Gene Simmons Slams President Obama’s Israel Policy: ‘He Has No F-Ing Idea What The World Is Like’
by HollywoodlandThis is why we love having rockers on our side:
A big thanks to Hot Air Pundit for finding this gem. Gene Simmons speaks so much reasoned clarity in this clip that he deserves curtain call.
How about a little “Detroit Rock City”?
UPDATE: By popular demand… “Rock & Roll All Night and Party Every Day”:

Awesome.
WOW! I finally watched the clip. Not only does he talk about Israel, he slams the UN and pacifists. I love this guy!!!
Add to that a recent interview when Uncle Ted Nugent handed Piers Morgan his head on a platter. I love a rocker on our side.
Gene Simmons – 'Man of 1,000 Faces'
"For years I've lived inside my dreams (from my father)
Somehow I've made them real, it seems
I made my own rules, because I am a
Man of a 1000 faces, man of a 1000 faces, man of a 1000 faces, who's the man
I can put on any face, you all know me, but it's no disgrace
The king of night, he understands"
who am i ?

Gene Simmons is a righteous Jew. Good for him, sticking up for Israel.
Dang! I didn't realized Gene was so deep! Good for him.
As a righteous Christian, I will stick up for anyone that believes in justice, democracy & freedom! Go Israel.. now if I can just convert them… but if not… hey maybe I should slaughter them! Nnnng… nope, nothing in New Testament tells me to find them hiding behind a rock and kill them… guess I'll just have to pray for them.
Barry Soetoro does have a clue, it's just a muslim clue and it does not include any other non-muslims.
TELL IT LIKE IT IS, GENE!!!!
Rock on.
now THAT made me wanna rock and roll all night…and party everyday
the cnbc progressive puppet interviewing him didn't stand a chance because gene MADE SENSE!
Better late than never, Gene. Welcome to the light.
Mazel tov, Gene.
Gene and KISS are publicly shallow while really possessing depth of thought and talent.
Gene was born in Israel and was a soldier there in the 1950's.
I love Gene Simmons even more.
Yes Gene, Shout It Out Loud! I guess after voting for the idea, Simmons found out that there are Two Sides of the Coin that should be looked at. You better take care Obama, because it sounds like Gene’s Watchin’ You! This really makes me want to Rock and Roll All Night. I Love It Loud. Whew, I’m Wiped Out after writing all this.
The only disagreement I have with Mr. Simmons and its a small one is, Obama knows
exactly what he is doing and where his sympathy's lie. His proposal for Israel is to give up
land to appease the Muslims/Hamas/Palestinians is ridicules and he knew it when he
proposed it. It was a signal to the Muslim world that he also hates the Jews and is one
with them. This benefit of the doubt is bogus, our President is not only a Muslim sympathizer
at best but anti Israel and the U.S. Constitution in particular..
Dang, you beat me to it. Oh well, my post can be a nice companion to yours.
Being a long time Kiss/Gene Simmons fan…this isn't surprising. If you want to entertain yourself for a day or two, pick up his autobiography. The old cliche…never judge a book by its cover…well, let's just say it's very applicable here.
"Hello?"
"Yes, I'm calling Dr. Love."
"Speaking…"
"He has no f-ing idea what the world is like."
Basically, whenever I, as a Conservative/Libertarian, argue with a progressive about his or her position on an issue, my argument boils down to what Gene Simmons just said.
What an uncouth, boorish SOB. Gawd, I love him.
And the bimbo's response? That's like sharia law! Media morons.
Great clip, except for the part where he admits he voted for 0bama. How could anyone who followed politics and the 2008 election think that 0bama would not through Israel under the bus?? Everything pointed to a strong pro-Palestinian bias and weak indifference and in some cases outright hostility to Israel.
I'm assuming Simmons followed the election and knew about 0bama's background, advisors and supporters, yet he still would not vote for McCain/Palin. It can only be Palin Derangement Syndrome that caused this. I've met many intelligent people, part of that 20% or so of the voting public who actually follows politics, and I'm shocked at how many still to this day have such a visceral response to Sarah Palin.
U got that right! (Yes, that line is from Gene.) It's nice to respect someone as a person after being a big fan of his music for decades.
I'm not and I do. Gene's also a righteous American. Sticking up for Isreal is good for the world.
Trump as president and Simmons for his vice! (just joking) But thanks Gene! Agreed.
Impressive considering he was born in 1949. ;o)
OK '60s.
Gene just became the Republican frontrunner for 2012!
Not really but awesome none the less.
Well, he DID star as the Heavy against Tom Selleck in Runaway.
