Beck Derangement Syndrome
by James HudnallNow that Bush is out of office and Palin has become a Tweeter, the left has been searching for other straw men to hang in effigy. Lately, Fox News’ Glenn Beck is filling the bill. He has been ever since he switched to Fox in January and became a major player there.
On Wednesday he attracted three million viewers with guests like Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove.
In fact, the more the left hates Beck, the more popular he becomes.
A race-based pressure group called “ColorOfChange” has been running a boycott against Beck for the last few weeks because he said he thinks President Obama may be racist against white people. And, because he dared to express an opinion they don’t agree with, ColorOfChange has been trying to get every advertiser on the show to pull their ads. Apparently they don’t believe in free speech or opinions that run contrary to their agenda.
But Beck’s ratings are soaring ever since the boycott started. And it hasn’t really affected Fox’s revenues as the advertisers who pulled their ads just moved them to other shows. The problem with boycotts is they end up promoting the thing they try to destroy. Movies that probably would have failed before they were “banned in Boston” often make a profit. TV shows that get boycotted often go on to become hits — people want to see what the fuss is about. And if the show is entertaining, they attract steady viewers.
The irony here is that a “race based pressure group” is attacking someone who said he is against what he suspects is racism in Obama’s agenda. In other words, a race based group is attacking someone speaking out against racism. Who’s the racist here?
The left accuses anyone who critiques Obama of being a racist, regardless of their actual motives or the content of their argument. But if someone does that against Obama, well, they must be banned!
The public sees through this farce.
What’s even more hilarious is Beck is a rabid non-partisan who complains about Republicans as much as he bashes Democrats. The focus of his shows is to stop the rampant Statism we’re seeing and the partisan politics of radicals. He wants to see American return to a common sense kind of middle ground where most people can agree to disagree. Beck, like many Americans, is disturbed by the radicalization of the public discourse and the fact that the mainstream press has become nothing more than a mouthpiece for an increasingly totalitarian state.
For daring to say he wants politicians to listen to the voters, for the insolence of questioning the motives of those in power (a very liberal thing to do), for exposing the mendacity and chicanery of the ruling class, the minions of the powers that be, the mindless bloggers and YouTube trolls are going ballistic trying to make him out to be a crazed fool.
Beck helps them out by occasionally launching into self-flagellating monologues like this which they turn around and post on video sites to mock him with, but this kind of unpretentious mea culpa doesn’t hurt him with those who have any empathy. The haters only reveal their own lack of humanity when they go off the rails attacking him.
Glenn Beck has what I call a “Bugs Bunny” strategy, where he acts wacky on occasion which draws his critics into a tar baby/rope-a-dope trap that ends up exhausting them.
All those people rubbing their hands together expecting him to crash and burn any day now are going to be very disappointed.

It seems being against racism is racist.
I think I'm gonna have to start watching this guy's show.
I started watching him shortly after he started on CNN and have been watching him ever since. My parents now fans of his after I told them a few times to watch him.
Beck has TOTALLY OUTED the commies that relax in the Oval Office, smoke Kools and spit on our Constitution…gee America, you mean Obama really is the committed RADICAL everybody with a clue THOUGHT HE WAS? Wow, I'm shocked!
Let's get to work; we must legally, Constitutionally and procedurally NEUTER this Kenyan Commie NOW!
Obama know's this, the Second Amendment will be attacked next…an unarmed proletariate is a docile cooperative sheep…
Glenn Beck has been giving Washington hell for years, left and right. Now he’s messing with the liberal savior, …Barry. This must not be tolerated, Barry is the myrmidon king, the herder of parasites, the One. Keep giving them hell Glenn, and America, it’s working, you know it’s working because, “they doth protest to much.”
In rebuttal, Beck did an expose (expose-ay, I don't have accents on my keyboard) on the guy behind Color of Change. One of many shady people backing/associating with Obama.
Prime example of backfire. Much like the Whole Foods boycott. Stupid hippies.
Glenn has certainly become a major lightening rod, like Sarah and Rush, and akin to them, hIs face draws trolls like flies to fresh horsedung. We need these guys more than ever, as he takes what is becoming of this country seriously. He is not afraid to air the insanity. He'd better watch his back!
Yes, sometimes he gets a little "wacky", I like it.
Sometimes, I get a little "wacky" in addressing serious subjects.
