Oliver Stone Criticizes ‘Jewish-Dominated Media’, Wants to Put Hitler ‘In Context’

Stone said that his upcoming Showtime documentary series for “Secret History of America,” seeks to put Hitler and Communist dictator Joseph Stalin “in context.”
“Hitler was a Frankenstein but there was also a Dr Frankenstein. German industrialists, the Americans and the British. He had a lot of support,” Stone told Sunday Times’ reporter Camilla Long.
Stone said that, “Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people, 25 or 30 [million killed].”
The Sunday Times interviewer then asked why there was such a focus on the Holocaust.
“The Jewish domination of the media,” responded Stone. “”There’s a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f***** up United States foreign policy for years.”
The director, who recently met with Iranian President Ahmadinejad, also slammed the U.S. policy toward Iran as “horrible.”

Wow, Oliver Stone is batsh*t crazy. Hitler "in context"- evil is evil. Evil doesn't need a context to be evil. I'm NOT jewish, but if 6 million people are sought out to be killed by a leader, that's EVIL and there is no context in which that is "O.K.". It's amazing the progressives cannot recognize evil (except in conservatives, of course) at all.

Stalin and Hitler were illuminati twins that carefully observed each other's own tyranny to raise hell throughout Europe. Of anything, what needs to be looked at is the lack of holding Stalin, along with his ideology and crimes, on the same evil standard as Hitler. Everyone is familiar with the evil of National Socialism, but hardly anyone can name the multiple atrocities of Stalin. Come to think of it, it's either kept to a paragraph or not mentioned at all in textbooks, which disturbs me greatly. I've learned about Soviet terror through documentaries and books, and only very little from school through a conservative history teacher I had as a junior.
I'd like to see Mr. Stone try telling any Eastern Europeans –Ukrainians, Latvians, Prussians, Poles, etc. –that their former dictator who killed, starved, and tortured them and their families…'just needs to be understood in context.'
Of course, leftists like Stone get a pass on anti-Semitism, as they get a pass on…well, just about everything else.

Stone is basically correct about how Hitler came into power and was able to get away with committing the atrocities he did for as long as he did, but not in the way he thinks. Hitler’s rise to power and ability to keep power came about because the eugenicist progressives in America supported the eugenicist Nazis in Germany in the 1930s.

I watched the film "John Ford goes to war" a few years back. This was a tribute to the WWII movies that John Ford made during the war. For some unknown reason they had Stone make some comments and he kept saying that Ford was buying what the govt was telling him (ie propaganda). THIS WAS WWII! With his views on communism and coddling of dictators, Stone is anti American plain and simple.

Why is it that nearly every time we look as if we might get into a conflict with a dictatorial regime somewhere the left always claims that it will be another Vietnam? Desert Storm was going to be another Vietnam, as was Afghanistan and Iraq (part two) and Panama and Grenada and so on ad infinitum. It's getting so that every time a soldier plays "Call of Duty" online we are cautioned by the left that we could be heading into another Vietnam.

I'm curious, is Stone actually suggesting that because Hitler killed more Russians than Jews in the war, that the deliberate attempt to eradicate Jews isn't all that important? That's kind of like saying that since Jeffrey Dahmer killed 17 people that the murder of just one of them is less important. It also raises a simple question: how many of those Russians who were killed were Jews as well as Russians?
BTW here's some context about "Uncle Joe" Stalin for Stone; it is estimated that Stalin was responsible for anywhere from 20 to 50 million deaths (some even claim that the number is over 100 million). In the 1930s between 7 and 11 million people were murdered by Stalin's orders in the Ukraine alone. Anybody want to bet that that tidbit of information won't find its way into Stone's documentary?
I can definitely see Stone's point about censorship in Venezuela. I mean Chavez shutting down a mere 34 radio stations August of last year wasn't censorship. It's not as if Chavez kept movie theaters from showing movies made by Oliver Stone or something. He only shut down stations that were critical of his government, but I'm sure that that was a coincidence.
Keep in mind that this is the same idiot who in 2004 told the Cuban newspaper Granma that "In the United States censorship is the order of the day." He claims that a dictator who closes radio stations that are critical of the dictator isn't guilty of censorship and that we are guilty of it in the US.
So the C.I.A killed Kennedy, Vietnam vets are all baby killers, Chavez is a swell guy, and the Jews run Hollywood. Well, you can't say he isn't right about the last one.
Stone is a Veteran of the Vietnam War, so my guess is he knows very well the effect of socialism / communism. And if you use his films as reference, it's fairly apparent that he understands the cause. My understanding has always been that there were a certain number of people who believed fascism/national socialism were the wave of the future. And a certain number of those people were wealthy industrialists – for whatever reason. I'm also pretty sure that as Hitler was rising to power, companies all over the world did business with German industries, even after those industries had been nationalized and were under Nazi party control. The country was regaining its status as a major economic, scientific and industrial power. There was money to be made. However, I don't think this means there was a big conspiracy among American and British businessmen *specifically intended* to bring Hitler to power.
It's the people who support people like this that cause me concern.

To keep the men fighting, a directive went out that all retreating soldiers were to be shot in the back. They were to stand their ground and face certain death or be shot by their own countrymen. During the great five year plan to industrialize Russia, the military was also used, this time against their own people, to take over all means of food production and leave millions literally to starve to death.
