Daily Gut: What’s Eric Holder Hiding?
by Greg GutfeldSo the big news this week? Charlie Sheen entering “prehab,” which I guess is like rehab, except for preteens. I don’t know…. if you ask me, it’s not Sheen who needs therapy for an addiction, it’s Eric Holder.
Fact is, he’s hooked on something far worse than coke or speed. It’s lawyers who defend terrorists.

This addiction – rooted in his bedrock belief that America is to blame for everything, including his mustache – would be fairly harmless if it were held by a nobody – like say, a Daily Kos blogger. I mean, that’s just a harmless sap stuck in the attic taking turns trying on grandma’s underwear. Nope, this junkie is in the White House, and by the looks of it, someone better call Dr. Drew because Holder’s using on the job.
You wanna know how bad it’s gotten? The New York Times, of all places, reported that Rahm Emanuel even proposed “hiring a minder” for Holder – much in the way a band manager might do for a heroin-addicted lead singer. Minders generally keep you from missing a gig; in this case the minder was meant to keep Holder out.
But still, the addiction is in full force. If you look at his department, it’s full of lawyers who defend our enemies.
As the New York Post reports, last November, Republican Sen. Charles Grassley demanded to know how many Justice Department lawyers previously defended terrorist-detainees. Finally, Holder confessed. Among the nine (!), there was Principal Deputy Solicitor General Neal Katyal, who defended Osama bin Laden’s driver, and Jennifer Daskal, the “detainee point-person for Human Rights Watch.” If you don’t know what HRW is, it’s no wonder. They only care about the rights of creeps who want to take your rights away.
Anyway, Holder won’t ID the other seven. Which is natural for an addict. You gotta hide your stash to the very end. Even if it ultimately leads to your own ruin.
And if you disagree with me, you’re worse than a racist Nazi who wears fur to a cockfight.

Greg,
That is really funny!
"The New York Times, of all places, reported that Rahm Emanuel even proposed “hiring a minder” for Holder "
Think back, Saddam Hussein had a whole cadre of "minders". Baghdad Bob even "minded" the "minders".
Nine years after 9/11 and this is who we've allowed to be in charge. . . .
Eric Holder, man with a mission(surreptitious).
Do they really think we won't have names and faces in short order?
When you think about it, that shows you just how terrible the Republicans were when they were in power. Hopefully the time away will lead to better management when they get power again around 2012.
It is pathetic that our AGs only job of trust was holding Janet Reno's purse while she was trying on foundation garments, and then I'm sure he took a peek inside.
They discount us, and reject us. WE, are the Great Unwashed.
So, by this argument, if someone defends a murder suspect in a trial, therefore they are sympathetic to murder?
The point of the American system of Justice is that everyone, no matter how heinous their crime that they are accused of, is entitled to a fair and impartial trial. If you take that away, then we simply have kangaroo courts and arbitrary justice.
Of course, under the military tribunal system some of you are so enamored of, the defendants still get to have lawyers.
This is about like staffing the Organized Crime Division with former Mob lawyers.
Of course, Holder may be doing that too….
saddam didn't have a cadre of minders, he assigned them. Baghdad Bob's lucky saddam was busy hiding or else he would have gone down too.
Very true. This appeared to be a better alternative.
Hey, I wash.
Sometimes.
With lotion.
Holder proved what he was all about during this little interchange with Judge Napolitano:
Napolitano: Tell me, Mr. Holder, why did you not get a court order authorizing you to go in and get the boy?
Holder: Because we didn't need a court order. INS can do this on its own.
Napolitano: You know that a court order would have given you the cloak of respectability to have seized the boy.
Holder: We didn't need an order.
Napolitano: Then why did you ask the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for such an order if you didn't need one?
Holder: [Silence]
Napolitano: The fact is, for the first time in history you have taken a child from his residence at gunpoint to enforce your custody position, even though you did not have an order authorizing it.
Eric Holder and Elian Gonzalez.
