Castro Catches Useful Idiot Celebs on Candid Camera
by Humberto Fontova“I’m very nervous!” twittered super-model Naomi Campbell during a press conference held in Havana’s Hotel Nacional in 1998. “I just spent an hour and a half talking with your president, Fidel Castro! But he told me there was nothing to be afraid of because he already knew a lot about us (Campbell and her travel-chum, Kate Moss) from reading the press!”
Castro undoubtedly knew plenty about Mss’ Campbell and Moss–but probably not from reading Vogue, Elle or Cosmo.

“My job was to bug their hotel rooms,” disclosed high-ranking Cuban intelligence defector Delfin Fernandez, “with both cameras and listening devices.
“When word came down that models Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss were coming to Cuba the order was a routine one: 24-hour-a-day vigilance. Then we got a PRIORITY alert, recalls Fernandez, “because there was a rumor that they would be sharing a room with Leonardo DiCaprio. The rumor set off a flurry of activity and we set up the most sophisticated devices we had.”
“Delfin Fernandez has not only met some of the most famous men in the world,” says a story in the London Daily Mirror about the Cuban intelligence defector, “he’s also spied on them and been witness to some of their most innermost secrets.”
“Fidel Castro is a source of inspiration for me!” gushed Campbell while concluding her “press conference.”It is a great pleasure to be in Cuba. I’ve really enjoyed myself, and I plan to come back!”
“Fidel Castro is a genius!” said Jack Nicholson after a visit with El Lider Maximo that same year. “We spoke about everything,” the actor rhapsodized. “Castro is a humanist. Cuba is simply a paradise!”
“The American actor Jack Nicholson was another celebrity who was bugged and taped thoroughly during his stay in Havana’s Hotel Meliá Cohiba,” revealed Fernandez, the man in charge of the bugging. “We bugged his room thoroughly. Most people have no idea they are being watched while they are in Cuba. But their personal activities are filmed under orders from Castro himself.”
Interestingly (and tragically) The ECPAT Network – (End Child Prostitution in Asian Tourism) in a study titled Child Prostitution and Sex Tourism in Cuba,” reports that: ”In Cuba, the link between tourism and prostitution is perhaps more direct than in any other country that hosts sex tourists.” Such is the desperation of the brutalized and impoverished residents of a nation that prior to the glorious Castro/Che revolution enjoyed a higher per capita income than Japan and half the nations of Europe and who welcomed more immigrants (primarily from Europe) per-capita than the U.S. Prior to the glorious Communist liberation people were as desperate to enter Cuba as they are now to escape.
“Famous Americans are the priority objectives of Castro’s intelligence,” reports Fernandez. “When the celebrity visitors arrived at the Hotels Nacional, Meliá Habana and Meliá Cohiba, we already had their rooms completely bugged with sophisticated taping equipment. But not just the rooms, we’d also follow the visitors around, sometimes we covered them 24 hours a day. They had no idea we were tailing them.”
“Socialism works. I think Cuba might prove that” (Chevy Chase).

“Castro is very selfless and moral, one of the world’s wisest men” (Oliver Stone).
“If you believe in freedom, if you believe in justice, if you believe in democracy, you have no choice but to support Fidel Castro!” (Harry Belafonte).
“It was an experience of a lifetime to sit only a few feet away from him (Castro)” Kevin Costner.
“The eight most important hours of my life,” (Stephen Spielberg describing his dinner with Castro, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.)
Famous Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar was a special target for this bugging but nothing of value came of it for Castro. “Everybody already knows I’m a maricon!” Almodovar laughed at Castro’s blackmailers. “So go right ahead! Knock yourselves out!”
“Fidel Castro is a special connoisseur of these tapings and videos,” says Fernandez, “especially of the really famous.” And not even his closest “friends” are safe from this bugging. The best example is his longtime Castro “friend” Nobel Prize novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez. In what appeared as a touching act of generosity and friendship, Castro gave his friend “Gabo” his very own (stolen) mansion in Havana.
“We had remodeled it right before,” recalls Fernandez, “and we installed more cables for bugging devices than for the normal electrical appliances. We taped everything. Fidel doesn’t trust anyone.”

Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Castro’s top intelligence people would gather for the screenings of these tapes almost like Hollywood types for an upcoming movie, reports Fernandez. “Hummmm, these scenes are more scandalous than anything in any of her movies!” Fernandez recalls a top intelligence officer chortling while watching the nighttime cavortings of a famous Spanish actress. “Now, it really seems to me, compañeros,” the Castro intimate snickered as he looked around the room, “that this señorita should be making more respectful comments about our regime, right?”
Turns out, however, that at least one visiting dignitary foiled Castro’s intelligence. On his visit to Cuba in 1998, Pope John Paul’s assistants discovered and removed several bugging devices from his Holiness’ hotel room. Perhaps Castro had a grudge against the Papacy?
Most don’t recall, but on January 3rd, 1962, Pope John XXIII ex-communicated Fidel Castro from the Catholic Church.
An estimated 65,000 Castroite Cubans infest Venezuela. Essentially they run that nation’s entire Ministry of the Interior (secret police/intelligence, etc.) along with many top military commands along with Chavez’ entire retinue of bodyguards (Hugo trusts Castro’s “specialists” more than he trusts his own countrymen for such a vital function.) So overbearing has become the Castroite occupation of Venezuela that Chavez’ longtime crony, Ramón Carrizalez, who served as Venezuelan Vice president and Minister of Defense, resigned in protest two weeks ago.
Just last year, by the way, GQ magazine commissioned their new ace reporter, Naomi Campbell, to interview Hugo Chavez, probably Fidel Castro’s closest foreign “friend” nowadays. According to some sources the interview escalated to matters not purely professional.
Makes you wonder what film screenings Fidel and his Stalinist cronies might be chortling and snickering over lately.

Hooray for communists – friends of humanity and liberators of puppies worldwide!
Where are those alleged CIA political assassinations when you need them? Thanks, Dr. Fontova.
I hope Castro comes out with his own movie, "Leftist Loons in Cuba Funniest Videos". I cant wait to see the whales, also known as Penn and Oliver, rolling around on the floor with some Cuban Mammas. "Oh do me Fidel!!!" LOL Not very surprising, giving the paranoia of all dictators.
Better Red than dead!
I put no stock in rumors, but I have long suspected that for many fans of Castro´s Cuba the cheap sex is what it really is all about. Sometimes the simplest explanation works. That is not necessarily true the most famous ones, though. Some people don´t need any prompting to be stupid.
If you believe in freedom, if you believe in justice, if you believe in democracy, you have no choice but to support Fidel Castro! (Harry Belafonte).
I still can't get over this insanity. How can otherwise intelligent people say Cuba is free, just or democratic? How can our brilliant celebrity betters be so very blind?
Pretty much all the celebrities mentioned would be shoveling horse manure in a barn for a living if they hadn't made it in Hollywood. So I suppose pathological guilt about capitalism is a natural reaction to how rich and worthless they are.
This is totally hilarious stuff. What a bunch of egotistical morons can be, and are! It’s so 2010 in Follywood to be a socialist/communist.
Castro is a digusting pig on so many levels – that he will most likely die a natural death – in his bed – from old age – is a damn shame.
He deserves a taste of what he has wrought upon the people of Cuba.
A firing squad would be justice, a single bullet behund the ear would be a small measure of justice.
Don't forget their goal to build rainbow machines and put a cotton candy in every pot!
So Mr Fontova, we must thank Fidel Castro for saving Cuba from the American rapists that had turned it into a whorehouse with the help of your relatives who now form the gusanera in Miami.
Thank God for Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez! and it is because of the Cuban inteligence that they are both alive today, Mr Fontova you are a criminal at the service of the evil of this world aka the zionist regime that rules the USA.
Hell has a suite with your name awaiting!
Thank you for your enlightening articles on Castro and Che. I have learned a great deal. It gives me more respect for the Cuban refugees who risk their lives to come here. Speaking of which, I work with a man who came here from Cuba in the sixties as a teen under the "Peter Pan Project", I think it was called. Very interesting story. He told me that it was a very secretive at the time. I had just read something about the project in a magazine article. When I mentioned it to him, he was very surprised to hear that I knew about it. He said that he was probably going to be sent to the Soviet Union for training, and that to avoid going there, he had to leave his family and come to the states.