If one can't laugh at themselves, or permit others to laugh at you on occasion,…then you take yourself far, far too seriously and nothing you say later will be considered meaningful in the end.
Stick with the truth, and never, never back down.
Who cares what these libtards call you if you’re nice or “respectful” to them.
They will always hate your guts anyway.
Laugh in their faces and go play with your kids people.
That free advice will cost each of you 1 buck. (2 bucks if you’re a lefty troll).
No checks…cash only. (And NO pesos.)
Not Over.
As a Cold Warrior, I still have my old "KILL A COMMIE FOR MOMMY" bumper sticker…
Does this make me a potential threat to the Administration?????
I F**KING HATE ILLINOIS COMMIES!
(With sort-of apologies to John Belushi)
I HATE ILLINOIS COMMIES!
(With sort-of apologies to John Belushi)
I HATE ILLINOIS COMMIES!
(With sort-of apologies to John Belushi, aka Joliet Jake Blues)
Why yes komrad.
You will now report to your nearest Obot for "schooling".
GO NOW!
Not Over.
Funny you should say that.
I watched all of his specials this week with my 12 year old son.
At the end of his first show on Monday, I turned to my boy and said, “Son, you're looking at one of the bravest men I have ever seen…but I think he’s just a “dead man walking” if he pi$$es off the wrong people in power.”
Beck has a CCW, (permit to conceal carry), and said a couple of weeks ago that he had his iron packed with him at the movies.
The libtard blogs went NUTS over that.
Heh…I think he has a fighting chance now.
Not Over.
Your paranoia is scary because it may be true.
I don´t like Beck´s style; it looks contrived to me. Frankly, I find him unwatchable and a bit of a rabblerouser. Even so, he has done a good job in demonstrating the thuggish tendency of the left. And he is usually not wrong. Hyperbolic, sure, but don´t forget: hyperbole is an ancient rhetorical flourish much employed by liberals, for example, a recently deceased beloved Senator from Massachusetts.

I'll send you my one dollar in good American currency. I just need your bank account information so I can direct deposit.
He has some awesome books as well…"An Inconvenient Book" is a great one to start out with because he goes over a TON of topics in a fun pop-culture format. Loved it!

Hell, I know I'm paranoid but, am I paranoid enough?
I'm not that worried about them killing Beck … I'm more concerned they're going to kill Barry and blame it on Beck (and the rest of us).
I enjoy Glenn Beck (a lot in fact) but he is like our "Paul Revere" and frankly I become paranoid if I hang around with him too long. "The Commies are coming, the Commies are coming!"
El Gordo, I agree that Beck's style is annoying at times. I don't watch him much though I am sure I agree with 99% of what he says.
One more blog that has Beck Derangement Syndrome is Little Green Footballs. I have a membership there, but stopped reading because they would use all the moonbat tricks like pick a single line and then read into it stuff that wasn't there, or they would just say "Beck said such and such" but they wouldn't show the actual quote, and you had a bunch of the LGF lizards chiming in that Beck is a nut for saying such a thing.
LGF also became boring with its incessant attacks against scientific creationism. It was fine the first couple times, but they beat that dead horse until it was dusty bones.
LGF jumped the shark for me, however, when they went all out to support the theory of man-made climate change.
I caught him on occasion while he was on CNN, but he was against another show I watched on Fox, so I'm glad he moved to Fox so I can watch more often. Although it does come on at 11pm pacific, so I usually watch a segment or two before heading for bed.
And for just a bit of clarification: for those who saw the show with him in "lederhosen", or a clip from the net or on O'Reilly, the outfit looked more like it was made of cloth rather than leather, hence lederhosen was the incorrect term for his outfit. Yeah … hence!
Speaking of boycotts, I myself boycott Citgo.
And another thing … conservative and the Republican electorate hold the Republicans account for their actions or inactions more than the left and Dems do for their elected officials. This, I believe, is because the left has no standards.
I agree with you. Glen Beck has on occassion made some great points, his money supply charte, calling some Commies Commies, etc. He is clearly a smart guy capable of talking logically. But he clearly is self-promoting with the whack-act.
I miss William F. Buckley.

hello
I never listened to Rush Limbaugh until the lefties started telling me what a monster he was. Then I had to wonder what else they were lying about. Who else's opinions were they afraid of me hearing? The answers were Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, etc. I've never watched Glenn Beck but if the left is so intent on silencing him, then he must be doing something right.
I smell a rick roll.
Correction. Stupid *filthy* hippies.