Just sayin….
Are you sure you're not thinking of Dr. Ruth? ;o)
Seriously, I can't find any mention of him returning to Israel (he moved here when he was 8 or 9) to serve in the military between graduating HS and forming KISS in '73.
She's as clueless as her MESSiah.
Gene Simmons is fantastic. Hussein shares the arab view of pushing the Jews into the sea which is why he advocates for policies meant to undermine Israel’s security. Israel, a tiny sliver of land among a sea of Islamic nations, is constantly berated and told to make concessions to those that want to see her wiped from the face of the earth. Hussein can make his hollow proclamations about our bond with Israel to cloak his ulterior motives but there is no doubt that demanding Israel return to 1967 borders, which every palestinian terrorist faction and surrounding hostile nation dreams of, is a suicidal demand. Fortunately Israel has a real leader in Netanyahu who essentially told Hussein to go phuq himself.
Israel needs to return to its biblical borders and reclaim Samaria, Judea and Gaza. Send the palestinians home to Jordan or elsewhere in the vast desert of the middle east. Israel took in hundreds of thousands of Jewish Ethiopians and Iraqis; it’s time the rest of the surrounding Islamic nations took in the palestinians.
This Chicago Community Organizer is SO finished. This is the first time in our nations history that a U S President has sided with a Terrorist organization like HAMAS, against our best Ally in the Middle East, Israel. What the hell was he thinking? That Black Liberation Theology (MARXIST) Church he attended for 20 years much have affected his brain. The second clue should have been when Michell Obama posed with Mrs. Farrakhan on the cover of the Nation of Islam magazine. It was Delicious to watch Mr. Netanyahu dismantle this phony Marxist Megalomaniac before the entire WORLD. Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister and rest assured We the People will hire a REAL LEADER in 2012 who will understand the relationship between our two countries. Our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and we will always have that bond.
It has always been a mystery to me too, as to why most American Jews support the DemocRATS. Unbelievable. It doesn't seem to matter, Secular or Orthodox, they vote for Dems and give them their money. Maybe this will be a turning point, but I doubt it.
Wow, so you need to pray for Israeli Jews since they don't follow your religious beliefs? How'd that Rapture thing turn out for you dude?
I've said this before but it bears repeating:
You all owe it to yourselves to check out William Shatner's Raw Nerve interview with Mr. Simmons. It aired sometime in the last year or so. It might be one of the best interviews I've ever seen and you just might tear up as he describes the first time he set foot in America. Good stuff.
We pray for anyone in need. And our religious belief does have some history with Judaism… in case you didn't know.
Also… we pray as well as do things like you, posting comments on boards and speaking out thusly.
Any belief system that is not Christian, is by our belief, not it. Sorry.. if that upsets you, but contrary to the multicultural belief system invoked today, which we believe is total bull, most belief systems do think themselves superior… like Atheism, Islam, Hinduism…
Having said that… which of those belief system nations or states or cultures would you want to live in? yah know where 51% of the population is thusly or the govt believes it is all powerful & there is no God to limit its power?
I'm Jewish. Are you saying I'm in need? Am I going to hell since I don't believe in Christ?
I don't think I'm superior to you. I've got plenty of friends who are Christian, but none of them have the chutzpah to tell me my belief system is not it.
Even Andrew Breitbart is Jewish. Is he going to hell?
First Christians were Jews. Gentiles need not apply. Only after Christ had risen had Gentiles also raised status to being saved. Regardless, Zechariah has me believing that God wouldn't ulimately turn away from His people. I believe that following the jewish tenants though are more than impossible, and you see more examples of secular jews then jews devoutly following the Jewish faith (you can say the same for Christians, going to Church Christmas, Easter, weddings and Funerals) God sent His ownly begotten son to show us forgiveness- perhaps because of the previously impossible law leading to sin-
Anyway, if you see dontlooknow, he'll be having his bar mitzvah soon, don't forget to congradulate him!
Gene Simmons admits to voting for the Socialist Boi wonder. That's all I need to know.
Don't Look Now? You mean the movie with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie? That movie's almost 40 years old. That's like three Bar Mitvahs old.
Or is dontlooknow someone on here? You mean wish him Mazel Tov?
Do you and Hollywoodron think me, Breitbart, and our Jewish brethren going to hell?
Painting an entire theology with the brush of a few ultra nuts? So I take it you must also feel that ALL Muslims are child raping murderers.
He was being facetious. Dontlooknow is a resident anti-semitic troll with a heart of pure evil.
