How to Kill Political Correctness in Five Easy Steps
by James HudnallLast week I told you why political correctness must die. There are plenty of reasons, but I gave five. Today I want to tell you how to kill it for good.
PC is something everyone seems to hate, yet it pervades our culture and lives. The only people who seem to like it are the ones who use it to impose their will on everyone else. The abusers. But we don’t have to put up with it anymore. It’s time we stood our ground and said “no more.”
Of course, to be un-PC doesn’t mean going out and insulting everyone. Bad behavior isn’t going to win you friends. But a lot of the alleged outrage out there from the PC clowns is bogus and it should not be allowed to pass anymore.
How do we do that? Simple.
It won’t be an overnight process. But it can be done. All that’s required are a few steps, and a dedication to following them. And not wavering. Because the abusers of PC will not give up easily.
The good news is the public is against them and signs are there that they tide is already turning. If there’s one thing power fears it’s when the masses are against them. We’re already at that point, it’s just a matter of focusing our energies.
Here are the steps to take:
1. Honesty: The Miss California incident showed one way to fight back successsfully. Stand your ground and stick to your guns. It certainly helped that she had an ally in Donald Trump who saw how popular she became and how much press she was getting. One way to be PC is to stop playing the game. Look for supporters who agree with you and back each other up.
2. Organize: Like-minded people need to band together to fight injustice and PC is injustice. Form groups with others. We should create an acronym organization that is a pressure group against PC. Since PC got its way for many years thanks to pressure groups, we should form one to counter it. What do we call it? STFU comes to mind, but I’m sure we can think of something catchier.
3. Fight Back: If you get into trouble for not being PC, don’t roll over like Don Imus did or many others who knuckled under. Work with groups who support you and don’t let the media tell you how you’re supposed to act. If people call for you to be fired for saying something that wasn’t what they claim it to be, don’t let them push you around. Bullies need to get smacked back. Teach them a lesson.
4. Unity: We need to stick together to overcome those things that are a threat to our freedoms. PC is only part of a larger problem. But taking care of it is a great start. Stick by your fellow PC critics and back them up. Together we can do this.
5. Speak Out: Finally, when you see the media being PC or promoting some absurd PC agenda, email or write them. Do the same to politicians. Make sure they get the message that the people are not supporting this nonsense anymore. If they get enough mail like this they will get the message. Believe it.

In order to do either of these things the "Organization" you speak of will have to be a "legal" group because when the ridicule from the media does not get you then the "lawyers" from the interest groups will. Free Speech is yours as far as your legal retainer will take you.
"Believe it."
That reminds me of something…

I'd say not apologizing is the best route. Organizing/uniting sound great on paper, but mass groups always seem to be the most easily offended. Always have been, always will be. Because I was apparently high, I joined Team Sarah, and I get their email updates on a near-daily basis regarding one offense or another that has rattled their worldview, one I happen to agree with (the defense of Sarah Palin) but one that is quite annoying. As I noted in your last piece, the best way to fight PC is to divest from your alma mater – Notre Dame has lost millions by conferring an honorary degree on the nation's most notable defender of abortion.
The Tea Parties – I took part in the OKC one – were great because of the loose organization. The wisdom of Eric Hoffer lives on regarding the nature of mass movements, regardless of their root grievances. Don't organize – stand up for yourself.
"PC is injustice". How is that? Was what happened to Prejean wrong? Morally offensive? What should have happened differently? What was wrong about it? She shouldn't have been bullied? What would you do to prevent what happened?
The truth is that nothing illegal happened, and coincidentally, nothing unjust happened.
Unpopular with this crowd, sure. But not unjust.
I was thinking the exact same thing. The PC crowd has so much legal back-up right now that anyone on the other side needs to have deep pockets to fight them on a large battleground.
Indy, I agree w/ you and enjoy seeing your comments. I've got a question for you. could you send me an e-mail at dac50@go-concepts.com?

Meh. You nailed it with the first one. Just say what you would say. Don't go out of your way to get the goat of PC people. Just say it like you mean it; innocently. If they don't like it, let them make a fool of themselves and more importantly, let everyone else see them make a fool of themselves.
James, I've been waiting to read this since last week. And it was a lot of what I hoped. I think you've got five good ones here.
