Elite Celebs Shill For MoveOn.Org, ObamaCare
by John Nolte–
The question none of these elites will ever answer is whether or not they’re willing to give up the Cadillac health benefits they currently enjoy through “evil” insurance companies, and accept the government-run ObamaCare they’re so eager to condemn the rest of us to.
When the ”public option” puts our non-Cadillac plans out of business, when the “public option” makes the penalty for not providing health insurance cheaper for employers than providing it… Those of us who aren’t millionaires, celebrity and otherwise, will all be on rationed ObamaCare.
Which, by the way, is the Master Plan. And I know this because my President told me so. And so did Barney Frank.
If Will Ferrell’s willing to join us on the “public option” he’s so excited for … great!
Until then, he and his rich, privileged ilk are nothing more than the newest generation of Useful Idiots lobbying to hurt our families and strip us of our freedoms.

I wish I recognized more of these "stars" so I would know to avoid their shows and movies. Will Farrell was already on my list.
Hey Will, did you know that competition would mean that ALL insurance companies could compete in ALL states? No? Could it be because you can't or won't educate yourself? Yeah, that's the ticket.
Yeah, I think I recognized 3 of them – and both Will Farrell and Donald Faison's latest movies kind of tanked at the box office, so I guess they needed the work. Oh yeah, wasnt the one guy in Heroes? I don't know since I don't watch it…
Stars? Ha ha ha ha. Now that's funny.
So since it's Funny or Die…if it's patently unfunny are they required to uphold the terms?
I have never heard so much drivel in my life. It is nice to know who is clueless in Hollywood. They are wrong on so many levels its like its a parody of itself. If they think Private Insurance companies will revoke a claim from a typo, what do they think the government will do? Thousands of claims are being rejected in the Cash for Clunkers fiasco and that is small potatoes in comparison. They are making fun of CEOs that have money and houses, etc. are they looking in a mirror or is it only politicians and Hollywood stars that get to have those luxuries? Competition, let's send them to Thomas Sowell's Econ 101. They have no clue.
Well, I've seen my last Will Ferrell movie in the theater, I hope being a mindless, ill-informed jackass in front of the world was worth it to him.
I like how the guy makes sure to remind us how they're being sarcastic at the end. Shows you what they really think about the intelligence level of the people this is aimed at.
I'm also not sure I'd say this was full of celebrities as Farrell and the guy from Heroes were the only ones I recognized.
John hits the nail on the head. Moore, Farrell, Pelosi et al WILL NOT be with us to wait 35 weeks for a urologist. If purchasing health care directly is made illegal (as has been done in Canada) the wealth will simply jet to Europe or central America or the Carribbean for excellent private care. I expect that hospital-resorts will be built in the BVI to cater to wealthy Americans receiving top-notch "off shore care" while the peasants suffer with the socialized care.
Well, they deserve it! They're PROGRESSIVES!
HA HA HA ROFLMFAO
Thanks for spelling it out for the lemmings John. It's scary that the libs blindly follow their messiah so easily with so little real information.W/e barry and Will Ferril says must be true. Will Ferril is cool,Will wouldn't lie to me.I love to watch a good movie, but I truly am done with deceitful smug hollywood leftists that will lie to the very people paying for their lavish lifestyle while corrupting and trying to pornify our youth. Not a big sacrifice. They only produce 1out 15 good movies anyway.Furthermore they shot themselves in the foot by politicizing every movie they make.Always gotta throw some propaganda message in there don't ya.Even the kids movies are littered with them.Get them while their young right?Boycott Hollywood. These idiots never get the message until it shows in their accounts. We gave them their lifestyle and eventually we can at least get their attention by stopping the gravy train.
As I posted elsewhere, of course these guys are all for socialist healthcare…if they get sick all they have to do is pull the "do you know who I am" to get to the top of the waiting list or they can hop into their Gulfstreams and get treated at a foreign clinic for their next drug overdose or herpes outbreak.
Maybe the Governemnt could take over the arts also….wait….what?

Hey, cut poor Ferrell some slack. He HAS to star in this propaganda. Since his last movie bombed, shilling for MoveOn.Org is the only chance he'll get to stand in front of a camera not pointed at him by his mom.
Yes!