You 2 (billy and ben) have more in common than not. Agree to disagree. I doubt he thinks you are going to hell. His decision to "pray for you" was probably spoken out of kindness, not condecension. So, take it with a grain of salt.
I'm not the judge, and I didn't say that. Zechariah 12 makes clear that God comes to Isreals rescue even when All nations turn against her. Zechariah is an interesting read. But my question is how is your faith? Do you think that some of the fine jewish examples in entertainment and politics give us a real clear view of what a Jewish faithful should be? Barney Franks? Woodie Allen? Allen Greenspan? Ron Jereomy? Michael Moore? Like I said, I'm not the judge and jury, and as a studier of the Old Testment and the New, I have nothing but praise for the faithful.
Hey, I'm liberal and I dislike Michael Moore as much as you guys do. Guess we do have things in common. : )
Liberal… Oh my… Jewish, I could find peace with that…
Liberal.. hmmm- I guess you're going to hell after all.
So here's the deal- not saying such a rumour would start with me, but I'd still love to see everybody congradulating dontlooknow on his bar mitzvah. I haven't seen him around much recently…
So glad you "could find peace" with me being Jewish. You're a mensch.
Guess I can find peace with you when you learn to spell congratulations.
Funny thing, earlier today I got another anti-semitic troll to admit his greatest weakness. Being "accused" of being a Jew. Rather than call him anti-semitic, or racist, I simply ask him how his "bris" went. Makes their heads explode.
I have immense respect for anyone under the judeo-christian tent, unless they are intent on destroying eachother from within.
It has been proven time and time again… Harvard produces the smartest idiots in our government.
I'm not much of a speller. Intensedebate on IE doesn't have a spell checker. Internet is cool! I don't get giddish about your yiddish. I could hang with being a mensch. At least you didnt' call me meshuga. Though I probably have some in my mishpocha. God Bless you either way!
You have to remember:
Judaism does not recognize Original Sin.
There is nothing we are innately damned for that we have to be saved from by someone.
Nor are non-Jews automatically damned according to Judaism.
Nor are Jews who sin automatically damned, or even in "permanent" trouble except for a very few extreme sins, like sacrificing your children and such.
Nor was the Mosaic Law intended to cause sin, but rather to serve as an example of a strict code, above and beyond the very simple code required of all. In a sense, think of Jews like a Christian Monastic Order, or something like Opus Dei, but as an entire people signing up.
Which of course means that in a sense, every time Orthodox Jews walk around just living the way they do, they are praying for everyone, Christians and non-Christians, who are in need of guidance.
You are a mensch. But Hollywoodron thinks I need to be saved, so he's total meshuga. : )
Gene Simmons, he has no idea???? Really, do you believe that? Have you noticed the damage bo's done? Are you saying Arizona is because he has no idea? Are you saying the farmers in California, shut down for a minnow, are because he has no idea? Are you saying his shutting down the oil production by the courts and by the EPA are because he has no idea? Are you saying his interference in the exploration of coal is because he has no idea? Gene, either you're trying to make a point without telling him what he really is, or YOU have no idea.
Actually Gene's clearly speaking about foreign policy in direct relation to Israel and its neighbours in which YOU can't possibly challenge his sincerity. Gene has been another American centrist who when pushed into action has pulled no punches nor tripped over his rhetoric. Gary Sinise hasn't put his shoulder into Obama as Gene Simmons repeatedly has on the issues of free market capitalism and Israel. I'll await the same sentiment expressed by yourself when Gary's name comes up too.
He became "samfarber"
I wonder what Mr. Obama would think if Prime Minister Netanyahu demanded the United States withdraw to its 1845 borders?
You Americans have but a handful of those in the entertainment industry who are relevant enough to have the left leaning media's attention and conservative enough to speak out against Obama in areas actual conservatives can relate to. He's not Alex Baldwin or Matt Damon bemoaning Obama's having NOT flat outlawed conservatism nor another PETA edition Barbie whose closer to nature beach mansion "Didn't wreck any habitat silly… its just a beach!" wailing away about another genetic dead end species heading off to join the other 99% gone before them. Be happy a few who can bend an ear are saying things you can agree with and that can make Obama squirm like no others. Remember Obama himself is a genuine product of the American entertainment industry itself and very much vulnerable to the same.
The rapture didn't happen. There's still time to convertchya.
Obama, if he was ever going to get elected prior to that speech, I didn't think he would before, his goose is cooked now. Israel is not the bad guy in the region, If anything they should just deal with the problem once and for all by crushing it, then dictate terms, then you have peace, it works, Gee's look at Germany and Imperial Japan. Bibi Netanyahu put him in is place. They are not going to roll over just because it's Obama. The IDF is better trained and better equiped than they were in 1967.
