Street — I would just love to see a movie that outs the truth about these left-wingers and their money and propagands…an action film with some conservative hero exposing the truth.
I love quoting these alternate lyrics to "Imagine" any time I see one of these elite idiots get involved with politics they know little about:
Imagine all the actors, and musicians too,
Would stick to acting and singing
With no political views
Imagine Barbara Streisand, falling down a flight of stairs
You may say I don’t like Barbara Streisand,
But I’m not the only one…
no, she still has Jimmy Brolin to escort her around and plenty of $$ for REAL good cosmetic surgery.
Can't cover up the ugliness inside, though.
Alito is a new (although reluctant) pop icon…
If there is one woman in Hollywood that has a "screaming need" for plastic surgery it's Babs. Start with a nose job and follow it up by sealing her mouth shut.
Another idiot weighs in with her knowledge of the constitution…Earth to Babs…unions aren't individuals any more than corporations based upon your logic. Show me in the constitution where it states that only individuals have free speech and I'll buy you a nose job. Maybe you think that freedom of assembly means one person assembling.
Idiot!!!!!!!!!!!
Why, that would make said troll a duplicitous, reprobate, dissembling, partisan hypocrite. Can that be? I thought all liberals were tolerant, loving, free-speechers. Someone just spit on my rainbow. Thanks liberals for bursting my pretty balloon.
On man, that's fun.
Oh dear, not a coup d’état?? It sounds so very French, at least this terrible takeover will be done with style. Bring on the French fries.
Personally I felt that the entire world collapsed around me – with women, children, and minorities suffering the most of course – when I discovered that Babs finally figured out how to use the spell checker! Her ramblings have lost that 'my parents were closely related' folksiness about them that made her semi-sober early AM keyboard pounding a hallmark of the Bush years.
Treacher is that you? (I mean that in the most glowing of terms)
Who the fark gives a rat's patoot what this has-been high school dropout with an IQ less than her shoe size says about anything?
I couldn't read all the comments, so maybe someone else mentioned it, but someone needs to post that old McCain piece on SNL (or wherever) where he sings all of Streisand's hits. Because if she's going to go into politics, then he's going to go into singing. McCain was not a good presidential candidate, but he's pretty funny as late night's token republican.
.
Streisand barely graduated high school, like most of the ignorant left.
That qualifies her to question my freedom of speech. They think free speech only applies to them.
.
I thought that Progessive crone was in suspened animation, and they thaw her out once in a while to prevent freezer burn.
Miss Streisand. I'm a poor man. I live well below the so-called "poverty level." What I want to know is, if you're right and campaign contribution inequalities are a threat to our liberties, why is it only corporations who come in for citicism? Why should YOU be allowed to contribute millions, thousands, or even hundreds of dollars when I can barely scrape together a ten-spot for Senator Puffyhead's re-election campaign? YOUR ability to stymie the will of us poor is just as real as the threat posed by any corporation.
Blabs, you are a flaming hypocrite and a fool.
You're also the poster girl for the "women are better off barefoot and pregnant" crowd. Consider this gem that slipped out of your mouth on a string of drool:
"…while I certainly don’t pretend to be a constitutional scholar, I have been reading a lot about this and thankfully, many brilliant minds do agree with me…"
What does this tell us? Well, first, it tells us you are an egomaniac of the first order since, admittedly lacking any competence in the field, you find it praiseworthy that many brilliant minds agree with you.
Second, it tells us you are delusional and a liar, since you manifestly DO pretend to be a constitutional scholar every time you open your venal flytrap.
Third, it tells us that you make up your mind about things before even considering the evidence. You didn't read what brilliant legal minds have to say and then form a conclusion based upon that, but rather assumed a particular conclusion at the outset and then found some allegedly brilliant minds who seemed to validate your assumption. Of course, whether or not their arguments hold any water is completely beyond your competence to discover.
Fourth and lastly, it tells us that the days of your usefulness as an idiot have ended. The carelessness with which you expose both the vapidity and the modus operandi of the Left makes you much more a liability than an asset to the movement. You should probably sit down and shut up before you blow the whole program.
Bravo!!!!!!!!
When she says corporations must get the approval of their shareholders before they spend money on electoral activity, does she mean also that union bosses have to get approval from union members?