#3 is the toughest to overcome. Even if people are willing to fight for the right to speak freely, their bosses may not have the cojones, which can mean a dismissal to avoid a suit from the complainer. I think a boss would face the possibiltiy of a suit from an ex-employee because the ex-employee is out of work and less likely to afford a lawyer as opposed to possibly facing a "hostile workplace" suit from the complainer who wouldn't be fired which would then add more bricks to that suit.
Killing PC is the must-do to take back the language. I'm trying here

I think that it’s part of a broader point, as conservatives we need to better organize, and PC is a part of the liberal cabal. The Tea Parties were a good start. On all counts we need to become more vocal, e-mail your Representatives, boycott leftist companies, and get in the streets when necessary. We are the real power in this country organize and we win every time. Carter gave us Reagan.
One of the great things about getting a little older is that one tends to not look for a whole lot of approval from others. You realize that this really means nothing in the scheme of things. So, you say something which is true for you and others are annoyed or upset.
And that means??????
That they are annoyed and upset.
Life goes on.
Oh, yes and Obama is a turd in the punchbowl.
Yes, which is why we need to pool our resources. There are some free speech groups like FIRE that deserve our support.
Amen to that! Getting older has been quite liberating for me in terms of being able to speak my mind and not being worried about what others think.
On the other hand, in the words of Bobby Dylan: When you ain't got nuthin', you got nuthin' to lose…
That's one reason I travel fast and light.
If Perez knew Prejean's background and purposely asked his question it was unfair and thus unjust. Clearly the other contestants weren't asked loaded questions. She was singled out. How much more unjust can it be?
I've always wanted to make these into bumper stickers. They seem appropriate in light of the Prop 8 hissy-fit.
If you can't tolerate other people's views, maybe YOU'RE the bigot.
How about "HATE doesn't Celebrate Diversity"
Trolling doesn't really work that well on this forum for some reason. My advice to you: find greener pastures. Try Patterico's or somewhere.
Which is why I think the acronym for this new organization should be GFY. It demonstrates my attitude toward PC automatons and lefties in general perfectly.
also, take them on at your kids baseball games, in the check out line and at your kids school. For too long we conservatives have been polite and non-confrontational. Look what it has gotten us. If someone says something about Barak, healthcare, evil corporations, Bush, Cheney, or Sarah Palin, take them on. No matter where it happens, speak up. I would say be polite, but from now on that should not be your guiding principal. Let truth and reality be your guide.
6. Turn their PC back upon them. "Calling them 'African American' instead of 'American' is Racist!
If the Tea Parties have taught us anything, it's that being associated with a formal organization isn't necessary at all. In fact, it was off-putting – to say the least – when some Republican politicians tried to glom onto that movement. As far as I'm concerned every current incumbent is part of the problem, so we shouldn't be associated with any of them.
I'm just going to continue doing what I've been doing for years: being bluntly honest, and not apologizing for it. I'm just not a joiner, if I may be allowed an understatement.
5a. Stop re-electing Republican leaders(e.g. John McCain) who only tell you what you want to hear right before election time but then do the complete opposite when they're comfortably settled in their offices. It's time to stop supporting career politicians.
""3. Fight Back: If you get into trouble for not being PC, don’t roll over like Don Imus did or many others who knuckled under.""
Uh, Don Imus referred to the players of a winning women's basketball team as "nappy-headed ho's". Please explain how these comments from a prominent radio commentator are NOT politically or socially incorrect. Or how defending his defenseless comments are worth fighting for?
Some of you "I hate PC" nutters love to dish it out but dont like it when it comes flying back in your faces.
I think it would be helpful to remind everyone of the origins of PC-Chairman Mao. The Chicoms would send "nonconformists" to reeducation camps, and when they came back from the camps, they were considered "politically correct".
Sure can Dom
Thanks for the support. It means a lot
"Of course, to be un-PC doesn’t mean going out and insulting everyone. "
But they pretty much deserve it :p
It is racist. And not accurate either. I know a lot of black people who hate the term African-American. I have always refused to use it. In general I avoid hyphenated PC terms except to mock them.
Thanks Dom ~ bookmarked ya!
I don't endorse what he said, but he was just riffing as a commentator and he apologized to the women. They accepted his apology. It should have ended there. Instead Imus prostrated himself before Al Sharpton. one of the least credible people to talk about race with. That was stupid.
And he got canned which is absurd. That is what I have an issue with. Yeah, what he said was stupid. But so what? Too many broadcasters have been fired for harmless asides like that.