I am with you all this praise for a man who voted him. I curious as to what his vote will be in 2012. I can pretty much tell what Nugent will be, can you say the same for Simmons?
You are giving to much credit for something which is not deserve. 2012 will decide if he learned his lesson. Mr Simmons appears to be as some Jews are waking up to the true nature of the Democrats. Mr Obama is not the first but the Jews turned or ignored Jimmy as crackpot, excused Clinton meeting with Arafat as an indiscretion. It is the Democrat party. The only question will Jews continue their blind support for this reckless party? This is when Mr Simmons will be validated as to his true belief.
Funny, every criticism I hear from those on the left that voted for Obama usually begins with, "You know, I think he's a nice guy," or "I'm sure he's sincere." It's like they have to qualify the oncoming negative comment. I think we got it: when Bush did stupid things it was because he was stupid or evil; when Obama does something stupid it's because he's naive, but gosh darn it, he has a good heart and is personally a great guy! We were warned that he wasn't qualified for this job and instead of being concerned with all his screw ups, people are still saying, "Give him a chance!" This is the most powerful position in the world and we are treating Obama like the intern everybody likes but nobody would choose to work with if they had a choice.
Simmons is basically right about everything except that women should rule the world. Guys may not think with their brains most of the time, but… well, I'll just say women aren't perfect either.
Other than that, SPOT ON. Simmons 2012? (Hey- we could very easily do worse.)
Can't add anything to what Gene said!
Funny, every criticism I hear from those on the left that voted for Obama usually begins with, "You know, I think he's a nice guy," or "I'm sure he's sincere."
To which anyone with IQ over 20 should respond. "You don't come out of the Chicago political machine by being either of those things."
A man with a set of stones.
"I've met many intelligent people, part of that 20% or so of the voting public who actually follows politics, and I'm shocked at how many still to this day have such a visceral response to Sarah Palin."
It's often the similar reaction that vampires have to sunlight, or a crucifix. At least, that's how I view it.
Nugent POTUS/ Simmons VP. I have every confidence in the world that the media heads would dig into Simmons as ruthlessly as they dug at Governor Palin, with two potential outcomes- They will actually find things to hold against Simmons, and he would break under half the abuse that Sarah took.
Actually, I didn't know that about Original sin, I just deemed as we studied from the same book the same conclusions would be drawn. So what is the consquence (if any) in the Jewish faith for Adam and Eves indiscretion? They were kicked out of the garden of Eden, and this was punishment enough for all man kind? Just a guess…
For years, various pseudo-Christian cults have been predicting that the world would end on a specific date. All of these predictions failed. There is just no way to know when the world will end. See Matthew 24:36: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
This latest Rapture scare was a con to get gullible people's money. I am a complete and total Bible-thumper, and I never took it seriously.
The same general conclusion (ie The Golden Rule) has been drawn.
Certain specific conclusions . . . not so much. (Judaism also doesn't have any Satan or Hell, which makes threats of either rather irrelevant.)
As for Adam and Eve, they were punished by the ground being cursed, and childbirth becoming painful and such, and the Garden of Eden was closed. Yes, those affect their descendents, but not as a general punishment on them for acts they never committed, but as a consequence of the specific punishment of Adam and Eve.
Men sin because they aren't perfect, not because they bear any inherent taint. That leads to the consequence as I noted before, that nothing is beyond being forgiven, provided of course you are sincere in repenting, and choosing to do good.
I would NEVER compare Gary Sinese with Gene Simmons.
yeah, didn't it sound kinda like global warming to you? The nutsoids just don't read the Bible do they. Or perhaps their pastor just conveniently passed over that part or it would make proof that he is a false prophet. I realized a long time ago Pastors, Priests, Rabbis, and AA Sponsors (yes I had a few of those too) are as frail a human being as I am, and though I get guidance and direction from them It's my responsibilty that I don't follow them over a cliff. It's a sound point to always do your own research. Until then I can only sit here observe and shake my head.
That's it- Men sin because they aren't perfect. and that was the whole point of the Adam and Eve story wasn't it. I guess the Christians put the cart in front of the horse on that one. Adam and Eve were perfect before the sinned. No they sinned because the weren't perfect. Given the opportunity to have the knowlege of God, and thus achieve perfection was too good a deal to pass up. Still, had it not been for that small little incident Adam and Eve would still be alive today frolicing in the garden without any need to have babies- thus you and me wouldn't be here having this conversation…
Glad I watched this.
Good to see someone who voted for Obama who refuses to lick his boots. Gene doesn't have to convince us about the UN.