Babs you describe Communism. Pure Marx and Lenin.
We can tax a company and make incredible laws and regulations for a corporation but you say the corporation must shut up. That is the "commune" part of communism. Central authority ran the resources in Russia.
In a free market, a company has a voice. An oil company can donate to the geology classes. Hospitals can donate to med schools. An oil man can donate 20 pianos to a music department. My grad research in three different degree fields was funded by corporations.
Communism failed as an expirement.
[...] UPDATE — January 28, 2010 — A must read… John Nolte really nails the liberal confusion and the overall liberal hypocrisy of the SCOTUS ruling with this excellent Big Hollywood article: Barbra Streisand: SCOTUS ‘Enables Corporate Coup of Democracy’ [...]
Excellent points made. Rahm Emanuel, I believe, is one of the main "puppet masters" of Team Obama. He's not only intelligent, but coldly ruthless and always is out to win – as he has said, "It isn't over until the last vote is counted." Don't ever p*ss him off… dead fish, rapid-fire expletives, and Rahm form a Chicago thug-machine trifecta. I don't fear Streisand or her socialist ilk… Rahm, though… *gulp*
ROFL… would be even funnier if I wasn't a conservative and it wasn't so true.
Kudos.
LMAO – almost lost it sipping coffee over the keyboard, however.
Well said.
Just sing babs. No one cares to hear your opinion.
Ironic that you hate the country that has made you
weathly beyond most peoples dreams. It must suck
getting old.

Barbara Streisand versus John Nolte!
Well I'm glad John has found an intellectual heavyweight that he may consider a good sparing partner. LOL
Is that really a recent photo of the old Blabs? To many Plastic Surgeries and botox injections made her brain soft and mushy. Sorta like the Hollyweird version of Pelosi.
Interesting Premise but most of it falls apart when you realise that much of the shares in all these conglomerations are owned by Fund Managers representing Mutual Funds of the various types. Almost all these Fund Managers are American. They actually sit on the boards of many corporatons but hold huge influence even if they don't have a seat on the board. I cannot see all these differing intrests co-operating on a message that would be mutually benifical. It is Institutional messaging from within and not directed. It is the Instituionality of the message that needs to be addressed. These messages are just accpepted with out though or investigation to validity. We need to get over blind acceptance of anything except in matters of faith.
Brilliant! Thank you.
I would say STFU and sing, but I can't stand that mess either. So just STFU.
Yeah-it could be called ATLAS SHRUGGED-yeah, that's the ticket…
Why is an article on Barbra Streisand even being posted? The only person on Earth who cares what Barbra Streisand thinks about anything is Barbra Streisand.
I wonder what Mr. James Brolin-Streisand has to say about all of this?
Seriously, remembering the puerile posts that Babs was famous for writing on her website a few years back, it appears she has employed a ghost-poster.
Time for Mecha-Streisand!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf2c0fyvy48
Rahm Emanuel is a sick-at-heart, depraved, highly-partisan ex-ballerina. There… I've said it.
"I felt like I was in suspended animation as I read the Supreme Court decision which essentially enables a corporate coup d’état of America’s Democracy. …"
First, I'd be shocked if she actually read the opinion. She probably just read the HuffPo summary
Second, why do these lefties have to be so f-ing melodramatic about everything. "Suspended animation???" Get a life.
Dear Ms. Streisand:
I represent Miss Montego and Mr. Estevez, your former undocumented household workers. My clients have not received their wages for the duration of 5 years in your employ. The contract stated that they would be paid $3.50 an hour, and all of the leftover food they could carry home to their storage containers in the ship yard. By my calculations, at 3.5 per hour, at 3,640 hours per year, at 5 years, you owe my clients $63,700.00 each. If you do not contact our offices immediately, we will be compelled to litigate. Further, my clients would also like their teenage son returned to them forthwith.
Signed,
Miguel Rodriguez, Esq.
Attorney at Law
Babs babbles. ~yawn~ Why does anyone care anymore?
Like Steisand isn't a corporation in her right. Please. And to which candidate did her corporate monies go? She needs to stick to singing instead of talking.
She probably just took her meds.
