Daily Gut: No Real Surprises From JournoList Race-Baiting
by Greg GutfeldSo last month we told you about “JournoList,” a private email group of liberal journalists who secretly conspired to promote a progressive pro-Obama agenda. Once this group was exposed – it was disbanded.
But now Tucker Carlson and the Daily Caller have the emails, some revealing a plot by the hacks to kill the Jeremiah Wright story during the 2008 primaries – and also to smear anyone who criticizes Obama. The smear, of course, would be an accusation of racism.

Here’s one email from a a sad little finger-sniffer named Spencer Ackerman, which explains nearly 99 percent of all the crap you’re seeing right now targeting the Tea Party. He writes:
If the right forces us all to either defend Wright or tear him down, no matter what we choose, we lose the game they’ve put upon us. Instead, take one of them – Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares – and call them racists. Ask: why do they have such a deep-seated problem with a black politician who unites the country? What lurks behind those problems? This makes *them* sputter with rage, which in turn leads to overreaction and self-destruction.
Now, I guess this a bombshell: proof that lefties in the media engage in deliberate, dishonest destruction of reputations in order to further their own political aims.
But here’s the real moral: the same libs who said Obama was going to lead us into a new post racial world, are pretty much the same creeps fanning a racial division. Ackerman, a faux tough guy typing from his hidey hole, realizes that without the accusation of race, he’s got nothing to shield an incontinent ideology.
He’s what you’d call a real, honest-to-God race-monger. Which makes you wonder, why does he lack so much confidence in his own leader? Why does he have such a deep-seated problem with a black politician who unites the country? What lurks behind those problems?
Maybe he’s racist.

Finally some proof about the left wing media conspiracy. Don't expect anything to change, though. I would expect the Pravda media to increase the intensity of their attack machine, either racial, or otherwise on those who don't share their ideology. The Pravda media, has for a long time, been the enemy within our Republic.
Always glad to see Diana Falzone on the show tonight, she's one of my favorites.
This will be treated just like the global warming e-mails and the conspiracy that they exposed:
1. The media will ignore them, and…
2. When the left does address the issue they will claim that the e-mails are being taken out of context, and finally…
3. If forced to investigate the scandal, the inquiry will exonerate the "journalists."
Same old same; nothing to see here folks, just move along, nothing to see.
I'm glad there is now some proof of the collusion to defend and promote their ideology, although any one with a brain knew this was going on. I'm sure there is tons of stuff we will never see and this stuff is just the tip of the iceberg.
It's very disturbing learning how these "journalists" and other liberals think. The way they portray us as racist, while race is the defining issue of who someone is to them, and not to us, is classic projection.

So from what I've learned, journalists are big followers of Saul Alinsky. Do they have to take a course during their undergrad so that they'll know how to unite and discredit any body that doesn't agree with them? Tucker needs to write a book or turn this information over so that those that care about this country will know which journalists participated in this abomination. I have little doubt that upon repeated exposure, they will still not see the fascists starring back at them in the mirror. Theirs is a fanatical ideology of dictatorship, slavery, hatred, envy and narcissism – but also of great naivete and hypocrisy, because they would be the first to shriek and stomp their feet if ever they were forced to live in the kind of political system they so zealously endorse. What I find absolutely fascinating is these folk on journolist are oblivious to their own hypocrisy, or are more than aware and just don't care. Hayes said of the Wright dust-up “It has everything to do with the attempts of the right to maintain control of the country.”
What They're exercised about is that they think the Republicans are pursuing an ends-justify-the-means strategy to bruise Obama and help elect a Republican. (It's beside the point that they're obviously in business to elect Republicans, and that they'd be negligent if they didn't point out things they think are interesting to the voting public, embarrassing potential opponents is icing on the cake.)
He then goes on to promote creating, from whole cloth, racism smears (the means) to stymie the right and get Obama elected (the ends). And most damning of all, ONLY ONE PERSON OBJECTS TO IT in those terms. One other, in a weak-tea criticism, actually exposes her ends-justify-the-means silence during the Clinton "bimbo eruptions". She doesn't dispute it directly, just basically says it's a bummer to compromise her principles. He responds: “But what I like less is being governed by racists and warmongers and criminals.” So his mind is made up do whatever it takes, lie or truth, right or wrong.
I suppose if you can't be forthright and win, you can at least win.

Responding to race-baiting lies is one of the things that keeps the republicans weak and off-message. It will be generations, if ever, that blacks stop thinking that conservatism is racism. Conservatives should focus on what they stand for rather than spending time trying to prove a negative.
The big lie is essential for democratic survival, and no amout of tokenism and rational discourse will dislodge the Big Lie from the sheeple's minds.
Equality and removal of government subsidies is deeply offensive to many interest groups, and they will never be won over–ony defeated at the polls if conservatives are lucky.

They are not only irrelevant they are dishonest. Back in the 1980s I caught on that they were not accurately reporting the news. Like Bernie Goldberg I thought at first that they didn't realize how their biases were affecting their reportage. People often don't realize how their personal viewpoints might skew their versions of events.
Over the next two decades however I began having a harder and harder time buying that and began to suspect that they were willfully slanting their coverage to make conservatives look bad and liberals look good. Finally during the 2008 presidential campaigns I became convinced that they were doing it deliberately. These e-mail prove it and are the final nail in the coffin of the MSM.

I caught on 20 years earlier than that, HoosierHistorian. I began to "get it" when Walter Cronkite reported that the 1968 Tet Offensive was a 'victory" for the VC–a "victory" during which they lost 60% of their fighters, took NO ground, won NO battles and inflicted minimal casualties on American and S. Vietnamese forces. I began to look closer after that and discovered that "reporters" were NEVER reporting on the atrocities commited by the communists…not ever. I once asked a UPI reporter in Vietnam why not and he replied, "Oh, that sort of thing happens all the time over here. It's only news if its a RARE event!"
I know what you are talking about. I was 5 at the time but got an earful about it later. Cronkite was a disgrace to his profession and to his nation.
Think about it a minute. Journalism, Entertainment, Education and "Government Service" ALL pay pretty well with little or no actual labor and give them the opportunity to "make a difference" while remaining more or less anonymous. Where else would the 60's radicals go after their government education grants run out, or Mommy and Daddy finally put their feet down and say, "No more!"?

Those are the facts. It's a small group of no-name journalists. I know you're wishing that there was this big conspiracy to blame for the rejection of conservative values, but there isn't one. This whole liberal media conspiracy is a fabrication of right-wing radio. News is generally corporate-based, with an eye for ratings. Didn't you notice that how at one time, nearly the entire prime-time lineup at MSNBC used to be conservative, now it's liberal?