Those idiots who are fans of the "wise" Fidel should be made to sit and listen to stories of real heroes who have lived through his glorious regime. Bunch of ninny-headed doofuses! Of course they think he is wonderful, they are being wined and dined and treated like royalty. I wonder what is going through their heads as they realize they were being watched in the hotel rooms? Knowing some of these immoral nit-wits, they probably secretly liked it.
Cuba is just like every other communist country. Paradiso for the wealthy and celebrities who can be exploited and Infierno for the rest. That's why communist countries need "handlers" for foreign visitors. It happens in every communist country on Earth.
there are no cats and the streets are made of cheese!
oh wait wrong movie
Gospel from THE sausage king of Chicago…..
Can you say "Manchurian"?
These only prove that Hollywood is a malignant tumor in the society. What kind of a monster Castro is when he has been long dead and gone still has a firm grip of his people? Who wants to live in the squalor of Cuba? The Kennedy hold grip to MA has been finally severs here. Time to free Cuba and free the people of the USA from Hollywood. The glory days of Hollywood are all dead and gone. All left are just parasites sucking the life and money of the American people.
I know….I was reading that and thinking…"Okay I know these people are self absorbed and live in well appointed Ivory Towers…but I was unaware that they were well and truly STUPID. Oh well, I guess without stupid people…well, I can't really think of a good reason to have them around…so Off with their heads I say!
I googled Peter Pan Project and did not come up with anything significant. Could you elaborate on what that was? Was it a compañeros type scheme? I agree that these useful idiots probably enjoy the voyeuristic experience. It probably tintillated them. As I read through this excellent article, my list of performers I wish to watch narrowed by yet another margin.
As I said, I may not have the correct title of the project. I read about it, I think, in a Reader's Digest several years ago, and then spoke to my friend. From what I remember, he told me that the US government secretly rescued many young men from Cuba. My friend ended up in an orphanage for a while, but his family later joined him. I hate to give you mis-information. My memory is faulty, but I promise, I didn't make this up. Maybe I will email my friend and have him re-tell me the details again. I am not sure what you mean about companeros scheme.
Birds of a feather flock together. Maybe they could have the next NAMBLA convention in Havana?
[...] More intransigence and fun here. [...]
Here is an article I found under Pedro Pan (makes sense). Don't know why it isn't showing up as a live URL.
http://www.miamiherald.com/pedropan/story/1050851...
How do you take out the malignant tumor that sucking the life and money of the american people? Make Palin president. This way all these Hollywood liberals leave this country in mass. Peaceful revolution anyone?
Thank you, Dr. Fontova. I was reading a National Geographic a few years ago and noticed an article on Cuba. I had read about the prostitution and sex slavery that goes on in Cuba. In the magazine there was a heartbreaking picture of a young girl dressed up in a gown, standing on a street, obviously being prostituted. Her face was so sad.
"Girls in Cuba enjoy dressing up and promenading down the boulevards," the National Geographic article gushed. "Enjoying the evening air with their families."
I put down the magazine that moment and I have never picked up another. National Geographic is evil. Evil.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That is too funny!
You make me sad. Kennedy's biggest blunder by far.
Now THAT I'd like to see.
"Some people don´t need any prompting to be stupid"
Great line.
You'll have to forgive Harry, but he was struck on the head repeatedly by a maraca.
And they wouldn't have even a cush shoveling job in Cuba.
i just LOVE poverty and tyranny so much. it is SO cool to be held down and live in a shanty town. OH not me of course. I'm a liberal elite movie star. I mean the commoners. Such a great system……sean penn

Uggh. Oliver Stone exposing himself.
Right on. I prefer to hang him on the gallows for all the world to see what a murderous dictator he is.
If it is so great there, why don't they all move to Cuba? Hollywood is so full of hypocrites.
thanks for you hard work
lol!
Ugh. I'd rather not. I'd rather they just move in with their hero and stay there.