The "boycott" of Beck reminds me of being manipulated by my high school German teacher. He told us all about "the FORBIDDEN book" all the while writing "Voltaire Candide" on the board, then very lightly erasing it. Of course, we all wrote the title down, went to the library and checked it out. Loved the book. Seems like many people are intrigued over the fuss about Beck, check out his show, and then enjoy it.
I'm amazed at how many people on this side of the blogging fence bash Beck. It's not like we have a lot of friends out there, and his eccentric personality is not really a negative in the entertainment business.
Beck is sincere, he is a strict Constitutionalist, he smashes away at R and D alike, and he digs up more facts and data than the top 5 conservative blogs combined. Just his work uncovering the staggering size and power of the Tides-SEIU-Acorn axis is worthy of a Pulitzer, and sure as hell no one else is doing it. Watch his coverage of Apollo and tremble with fear.
While those of us on the right were taking engineering in university and then going out and getting real jobs, an entire generation of liberal true believers have gone straight into government and "community service" and the deck is stacked against us so badly I seriously wonder if it is even possible to win any more. Obama wants to increase his footsoldiers, Americorps, to the size of the military. Americorps pays people to work for them despite being called "volunteer," they are at least 90% liberal, they are just under 50% minorities (no agenda there!) and now Obama wants to pay their student loans if they stay in government for 10 years!
Gee, what sort of perverse incentive will that create in the universities?
Anyway, we'd better get as much as we can out of Beck because we got nothin' else on TV. Hell, NBC and ABC are openly banning ads critical of ObamaCare.
I was a CNN Glenn Beck watcher too and was so happy when he went to Fox. No reason to watch CNN since. He's particularly unleashed since going to Fox and obviously his audience loves it. He's bringin' the common sense with humor and unabashed love of the Constitution and our great USA. Love Glen Beck!!!
I can't stand Beck. He is the kind of guy who will say anything for attention, so how do you put credence in anything he does say? Whether it's his delusional YouTube rant after minor surgery, his conspiracy theories, or his contrived emotional outbursts, the guy comes off as a hack and the opposite of what Conservatism is supposed to be (i.e. calm, rational, and intellectual). I used to listen to his radio show, and he made the Heaven's Gate group (the Halebop Comet folks) sound grounded.
The Left doesn't want to shut him down. He's their perfect boogeyman to demonstrate how detached from reality the Right is. They couldn't love him more.
My attitude is: he´s a whack-act, but he is OUR whack-act. I wish him well, but I just can´t watch him. And if I´m hungry for some red meat I listen to Mark Levin.
We needed another Buckley for many years. To be honest I found his recent columns increasingly impenetrable. But one feels the loss.
Mind explaining (in detail without the name calling) why you can;t put any credence in his statements? Just wondering what he's said that is incorrect?

I'm a long time Beck fan. I was glad when he moved to FOX because he was way too tempered on CNN and when he would go off, he didn't go far enough. Since he's been on FOX, he has been awesome. If people that have never watched him are watching him this week, they will keep tuning in. He is on a mission to preserve our constitution. I do worry about his safety because of the very radical people that he is outing. Communists will do ANYTHING to further their cause, and this one has been a long time coming. I'll keep praying for him every night because we need someone who will tell us facts, even those we really wish we didn't have to know.
Excuse me? Stupid? Filthy? Hippies? That's all redundant. You simply say Hippies and people automatically realize you mean filthy, and stupid.
Well, on his radio show (which was canceled here in Chicago over a year ago) that we were "days" away from a terrorist attack with Al Quaeda members taking a number of school buses, then raping and murdering the children as happened in Beslan. He espoused dozens of such theories, and always credited unnamed FBI sources that he was "close to" which was slipping him information. When one didn't pan out, he'd just move on to the next.
And for the sake of curiosity, have you seen his YouTube clip where he talked about his imminent death?
Obviously you don't watch. If you did, all you would have to do is check the facts. They are all there for you to see. When he talks about someone, you can google that person up and see what he is saying is nothing more then what that person said himself/herself. Consercatism used to be calm, rational and intellectual; all that got us was commies in the WhiteHouse. The left tore the right apart with lies and smears knowing the right wouldn't do anything. So, we quit bringing a fork to a knife fight. We're bringing our guns now. I'm sure the left doesn't like to have these truths out in the open. Maybe you should check out his ratings. Tell me, how are your liberal freak shows doing? You know, the ones that LIE and it's easy to figure out.
