Alec Baldwin: Pass ObamaCare to Get Revenge on Republicans

When Leftists are winning the day, they’re just plain arrogant. When Leftists are losing, they’re a helluva lot of fun to watch. Case in point: Alec Baldwin’s latest incomprehensible attack on Republicans courtesy of HuffPo. Here are my favorite snips, but read the whole thing and count the number of times you say, ”huh? — whuh?” Don’t make it a drinking game, though. Suicide’s illegal:
The Pentagon wastes more money on more crap that you and I don’t need and gets it wrong, on a policy level, more often than not since 1960 (I’ll give them a pass on Korea, due to all the Cold War anxiety at the time).
How nice… Baldwin gives the Pentagon a pass on Korea… I’m sure a wave of relief swept through the Military Industrial Complex. “Hey, you can exhale now, the ‘30 Rock’ guy says it’s okay…” And don’t you just love when a Leftist decides to get all bent over government waste? It’s always the military, always the most successful — by a long shot — of our government agencies.
The health care industry wastes untold billions, then passes those costs on to insurance companies who then exploit your fear and pass them on to you. Fear of Al Qaeda. Fear of getting sick without insurance and, therefore, access to effective medical care.
“Fear of Al Qaeda”…?
Huh?
Oh yeah, that’s right… Yesterday a letter arrived from United Health: “Vote against ObamaCare or be beheaded by terrorists.”
Health care reform means less money for insurance companies. Thus less money for the GOP. We should pass this bill for that reason alone.
You have to appreciate the honesty of that statement. ObamaCare’s not something anyone can defend. It’s not as if Baldwin’s about to give up his Cadillac Health Coverage to join us in line for Chemo should Obama and Pelosi win the day. So all he can do is fling HuffPoo and hope some of his hateful nonsense sticks. At the end of the day, however, Baldwin’s personal policy decisions — like many of his brethren — really do come down to what will hurt the other side, not what’s best for America or the poor. It’s all about The Hate.
So why the crazy public rant?
Frustration.
Before their very eyes hopeandchange is going down in a big flaming ball of empty suit, and frustration levels on the Left are on the rise. Even Baldwin’s online hostess, the True Believer Dennis Miller calls “The Smart Gabor,” is publicly thinking “uh,oh.”
As Obama’s public opinion polls plummet lower than a gaff-tastic presidential bow and everything the Left believes in fails to create jobs, make the world love us or convince Independents to climb aboard the Socialist Train to Ruin — as Obama limps his way towards Worst President Ever status and 2010 looms — we can only hope to see alot more of this.

Uh…yeah Alec, that is exactly why I'm against ObamaCare. I currently have good health insurance that I would like to keep. Less money for the insurance companies means that my costs will go up to keep the insurance I like and sooner or later I will end up in the bread line…er…needle line with all the other hopenchangers.

The military is an insurance policy, it's always wasteful until you actually need it. Problem is always how much coverage (contingencies in the case of the military) are you willing to pay for?

Alex, you punk loud-mouth bully, the problem is that Government currently controls 46.5% of all Health care spending. With it, they cover 27% of the people. The Government underpays for procedures, which causes Clinics/Doctors to overcharge private insurers.
So, effectively, Government is spending over 50% of the Health Care dollars to cover 1/4 of the people. Meaning those insurance companies are covering 3/4 of the people with less than half the money. Thank You, Insurance Companies. Alex, FBHO!

Lefty meltdowns are truly a sight to behold. When the going gets tough, blame the Republicans. It is a time-honored tctic used by lefty freaks across the country. Here in Cali, we have a Democratic majority in our legislature, but its not enough for tax-hikes, so they pull out the old "Republicans are standing in the way of progress. They eat babies and want you to die and rape the family pet" or some such thing. It will never stop, even after it is proven that Dems are their own worst enemies, it will continue to be the Repub's fault. Denial is not just a river in Egypt my friends.
How much can you know about finances or economics when you have a wallet full of credit cards, and bunch of accountants making sure the bills are paid so you can get what ever you want, when ever you want?
I used to have a friend I haven't seen in years in the music business, and he knew the band Areosmith. They'd stop by and hang out at his house when ever they were in town for a concert. He told me one time one band member asked to barrow $50 to buy some pot. He said you guys are loaded, you're rock stars. He replied have you ever tried to buy pot with a credit card?

