Shirley Sherrod Got Her Reputation Back, Who Will Apologize to Tea Party?

Let’s review:
- The Tea Party was born, causing a frightened media to drum up accusations of racism
- Later, Congressman John Lewis claims Tea Partiers shouted the “N-word” at him. The press runs with it. Breitbart posts a $100K reward for evidence. None comes.
- The NAACP creates a race-baiting resolution to smear the Tea Party.
- Breitbart responds with the Sherrod video – becoming the first conservative to use leftist tactics on the left.
- It works: the White House and the NAACP look stupid.
Moving on, from the Powerline blog, New York Times reporter Matt Bai writes this of the Tea Party movement on July 17th:
There have been scattered reports around the country of racially charged rhetoric within the [Tea Party] movement, most notably just before the vote on the new health care law last March, when Representative John Lewis, Democrat of Georgia, the legendary civil rights leader, was showered with hateful epithets outside the Capitol.
And then last Sunday, the Times ran this correction:
The Political Times column last Sunday…erroneously linked one example of a racially charged statement to the Tea Party movement. While Tea Party supporters have been connected to a number of such statements, there is no evidence that epithets reportedly directed in March at Representative John Lewis, Democrat of Georgia, outside the Capitol, came from Tea Party members.
So while the media goes nuts over Sherrod, they completely ignore the fact that the most racially charged accusation one could ever make, never happened.
What…no apologies?
See, race politics only works one way – as a method to disarm Obama critics. As the former head of the Civil Rights Commission, Mary Frances Berry said, it’s “a means of diverting attention away from other issues.” Dem pollsters Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen point out in the Wall Street Journal that while youth unemployment among whites is 23.2%, among blacks it’s nearly 40%.
Guess that’s Breitbart’s fault too. (Racist!)

The progressive libtards are running out of ammo quickly and becoming more and more desperate each day. We need to kick them where the sun don't shine in November and never, ever let our guard down again. Our liberty is at stake and losing is not an option.
You always have to play the left at their own tactics. Conservatives need to stay honest and civil, but besides that, they need to be on their level for them to understand. This includes movies, music, internet, accusations, protests, etc.
We don't need an apology. We just want them gone.
The fact that our gracious host used the Left's tactics against them was great. Especially since you know the Lefties didn't think any of us on the Right would think to borrow some moves from their playbook. Plus we keep tearing off their masks and finding the skeletons they've been hiding.
They're finally figuring out that the hornet's nest they've been poking was still alive after all, and the hornets are annoyed enough to start poking back with their stingers.
With every fact they ignore, with every story they toss down the memory whole, the liberal media makes itself more and more irrelevant.

What's funny, is the liberal media's intentions of race-baiting have been exposed in the form of the JournoList emails, but they continue to do the same thing as if nobody is on to their tricks. I love it!
Greg & Andrew. Good job of exposing the selective memory and delusional policies of the Left. America has bent over backwards to accommodate the demands of people who, in turn, refuse to accommodate us. The more we give them, the more they demand. Enough already. They can live here and learn to support themselves, but our respect is something that must be earned. If they don't want it, they won't get it, but our wallets and our hearts will stay shut.

But – it's topped off by the dire lack of newstruth covering it all.

It's not the nature of the crime but the SERIOUSNESS OF THE CHARGE. In other words, it doesn't matter whether one is guilty or not- it's the charge and the concurrent 'show trial' that means everything. It's why they SO desperately want a Stalinist show trial for Bush and Cheney so they can sit back and pontificate and generally feel superior.
That's why they love to toss terms like 'racist' around. You have to try to prove a negative; that you aren't something. That is nigh on impossible, and they know it. That's why you must not fall for their games. If someone calls you a 'racist, sexist, homophobic bigot' you simply reply:

Personally I don't mind being called a racist, or for the matter, a homophobe, misogynist, Islamophobe or any of the rest of the lame leftist insults. Sure when I was a young man it bothered me leading me to do the usual stupid responses of denying and trying to prove my innocence.
But as I grew older I came to realize that I was not any of those things. With this realization came the epiphany that by responding to these accusations I was allowing the leftist bullies to change the subject of the debate giving them the power to shut down the debate.
Now I wear the accusations with pride. Every time a lefty calls me names I know I've won. Calling people racists, homophobes, etc is a cowards way out of a debate. Laugh in their faces when they do it and watch their little heads just explode; it's better than fireworks.

