Continued: Of course, being that my sister is in the percentage that will end up paying for said health care, yet will probably not actually use Obamacare, her's is a special sort of situation…why is it the rich always want to tell us poor what to do? I'm actually hoping that if Obamacare does go through it will affect her husband's salary AND add to his patient load, just so I can say: "Told you so!"

Susan – I'm a medical transcriptionist by trade and recently had the opportunity to transcribe a report regarding a 90-year-old patient who was being hospitalized due to Medicare refusing her oxygen supplementation at home. She had gone for weeks without oxygen, although the doctor did not explain why this was. My sister, a retired nurse and Obamacare supporter (who also happens to be married to a very wealthy heart surgeon), seemed to think it had something to do with the patient's probable "no-code" status." My sister REFUSED to believe that Medicare would allow anyone to suffer like that, until I explained what came at the end of the transcription. The doctor sounded completely annoyed at the fact that they weren't even sure if Medicare would pay for this woman's oxygen while she was in the hospital! Even with this information, my sister still seemed to have the belief that the government will know what's best for all of us as far as our health care is concerned.
