Wikileaks: Enemies of the State
by Greg GutfeldSo as you know, Wikileaks has posted a crapload of secret military reports about the Afghan war, including covert operations against Taliban figures. They claim their goal is to reveal “unethical behavior,” by the government and corporations.
On their website they write “All governments can benefit from increased scrutiny by the world community, as well as their own people.”
This is pure bullpoop, to use the scientific term.
The fact is, their goal is to only “expose” people they don’t like – meaning the United States military – and get worldwide props for it.
The head of Wikiliks, Julian Assange would argue that their role is to shine a “light on the everyday brutality …of war.” But of course, he’s sympathetic only to those we are fighting against. He says he wants to help “people who are vulnerable. And I enjoy crushing bastards.”
Can you guess who the bastards are?
Look, we don’t need him to tell us that war sucks. No one wants to see our troops or innocent civilians dead. But we fight to eradicate an evil- and in this case it’s an evil that this douchebag is helping. Remember that the U.S. doesn’t send suicide bombers into crowded restaurants, or behead journalists, or fly planes into buildings. We are waging a war against scum – and yet Julie chooses to thwart us instead.
It makes me wonder that if Julie had secret documents that harmed our enemies – would he share those? Since they don’t fit into his hit list of evil “governments and corporations,” hell no. So while his majestic, but wholly one-side strategy of transparency continues – it’s America that’s being attacked.
Secondly, whatever Julie thinks is “unethical behavior” is only unethical if you’re an idiot. For example, saying it’s a war crime to have an enemy hit list may be true if it’s at a children’s birthday party. But in war, it’s the whole point. The entire war is a hit list, you doll-haired dipwad.
But see, Julie isn’t doing this to save lives – he’s doing it for himself. He enjoys “creating systems on a grand scale, so, in the end, he gets back at daddy and reaps the accolades that come with it.
May a terrorist mistake him for a sexy goat.

This leftwing maggot should be publicly hanged. Revealing military secrets during a time of war, in such a grand manner no less, should be punishable by death. Americans should understand that treason means something and there will be serious consequences. I would have executed Johnny Jihad as well.

I agree. These documents had to have come from someone on our side (Assange has stated over and over in an effort to save his own ass that it's not him stealing the documents, he merely posts them) and that person or persons should be prosecuted.
I don't buy Assange's "the truth must be revealed" stuff one bit. It's clear he has an axe to grind with the USA, and he is trying everything he can to make us look like we're the only enemy the world has.
Hey I know we'll make a deal with Julian Assange. If he will spend a month in the SWAT region of Pakistan where he has to at least five times daily right after the prayers tell everyone around his political views, make known his religious beliefs or lack thereof and especially his view point on same gender sexuality.
IF he can do this and not get beheaded then well maybe we'll consider dropping the treason charges…..

I remember a story from years ago where an American teenage snot-nosed punk was arrested in Singapore for vandalism. But the guy who did the leaking is indeed an American and was recently busted, yes? He'll just disappear into the system most likely. I don't trust that Obama is really all that bothered by this. The actual non-explosiveness of the leaks leads me to think it's possible this is a means to a different end. A crack down on speech on the internet?

I had a gut reaction (no pun intended) against this guy the minute I heard the story. For one thing, the guy just looks like a limp-wristed, effete snob. For another, due to practically the entire previous decade, when anyone starts making high-toned remarks anymore about civil liberties and "the need to shed light on the military," I just want to punch them in the face. And that's what's happening here.
The sanctimony emanating from this guy is just appalling. In his warped view of the world, the true heroes of the world aren't the soldiers who sacrifice in blood and sweat to keep those at home safe (especially not American soldiers), but the "journalists" who expose all sorts of things best left secret as a way to fame and fortune. I'll bet this twerp entered his manhood (if you can call it that) watching "The Pelican Brief" and "Erin Brockovich" over and over again and thinking that's the way the world really works. Fact is, were the people he's aiding actually win, he'd be the first one lined up against the wall.

I'm not sure this is a ploy by the Administration to shut down the Internet. Re your comment on what's actually in the material, I think it was said yesterday that Julie what's-his-face had more documents he wasn't able to release just yet, due to a lack of permission from his source. Presumably, these actually could be damaging. And even if they aren't, officials have said that with access to all this material, terrorists could still learn about our intelligence-gathering methods, which could cripple the whole operation. Not a good thing.
Also, when was the last time you saw Obama really "bothered" about anything? I'm sorry, but either the man is incapable of negative emotion or he believes showing it will make him look less presidential–which is really all he cares about, it would seem.

What really burns me is that this guy isn't fit to carry water for our soldiers. I actually spent the day yesterday at the Fresno Air National Guard base. The awesome (and might I say good looking) young men there took my family on a tour of the base. We got to see the jets take off from the tarmac and play with the flight simulator and they do this for the public all the time. The Fresno Mom's Club was there yesterday too. Not only are our soldiers incredibly hard working men and women of honor, they have more class in their pinky fingers than these p.o.s. lefties could ever conceive of.