Welcome to the club! I pride myself on never having paid money to see any of his dumb movies whether in theaters, DVD, or cable. He's simply the most unfunny funny person on the planet. He has company with many of his SNL buddies that have been making nonfunny comedies over the last 15 years.
I think I recognized two, maybe three of them. And their sarcasm makes them sound more elitist than helpful. After all, they make a lot of money doing what they do. Why shouldn't other people in other industries be able to make a living too?
What about all the people the insurance companies employ? And then all the companies that depend on the money that comes from those people conducting (evil) commerce in the community? And you pulled that 80% out of the same places you have your heads.
These sofa-king-we-todd-did (say it slowly) self-appointed elitists, in Hollyweird, are just as bad as the rump smooching, laughable, joke of a media that exists today. Really, we are laughing, but not for the reasons you think. Baw haw haw haw haw haw haw
I can understand Will Farrell doing this. He's a one note "comedian" and his career has pretty much run its course. Now, he's just trying to stay relevant and in the news by conforming to his liberal masters that may dangle potential work in front of him.
But Olivia Wilde? Say it ain't so, Olivia! Your stupidity and liberal conformism makes you kind of ugly!
Bad career move, Olivia.
Losers and Followers all!
He still does funnier stuff than Martin Lawrence, yet you don't speak out against THAT c**n…
Just like the lies you neo-cons so blindly follow…
Were they all represented by Rahm's brother?
Uhh, who's Olivia Wilde?
Gee whiz, that was funny!! Those jackasses at Moveon.org really know how to knock em dead. By the way, who in the hell were those people, besides Will Ferrell? And what is up with his hair? Yes, we all can rest assured that they and Mike Moore will enroll in the public option and wait like the rest of us for life saving treatment.
By the way, my little one had two surgeries in the last year, and I have had no problems whatsoever with the insurance companies. Nothing but praises from me when it comes to our health care institution, so let's destroy it and take on what they have in Zimbabwie or something.
"If my kid falls off his bike and breaks his leg, he should have to pay that money out of pocket…out of his allowance."
Bwah ha ha ha ha… XD
How's about this instead: "My kid should have to pay a higher tax to cover health care for millions of illegal aliens out of pocket…from his allowance."
Yeah, these HMO executives are extraordinarily greedy. But the correct thing to do is to FIRE THEM!!!…not use them as an excuse to create Big Government health care.
Well, I already detested Farrell, but Jon Hamm? I love Mad Men. It is the ONLY show I watch on television. Interesting how a man who made 20 million for that dog "Bewitched" is worried about Insurance Company execs making too much money. Irony, all of these people on the D-List and not getting $$$$.
Thanks D. Duke for reminding me of the stupid punch lines that masquerades as liberal thought. It's what made me give up being a Democrat long ago.
Mad Men is run by Matt Winer who put down Bush at his Emmy win…all a buch of left wing Obama whores.
I bet none none of these vacuous dimwits have ever lived with a user pays public option health non system. Giving up Ferrell movies is not exactly a hardship but I;ve now added him, Faison, etc. to my list of people I will not support with my ticket buying dollar. So far I haven't missed not seeing Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Robert Redford and the rest of the Hollywood rodent pack one iota . However, as their careers sink and their movies fail maybe they should wake up and smell the Kool Aid they are drinking and realise the warm inner glow they feel by being Obamarama's ho's does have repercussions.
When it comes to humor, Funny or Die is mostly just Die.
Sorry Will, I missed you in "Land of the Lost"………………………………………………….I see your still living there though…………..You idiot. Go make another money losing crappy movie, it's the only thing your good at……..Loser.
Hey, Will, the next 10 mil you "earn" as an actor would go a long, long way paying for some folks with no health insurance. That 10 mil would cover about 300 hundred "families" at 250.00$ per month for 12 months. How about it, cool cat? Think you can get it done?
Gee whiz, still more "artists" shilling for Barry's Agenda? How many conference calls were made anyway? What was SAG and/or others threatened with and/or promised, tax changes for movie and TV productions?
Same could be said about the heatlh care reform.
I mean…don't these knuckleheads know when it’s time to just shut up and mind their own business like the rest of us?
No one is going to their performances anymore, they lose money hand over fist and they’re, well, just stupid.
Not Over.
Based on the name of the site, I guess all these "stars" are dead, because it wasn't even remotely funny.