Well, on his radio show (which was canceled here in Chicago over a year ago, so that will give you some idea that none of his claims actually came true) that we were "days" away from a terrorist attack with Al Quaeda members taking a number of school buses, then raping and murdering the children as happened in Beslan. He espoused dozens of such theories, and always credited unnamed FBI sources that he was "close to" which was slipping him information. When one didn't pan out, he'd just move on to the next.
And for the sake of curiosity, have you seen his YouTube clip where he talked about his imminent death?
That's the Template for you. What they would say is, "Denying that you're a racist is CODE that you're really a racist."
Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism" should be required reading on college campi.
Normally I would agree. Buckley was in a class by himself. But I think Buckley is too cerebral for most people to understand. Beck hits people with the facts in a way they can understand.
I don´t like Beck either, but let´s be honest: The left will always find a bogeyman and if necessary make something up. Bush and Cheney behaved like true gentleman compared with the current crew, but still ….
I´m also not quite on board with the idea that "conservatism is supposed to be … calm, rational, and intellectual". Ideally, maybe, but conservatives also shouldn´t engage in wishful thinking. For most people, it´s a matter of temperament and experience, not an ideological construct. I love all the conservative intellectuals out there but they are not responsible for Obama´s current well-deserved woes.
So where might I find an actual record of the "we were "days" away from a terrorist attack with Al Quaeda members taking a number of school buses, then raping and murdering the children as happened in Beslan." claim you are making? Just asking!
The progressives are scared. What will they do, I wonder?
He talked about it every day for a month on his radio show last year. If you were a regular listener, you'd know that it was common knowledge. I'm sure you can Google it.
James, great analysis. Personally, I find Glenn Beck both informative and highly entertaining, especially with his PowerPoint and whiteboard lessons. He's like the crazy ranting uncle who says some on-point things that make you question your own sanity. Love him.
As to the Banned in Boston effect, I think everybody's profiting but Color of Change. Lots of red meat for both FOX and HuffPo adherents. In fact, two pieces I wrote on this same subject this past week were the best-performing ever at Digital Journal. One's a DJ TopFind this week. Even made me some change, LOL! God Bless America, capitalism and Glenn Beck
Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh……fearless purveyors of the truth.
I don´t like Beck either, but let´s be honest: The left will always find a bogeyman and if necessary make something up.
There's no question about that. However, Beck does give them a convenient target. He's the Jerry Springer of Conservative thought, and personally I don't think Conservatives need that (I'll be honest and say that while I lean Conservative, I'm not a hardcore Conservative). I'll take Krauthammer, Steyn and Goldberg instead. The Left has already proven that behaving like an idiot so you can win at any cost will only get you so far. You have to actually have a philosophy and a plan. That's my problem with Bush. He just seemed to operate day to day. Never defending Conservatives, never pushing a real agenda, never taking advantage of the opportunity to introduce meaningful changes to our energy, health, or other policies that he should have. Now Obama is using his opportunity to push the country to the Left. We'll have to live with the results until another Conservative has the chance to do what Bush should have done.
So, we quit bringing a fork to a knife fight.
I know these kinds of statements make people feel good, but they're just silly. If you think that Krauthammer, Steyn, Goldberg, or Sowell are the equivalent of a fork to a knife fight, then you really need to revisit what you believe in. Liberals won because Republicans held the White House for 8 years and Congress for most of that time, yet failed to make any major accomplishments other than the war (which was not very popular by the end). Republicans didn't lose because they were too nice or too intellectual, they lost because the failed miserably (care to discuss immigration, oil drilling or health care and what the Republicans did to address them?).
Send the "progressives" to Texas ; then, you won't have to think of them again!
Great essay, James. Yeah, Beck has his goofy moments, but I don't question his passion or sincerity. Here's what baffles me: Why hasn't his critics called him on any of the findings he presented on his show this week? If he's so full of it, why doesn't anyone refute his data? What I hear from Beck's detractors is either personal or peripheral, or both. Beck's spelling skills leaves a lot to be desired, but I think he just might be on to something.
I have my tivo set to record his show everyday and the repeat late at night, just so when the numbers come in since they track what shows are recorded now. Even if I don't watch that days show I feel I am letting "The Man" know that I am a viewer. That said, I can only hang with his radio show a couple weeks on then a week off, sometimes it's too much of a downer, but heck, Beck literally tells people to do that. He realizes that too much of it can start to be depressing. I also wish he wouldn't cry so much it makes me feel bad too dangit!!
