So Tell Us, Mainstream Media, Who Got Henrietta Her House?
by Jeffrey JenaIf you took all of the integrity of all of the journalists in the mainstream media and rolled it into a ball it wouldn’t fill a gnat’s navel. Here is just the latest example of their misleading “journalism.”
On February 10th, Henrietta Hughes went to a townhall meeting and asked President Obama for some help since she and her son were homeless. How a homeless woman got to the mic to panhandle (“Brother, can you spare a house?”) to the President is another subject. Maybe I’m just overly cynical, but she had to have been vetted. This was not just some spontaneous event, the handlers and the President knew what was coming.
Mr. Obama gave her a hug and the phone number to some government bureaucrat’s office.
What a great guy! He cares!
The next day the media was full of reports that Ms. Hughes and her son had a house. Another miracle by Saint Barack! See, it’s working! Now if you greedy, nasty conservatives would just get on board, the singing of “We Are the World” could begin!
But wait, it wasn’t Saint Barack or even the Blessed Michelle who got the house for Ms. Hughes. It wasn’t the government bureaucrat or stimulus package that found the house for these poor folks, either. No, my friends, it was a nice lady named Chene Thompson, and who is Chene Thompson? Is she a “progressive” who cares about her fellow Americans? Is she a Hollywood celebrity? Is she even a Democrat?
No. Mrs. Thompson is the wife of a Republican State Representative.
What, that’s not possible! Right Wing Nut Jobs are not kind. Only the government can provide for us.
Was the word “Republican” even mentioned during the CNN story? Not once. In fact, the piece was edited to give the impression that Mrs. Thompson’s gift was the direct work of Mr. Obama. And now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t think CNN even mentioned the word “Republican” during the next story about Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.

Are you really that surprised? How many times did the MSM mention that Rod Blagojevich was a Democrat? I bet if there was a John Ziegler-like survey of voters that they would tell you that Lincoln was a Democrat as well. Must be, right? I mean, Obama is the second coming of Lincoln. There is now some question about Henrietta Hughes and her son being "homeless" before all this started. They were offered job training and living for free for months, but they refused. It's great that compassion for them came from Mrs. Thompson regardless of her politics. I applaud the effort that Mrs. Thompson made. Government didn't aid the poor, good-natured people did. Hopefully Henrietta will become part of the working America now.

Anderson Cooper's mother is Gloria Vanderbilt and his brother committed suicide. Anderson is only about five feet five inches tall. He has so many issues of his own that once he learns a sound bite he has to keep singing it over and over. He just tries really hard to get everyone around him to join in and keep him a happy little man by singing his tune. He gets frustrated when they won't play along and agree with all his views. It has been proven and as a sample look at the charitable donations of the candidates in the presidential election. Well .. Reading all the negative comments above kinda made me a bit sick. So, what did this Liberal do? I went to one of the "find and attorney" sites in FL and came up with a way to offer a contribution to Mrs. Thompson to help defray some of the costs associated with her generosity … no, as a laid off electrical engineer, I could not offer much but have agreed to send $25/mo for several months if the Thompson's will accept. Rather than all the vile expressed by so many, perhaps some of you may want to do the same.
The actually US debt is now over $60 Trillion dollars. Sure, I think the government should buy house for all who cannot afford them. How about a car and boat while we are at it. Free food anyone?