Will Sparrow? Wasn't he in Pirates of the Carribean?
I agree, when will the heartbreak end? I too am a Mad Men/ Jon Hamm fan. I'm not old enough to know this firsthand, but I've heard there was a time when celebrities didn't wear their politics on their sleeves, and thereby didn't repulse and offend half the population at every opportunity. I guess those halcyon days are long gone.
Obama, Will and Hollywood, on a routine expedition, the greatest disaster every known (govt. healthcare), high on the rapids, it plunged their tiny raft, 1000 feet below, to the Land of the Lost!!!!!!!
New lyrics: …where they met the evil Sleestacks – Barney, Harry and Nancy….in the Land of the Lost!!!!!!
These people are clueless idiots.
Lets see, they can make millions of dollars acting like they're someone else, but demonize people who are actually
creating jobs, and providing a service that helps folks.
Why do these brain dead, uninformed phonies continue to spout-off about things they clearly know nothing about?
Here's what you do Will, take about 95% of your money and give it away to the dregs that you like so much, then maybe I'll listen, till then STFU!
Who the hell are these people? Celebrities? Yeah, more like lower-scaleb-movie actors. The Farell wanker is the only one I even recognize. Then again, I don't watch much television and I haven't paid for a movie ticket since I went to see Roger Deakins' work in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
I was expecting Ferrell to say " Where's my Public Option, b*tch?"
Yes insurance companies are evil and the government is good. Now ask yourself this question… You go into work and there are two calls on your call sheet… one is from your insurance agent and the other is from the IRS. Which call gives you a sick feeling in your stomach?
"two calls on your call sheet"
Perfect. But you understand that these Movie St*ars don't actually have to check their own messages. They have very under-paid lackeys to answer the phone, make most of the daily decisions, pick up the laundry, pick up the dog poop, cover the cat poop, etc.
Why can't these liberals see the opportunity that is theirs for the taking. Instead of the public option, what we really need is the "People's Insurance Company". There's plenty of seed money in the rich liberal elite areas of this country to get this off the ground. Will Ferrell can start by selling his $40M palace (with the 10' high walls to keep the people he so cares about out of his way) and moving in to a $20M mansion (with a much more accommodating 8' wall). Since the Peoples Insurance company would pursue only minimalist profit goals while maximizing employee compensation and benefits and serving everyone without regard to need or expense, it will steamroll the current crop of insurance companies. I would like to be the first to sign up with such a noble enterprise. Think about it, this would be the first time ever where liberals would put their money (currently offshore) where their mouth is, other than those bastions of honesty and goodwill, ACORN and the ACLU.
Dear Will Ferrell –
When you stop making millions of dollars on crap movies like "Semi Pro," "Step Brothers," and "Blades of Glory" then I'll listen to you complain about CEO's making millions of dollars doing a real job.
Since the video was a farce they did not let facts get in their way to tell it like it is, NOT!
Oh, God, I wished somebody would give me some advanced warning on this. It wasn't until the 20 second mark that I realized that that was a mock ad.
Oh, wait, it said MoveOn on the tagline. Never mind…
No they don't know when to shut up…They're actors and as an actor i can tell you that without a doubt we love to hear ourselves talk. Our job includes research for roles and that research largely consists of whatever information will support the director's vision for the project. So because we do research, we think we know everything on that subject. (I kind of like to see all sides of the issues myself but that's because I'm fair minded–and being conservative helps! =) ) Then they open their pie holes and spew stuff they haven't thoroughly researched.
I'm going to take this as 'parody'. And not take it personally. These are hollywood types. If they studyed things instead of what the SAG tells them to think, they would change their minds.
As comedy, it stinks!
"Shut up and sing"
When will these people realise we don't give a crap what they think.
Been asking that same question for some time…. funny how every Jen I know in the suburban Cincy is bright and funny, that wonder if you are one of them
.
Now why did you have to ruin my day with that vid?…..I blame myself really. I could have avoided it but nooooooI had to click on it. Now I get to steel myself and press onward to a rehearsal where I will be surrounded by Will Farrell wannabe's (if you can imagine that!) who sit around and talk about how stupid conservatives are for not listening to "both sides!" One of these days I'll be coming out of the closet. Meanwhile I have to finish this show. Pray for me will ya?