I prefer Adam Baldwin. Alec has years of "College" under his belt: 4 years at George Washington University, and unknown how many years at NYU, while Adam finished high school then went on to the school of hard knocks driving truck before starting his acting career.
So how come Adam can succinctly postulate an argument and eloquently make a point while Alec sounds like a babbling idiot every time he opens his fool mouth. Just goes to show the brain rotting power of rampant veganism.

Alec Baldwin, the new "Joe McCarthy" of the left. Mastoidpress is correct, Baldwin is doing this to create attention and publicity. The guy is an extremely funny guy and talented. His boozy, unhappy tortured spoiled Hollywood elitist thing, holds absolutely no credibility and is only good on a "reality" campy entertainment level. We no longer have any form of journalism objective or otherwise, its all just sensational entertainment. Our TV media people are nothing more then paid dividers, their views are spoon fed to them based on what sells the most soap, beer and cars. It's all bread and circus stuff to keep people tuned in.
The scary thing that no one speaks of is that politician both Republican's and Democrats are dis attached from their constituency, our liberties are being eroded and we as a citizen's of a democracy are losing our right to "see the sausage being made so to speak. It's all about my team vs. their team, us against them and you have to choose sides. And by choosing sides it's not our ideas against their ideas, it's validating my guy over their guy, no matter what my guy stands for…he/she could be a murderous, psychopathic evil human being who consciously wants to do harm and no one would care, as long as he is on your team. In the end, we the people lose, Team Oberman win's because it's guy "got in their face", and Team FoxNews wins because they got soundbites to reply over and over again to transfer the idea that a boozy ass like Baldwin is the poster child for all people who have liberal/socialist leaning ideals. Happy Thanksgiving, if some of us could stop whining a bit and look around you would see that we have a lot to be thankful for. Challenges to face, drama to witness no doubt, yet we live in the greatest of times, in the greatest of Countries and we get to live in freedom another day.

take a look at your numbers in the first paragraph… they directly contradict the numbers in the second unless the privately insured persons pays with fake money that doesn't count.

I've always found it odd, that people such as Alec Baldwin, think the real enemy of our wonderful country, is the GOP. Not the Al-Quiada, or the Taliban, and other assorted Islamic terrorists, who pose a very real threat, but a party whose politics and beliefs are different from there's. I grew up without insurance. My family paid cash for medical care. We were poor, but we were healthy. I remember complaints back then, in the '50s, about high taxes, but looking back, there wasn't much tax at all! I remember lazy people who wouldn't work, but everyone that I knew was working. I mowed lawns, sold news papers, washed dishes and cleaned stalls and whatever else I could do honestly to earn a few honest dollars. The children in my family sold xmas cards door to door and got xmas clothes in return, and always a toy. My family was very conservative so most of us kids grew up liberals in the '60s. I was liberal right up to the point when I got my girlfriend pregnant; aborton had by then become an option but not for us. We got married and raised a daughter (now very educated and well respected), who became pregnant out of wedlock. She never consideed abortion either. It is not that a conservative can stop people from having sex, a conservative lives with, and often loves the consequences, with a clear conscience.

No, my number are fine, you may have missed my point.
Government spent 46.5% of all Health Care dollars (as of 2005 – likely more now).
BUT There is a hidden cost to Medicare and Medicaid. The Government by law makes doctors take a below market rate for a procedure. Therefore, the cost of that procedure that the doctor charges to the private market is the market rate + a markup to cover the government shortfall.
I personally have implemented analytics used by Clinics and doctors to determine how much to charge health insurance companies for any given procedure. The standard rule began like this: Take the Government Medicaid rate for the procedure. Multiply it by 150%. This is my base line. I must average this amount private insurance companies to break even because of the forced government below market payment.
My point is, when you recognize that that extra amount pushed onto the private insurance, is actually the hidden cost of government health care. Therefore, government is really costing us over 50% of the Health care dollars to cover 1/4 of the people.

Several years ago at Thanksgiving, we all had to write down what we were thankful for. I wrote that I was thankful that "all the hippies are mad. For as long as the hippies are mad, the world must be right."
Back around election/inauguration time, the hippies were no longer mad. In fact, they were happy and I could tell that things were going the wrong direction.