I miss Baghdad Bob –
"We have them surrounded in their tanks"
"We blocked them inside the city. Their rear is blocked"
"Nine years after 9/11 and this is who we've allowed to be in charge. . . " This is what happens when a civically illerate populace is encouraged to vote. And by vote, I mean confiscate the wealth of others. Does anyone have any lotion?
I can always count on the folks at big hollywood for a good laugh to brighten my day.
Holder is a little boy doing a mans job. He does what his warped sense of justice tells him to do, and that amounts to trying KSM in NY, and apparently recruiting the defenders of terrorists. I don't understand this midset, nor will I ever, so I would like to see this fellow fired because he is not doing the will of the people, which is a common trend in this administration.
Hush! If he isn't already, you'll give him ideas.
Illiterate populace is too kind. What we have here is, the masses are asses. Anyone who does not pay taxes should not be allowed to vote.
Not in the same studio, but S.E. Cupp and the Ozz still on the same Red-Eye??? Be still my beating bat wing…
The sad part is that most of the lawyers in the Justice Department are old pros who may have their own political views, but do their job as they are supposed to. It's the amateurs, the highly-politicized shysters, and the lackeys looking for favors that Obama has appointed and that Holder supports who are ruining the Justice Department. The pros got judgments against the Black Panthers in the voter intimidation cases, and the Obama/Holder politicized amateurs who were put in charge dismissed the cases, then sent the lead attorney into exile. The amateurs went after John Yoo for his memos to Bush, and the amateurs who decided to persecute him. After getting their butts kicked, the amateurs caved in and took the advice of the old pros, who had said "don't do this in the first place."
[ Eli's Hammer ] Holder is not really the man I'd pick for the job. I'd pick Barney Frank to both interrogate and prosecute terrorists. Barney could give the Islamist Right Winger an "Offer (you) can't refuse!" No more waterboarding, no more Mossad cattle prods to the head…just the loving touch of a caring and sensitive in–TERROR–gator. Panty bombers world wide be giving up their mommas!
Frank could invite Glenn Beck to assist…Glenn being of a sensitive nature as well. Good food, good times and good T.E.A.bagging. bunp-as-da-bump-da-da-bump.
[ Elis Hammer ]
Holder is a dangerous dude. Obsessed with his own self importance and misguided policies of mirandizing foreign terrorists only shows his disconnect with the real world. Eventually, he will get innocent Americans killed. I would disallow a "minder" for this guy and opt instead, for a charge of treason, trial, and long term incarceration.
hey do not forget all the dead who voted, or the guy on MSM election day who bragged about voting twice
no he would not do that, Mob guys are not an poor, oppressed minority bent on world domination. So they get no help from the Obama Administration.
spot on, Hawk…
Don't be such a stranger. There is a need for adult supervision here and we've got our hands full…
Anyway, Holder and company does give new meaning to the term 'dilletante'- unless it's knowingly corrupt.
Haven't figured that out- yet.
What's your take?
If you miss Baghdad Bob, dont worry he works for MSNBC now.
Dont worry, the snow is because of global warming.
Jobs are the number one priority of this adminsitration
He will not raise taxes on middle america.
What is Eric Holder hiding?
How about starting with that dirty little secret most all media personalities seem to "pee in their pants" about…
how many lawyers work under Holder and are assigned the job to make sure there are no court hearings or any form of legal discovery involving OBAMA and his life pre-2008 election?
Seems like these bozos would realize that they are susceptible to being investigated just like they threaten to investigate Bush's team. When the whole administration is filled with no one but affirmative action hires and
Chicago gangsters, they had better watch their step. We are watching them squirm now; wait two more years. Maybe we will be able to see some of the messiah and company's records before he attempts to run again. Maybe Chicago doesn't mind being run by gangsters, but I don't think the American people like it at all.
PS Do they have a minder for Biden too?
is there any other kind for proud supporter of the oppressed working man. I think he is Obermans script writer now.
Thanks. I really do wish I had more time to spend here, but our own blog has been keeping us extremely busy these days.