Thank you Frances. Hope you want to say your piece!
Wanna stop PC dead in its tracks? If someone calls you racist for a remark, answer back: "Hell yes! Yep, I'm a racist".
Case closed. What else can they do?
The actual phrase doesn't – and never – made any linguistic sense if you think about it. I remember dating a girl in the early 90's who was indoctrinated in this mindset, and the feeling she conveyed that this phrase meant something "polite" or "civil" or "respectful", or something along those lines. Involving the word "politically" into a two-word phrase should, by any logical standards surely raise the skepticism of any thinker – left or right. "Politically Expedient" or "Politically Embarrassing" are the first two examples I can think of that demonstrate the redundantly political nature of the phrase. It's subjective – politically – and it has been and always was employed by the left as "thought-control" from the outset. It means nothing and should be discredited. The phrase and the tv show title "Politically Incorrect" should also be discredited as worthless linguistic gimmicks.
You can also say: "Sig Heil, MF!"
You raise some good general points people can apply from all walks of life and in all countries.
I complained about a Made-in-America anti-family values show in Australia to a station. Sadly, they tried to justify themselves. Long story short: I took it to an independent body and won.
Complaining to stations is good – but I also believe in going to sponsors (or telling stations that you will) and independent groups. Never give up.
Should we mention that the vast majority of rappers say a lot worse things about women on their CD's, in concert, in their videos, in interviews and in some cases in their real life.
Can anyone figure out the difference between Imus and these rappers? Or am I not allowed to ask that question?
So wait–you're criticizing Notre Dame for not enforcing PC on their commencement speakers and actually allowing a differing point of view? Strange how you interpret PC…
Because its supposed to be a Catholic university, Notre Dame has certain standards and they lowered/eliminated/ignored them to have this president speak at their commencement. It's not a matter of censorship, but of not giving someone who opposes those standards a platform to hold forth and contradict the principles on which the university was founded. We don't allow Castro here in this country unless he goes directly to the UN to spew his bile and then back to Cuba for him. Why we let Achmagenocide run around loose and speak at Columbia university a couple of years ago was ridiculous, though I never thought that Columbia had very high standards anyway. Peoples' faith in the institution of Notre Dame was damaged or destroyed. I don't think that an apology will cut it in this case – some drastic action will have to be taken to mend these fences. The guy in charge may have to go, and policies should be written to clearly spell out who can be invited to speak at Notre Dame's commencements and receive honorary degrees. Notre Dame now has to take responsibility for its actions. If they don't, it means lower enrollments because parents don't agree with their actions of lowering their standards, or less donations coming in from the alumni, because they also don't approve.
The way I heard it, the question that Perez Hilton asked wasn't allowed by the rules of the pageant, but he asked it anyway. How does one stop a blowhard like that from violating the rules of the contest when he's a judge? I don't know, but then again neither does that other blowhard, Donald Trump who replied that he would have Hilton back as a judge. He obviously places more value in the publicity and the increased viewership that it may garner than the rules of the contest itself. Was any other contestant put on the spot like that? No – therefore it was an unfair and unjust question, Carrie Prejean was and continues to be demonized by a certain segment of this society – PC liberals, which includes homosexuals.
How about the flip side of that question? She who will remain nameless stood by her racist remark about the Tea Partiers. Maybe she's trying to break the boundaries of PC? Or is she just taking the "we won – STFU, little peons" stance? Who gets punishment for being non-PC? Certainly not the liberals, but let a conservative get out of line and watch the pig pile that ensues.
I believe that taking responsibility for one's actions, and conversely holding others responsible for theirs is a step in the right direction for getting rid of PC in this society. There's no sense of shame any more when you see liberals try to justify or mitigate some of the distasteful and sometimes unthinkable acts that they do for the sake of PC, and of course they use PC as an excuse and a shield. But of course, they vilify conservatives any time one of the thin-skinned types gets offended by something we say or do.
nothing unjust?
There were threats to remove her crown as Miss California EVEN BEFORE the photos came out. They just tried using the photos to add-on to the threat.
What had she done wrong to deserve those threats? She gave her OPINION and hte threat of removing her award was thrown out there immediately.
Since when is it PC to oppose abortion?
A sincere question: How is PC beneficial? I don't see it doing anything more than sparing someone's feelings.
just as a technicality Imus actually repeated the comments someone else said in the background. It is audible.