[...] People on the Motion Picture Health Insurance Plan, and throw-aways. [...]
Will those jerks be stuck with government run heath care like us. Sure they will just like congress..
And you're not missing anything, believe me. I gave three years of my life to that show (well, to watching it, anyway), and it got so out of control last season there's just no hope anymore.
No, it doesn't make her any less hot, just kind of stupid.
Are you criticizing Martin Lawrence? Careful, that makes you a racist.
Thanks for your thought provoking reply.
For over 30 years I worked as a highly paid, professional commercial photographer all over the world. Mostly in Europe during the 80's and 90's.
Most of my contemporaries where folks on the left, (the so-called self proclaimed “Artists”, damn I hated that mind set).
So I learned all about how they think, act and procreate.
You're right, they truly think they know it all, and will talk sh!t to you day and night if you let them.
I chose not to let them.
I don’t think they like me anymore. Oh well.
Not Over.
You know, whenever I need advice on an important political issue, I always say to myself "Self, what would an actor do? What are their deep thought on these momentous concepts?" I first started doing this in the seventies, when I looked to Jane Fonda for information on nuclear power.
There was a veritable boom of Jens here in the early 70's. In the grade school I attended, there were seven of us in one class. You can hardly swing a cat here without hitting one. ☺
I think they polled 10 people at a Whole Foods store. 8 said they support the public option, 2 were opposed, and both dissenters were promptly banished from the store until they came up with the correct answer.
Do you do headshots? =) I get to leave in an hour and fifteen minutes to "enjoy" more brilliant conversation and insight whilst rehearsing a post-Barack-as-President play where all is harmony and no one believe's in anything solid anymore. Hegemony has been reached. Everything is grey and the earth is queen. Next time I am asked to be a part of a friend's new play, I'm going to read the thing first. (Gee. For a smart woman I can sure be dumb sometimes.)
You're right. Not Over.
Good daddy. See the comment after yours. That was actually meant for you. I need more sleep!
These people are just some more useful idiots.
Well, I am old enough, and It was halcyon days compared to now. I remember in the late 80's-early 90's when this stuff really started ginning up with all those Bad-Aide, Farm-Aide, etc concerts. It seemed to bloom from there.
I always go back to Sarah Jessica Parker who said during one of the past 3 presidential elections, that her aunt wouldn't be able to get healthcare if George Bush were reelected. Didn't occur to her that she has an inflated 7 figure salary and she could pay for her auntie's medical bills. It's proven that liberals don't give squat to charities, unless it involves a tree or a snail darter (and even then they want to steal from tax payers), but want mother government to steal and give away your money.
Communists only oppose OTHER people making money.
Hey geniuses… Insurance companies that DON'T make money can't hire employees or provide benefits to their subscribers.
And Farrell — I appreciate my health insurance, which helps keep me and my family in optimal health. Unlike your inane drivel, which just further dumbs down society.
I'm **this** close to completely boycotting everything out of Hollyweird.
If we were still kids at school…. these jerks would be getting a recess butt kicking… "PLAYGROUND RULES 101"
2 minutes and 20 seconds of my life I'm never getting back. Yikes! But why you, John Hamm, wwhhhyyy?!?!?!?!
They were probably taunted to death by the hygiene-challenged liberals.
It is just a lie, like so much other stuff that comes out of their mouths.
Jon Hamm has just become another Hollywood bimbo…
I will still enjoy oogling his body while laughing at his brain.
Hey, if Will's career continues on it's current pace he may have to join the government plan. The actors that don't have a string of hits won't be making the big bucks. If Will got 10M for "Land of the Lost" I'll bet that he sure as hell won't make anywhere close to that for his next. From what I've been reading even most stars are now at the mercy of producers much less a one trick pony like Farrell.
Ok, If the "arts community and entertainers" are for it, it MUST be BAD for flyover-land Americans that make our country WORK . It's easy to be a socialist when you have a couple of million in the bank and and a strong accountant and tax attorney.
Does anybody want to tell me where they came up with 80%? Also, does anyone really think if we go to national healthcare that rich actors would do the same plan? We already know that Congress and the President will not have the same plan. So the elite in our sociey now are stupid actors who make a living off imitating ex-presidents and male and female members of congress who can't make it in the real world and bring nothing of value to it.Wow, I am sure excited about that future!! I was hoping Will Farrell would jump in, he's just so much smarter than the rest of us!