That's exactly right. There's a troll over on the O'Keefe thread that keeps saying that O'Keefe edited and dubbed his ACORN tapes and wants O'Keefe thrown in jail for the "serious crime of falsifying his identity". But this same tool was silent when ACORN employees were happily helping to promote underage prostitution.
Selective outrage…..
You don't understand the difference? You don't understand that having BofA, AIG, Exxon have the right to buy airtime to promote their candidates will have profoundly negative effects on our election process? Are you so intent on regaining political power that you will accept anything as long as it doesn't come from a Democrat/Commie/Pinko? What a bunch of sheep and rubes you all are.
She has won two Academy Awards, eight Grammy Awards, four Emmy Awards, a Special Tony Award, an American Film Institute award, and a Peabody Award.
She is one of the most commercially and critically successful female entertainers in modern entertainment history and one of the best-selling solo recording artists with more than 71 million albums shipped in the United States and 140 million albums sold worldwide.
She is also, a director and producer. Yup, She's a real dummy.
Perhaps she donates anonymously. She has her own charitable foundation which helps women and children. It’s called the Streisand Foundation and the groups she supports will put all of you into an apoplectic fit. She is also a big supporter of Cedars Sinai.

It is a fabulous album.
"Greatest. Simpsons. Episode. Ever."
Agreed.
"hey Homer, if you could kill somebody on the way out it would help me a lot…"
Streisand: I have been reading a lot about this and thankfully, many brilliant minds do agree with me.
Who are these many brilliant minds, Babs?! Your hair salonists, pet-sitters, chatty neighbors, slavish assistants, charming flatterers, and pillow-flufferers? Details, girl!
She is such a pest and dead weight one at that.
Please please please mail this to Babs. Please! Bravo!
Cowboy, that was DOWNRIGHT HORRIBLE and MEAN (but admittedly funny). I'm not looking forward to getting old like Babs and Liz.
As opposed to having SEIU, AFLCIO, and Acorn fund, promote, defraud, and buy their candidates? Who's your shepherd, Moonbat?
If Barbara Streisand hates it, that makes me love the ruling all the more.
i was going to say that it was sure decent of John to run that old head shot instead of something more current, but then i realized he wasn't being nice to her, he was being nice to us.
"… thankfully, many brilliant minds do agree with me."
Just when you thought the pool these narcissists stare into couldn't get any deeper…!
Not so these days DTOM, wall st corporations were nearly 90/10 in favour of dems, all big law firms are dem backers (don't want ANY tort reform), movie studios virtually all are leftists, when you add them all up there is not a lot of corporations or big business that are NOT left supporters and donors. This is one of the biggest falacies made by the left and convinced most of the population that business = right wingers. About the only proportion that may be 50/50 today is small business.
You'd rather we continue permitting ONLY ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, The NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post or Boston Globe to have THEIR "profoundly negative effects" on our elections, JacklynD?
she has fans; she does sell records, and she is a left wing dilletant…
Oh, please. She isn't that elequent or that well read–I doubt she even wrote that opinion. She embarasses every candidate she endorses, which is why we heard nary a word from her during Obama's campaign.
When will these celebrities acknowledge the fact that wealth and fame do not equate to intelligence or credability?
"while Walmart is silenced."
wow
I've heard everything now.
Yeah, if you go here:
http://allergic2bull.blogspot.com/2010/01/burying...
you will see my fisking of Babs.
No one has said she is not talented. Just a political idiot.
Very good point about the big media being corporations.
Babs is right, all you people out there should be silenced and let us run this country. We know better that you. Look at me, I'm pretty and smart, I'm Barbara Streisand, Barbara Walters, who cares, I'm and the rest of us here in Holly Wood are the smartest people on the planet.
Just say NO to democracy, say YES to Obama and me!!!!!
You're all ugly people. None of you are worthy or qualified to lick the soles of Barbra's Stuart Weitzman pumps. Barbra is a hell of a lot more intelligent than you hateful beings.
I think I heard something about the DSM-IV-TR adding that in the next publication (DSM- V) in 2012 (perfect timing would be after the elections) under personality disorders, right next to antisocial, narcissistic, and borderline personality disorders. Liberalism Personality Disorder will fit nicely on the Axis II.
