Stand Up Notes from Flyover Country: Sarah Palin for Czar-Czar
by Jeffrey JenaAccording to PolitiFact.com the Obama administration has thus far appointed twenty-eight czars! You may have missed some of these but we now have a Great Lakes Czar, so those lakes stay in line and don’t opt for moving to Canada. Come to think of it, some of the Great Lakes already belong to Canada. I wonder if Canada has their own Great Lakes Czar? If they do and there is a conflict would it be Czar Wars?
We now have a Sudan Czar. I thought they had their own Czar, but hey, if it helps improve our image in the Arab world I am all for loaning them a Czar or two. We have a Health Czar despite the fact we have a Surgeon General and to be honest I’m not sure who’s in charge of health. You might think a Czar would outrank a general but a number of third-world countries with tons of Generals are run by colonels.
I addition to having a Czar just for Sudan we have an Afghanistan Czar. Isn’t the President afraid that some countries will feel miffed that he didn’t appoint a Czar just for them? I thought we had a whole State Department with Czars called “ambassadors.” We now have a Mideast Peace Czar and a Mideast Policy Czar. At least the Obama administration has a clear understanding that these two things aren’t related.
We have Herb Allison who is the TARP Czar and Earl Devaney the Stimulus Accountability Czar. Apparently Mr. Allison is not a very accountable guy and needs his own Czar to keep him in the straight and narrow. Do they both answer to the Economic Czar?
We have a Weapons Czar and a Weapons of Mass Destruction Czar; I hope that doesn’t lead to weapons envy.
We have a Border Czar, a Terrorism Czar and an Intelligence Czar. What if a terrorist is crossing the border? Who do we call? Come to think of it, why do we even need a terrorist Czar since Janet Napolitano has told us there are no acts of terrorism only “man-created disasters?”
What this country really needs is a Czar Czar — one uber-Czar to keep all the minor Czars from getting out of line. A person who is feared for their hard line principles. A person with a proven record of successfully eliminating government waste and creating economic success. At the same time the Czar Czar should be someone who can understand and relate to the common man and woman.
Yes, I think Sarah Palin would be an excellent Czar Czar. Hopefully, she will be considered for the job in 2012.

Grand Moff Emanuelle: The Imperial Senate is no longer of concern. His holy Emperor Hussein has dissolved that last remant of the old republic. His regional governors/Czars now hold direct control of their territories. Fear will keep them in line gentlmen. Fear of this socialist battle station..
zzzz HUH?
BO: Rohm, wake up.. time for another beer summit!
I thought there were more of upwards toward 45 or 50 czars already appointed. More of that "saving or creating jobs" thing, I guess.
I want to be appointed the Babes in Bikinis Czar.
Wouldn't it be interesting if Obama, in an effort to reach a true bi-partisan approach to cutting health care costs, appointed Governor Palin to head a bi-partisan panel to make recommendations on how to do. Only then would legilation be considered.