Well, guess I don't need to watch Heroes or Scrubs anymore. Then again, Heroes was already off the list for homosexual propaganda. Why can't they make it more like season one, when it was good?
I'm all for investing in insurance companies. Then I can use the money to–gasp!–pay for my own health insurance!
On top of that, do the math on what Cash for Clunkers cost, versus what it "saved" us. Health care is crazy expensive–it'll only get worse once it's subsidized.
http://www.atr.org/presidential-math-cash-clunker... This website has the numbers on Cash for Clunkers. Spend 3 billion, save 375 million. Makes sense, right?
Sign a contract stating that you will give up your SAG benefits, then make a video. Until then, shut up.
It's easier than actually doing a poll, or even Googling the top five polls and averaging them out.
And I assume that all of those people are now self-insured. If they do not wish to purchase the product those private businesses are selling, they are certainly free not to. They neglect to note that a major reason for the cost of medical care is that neither buyer or seller has any relation to the PAYER. But lets all look around like Willie Sutton, and steal from where the money is.
even the most positive tales of the Canadian system that I've heard, that is EXACTLY how their system works.
It's all social connections, your status, who you know. If you're Joe-On-The-Street, you wait 6 months for your MRI.
I'm still trying to connect the dots between "insurance execs make too much money" and "give more control over to the government".
The only entity you can be TOTALLY sure WILL mess things up MORE is the government. Name one problem the government has solved. Poverty? Drugs? Education? Energy?…… anyone?
Execs make too much? Medical costs too high? Reduce government's role. Open up competition to all 50 states. Get people more involved in haggling their own bills. Amazing how prices drop when people are involved themselves…
I knew there was a reason I never liked Will Ferrell.
That could be a problem. I don't know who most of them are!
The Government could never foster competition. If it competed on the same playing field, they would go broke, i.e. USPS (2bil loss a qrtr), Medicare and SSN (both bankrupt and is on the verge of collapse). The only way for their bloated, fraud ridden, inefficient programs to survive is to raise taxes, cut benefits and limit access. Is this what we want for health care? Otherwise, they will bankrupt the insurance companies because the gov't has an printing press. they don't have to make a profit or pay their bills and employees from their revenue. There is no middle ground. Competition would be fostered if the gov't let them compete with each other across state lines like all of the other insur companies. Life and auto insurance got much cheaper sine you can get them anywhere.
I had forgotten about that. Screw em, then. I can go another 10 yrs without watching tv dreck.
Yes, they have no clue that a lot of IRAs, 401ks and other investments and retirees get their income from the profits of insurance companies. None of these bozos ever ran a business or met a payroll. They get paid from the magical Hollywood money machine and have no clue where it comes from. If it were possible, I'd love to get every non-communist American to just stop going to movies and watch TV and then see how these people would support themselves. The problem is, too many people like us would suffer first, i.e. small business owners that cater, deliver, chaffeur, etc.
Trying to help people! Those bastards!
The putrid stench passed off as "Law Enforcement" enables this swill.
Oh look! Its the shiny movie stars. *snaps her gum*
I think Will Ferrell should start a NFP and call it "Liberals for indolent behavior" or LIB. Mr. Ferrell can make the first donation of 60 million dollars, which also just happens to be his salary from his last four movie's. LIB can then go out a solicit donations from all the multi-million dollar Hollywood talent and they can pay for FREE health care. While we're at it, why doesn't The Bill and Malinda Gates foundation throw in a couple of their billions, because we know there're good for it and why don't they get their old ass friend Mr. Buffett, because we know he's really good for it. In fact why does anyone in Hollywood even take a salary? If they feel so strong about free health care, free cars, free food, free education, free gas, free clothes, free cell phones, free houses, free t.v.'s( plasma of course), free pets, free whatever the indolent in this country wants, they should foot the bill. I can visualize the new PSA's right now on NBC. If they follow the Obama slogan of " yes we can" LIB could have a multi-billion dollar fund to pay for all the indolent behavior money can buy.