When(not if)Castro dies Cuba will undergo a rebellion to throw off the shackles of oppression a he will become just another footnote on the ash heap of history.
"Brilliant"? Mr carry-me-bananah? Brilliant like a stone.
These actors/models/directors are either insane or stupid.
Cuba is a great place! (If your politically employed / connected or are a dumbazz "star"..
“It was an experience of a lifetime to sit only a few feet away from him (Castro)” Kevin Costner. LOL LOL LOL….
Yup. Exactly. Stalin killed MILLIONS and starved to death millions more. Mao, another commie wunderkind starved millions to death, Che' completely mismanaged the Cuban "economy" (ya, right it's collectivist nightmare) yet these Follywooders are blind to the facts?
Stalin and his henchmen lived like kings in the Krelin and their dachas, Castro has his palace, and the people are starving in the streets and suffering through rollling electrical blackouts.
Ridiculous – but understndable, Follywooders are of the same mind set – one set of rules for them – another set of rules for the "little people". I love to kick Sean Penn's scrawny ass. I know I'm way bigger than him,
Coming soon to a Youtube near you!
Thank you, Lady. That explains a lot. Sounds like it was a benevolent program.
I vote stupid.
Of course, Castro got this trick from his buddies the Soviets and East Germans, who used to secretly tape everyone visiting their socialist paradises. I wonder how many old blackmail videos are sitting on the shelves in some forgotten archive?
Castro Catches Useful Idiot Celebs….
Unfortunately for the world, it was catch and release.
Wouldn't that be a hoot?
See a little of that Naomi Campbell-Kate Moss action?
WoW! Real live tropical action heroines.
I wonder if they saw the donkey show?
I think you have a misspelling there my friend. It's puppets not puppies. He is a liberator of puppets worldwide.
I really wish we could deport these actors and actresses to Cuba to see if they really feel like it is a paradise after they live there for the rest of their lives. I know I won't miss them. Would anyone else here miss them?
How about insanely stupid?
Who says they are intelligent?
From their actions and words I would seriously doubt that.
Exactly. Nicholson calls it paradise – who in their right mind would want to leave paradise and one led by a genius, no less? I just don't get it…or maybe I do.
Yes, I didn't realize that the Catholic Charities were involved. I had the idea that it was a government program.
Dr. Fontova, The articles that you write showing us how these Ignorant Hollyweird people are and the terrible government of Cuba is does a great service. Thank You
I wondered about that too, but I think I like "puppies" better.
"Brilliant like a stone"
Yeah, OLIVER Stone! Yuk, yuk. How can people be so blind?
So, when J. Edgar Hoover spies on people, he's a fascist. But when a socialist dictator does it, he's a genius. Ah, those liberal double standards.
This proves to me the looniness and misguided ideals of these Hollyweird people who have nothing better to do than go down to that Communist Island of Poverty; oppression; serfdom; and numbness; and hail the Master in Charge of this 40 year old nightmare…Yup people this is what Hollywood is…it is a sewer of nonsensical left wing philosophies. These people are so empty; so immoral that they can be led to slaughter by any dictator or demagogue…They would better be served if they read some good books on how our country was founded and read the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Personally, I wish all these do gooders who gush over this dictator would give up their American citizenship; move down there and kiss the feet of their new leader! Oh, I forgot, when they have to go to a medical clinic and they see roaches in the corner of the room; dirty linens; not enough medications; will they realize they are so misguided and misinformed about Cuba's healthcare system…To me I don't go to the movies anymore…I don't watch the Oscars as these empty headed Hollyweirds have had their place in the sun and now its time to save our country.
Nah, I'd like to see the wrath of God on his hairy hide. LIke Herod the Great, who died from gangrene of the man parts. Or Arius, whose intestines evacuated in front of everyone. Or Herod Agrippa who was eaten by worms. Something so horrible that even the most avid of "Saw" movie fans would say, "Holy crap."
They actually said that? You're kidding me. That is so malignant. I've never been a fan of National Geographic because of their evolutionary angle, but CHILD PROSTITUTION? And trying to pass it off as a girl just playing dress-up? HOLY MACKERAL!