Keep up the good work none the less Mr. Beck, we need you.
"If the Marxist Mad Hatters of the Left hate him. That means they also fear him. He's Ace's with me."
"if the left is so intent on silencing him, then he must be doing something right."
Exactly!!
I love his style, I love his sarcasm smartalleckiness and I love that he does not fear telling the truth. I love how he makes the attack animals look like fools. Where are the answers to his questions??
The more Color of Crap attacks him, the better he looks, the more successful he is and the more Jones is exposed.
Thank you Glenn Beck for shining the light on the Truth. It will be the Truth that sets us free… if we can just hang in there and be as bold and strong for our country as the example he (Glenn) has set for us.
Gee, I seem to recall the left saying Reagan was going to put people in FEMA camps and make sure he could run forever so he would be president for life,. An then they said the same and worse about W Bush. In fact, the crazy Bush theories blow away any thing you have claimed Beck said. Chem Trails anyone?
Beck does take it farther than I would sometimes. But all he is doing is questioning the motives, which is something ANY journalist should do about those in power. I respect the guy because he doesn't play favorites like some.
Frankly, Keith Olbermann and co have said a lot crazier stuff.
I had the same thought after watching Beck's series. There certainly seems to be a big set-up in play that if/when something happens to Obama, it'll be some right-wing nutjob that's responsible.
Frankly, Keith Olbermann and co have said a lot crazier stuff.
Oh sure, invoke the name of the anti-Christ.
I'll grant you that their crazies are way crazier than ours, Glen's just not my cup of tea. Kind of reminds me of a used car salesman (or televangelist). That doesn't necessarily make him wrong or dishonest, but it does make me listen with cautious skepticism. The thing is, he could be just as good an opinion guy without the shtick. To each their own I guess.
They're already in Austin.
Here is that awesome clip that Beck showed at the end of his show today: http://me.jeremybuff.com/blog/the-912-project/
He's definitely an alarmist– but then, when I watch him, I wonder, am I not alarmed enough?
That's a great inspirational clip!
Thanks for your objectivity.
If you're getting flak you're over the target!
"There certainly seems to be a big set-up in play that if/when something happens to Obama, it'll be some right-wing nutjob that's responsible."
Yeah, most nut-jobs are right-wing until proven otherwise. Unless it's undeniable that they're lefties, as with the SLA, Black Panthers, or ELF. Take, for instance, the carefully edited footage of a gun-toting loony at a recent townhall event over which an MSNBC anchor/reporter commented on white racism. Turned out to be a black guy, but no bother. Heck, they're still talking about the poisonous atmosphere of hatred surrounding president Kennedy's trip to the dark territory of racist Dallas, even though everyone knows he was killed by a communist.
3 million viewers… isn't that like HALF of any one of the major networks' news hours ratings on broadcast tv, and 2/3rds of CBS?
Beck's style is different. Imagine a non-partisan Limbaugh with ADD and you can understand it better. I've always found it entertaining ever since I first starting listening to him on the radio post-2004 election.
Beck gets bashed because he's not a Republican partisan and might be even more rabid about bashing RINOs than Rush. Also, Beck is less of an institution in pop culture, so he doesn't have that insulation. It's very easy to listen to what he says and think he's over the edge.
I'm betting that one psycho is going to do something horrible, and his defense at the trial will be "I was brainwashed by Glenn Beck." Gotta admit, nothing better to prove an insanity plea
No just an pathetic jingoist mouthbreather
> "The left accuses anyone who critiques Obama of being a racist, regardless of their actual motives or the content of their argument"
Yeah – since when is "Racist" the opposite of "Marxist"?
I'm a Beck Insider the first day he had his Insider Board. I've been listening since he went national (yes, I know, Florida fans – you can rag on me later).
I frikkin' heart Glenn Beck!
I found Beck's show in 2004 and have listened everyday I can. I am glad he is on Fox, and we need him to bring forth all info on these so called Progressives. There is another web site that some of you might like, they have a lot of news you don't see everywhere. http://www.gatewaypundit.blogspot.com
I have found that these far lefties, won't debate, won't discuss but just yell disparaging names at those with opposing views. They are the most rude, crude people I have ever seen, and now we have them in Washington!
After several years of fighting illegal immigration, I have been called racist so many time, it no longer bothers me, and tonight this was Beck's message.
