i remember reading Time, and Newsweek in the late '70's… we are all suppose too be frozen dead because of the 'coming ice age'', they were wrong then, they are wrong now. but they will never admit it…

It was from a skit Rush did years ago. He was "Algore" instead of Igor of Frankenstein fame. I think Clinton was Frankenstein in the skit, but I don't remember — I just remember the main character kept calling to "Algore".

Actually, those in the know have decided that it may be more accurately described as "Global Climate Change". That way, no matter which way the temperatures go, they can still stick it to you with cap-n-trade.

Read State of Fear. There's one passage that's very relevant here:

"You have already told me global warming is unsatisfactory because whenever there is a cold snap, people forget about it."

"So what you need," Henley said, "is to structure the information so that whatever kind of weather occurs, it always confirms your message. That's the virtue of shifting the focus to abrupt climate change."

Al Gore could do the most good if he went to S. America and Africa to encourage them to stop cutting the rainforests–or to China to convince them to clean up all the coal fired plants so the smoke no longer swings across the Pacific dumping extra rain and snow on the northwest, Canada and Alaska. Or maybe a he should "invent" a way to send it over California to alleviate the drought. Yeah right. He is only intersted in the photo-ops and the money pouring into his pockets from the global-warming scam.

Gore is eating himself to death, so soon he will be a climate martyr. Somehow they will blame it on Conservatives and GW.

As for me, I used to live in New England, now in San Diego. I prefer SD.

Here is a simple test. Go to Canada and don;t take your woolies. Stop watch how fast you die from exposure.

Nuff said.