Czarist Russia was a upgrade over this…
These so-called 'czars' are an extra-constitutional creation meant to further erode whatever remaining protections the framers gave us.
Make no mistake about this- there is a concerted effort to change our system of governance from a Constitutional Republic with limited suffrage to a quasi-socialist/fascist oligarchy.
And then, czars make sense…
ah, correct usage of the "couric", thank you!
and this time no Blue Moon…
As Frank Booth ('Blue Velvet') would say: 'F#@*% that S#*%… Pabst Blue Ribbon!…'
In the prequel, will we meet Czar Czar Binks?
He's lucky there isn't a Praetorian Guard…they'd be taking a gladius to his gluteus…
Actually Palin would be a Czar-Czarina.
make mine a Sam Adams…
Thanks. I do try to be accurate.
how'd Howard Dean get into this?
all the way to the maximus!
I like your style and comments……I guess when the power and rights to free speech go away we'll have to use the 2nd adm. to set the country back to being a constitutional REPUBLIC. Our President and current legislators are walking a fine line and taking this nation down a dangerous path.
When the Republicans gain control again, It would behoove them to remove the Czar clause from the Constitution, oh! Wait…
can ya picture it now? all the little czars with moose shaped targets on em? ah one can dream…
Wow….. I never knew I lived in the USSR…..lol…..Czar's whatever, I guess the american public can get a faberge egg when they finally get a yearly check up…
Thanks so much for the chuckle today! With the depressing state of things recently, a little jocularity, is needed and appreciated! Just a bit of escapism. btw – several czars are devout communists, but why state the obvious when you have a title of 'czar'.
"Sen. Charles Grassley is worried that Obama administration’s new federal communications "diversity" director may try to regulate talk radio with a "backdoor" method akin to the Fairness Doctrine."
here they come again……while you're stamping out one liberal fire they start another one in the backyard…
Would that relegate Obama to *court jester*?
that's exactly correct..see below.
"Sen. Charles Grassley is worried that Obama administration’s new federal communications "diversity" director may try to regulate talk radio with a "backdoor" method akin to the Fairness Doctrine."
Jamesb – heh, heh, how true, how true. Still, if our media would push the idea hard enough, it would force him to once again show that he doesn't give a rat's ass about bi-partisanship. He is more interested in control, and getting a political feather in his cap than actually cutting health care costs.
I think he already is
My thoughts exactly!
The czars serve two essential purposes. The first is to short-circuit the democratic process and remove large policy areas from the control of the people or their representatives. The second is to control and manipulate the traditional bureaucracy by essentially going around them with the czars. For example, with all the foreign policy czars, Hillary Clinton actually has very little power as Secretary of State.
It is not even about the Democratic Party. It is all about Mr. Obama and centering all power into his hands.
Uh oh…someone mentioned Palin, "she who will not be named"…now Debbie Schlussel and the rest of the anti-Palin brigade will turn out in large numbers to call her an idiot and flame the rest of us for supporting her. It's like stepping on a fire ant hill.
I think I've found where Palin is best used for the GOP and country. It goes without saying, Palin is polarizing. Hell, even I squirm from time to time when she is speaking, and I support her. But we can use her ability to garner attention on command.
Palin, no matter what she says, gets more media attention than anyone, except Obama-messiah. Palin was best used recently when she coined the phrase "death panel". It was a brilliant phrase actually, and Palin seemingly only appeared for a moment to deliver that phrase, and promptly dropped out of sight, leaving the media to amplify her message, her brilliant phrase, leading to incredible attention to the end of life measures in the little read Obama-care bill.
Palin swooped in, dropped a memorable line and promptly left the scene not before planting a phrase that the media gave an incredible spotlight to. If Palin can be used like this again, I don't see how on earth the liberals will be able to control the message. Palin has a gift that few conservatives have ever had, an ability to get her message out there and receive the full attention of the media.
So long as she is very selective in making an appearance, she will continue to get massive media attention and allow conservatives to get their message out there forcing the country to debate us instead of talk over us ignoring us. Let's just hope Palin keeps it real.
Russia only had one Czar at a time.
I guess Obama's just trying to be fair. After all, it's not fair that some people get to be Czars while others don't. Only when everyone is a Czar in their own right will things be equitable in the horribly unfair nation. I blame all old, rich, white guys.
They should create those little Russian dolls that fit inside one another of all the czars. Then we'd know the hierarchy.
It's a good dream.
(Yet further proof that people against Obamacare want to kill things…that's CNN's interpretation of this string)
Onne would think that the Democrats would come up with a better title than "Czar."
What I'd like to know, is for those czars, who are getting paid, but no-one's telling what it is…who's paying their salaries?? His faith-based czar, Joshua Dubois, who by the way is 26, making $98,000 a year. With all his life experience, I'm sure he's more than qualified…you know like the kid that ran the "auto" company for that "MINUTE"!!! Woo until you, that refuse to hear the people..especially at election time!
I used to pitch in my lunch money and buy PBR for $2.30 a 12 pack…that was a 70's *school lunch program*!
I'll keep it simple –
I love Sarah Palin.
I'm disappointed there's no real Alpha male in the Republican or Conservative arenas.
I'd like to see Palin, Bachman, Malkin, Coulter, et al. come forward and make your pitch for leading this brave new world.
for planefare and cheap motel room you can get Howard "the Duck" Dean TO GO ANYWHERE
He's sooo 2008…"Where's the T.V. camera? AUGHHHHHHHRRRRR!"
Hear, hear.
I guess we have enough Czars that we no longer have a need for Cabinet Meetings. Oh wait they no longer do have Cabinet Meetings why don't we just eliminate them?
Wea ll know what happened to the last Czar of Russia

