Maybe instead of "Raisin In The Sun" I recommend considering "Freakanomics". These statistics gurus discuss the "Donohue-Levitt hypothesis" and explain why the drop in crime across American cities in the early 1990s had LESS to do with mayoral/police campaigns and had EVERYTHING to do with the passing of Roe v Wade a generation prior.

Fascinating stuff. That is, if you can handle the truth!

Rep. Fortenberry, you do your cause very bad service by making easily disproved overstatements.

2004 is the latest year for which the Statistical Abstract has numbers for both categories. That year there were 616,000 live births of black children, while 453,000 black women had abortions. Numbers for the previous four years were about the same.

Thus the correct statement is "three-quarters as many", not "twice as many". It's not as dramatic, but is more than sufficiently horrendous – there is no need to exaggerate.

Leave that to the global warmists.

The irony of Margaret Sanger and her legacy clique, Planned Parenthood? Sanger was a proponent of contraceptive use and other pre-conception population control measures; not abortion, which she considered barbaric.

Contraceptive habits such as use of condoms and pills as endorsed by the same abortion industry that banks its fortunes on the failure of said contraceptives (abortion mills would be a bit less lucrative if the practices they advocate were really effective)? Or do you just mean abstinence?
