Mr. Nolte,
Just got done watching GT (rented, amazon) a second time and may damn well buy it. Yes, touching.
Did you notice in the opening scene Pincus' patient small-talking (but after now realizing it, not so small for her) just before he successfully interrupts her blah-blah-blah by shoving the plaster into her mouth what she was talking about? It was a nice tying up of loose ends when the teddy bear was returned.
You made me bust out laughing recalling the price tag on the shirt. What grander gesture could a jerk make to show he's interested?
I don't know what to make of the scene in the park where Gwen coalesces all of the times Pincus said something only Frank and she would know and fights the idea that Bertram has contact with the deceased Frank. And then, on a dime, turns to defend its possibility. I'll have to think about that one.
But, you're right, no one who could've saved that cat but Gervais ('cept a younger Nathan Lane?)