Correct me if I'm wrong – but did Congressman Lewis ever actually say this? Or – and I believe this is the case – did others say this about him and on his behalf? That's one of the things that's so screwy about the accusation. John Lewis never personally said "people yelled the N word at me".

American Bolsheviks and Marxists call the Tea Party "Racist" because they don't want to use the designation "counter-revolutionaries" which might wake up a majority of Americans (many of whom voted for Obama) as to what really is going on in the USA. Does anyone listening to the invective directed at Americans who are opposed to Obama's POLICIES doubt that IF the Marxists in power thought they could get away with sending these people to Gulags, they wouldn't? Does anyone doubt if the Marxists in power believed the US Military would back them up they wouldn't already be using same to silence dissent? We just had a judge tell us that states have no rights to pass laws protecting their citizens. How powerful does that make the Federal Government. Politicians on both sides of the Left-Right spectrum want unlimited power. The difference between Dems and Republicans is the "watchdogs" (media) rat out anything the GOP tries to do along those lines — and even when they DON'T try — but aid and abet the Democrats in their quest for unlimited power. The tea party was created in response to conservative dismay when they realized that republicans in congress were neutered lap dogs of the left. As I have said, false accusations of racism from the left is an essential part of their political survival, and no amount of good behavior, tokenism, or pandering by conservatives will change that.
The only thing different today, is its not working.
I take no pleasure in stating that true conservatives are the radicals today, and we would be remiss to not consider Alinsky's Rules for Radicals as we seek to gain political power. One of his suggestions is that one pressure those in power to act according to their own rules…
Right on, Greg, but I do wish, when people discuss this issue they would say it was Rep. Carson that made the claim and on tape at that. If there is any audio or video of Lewis making the claim, I'd love to see it. It would help our campaign to have him voted out of office.
Great article. Those who propogated the false 'They called them n____s' slur ought to be at least as loud in their apologies as they were about their denunciations. And going even further into fantasyland, the guys who lied about being called n____s ought to apologize and then resign.
America is such an egalitarian country that 'racist' is one of the worst things one can be be called, so making up such an allegation to sidetrack the health care debate and discredit the people who don't support the government takeover of healthcare was just plain evil.

I don't consider what Mr. Breitbart is doing is anything at all like what modern liberals do. In fact, I consider it the exact opposite.

I learned logic learning about electronics and computer programming. Negative logic is actually pretty easy. The architecture for IBM's old PS/2 series of personal computers was based on negative logic.
Come to think of it, they didn't sell very well either, but that was for other reasons. I BM tried to copywrite every possible aspect of the computer, but by the time they came out, customers were already used to opening them up and tinkering with the parts. I think a lot of it, especially in younger people is that they are no longer taught to think things through in school so they can only argue on emotional grounds. That is unless they are smart or have someone to help them along.

We can't play by their rules, no way we can win. It's like yelling at a crying kids or a whiney persons. You look bad regardless of what they did wrong. They will only apologized when they're defeated, like spoiled kids. All we need to do is stop feeling bad and stop apologizing. They'll scream loudest just before they accept defeat.
That's rule number 1 when debating modern liberals. Frame the debate as objective, and under no circumstances allow them to divert it to subjective topics.
Do that you've painted them into a corner. The ones that refuse to stay objective, you are wasting your time with, have fun if you like to poke trolls, but don't waste time.
But the ones that do stay with the premise, those are the salvageable ones. Those, be patient, be polite, be respectful, but still be firm.

Of course. That's how you tell which ones aren't worth bothering with. Ignore them unless you like poking them, and I do so enjoy that because I know how they think. I used to be one.
At that point the only thing they're really good for is to use as an example to the other kind. Get them worked up into a froth and then ask the other ones "so this is what you think too?"
That's a very effective tool. But it can be dangerous to employ. Many on the left are very charismatic public speakers, and they can very easily turn it around based on the effectiveness of their emotional appeal.
If they can get the crowd on their side, all the logic in the world won't help you.

This walk through the crowd during the Congress's arrogant Health Care vote, against the will of the people, was intentional , blatant race baiting.
They were hoping for a big media display of racial hatred and instead they got a big media display of what the 11% Congressional approval rating looks like up close and personal and in the flesh.