I think Imus was called out because he was the big name. The background voice is not as important as the big fish.
I don't know what this adds to the conversation, but I just wantted to throw it out there.
I actually like the group name STFU. It works for me!
Don't apologize. It is a sign of weakness for the left and terrorists!
One good way is to read proteinwisdom.com.
Jeff is fighting the good fight to take back our language.
Indeed. The libs are crazy with power. This AM, I read that the "people" support curbing greenhouse gases???? The last poll I saw had this issue as 18 th on the list of American concerns.
See, the POTUS and his turds simply lied and the press prints it.
Wake Up! Stand Up! Speak Up!
stop writing to each other and start writing your state legislators and those so-called representatives and senators in Congress. they have ALREADY sold us down the river! your Social Security benefits and tax dollars are ALREADY being given to people who have NEVER CONTRIBUTED A DIME! Foreigners living here legally can receive Social Security benefits – did you know that? We are funding and subsidizing ILLEGAL ALIENS – did you know that? Our government has been and continues to borrow money from CHINA because our goods are no longer made HERE and putting money back in the pockets of AMERICAN CITIZENS AND WE ARE NOW ENRICHING THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES THANKS TO THE NAFTA BILL PASSED YEARS AGO – so we are BORROWING MONEY FROM A GOVERNMENT THAT HAS NO HUMAN RIGHTS AND IT'S OUR MONEY! BRING OUR GOODS AND JOBS HOME AND TELL THOSE GOOBS IN WASHINGTON TO GO GET A J-O-B AND START PAYING TAXES THEMSELVES. They VOTED THEMSELVES exorbitant retirements – they can receive millions in retirement – and we are paying for it – did you know that? WAKE UP!
The outright stupdidy of political correctness can be stopped with common sense which liberals reject
Your post revealed that you are perfectly incapable of seeing through and understanding the truth. So, in what part of your brain not working right?
Having attended college with students from Haiti and Jamaica, I've always been cynical about the term "African-American". What IF they are "Haitian-American" or "Jamaican-American"? That would be like calling a caucasian "German-American" person "Irish-American" just because that may be our most obvious connection to "white" people.
"…stop supporting career politicians…." Hear, hear. The greatest parasite on the taxpayer is the average career politician.
The Prejean issue it the epitome of political correctness and why it should be stopped. Political correctness is the assumption there is a "correct" answer or viewpoint to everything, that aligns itself with a leftist ideology, and any other viewpoint is wrong, and should be shunned or silenced.
Prejean stated her view on gay marriage(coincidentally the same view as most Americans and the President). End of story.
Yeah! Don't stop until we can call a spade a spade again! You know what I mean. *wink*
Yeah! Don't stop until we can call a spade a spade again! You know what I mean. *wink*
Suggestion: I practice non-PC-ness everyday. I post my thoughts at HuffingtonPost, the No. 1 political blog and influencial to left thinking. I do not use fowl language or pick fights. I simply state something I believe in, for example "I believe Carrie Prejean is right in her belief on gay marriage." This type of post will obviously tweak everyone and lead to a long debate. But I have stated a simple, honest sentence about what I believe, and it isn't PC. That is the point–to remind those on the left that they are not the gatekeepers of public opinion.
You should ponder expanding your "honesty" process to include taking back the language from the PCers. They have staked out the English language as their battle ground and weapon.
For example, for as long as I've been alive a racists is some one who forms their opinions of others primarily on the basis of race. The PC definition is anyone who disagrees with a modern liberal.
A couple more:
confiscatory taxes = federal revenue.
People keeping more of their own hard earned money = stealing from the poor.
Utilizing the opportunities presented by freedom, liberty and capitalism = hating the poor.
53% of a vote = nationwide mandate.
What does anyone think about a running compilation of the political corruption of the language by PCers?
This is going to be a grueling, vicious, hard fought, pitched battle, they've dug in deep in the class rooms, but its a necessary fight, because it sets up the dynamics for every other battle.
Allowing the left and it's minions to define what words are acceptable, what views are allowable, and use manipulation of public pressure (and abuse of it) to get their way, has gone on far too long and resulted in ends such as we see in the culture war today, not to mention a community organizer with little experience in actually doing anything, tinkering with an economy, the most dynamic on earth, which he clearly does not understand.
it's time to start pushing back. And dig in for the long haul. We're not like the left. We'd rather be working and with our families and producing things for other citizens, who are free of our control so long as they don't harm our rights. But now it's evident that allowing them to run the playground has to stop, and it's time to work from the ground up, regardless of what they say about it…which of course, will be a lot.