My personal opinion of the Obama/Holder appointments is that they are purely political without the smarts, training and common sense necessary to run a department properly (or at least, cleverly). They are so poor at what they do that it keeps coming back to bite them. The dismissal in the Black Panthers cases had no basis in law, and was therefore entirely political. And the persecution of Yoo was not only political, but they couldn't get their legal ducks lined up in a row and made complete fools of themselves. Those are just two out of a myriad of bad political and worse legal decisions these whiz kids have made in a little over a year. I can't even bring up sufficient graciousness to call them "talented amateurs." Ergo, dilettantes. As for corruption, I can't say. But a fish rots from the head down, so I can guess.
Has anybody seen Holder and Stedman Graham in the same room at the same time? I think they might actually be the same person.
Is that's a pack of quarters in your pocket or are you just happy to see ACORN, Eric?
well, that fish is stinkin' to high heaven…
And dilletant is being kind. What is seen here is a deliberate attempt to do what they decried Bush for- and that's a thorough politicization of the Justice Department to advance whatever the agenda of the day is.
Besides, Holder has always got the Marc Rich thingie hanging around his scrawny neck…
LHSF: How do you survive in SF? I live here in SF and recently came out to my family. There was chatter some years ago when I joined the USMC. They did not confront me. Don't ask, Dont tell. I am dead to some of them. The rest will only communicate with me only via e-mail. I do feel that a great weight has been llifted from my shoulders and I am looking foward to a brighter day. There is an actual conservative community here in the City. We meet every other tuesday during lunchtime at Landsend park. SFPD assumes we are gay cruisers and leave us alone. I call it hiding in plain sight. I will be the guy with the red bandana in my left rear pocket. Hope to see you there.
What is Eric Holder hiding? Just 6 months of recordings that clearly demonstrate an iron clad case for articles of impeachment against President Obama. Nothing big. But when we take Congress those tapes will become the property of the public and we will use them.
Ain't that the truth? It's what we call the tu quoque argument. It's the snob's version of "so's your old man," or "I know I am, but what are you." They believe it's OK to do what they claimed Bush did. Those appointments to Justice are always somewhat political, but they usually bring along with them a sense of professionalism. Not this time.
Sadly, I'm not sure anymore how many people even remember the March Rich pardon scandal, or care. They should, but the public's attention span has too often been about six months. Mark Rich–that's ancient history, they think. The concept of continuity of thought combined with past and current deeds seems to have slipped from the public ken.
I think Holder's behind the Gloria Allred/Joslyn James apology demand.
What are you hiding Holder? Is it another Marc Rich pardon type deal.? We need to know who the 9 lawyers are and who they defended. Come on, that can't be that hard Holder.
Jimmy: I think I survive because I first came to San Francisco at a time when tolerance actually meant something, even for us heterosexuals. The best bars, clubs, and hangouts were "mixed." Gays weren't busy hating "breeders," and straights weren't busy bashing "fags." The fringe is always with us, but basically young people all got along just fine without the "us against them" mentality. Sorry to hear you've experience family problems. To give you an idea of how it should be, I had to do the eulogy for one of my very closest friends a couple years back. He was on the opposite side of almost every issue I was on, he was gay, I'm straight. It didn't matter. We met in college, and became lifelong friends. I support domestic partnerships and oppose gay marriage. He opposed both. Still, he was at times a better father to my kids than I was . He had his life, I had mine, and we had our friendship. I'll miss him forever, and that's the way it should be. Too bad it isn't. I know it's probably hard for you to believe since you're still young, but the SFPD today largely has a much more "live and let live" attitude than they did in the 60s and 70s. It was very ugly back then.
I can't wait till this muppety a-hole and his big eared boss are out of our lives. We all know Obama hates America, i.e., Christians and Jews, so we shouldn't be surprised by his compatirots like-mindedness.
