This from the health care ammendment they are trying to pass today, pg 9 Section 1003 Employer responsibility:

‘‘(D) APPLICATION OF EMPLOYER SIZE TO
ASSESSABLE PENALTIES.—
‘‘(i) IN GENERAL.—The number of individuals employed by an applicable large employer as full-time employees during any month shall be reduced by 30 solely for purposes of calculating—

the assessable payment under subsection (a), or

‘‘(II) the overall limitation under subsection (b)(2).

If you are a successful business owner and you have reached 30 employees in size congratulations Pelosi and Frank say you are a Fortune 500 company. Congrats guys you've made it.

Ok Sorry I guess I might have to correct myself. I am reading this language to say 30 is the number that is to be used for the test however it states reduced by 30. I have heard 250 and 500 as cutoffs used for large firms by the goernment so that makes 220 ad 470.

This is probably the most confusing way someone could write this. WTF Why not just restate the number shall be X not the number Y shall have 30 subtracted from it before comparing to the Number X which we won't tell you, go look that up for yourself we won;t tell you where.