Political correctness starts at home.
PA Jails Man Four Times for Child Support for Child who's not His
"…it took the Patriot News newspaper less than an hour to locate the real father who had custody of the child (Penn Live, 5/12/09). As I said, you can bank on the taxpayers of the State of Pennsylvania paying for this latest example of child support zeal."

It is evidence of our belief in the basic goodness of people that we have allowed this to get as far as it has. We prefer things other than wearing our hearts on our sleeves and stamping around in the streets or browbeating people at parties or gathering, or 'getting in their faces' as certain supporters were exhorted to do, or digging up divorce records on people's parents. Yes, it happens..but we oppose it, where as I have been hard pressed to find a single leftist who will commit to saying this is wrong on the Prejean issue.
But there are more important things going on her now, fundamentally destructive power has been achieved by people are implementing the ideas and self annihilating ideas created by self aggrandizing, innately power seeking, navel gazing, and relativistic moralizing …to destroy an entire, unique cultural fabric and heritage and the very basis of that uniqueness. When Obama speaks of words meaning revolution, he means it.
The foundation of a nation on the idea that individuals, not the State, are the owners of their lives and actions, that rights are innate, not delivered by well meaning technocrats, and that our goals are ours, not to be chosen for us and legislated to us as if we cannot decide for ourselves what to serve and pursue.
One beginning..open a front in the culture war on political correctness and the innate ideological straitjacket it winds up backing. We see here how powerful doing so is…simple, honest, steps confound adversaries whose arguments wind up being shut up, go away, you need a desert island, or that they're 'giving up'.
In public life today we see the increasing power simply resisting has as it brings support out of the woodwork from people sick and tired of having basic morality ignored and the basis of individual rights, attacked in a foundational mannerl, using sneering attacks by those who quite literally think of themselves as your superiors.
If they didn't, well then the ideas they back wouldn't be paraded as necessary for you to live by. After all…you're choosing the 'wrong' things, and only a superior decides that.
Here are the steps. Take back opposition, discussion and ideas you stand for and will not back down from, openly, and proudly. Time to stop ceding ground out of your basic desire for civility, and realize that doing so has allowed them to reach what they have now.
Every time some liberal at a party or gathering is holding forth…don't be quiet, speak up. When you are accosted on the street, stand your ground. It's past go time. The most important thing is this…stop giving the left the moral validity they crave without a fight.
The most important thing for their agenda to function is the acceptance of other citizens of their principles, and especially citizens who do not spend a lot of time thinking of the ramifications of specific ideas and tend to implicitly accept ideas they hear a lot…in other words, the sanction of the victim is crucial.
Stop giving it to them by remaining quiet.
Like, such as, opposite politics
sorry for the rambling, this great blog post got me going. won't happen again. It coalesced at lot of what I have been thinking about since Jan 20.
It's unjust when the rediculed opinion is shared with the majority of the people. Only morons can't see that and got their panties in a bunch. Are you a moron?
You nailed it, I think. People who make a big show about taking offense at remarks that are not intended to be offensive should be politely asked why the remark is offensive. Make them explain themselves. (They really hate that.)
Prejean was asked for her opinion and answered providing the same opinion as that held by our new president. She was honest and forthright. She did not call anyone names. She did not denigrate anyone for disagreeing with her. In short, she demonstrated honesty, integrity and tolerance of those who hold a different opinion. What she didn't do was tow the liberal party line. And for that she was subjected to the most vile of personal attacks, over and over and over. The attacks were, and continue to be, disgusting and clearly misogynistic in nature.
On top of that those vile attackers have shown themselves to be degenerate craven cowards. They won't go after Obama simply because he is male, he has greater power to defend himself in the MSM, and he belongs to another protected group. Prejean is an easy target because she is white and female with limited ability to fight back relative to Obama.
It's the same sick cowardice demonstrated by their lack of going after Islamists who hang gays, cut off their limbs, and worse.
Perez Hilton has set back the cause of gay marriage and solidified the opposition.