I'm claiming "dibs" as of now; I have first priority to move my family into Will Ferrell's mansion, since he is personally lobbying for policies which will render me unable to feed my family. Remember the slogan, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need?" I claim first access to Will Ferrell's ability, you all can find your own host.
We can move in next week, what do you say, Will? Three bedrooms and two bath rooms should suffice for our needs. We're flexible, to a degree, on access to the pool and spa.
Ivan
Great commercial….the fear of public option is a complete hoax. Smart companies and even smarter insurance companies will find ways to keep their customers. As a veteran of the U.S. military, I have a form of government insurance and guess what? I pay for the service. Just because the government puts something out doesn't make everyone want it. People buy BMWs and other cars because that's what they want. Businesses make money by studying the market segment and targeting those consumers they want. The public plan is for those people who can't afford insurance not for those with Cadallac plans. What it will do is introduce competition. Fear of competition makes a business weaker not stronger and any one who knows business knows they have to compete.
I hope you aren't claiming Will Ferrell's "acting" "ability".
The banks got bailed out and turned around to help the consumers? False. Here's something to consider about lack of competition and fear of competition. Nike makes its shoes overseas because of cheaper labor and thereby passing the savings on to who? The closed the factories, got cheaper shoes, cheaper labor and still sell high. The car companies didn't want to compete and gave up massisve parts of the market to overseas companies. So its only a matter of time before a company overseas starts to sell better insurance policies because they are better managed. Those companies will be subsidized by foreign governments to cover to compete against American Insurance companies that don't want government involvment. Toyota has been susidized by its government and they are whooping but and taking names. Its only a matter of time before the insurance companies get theirs!
Umm…what's even funnier is the fact that Sarah Jessica Parker is, what, in her 40s? Thus her aunt is probably at least 20 years older than that, so let's say 60s. Let's say she qualifies for Medicare or maybe even has it. Now we know that healthcare will be provided by raising taxes and cutting Medicare, thus her care may be cut by being on Medicare. Plus, she is older and not a priority as far as medicine goes (since rationing DOES occur) thus she may experience mediocre care that way.
I agree with you. SJP can fork up her own money to pay for it. Better yet, how about EVERYBODY who voted for or thought the stimulus was a good idea can pay for that too.
B.S., your entire post is B.S.!! I am a small business owner, so I know that competition makes all players stronger. This is why, contrary to the myth spun by the Left, big business is in the pockets of the Democrats; big business doesn't like losing market share to "upstarts".
Fair competition, by definition, EXCLUDES competing with the federal government who, in case it escapes your notice, doesn't need to turn a profit because IT PRINTS THE MONEY, your moron! BTW, have you ever wondered why the US Postal Service, by legislative fiat, doesn't compete with UPS or FedEx? The answer is, because the USPS cannot compete!!!
B.S., your name is appropriate!!
Ivan
In sampling some of these posts, it occurs to me that those rich liberals who are gung-ho for this class warfare posture should be very careful; there is only so much of THEM to go around. I still lay claim to Will Ferrell's largeness!
Ivan
Everybody wants everything for FREE nowadays.
I was sitting in my college class and literally 90% of the students in my class said it was wrong for universities to charge tuition…huh? It was so pathetic. If there is a service to be provided, then it must be paid for. Nothing is free. Healthcare will be paid through higher taxes and cuts to Medicare.
Here's how the discussion goes:
Should everyone have access to healthcare?
Answer: They already do. Some people may not be able to afford healthcare but it isn't illegal to anybody. Now, not everybody is able to afford a BMW or a Mercedes, but if the market was flooded with BMW's the prices would come down, thus let's flood the market with healthcare. First of all, let people buy the same plans the Senators, the President, and Representatives are on. That would open up the market. How about incentives for new business' to open up? Sound good? I believe so.
I have no problem with people profiting from healthcare. People also profit off dead people. You wanna bury or cremate your relative? Pay for it. Should we nationalize burials and cemetery services too? We profit off selling cute little puppies as well. Should we nationalize that?
Plus, even with socialized healthcare PEOPLE ARE STILL PROFITING. Those people? POLITICIANS.
Celebs, stick to acting or whatever it is that you do. I don't want to hear your opinions, not because I don't share them, but because you can't articulate well without throwing temper tantrums at those damn racist tea-partiers. Oh, and because your policies have been proven to fail many, many times.
