And so we have Hugo Chavez, the pockmarked prince of all things petulant – paying a visit to the Climate Change conference to rousing, delirious applause. Check out the human sausage below.
In sum, Chavez is all about ending “imperial dictatorships,” and that “capitalism is the road to hell.” He says, “Let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.”
He also said he liked to have sex with goats while Sean Penn watched, but I may have gotten that translation wrong.
Anyway, according to the Herald Sun, all of this was greeted with a standing ovation. And Hugo deserves it – for he’s exposing this crap fest for what it is: a massive transfer of wealth from the west to scumbags like him.
But Chavez wasn’t the only one to lecture America on how evil we are. There was Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe, who noted that as “these capitalist gods of carbon…belch their dangerous emissions,” it’s “the lesser mortals of the developing sphere” who die. Yeah, we’re the murderers. Not Mugabe – who delighted in the torture, starvation and killing of his own people, for years.
This would all be hilarious if these creeps didn’t have our own leaders on their side. Witness secretary of State Hillary Clinton announcing that our country is ready to create an annual $100 billion climate protection fund to help “address the climate change needs of developing countries.”
Where will this money come from?
Well, Hillary wouldn’t say – but she didn’t have to. There’s only one place it can come from – you. And that’s why the Chavez’s and the Mugabe’s of the world love climate change hysteria so much. To the world’s thugs, thieves and murderers, the US becomes that fat tourist in his favorite vacation hat, jingling his change on a street corner.
Easy pickings.

I can't believe you'd refer to Hugo Chavez as a "human sausage". That's insulting to humans AND sausages!
Marxism provided a justification for tyrants in a 20th century, where the world was supposedly opposed to aristocratic/monarchic rule. Now, global warming and environmentalism is providing the same cover for tyrants of the 21st century live in a world where nations are supposedly opposed to nationalism, and exceptions to democracy are excused by much larger humanitarian concerns.

What we are witnessing with bailouts, nationalization of industries and this AGW scam is the greatest monetary theft- stolen from the American middle class- that the world has ever seen.

I agree Ed, we need to fight the good fight. But in response to your first sentence, even democracies have traitors that deserve to be hanged. It's one thing to have civil disagreements, it's a whole other matter when you have a segment of the population that wants to do away with the Constitution and impose a socialist tyranny on a nation that was born out of rebellion to that notion.

To be honest, I haven't seen a whole lot of evidence that the GOP isn't trying to do the same thing. Bush was not exactly a constitutional loving, fiscally conservative, limited government conservative.

I don't think we're talking socialism here. This administration is full of Marxists. No good intentions there at all. I believe that this has all been very carefully and patiently orchestrated over the past 4 or 5 decades. Think of the spider that spends hours weaving its web, then waits for its victims. How is it that we have 100 billion dollars to dole out. Is there no end? I saw some Republican say something along the lines that we are borrowing money from the Chinese so that we can give it back to them to curb carbon emissions. I assume we will still have to pay back the original amount we got from the Chinese in the first place. This makes economic sense to somebody I guess. Food may very well become our currency, stock up everyone, the bottom is going to fall out.

Indeed Mugabe should be ostracized by the world. He SHOULD be regarded as responsible for a holocaust much the way Hitler was responsible for one. What happened in Zimbabwe was no different. Why does Mugabe get a pass? Because he does not invade other countries? As soon as he landed, he should have been arrested and tried as a mass murderer and executed. Forget diplomatic immunity. Would we have given it to Hitler? Diplomats are not the same as leaders. The leaders should have to answer for their crimes. That's how you win wars and secure peace.
America could use a Conservative President in Putin's mold; an unabashed patriot who plays hardball when it comes to his nations interests. And he's not afraid to remind the cowards of Western Europe that they're at his mercy over energy. The European environmental anarchists put themselves in this position. If Chavez disrespected Russia the way he did America and President Bush, Vladimir Putin would have knocked him out on the international stage.

There was, however, a politician–a Democratic politician, I might add–who openly preached the repudiation of the Lincoln administration and a peaceful settlement with the Confederate States, and who was arrested and exiled to Canada. That provided part of the basis for a fictional novel about a man who spent years on board a ship because no country would take him. Obviously, that doesn't change the point of your post, just thought I'd clear that point up.

I usually use the term statist to lump them all together under the heading of people who want to use the implied threat of government force to live as they think is proper.