Any true Christian recognizes that the Jews are G-d's people – the prayers, if any, are for unity IN G-d. Any true Christian recognizes that we may not understand G-d's working in the world, but we do know He DOES have a Plan. As a Christian, I pray that we are all brought under G-d's wing. I personally don't understand WHY Jews believe what they do, but I pray good things for them. Don't be so defensive when a Christian prays. It is, as Hollywoodron points out, meant with much more love than the filthy pagan cult that circles the "Kaaba" rock like a turd circles the commode and seeks to exterminate your people. Perhaps you can pray to G-d that a Christian's prayers are the 'right' ones???? After all, He's been listening to y'all for 2000 years more than Christians…
I just became a KISS fan…
My only problem with this Kiss guy is that he voted for Obama in 2008.
How clueless he was back than. Good to see him finally see the light, but as a grown man, he should have known better in 2008.
Obama is a disaster.
too bad he voted for obama though….i'm glad he has now seen the light but honestly….i thought he was smarter than that…….
He probably would agree.
Basically.
The details are of course more complex, and definitely involve free will, but that is what it comes down to.
As I noted:
Everytime an Orthodox Jews lives according to the Laws of Moses, he is praying for you.
If you ask him to convert, you are asking him to stop praying for you, an act which is, quite literally, a defiance of the Creator.
Thus why Jews become confused and agitated when Christians say they are praying for them, particularly in the hope they will convert. You are asking them to defy the Creator and abandon their efforts for your salvation so that they can be saved. They cannot comprehend why you would be praying for them to be so selfish.
Gene says he thinks 0bama "means well."
No he does not.
More like Constitutional law, and media types just equate the two like they're interchangeable. Sharia law would require you to kill your mother for letting the armed intruder violate her, probably including but not limited to multiple lashings and a stoning; if the man is a muslim and you are an infidel you may also be required to bend over as well.
Gene was born in Israel and has had this attitude for all his life. He had family members who died in the Holocaust. This isn't something new for Gene. It is good for him to admit his mistake for voting for Omama and for trashing the UN for what we already know it is – a paper tiger that needs to be given an eviction notice from the USA. I have never been a fan of glam or metal rock but Gene Simmons rules.
Before You the People can hire a REAL LEADER, You will need to come up with a viable Republican candidate. It's not looking too good for you. In addition to listening to the Rocker Simmons (whom I'm sure you would be condemning as a leftist know-nothing Hollywood musician if he supported Obama on this issue) you might want to try reading various articles by actual Israeli citizens living in Israel. Netanyahu and his hard line right Likud certainly are not that popular within his own country in many quarters.
I'd suggest you read these articles; and dig around for other articles, written by people who actually understand the complexities of the situation. That is, if you really want to look at it honestly (which I suspect you don't).
http://www.haaretz.com/misc/writers/carlo-strenge...
http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/opinion/toda...
As a Christian, I ran into a similar situation. I got a little flustered and lost my way. I started practicing a a far eastern sect (I'm not even sure you'd call it a religion) that asked that you view Christ as a master, in a long line of of profetic masters that they "worshiped." Though I got some essential growthout of it, after a year or so, I was depressed disorientated, and feeling (though never acting on it) self destructive. I centered very quickly once I stopped trying to deny my core beliefs.
Then there was Obama who was raised in the Muslim faith. I really do believe that he's either back in his faith or in a not so sound mind when it comes to his beliefs. This man should not be president.
After all the ignorant comments from such folks as Elvis Costello, Carlos Santana, and Roger Waters, I must say it is quite refreshing to hear the opinions of a smart man who knows how to play guitar.
Thumbs Up for Gene
LOL Uncle Ted!
There aren't many people willing to put up with what Sarah's had to deal with.
Here's Gene with Bill Shattner: http://www.biography.com/video.do?name=shatner&am...
Met him in '76 at a nightclub in Knoxville, TN. Intelligent and funny as hell. I liked his "I want my vote back!" clip.
I repeat find Gene Simmons "I want my Vote back!" interview.
Now you both know why I'm a Deist…!
Hey…!
I'm part of the KISS Army…!
Sometimes…sometimes you have to get hit in the head with a rock, to find out being hit in the head with a rock is not good for you…
At least Obammy has one less vote come 2012…one over here, and another one over there, and soon you start talking about landslides…and they ain't DIMocRAT ones…
There will be that FCC position opening up in 2012…
Has Romney made atonement for MassCare yet…?
Gene just learned the truth…and shifted his views accordingly…
Better that than cover it up…I like a man who's honest…