They must be STOPPED! No compromise, no reconciliation, no negotiating, no caveing in…

As Jena will attest when he visits his agent, there are interns who make nothing, and boss's friends' kids who make $98,000 for pouring coffee. Czars are a good way to get a campaign contributor (or their offspring) a desk, a salary and an assistant.
"Heads of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and/or Associate Presidents of the Soviet Union" was already taken
although I think that *proletariat* (from Latin proles, "offspring") is a term used to identify a lower social
class is definately in Obama's venacular…

"Well, [BLEEP]in' DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Turnabout's fair play, sir.
LMAO!!
A point of clarity. It got a chastisment from a russian who taught me the fine points of the Imperial Russian Czar vs the Soviet system. By those definitions, what we are calling Czars were actually Commissars under the Soviet system. We really need to get our terminology together so we're all ready for the coming politburo.
"The White House never thought it would get more than a small handful of Republican votes anyway. But this is damage control as political strategy — a signal liberals have been waiting for, and a way to unite the Democrats who do, after all, control the levers of power." –RICK KLEIN

AND DON'T YOU PEOPLE FORGET IT! WE WON, WHAAAAA, WE WON, YOU'RE NOT CAVING IN! WHAAAAA

I want to be a Czar !
But remember, you'll hear from liberals that she doesn't mean anything.
Someone said it the other day on Weekly Standard. This isn't the time to be a moderate. This farce will throw our country's economy in the tank for years.
He may be a Marxist, and he may still be beholden to Islam, but first and foremost he will always be a pathological narcissist.

Great. We just got done with 8 years of the imperial presidency. Now the dems, rather than attempt to do something in the "midddle" have decided to lurch the whole country to the hard left. Dumb dumb dumb.
From too much unchecked money grabbing to too much unchecked power grabbing. It's just pathetic.
Uh oh! I get it.
I find it all BizCzar myself. Or more accurately, BizCzarro (Superman reference). Me am Czar for Obama!
As many much wiser (not Budweiser) than I have said, this healthcare takeover scheme is THE cornerstone to socialist DemocratSS exerting control for GENERATIONS…
It's merely a modern version of "Bread and Circuses"….keep the proletariate amused and docile,
next we'll have a 'gun collection' sweep…in a few decades complete control…
it's incremental…this is a baby step, a complete takeover is THE grand plan…
NO CAPITULATION! NEVER! FIGHT THE POWER THAT IS THIS OBAMA ADMINISTRATION!
And that is the plan. Unfortunately, you've forgot about the "Civilian Force" that BO wants to be just as armed and well funded as the military. Their role will be to go around and disarm us ala pre-wwII Germany when the Brown Shirts disarmed the Jews.
liquid bread indeed
cool, just got him a bus ticket to europe. Hope he knows how to swim.
IntenseDebate Notification <DIV dir=ltr align=left>\”Civilian Force\” that's a new one on me……..I would like to here more about BO's private army…….??</DIV>

If she decides that she does not want to be part of the ticket in 2012, I would recommend that she be appointed Czarina over the FCC! I would love to see Couric's face at that announcement. You can run – but – YOU CAN'T HIDE!! It would serve every last one of them right if they had to spend 4 years with a giant bullseye pointed at their networks, especially NBC, and the View gals! Well, one can dream, right?
being a chucklehead does have it's advantages. hmm I wonder if I can apply for Chucklehead Czar…
to Czar or not to Czar…
I know, was just joking around…
and a good thing…
and I've got a few things CNN can interpret right here…
I thought that was Biden…