All this proves, actually, is that Castro himself isn't the brightest bulb–who many Americans (over the age of 15) are interested in or influenced by the opinions of Hollywood directors, celebrities, or fashion models? An interesting observation, too, is that those featured here appear to be in professional free-fall.
Chesterton was right–when we stop believing in God, we'll believe in anything–as this motley crue of celebrity brainiacs clearly illustrates.
As long as there are evil people in this world, they will scheme to take advantage of the rest of us whether it be in the realm of sex, money or just naked power. Of course the vacuity and childlike idiocy of the Hollywood left make them the perfect foils and willing tools of these evil people.
“Castro is a humanist. Cuba is simply a paradise!”
Naomi simply wants to live in a world where she can beat up on the help(housemaids) without any consequences.
I can no longer give these people the benefit of the doubt, their motivations are purely selfish.
I've changed my mind, they want power.
Useful idiots indeed.
Damn those facists unicorns!
Power to the pixies!
My experience has been people like these fear freedom so much, they actually crave a nanny state government to control everything, there by (at least in theory) they have no more worries about the future.
Which puts communist thug dictators on the cutting edge of the societal evolution.
The Mafia shiuld have been better "incentivised" to "get 'er done".
It's what they do – and it would have been business Fredo er, Fidel – not personal.
I think it was Henry the 8th that, post mortum, expoded from the gas build up in his coffin as the services were under way, I guess a few days, or more – unpreserved – after he died. He literally expolded from the gas build up! Dang nasty – people fled the church in horror, covered in slime and goo and horrible stench.
Now that's nasty.
I would have thought he would be more devastatingly handsome?
"Nah, but Johnny Holla, he knows these back streets like the back of his hand…"
When the Bush Administration intercepts inbound calls from known terror suspects in response to a catastrophic attack – that's HITLER like FASCISM and the OUTRAGE is palpable.
When the Obama Administration proposes interception of any cell phone call under the government's interpretation of the 4th amandment – the leftist crickets…chirp…chirp…chirp…
How do people this stupid dress themselves, feed themselves, balance their checkbooks, find their way to work in the morning..etc? Oh right. They don't. They have people for that.
Attention all con-artists out there! Here's a bunch of brain dead, gullible people with gobs of money in their wallets, who richly deserve to lose it all. Have at it! Maybe some enterprising Cubano can separate them from their lucre the next time the beautiful people are visiting that eutopia of freedom.
Castro sex tapes ! Now we know — S&M stands for socialism and Marxism.
.
…then "holster" the weapon up Raul's keister.
The Catholic Church has their fingers in a lot of Latin American countries. A couple of years ago Franciscan Friars in Syracuse were taking donations to pay bribes to smuggle families out of Cuba.
At that time they needed about $1,200 to pull it off. The great part about that story is once the Cuban got to Syracuse, he immediately started working 3 part time jobs (while learning English and attending night school) to pay it back.
The Friars decided to start a revolving fund. Once some one comes out, they repay the money, and then its used to get some one else out.
I wonder if any of the above mentioned a-listers ever bothered to talk to immigrants, much less contribute that that project?
Nice. And I just finished cleaning my last cup of coffee off my keyboard.
Agreed. One would think Castro has enough advisers to realize Hollywood elitists can't be shamed.
Stupid liberals.
The mafia was always the gang that couldn't shoot straight. Sure they bump off their own, they bribe the cops to throw Abe out the window that time. Most of their hits are of each other they know each other and kill each other. To go into a country and act like James Bond and tried to kill Castro the America public has no concept of just how inept the real mob is. Now we have them trying to kill Castro in the 60s and they got away with killing JFK but they can't kill a Cuban Dictator who has nothing compared to the police and intelligence force of the USA. This is all from watching too many films for 60 years. Even RFK thought he could get Johnny Rosselli in there to kill Castor and he ends up in a barrel in Byscanne bay. Read the real stories of the mob and understand these people were bunglers. They look great in the Godfather….. but in real life they are more like Donny Basco
As far as these insane movie stars I am convinced that the more these worthless misprints are in front of a camera they slowly lose brain cells, if that drunk Nickelson thinks Cuba is a paradise why doesn't he move there? These brain-dead film stars go down there and visit Castro and he is living in villas all these see is how the leaders and army live. They don't go into the prisons. or the real slums or the labor camps.