BS!!! Call them a racist. We're not the racists, they are. They think people of color are so fragile they must be protected by their glorious white benevolence. I criticize my white friends and they criticize me, why shouldn't I have the same freedom with everyone else and they with me? I'll never admit I'm racist just to make a point.
Right. Because in your mind a young woman being slandered for weeks for simply answering a question that she was asked is okay to you.
Bravo, James! Great post. "Say what you mean and mean what you say "- – it's the best way to deal with PC bullies.
[...] How to Kill Political Correctness in Five Easy Steps I have a little insight on this. During my recent trip I talked with a wide range of people and I found one common thread. When I made a critical comment about ‘Comrade Obama’ or his ‘Obamist thugs’ most people wanted to side with me, but they were circumspect in their criticism. It was like we can’t really criticize a black person or those who work with a black person. [...]
"S"yntax "T"hinkers 'F"or "U"nity! = STFU!
Please. PC is a female creation. See Whoopi Goldberg on the View ripping into Glen Beck. For his politics. He just takes it.
Women love PC, it gives them social power to destroy those who threaten their popularity. Women will never give it up, so PC and Multiculturalism is here to stay. Lest anyone doubt me, watch any episode of the View. That is our future.
You're going to have to be more focused than that. One of the most honorable politicians I know is my state Representative who's been there so long they'll likely carry him out of office. Barry is an inexperienced newcomer, and not just by comparison. Just because politics is your career doesn't make you bad, character still matters most.
I'm no racist, I'll invite anyone to think like me.
I found one way to take the wind out of the sails of people who think you shouldnt criticize someone of a different color …I always tell people why I did NOT vote for Obama:
"The day before the Presidential Inauguration was Martin Luther King Day. Do you remember what MLK said? He said [paraphrasing] we should not judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character [sic]" Only I make it a point to mention MERIT, not character…and I say "I looked at Obama's MERIT…and FOUND NONE."
If they want to insist that I vote for a man because of his skin color, fine by me. Ive just proven that *I* am not the one who is racist. I looked at his MERIT and made my decision based on that.
I say there needs to be pressure to SUPPORT those conservative Congressmen that are still there…I cant tell you how disheartening it was to see the RNC completely BAIL on supporting my former congressman, Tom DeLay – where was the defense in the face of false charges? Where was the RNC in defending one of its best people? The Democrats circle the wagons around their own, but as soon as there is even a whiff of impropriety, even when it is madeup junk by the opponent, the RNC suddenly act like that member is a pariah.
The only good thing thats come out of that is that DeLay was able to get together with others outside the influence of the RINOs of Congress…I hope they regret letting him go…
Ms. Ferguson gets it! Look at the list of Republican politicians that once the Dems decided to take them down were abandoned by their fellow Republicans.
Compare Richard Nixon to Bill Clinton. They did about the same things in office only Nixon did not lie under oath. What did the Repubs do? They call for Nixon to resign. What did the Dems do? They circled the wagons around Clinton stuck up for him. Foley? He got zinged for emailing a page. I never did get whether the page was underage when he emailed him; I believe the most salacious email was to and from a 21 year old. What did the Repubs do? They ditched him. Compare that to Gary Stubbs who took an underage page out of the country. Barney Frank's partner ran a whorehouse from his house – he's still there. Larry Craig supposedly played footsie in a bathroom stall. He had no defenders in his party. Why didn't the Reps say to the Dem and propaganda press? "You got something against gays?"
There's a way to always tell Dems from Repubs.
Dems put PARTY first, self-interest second and to hell with the country.
Repub pols put self-interest first, country second and to hell with the party.
Addendum:
Add Gingrich when compared to Pelosi. Pelosi has proved herself to be dumber than a tack hammer. She's taken on the CIA and jeopardized national security. The Dems are circling the wagons. I can't remember what Gingrich did, but it was minor, and the next thing one knows, he's OUT.
We need a new party, a third party of fiscal conservatives, strong on national defense and borders and let God and the Church take care of morality.
Why do Democrats find it so hard to brush their teeth?
That's such an un-PC argument.
How many leftists hate Clarence Thomas? ~ 99.9% of the leftists in this country. They judge Clarence Thomas by the color of his skin; yet cannot fathom when people do not care about Teh Won's skin color but look at this qualifications (a.k.a. 'content of character') and found it severely lacking and rather anti-free market and exercised the right to vote against him and also exercise the right to freedom of speech and criticize him….