If this doesn't work search for Obama Civilian Army.
Maybe this should be Palins 1st campaign promise – I WILL FIRE THEN DAMNED CZARS!
Ouch! That's going to leave a Czar…
Yes, the new "Communications Czar" (or head of the FCC– whatever he calls himself) is looking at taxing conservative or Christian radio stations a dollar amount equivalent to their annual operating costs. (Ergo, stations that air Rush Limbaugh and pay him a gazillion dollars, would be taxed the amount of Rush's salary + all other operating costs– obviously well into tens of millions of dollars.) Those taxes would then be paid to competitors of those radio stations– such as NPR. Ludicrous, but true.
Palin… our Ninja in lipstick…
Well I don't claim to know what is going on with Gov. Palin, but I would go shoot a moose with her or fishing for that matter any day of the week. And while some may dislike the Lady for some odd reason. Just remember this one little bit of truth, if it was not for Sarah, the Bleeding would have been a whole lot worse that it was. And that is a fact more people voted for the GOP because she was on the ticket than well if it was some one else. John Mc Cain well, the nation said no to him, or he blew off to many like myself that would have given it to him, but he spit in our eye every chance he got, the only good thing he did was choosing Sarah as a running mate. The he and is bunch shafted her every chance they got. Well what go's around comes around.
so that's how they all got up BO's a$$
Here comes the hypocracy…what, mad because you lying dog Democrats were denied your new fleet of Gulfstream Luxo-jets?
"House Democrats are probing the nation’s largest insurance companies for lavish spending, demanding reams of compensation data and schedules of retreats and conferences."
"Letters sent to 52 insurance companies by Democratic leaders demand extensive documents for an examination of ‘extensive compensation and other business practices in the health insurance industry.” The letters set a deadline of Sept. 14 for the documents." —–politico.com
She is an awesome woman.
Read the story of Deborah in the Bible (book of Judges, Old Testament) if you want a historical rendition of what happens when men won't step up to the plate. (Story includes some cool battle scenes too.)

So true. With socialized medicine, the Second Amendment must be eradicated. Guns drive up healthcare costs!! (or some such nonsense.)
we remember those times fondly as well- there was Old Milwaukee, dubious in quality butavailable for .99 cents… after the headache and piles went away you had a decent beer buzz…
with a little *essence de herbal life* if we were really lucky, alas, no mas!
taken…
But as far as everyone else is concerned: Don't vacation in Vegas!! No fancy corporate business trips!!! No golfing!!! Don't you know we must sacrifice in order to contribute to the collective good??
(my sarcastic moment for today)
there are a lot of very angry folk out there- and they intend to do something about this- However, bad people have taken control, they know they're unpopular and don't care. And they have no intention of relinquishing power, either. Democracy be damned, irrespective of 2010. That's why the gun grab now…
Bwarney is easily one of the top three most disgusting people in our government…he sits (with some difficulty some times) in that safe house seat shaping laws for an entire country…add in Nadler and Waxman, that sham from "Florida", Wexler who barely actually lives in Florida…Doggett from Austin ( worth 5-plus million $$$$, I know his niece, he called my house in Austin once) there are several more contenders…
we'll trump your Sam Adams with a Pilsner Urquell and raise you a Fat Tire… kidding aside the first time we bought beer 'by the yard' was a Samuel Adams in Georgetown with a bunch of Marines in '86. Imagine, a yard of beer… Homer Simpson would be drooling by now…
"We just got done with 8 years of the imperial presidency…" not exactly…this power grab is way more invasive…U.S. troops invaded an enemy (with ample DemocratSS in support), DemocratSS are now trying to invade our hospitals and doctors offices…first. Then it's our business and private lives.
"We just got done with 8 years of the imperial presidency…" not exactly…this power grab is way more invasive…U.S. troops invaded an enemy (with ample DemocratSS in support), DemocratSS are now trying to invade our hospitals and doctors offices…first, you are totally correct on that point. Then it's our business and private lives.
Warning: excessive use of BO can leave permanent Czaring…
He may be too radical even for Europe, I'm thinking North Korea as a *consultant* and Kim's personal doctor.
I'm moving to "Crazsdale"
that little spice o life
mmm cheap drunk.. brings prom to mind…
wow, along with your babes in bikini Czar position, they must keep you real busy
cant we save Kevorkian for that last one?
indeed, love tham yard beers!
Palin, Coulter & Malkin Now THERE'S a trio that should organize as one and kick some royal butt from "sea to shining sea". And you think the gals on the View are powerful?
Do the czars get to wear those nifty golden crowns, too?
they must really hate that so many people carry I-phones and all sorts of recording devices with them.
will they all be driving there in electric hybrid czars?
Pointing out the death panel thing _was_ clever. What I find particularly ironic is that the NHS death panel is called the "NICE" committee. Makes you feel better when you are denied treatment, yes?