THose two Kennedy Brothers screwed up the Bay of Pigs by not committing air support. Castro would have been killed, Cuba free and the island a US territory.
[...] Listen to the Hollyweird elite gush with their love of the brutal communist dictator Fidel Castro, who took over a prosperous country and reduced it to a slave state so hellish that people take to shark-infested waters in inner-tubes to escape: [...]
If any of them will give up their mansions and possessions, and go to work in Fidel's sugar cane fields, then I might change my opinion of them.
Otherwise they are, as Lenin called people like that, "useful idiots".
No need to get snooty…..
or well deserved. Those people keep a dead body in that heat and King Henry was a fat pig that is a time bomb
Bring back crucifixion to these commie killers give them what they deserved.
He already has exposed himself. As a leftest stooge and useful idiot.
Saw it? Hell they were the stars of it. LOL
Remind me again why I care what millioniare Socialists/ Liberals have to say?
I keep forgetting!
It must be important because I keep reading about it……..
I share the sentiment of many posters here who wonder why these Hollywood dolts don't move to Havana to live in paradise. I am sure that Fidel would welcome them and they could build sweet villas overlooking the ocean. I am sure that everything would be just peachy until good old Uncle Fidel came to them for his cut. Share the weath, remember, Chevy? Or, as another poster said, let Chevy and his ilk work in the sugar cane fields to fully experience Cuba's workers paradise.
I notice, yet again, that none of the dimwits praising Fidel actually choose to LIVE there.
I like puppies better too, but for now I think we are stuck with these damn puppets. lol
Human Rights Violations: Cuba (for all you compassionate Hollywood Types)
http://www.hrw.org/en/reports/2009/11/18/new-cast...
Imprisonment is only one of the many tactics the Cuban government uses to repress fundamental freedoms. Dissidents who try to express their views are often beaten, arbitrarily arrested, and subjected to public acts of repudiation. The government monitors, intimidates, and threatens those it perceives as its enemies. It isolates them from their friends and neighbors and discriminates against their families.
Cuba attempts to justify this repression as a legitimate response to a US policy aimed at toppling the Castro government. It is true that the United States has a long history of intervention on the island, and its current policy explicitly aims to support a change in Cuba’s government. However, in the scores of cases Human Rights Watch examined for this report, this argument falls flat.
The reason that human rights advocate Ramón Velásquez Toranzo set out on a peaceful march across Cuba and journalist Raymundo Perdigón Brito wrote articles critical of the Castro government was not because they were agents of the US government, but rather because they saw problems with their own. Yet because these dissidents expressed their opinions openly, both were imprisoned by Raúl Castro’s government, like scores of others. Rather than being a legitimate defense against a threat to national security, these and other cases reveal a state that uses repression to enforce conformity with its political agenda.
I often think a person's name reflects more about them than they think. Like in his case, Stone. Is that descriptive of the matter between his ears or is that his physical state of mind?
Or is it both?
I think both is the answer.
Whenever I read stories about dimwitted celebrities slobbering over Castro, I always wonder what people like Gloria Estefan and Andy Garcia think. I know Maria Conchita Alonso is no fan of Chavez, to put it mildly.
I saw that one too. Thought she looked a little glum for some one dressing up and promenading with her family.
You'd think being from Hollywood would help these people recognize that everything they see and hear in Cuba is like a movie, created and scripted. They never see anything or talk to anyone that they're not supposed to.
Have they spent anytime talking to Cuban refugees or the political prisoners in jail in Cuba or the families of executed political prisoners? I doubt it.
They want the US to be socialist and they're trying to find a country where it's worked, to hold up to us as a shining example, so they ignore reality and believe what Castro tells them. Their friends might believe it, but when they start expecting the rest of the country to start buying Castro's make believe Cuba it gets nowhere.
Of course we'll never no how many of the hollywood celebs who drool over Castro are useful idiots and how many have been blackmailed. Which is the whole point of the 24/7 bugging.
And unicorns, don't forget the unicorns…..