PS: My friend was a Marine, and he had made sure in advance that he was buried in his uniform. I was an anti-Vietnam War radical, who has come to love and respect our military. He hated that he had to hide his sexuality (completely, in those days). I don't know how he did it, but somehow he did, but by the time I met him, it was all behind him, and we just enjoyed the freedom of living in free-loving San Francisco. It's just not that way anymore.
too true…
But the Rich thing is the most onerous, ugly, even evil thing Clinton- and Holder- ever did. Beats the Puerto Rican terrorist thing, and Monica doesn't even register on this scale. A really bad guy whose wife anteed up millions to the Clintons- and Holder did his bidding.
That he was pardoned is a joke to this day. But, the MSM didn't like the story- wrong bad guys-
and it is relegated to the dustbin of history…
Aw, leave the poor guy alone, he's only doing what he's told! Wait, anyone hear a bus…?
It could not be that hard. They would be attorneys who worked for his former firm but are no longer there because they now work at DOJ.

If the Attorney Genital goes out, I wonder who would replace him?
Eli is gone, seems he got carried away by his wit.
My relatives in the City are Union Members and are hurt by my politics. When you graduate from HS and join a labor union that is all you know. Culturally, however we are Catholic and very conservative. Cognitive dissonance — Catholics voting for party of Abortion. My cousins from the posh suburbs were brainwashed in college. I love them, but the cliche's get tedious. Hearing about the oppression of women from a graduate of Santa Clara University rings hollow. My uncle was SFPD. My cousins were SDI out in the Sunset. I am from Visitation Valley. We had a differnet red-blue conflice. Norte vs Sur. Red is always the color of the outsider, the underdog.
Holder needed to balance out those career justice wacko's that weren't trying to put CIA operatives in prison – now he feels at home with birds of the same feather. What a creep. Obama's pathetic for even associating with someone like this. What an azz clown.
Oh people of America! The White House needs a HUGE enema—a really big one.
We need to flush out all the feces there. And then the Congress (we are going to need a really big enema bag).
Amazing how we can live in The City and have such different backgrounds. I'll bore those who know me here with a short bio. Born in Chicago, raised in a suburb of Los Angeles, up to UC Berkeley for college. Fell in love with SF in the early 60s. Saul Alinsky civil rights agitator in the deep South. Got married, back to LA then Ventura County for family and practice. Always vowed to come back to SF someday, and after the divorce in 1990, I did. Lutheran conservative Republican father, moderate Democrat Catholic mother. Strong political opinions tempered with immense tolerance for opposing views and people who "weren't like us." I never had the gang experience, nor did I live anywhere where they had gangs, and though I lived for awhile in the Tenderloin after the divorce, I quickly moved to lower Nob Hill where I've been living ever since. I was very fortunate not to have gone through the family crises that you have, though my dad died when I was in fifteen, and in those days, it meant I was suddenly the head of the family. My only conflict was being strongly anti-Vietnam war, but came from a family with a strong military tradition. But my family was always supportive, even when I ran completely against their very middle-class Americanism. I regret that they both died before I had my epiphany. You seem to have become a strong, self-reliant man, and considering what you've told me here, you are to be much commended. Most of my problems were self-created.
Yeah, but who's really, really tight with Rahm and Axelrod's Chicago Machine? It ain't the Sisters of Mercy.
I would feel better if they were honest lawyers didn't have names like Muhammad… or John Edwards.
.
Really? And here I thought he was the White House Press Secretary.
And I hope some of those "old pros" are keeping secret files that will start being leaked once the political climate changes. I look forward to endless RICO investigations, grand juries, and many "political shyster" convictions.
RRR: I am quite sure they are keeping good records. The pros won't do the banana republic political persecutions that the Democrats have been doing, but I think there may be corruption that will ultimately lead to legitimate prosecutions. We're better people than they are, but we're not going to continue to be saps about genuine wrongdoing on their part come the Republican administration.
dimes maybe?
Very well said LHSF, I agree 'we're better people than they are' without a doubt. I am just tired of having to play defense constantly because of it. To be labeled racist or extreme due to a desire to see truth and integrity restored, is exhausting!