TheaterGeek
I quit LGF a while ago as well. In fact Chuck kicked me off his site for criticizing him on another site. I go back every once in a while to see what they are talking about and Beck is all over. Did not know they are supporting global climate change.
I like Beck He talks about things that no one else does and it's important stuff. I couldn't care less if he's wacky at times. Consider him an informative showman.
Glenn is too emotional, too over the top for me, but his heart is in the right place, and he's done a wonderful job exposing the Communists advising BO.
So I hope his ratings continue to climb – I may start trying to watch him myself.
He's like Jerry Springer? You are clearly not a serious person. I think the people here need to learn not to feed the trolls.
Try this: "I was brainwashed by the liberal media."
Glenn is doing the job journalists used to do before they became Obamabots. His investigations of ACORN, SEIU and the Obama Czars should be getting more play in the media. Even some conservatives don't want to give him his due . Today several talk show hosts played the diversity Czar video that Glen had last night, but not one gave him any credit . Hannity completely ignores him and Levin constantly snipes at him. What's their problem?
He's not in Washington, you can bet on that.
Beck is offensive and should be boycotted? This, coming from the party of Keith Obermann?? Are you kidding me??!! Conservatives have a couple of loud voices against the TORNADO of left wing media, and they are afraid of BECK??!!
What a bunch of wusses.
So I'm a troll because you don't agree with me? You might want to double-check your dictionary.
Exactly how many times has Glenn broken down in tears on his show? How many times has he displayed ridiculous (some would say, manufactured) levels of anger of pedestrian situations (how about the video of him screaming at the woman calling his radio show)? Did using Ken & Barbie dolls to demonstrate the Obama administration establish him as a serious thinker, or was it just a silly, clown-like stunt? He does emotionally childish acts that no one else on TV does (unless you want to include Springer, Oprah, Maury Povich and Geraldo). If that entertains you, fine. As for me, I like serious people talking about politics, not ones who are trying to pedal an entertainment show filled with stunts.
I adore Glenn Beck. I listen to him on the radio and my sister records his TV program for me. If he were not occasionally wacky, blood would shoot from his eyes!
I am a 9-12er. A lot of people in my town are and I live in SUPER libville. Love Love LOVE Beck. I think he is about the least full of it person out there. I am mystified by the folks calling him a racist.
"The truth will make you free…" (jhn8:30)
Those words were first spoken by Jesus of Nazareth when He was speaking of Himself as in, "I am the truth, I am the way, I am the life: no man comes to the Father [God] except by me." (jhn14:6) By that Standard there is One Truth accompanied by facts that do-or-do-not pertain to The Truth. One or the other with no in-between. Some facts are unrelated to truth. Some "facts" are more factual than others. Some "facts" stand and others vanish like smoke. Facts change. Truth never changes. Just sayin…for the benefit of full disclosure. Godspeed Glenn Beck!
You left out Sarah Palin, Thomas Sowell, Steven Crowder, Star Parker…….
Not to nit-pick, but I think you meant "briar patch" when you said "tar baby."
Wait! You said "tar baby!" Eek, a racist! <jumps up on chair, grabs petticoats>
No, seriously, unlike those who jump on terms like that (and I wonder why no one did–the trolls must be under their bridges), I take time to understand the context. Hence, my nit-pick; "tar baby" would have been appropriate if you used it in conjunction with something like "quicksand" or "quagmire."
Oh, and for the record, I don't wear petticoats.
Beck tells it like it is, in no uncertain terms. He is courageous.
Why wasn't Anderson Cooper boycotted for being vile about the Tea Party protesters?
Wait, your high school banned "Candide"? One of my favorite books. We read it in high school, though.
He's one of my favorites. I've been listening to him for years on the radio and he really is an equal opportunity basher! It's about what's right and wrong, not who is right or wrong. Give him a try. He's theatrical but sincere and he's the ONLY one asking the questions that need to be asked.
Because Tea Party members mostly never watched him to begin with.
I've had the same thought! Visions of Vince Flynn's first novel keeps going through my head – what a set up.
Hold tight, America, we're in for a rocky ride. I don't think Obama is in control at all. I really think there is something sinister this way coming. For the first time in my adult life, I'm really scared.
Ah, of course! It's late – that's my only excuse.
Excellent clip! Really moving.
Keep it up Mr. Beck! For the truth with facts will set us Free!