OCG: I think we're pretty much all fed up with that nonsense. The left will never change, but this time the epithets are failing among the most important groups for the next election–the independents and moderates. Even non-conservatives are looking at the buzzwords and saying "yeah, we've heard that all before, and we still don't see any proof." The Garofalos and Olbermanns of the left are playing to their own limited choir. Remember the quote: "The definition of a racist is anyone who is winning an argument with a liberal."
Hello,
With all due respect this man is part of a law-firm that has as clients you guessed it the terrorist that have caused so much damage to this nation, and most of them are the ones that are in Cuba as we speak. So go figure out which side they are on. Maybe some of you might now like the last President, but one thing he said still sticks out in my mind like a sore thumb. "YOU ARE EITHER WITH US, OR YOU ARE WITH THEM". Ladies and Gentlemen try and guess which side Eric Holder seems to be on.
Thanks,
Larry D. Crumbley
i beleive mcCain should win this contest but he just thrashed Birthers and that might very well be his demise in the race. Birthers are behind Palin who supports mcCain so for him to come out and thrash them means they will now turn on him. if you are out of the teaparty realm you can kiss your seat goodbye… so g'bye mcCain. i want you to win but my intellect did the math and you are now history.
CLOSE TIES TO RADICAL GROUP
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pag...
So far Holder owns up to 9 of these terrorist loving lawyers at Justice. But he'll only name 2. I guess the other 7 are "mine, and they're spectacular."
The only thing he ever said, while he was her Charge de Affaire and errand boy lackey, was : "Steady as She goes"……..
Pardon the pun, and double entendre.
No pardon required.
"…he works for MSNBC now"
union job?
[ Eli's Hammer ] Remember the Freepers? They come out like vampire lemmings to feast on America when she is weakened by Republican / Conservative Free Booters. Today, as in the mid-nineties, they congeal and mass-whine, while sucking the air from all life. Tea-Freepers. I know the brand. Freepers of the world Untied…'er unite.
That's exactly how people are devining the "Dirty Dozen" or eight or nine.
Freedom of info requests into who has flown in and out of GITMO would be interesting –
kind of creepily like "A Few Good Men" but illustrative non the less.
After I got out of the Marines I lived in L.A. for a couple of years — Highland Park. Family emergency brought me back here. Within the next year I expect to move back down there. Did you know the famous Alinsky? You really looked into the belly of the beast. Hillary Clinton wrote her thesis on him. Obama was an indirect acolyte.
[Eli's Hammer]
You forgot to close.
What is Eric Holder hiding? Hmmmm. My question would be: What is Holder HOLDING!
well, er… that says it all, no one need look further than that article.
Thanks to the poster.
Eric Holder is the ENEMY. He believes that AMERICA is the problem in the world. Obama is covering up the Ft. Hood Massacre. He is also covering up the Detroit Bomber. Obama is on the wrong side of History. Obama has met with Terrorists Sympathizers in the White House. Sympathaizers of Hamas, [Code Pink], have met with Obama. Recently this group tried to enter Gaza, to show support for the killing of Israeli citizens. Bill Ayers was amoung this group to try and enter Gaza. What's the difference with meeting Terrorists, and Terrorists Sympathizers? NOTHING. OBAMA is a TERRORIST SYMPATHIZER.
Very funny writing Greg, as usual!
My question is 'why does his voice sound like a 12 year old boy'?
Does he really believe the names won't come out – please somebody tell me he isn't THAT dense ~
Just think if we got Mrs.Saddam and made her "sing",and how Jordan was "gifted" w/her and her dowry.(hardware)
I think he was "gone" before he ever found this site!
What's Eric Holder hiding? Perhaps whether or not he and Oprah will ever marry.
I can't really say I knew him. I met him a few times as part of a much larger contingent. Once with a group from San Francisco, and another time when I snuck into a meeting of the Chicago groups. I was a very low-level operative, I assure you. I'm much prouder of the fact that I met Martin Luther King, Jr. during the same period.
more like pissed away than carried away
My question is, What is Holder HOLDING!
A vagina?
Great quote, and so darn true!
Me knuckldragger caveman.. me no wash..
and me STILL hate Geiko
