Daily Gut: Left Won’t Let Facts Get In the Way of Global Warming
by Greg GutfeldSo last week I told you about the scandal at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit. There a hacker revealed confidential emails exposing attempts by global warming apostles to manipulate embarrassing info that countered their warming claims.
These emails have been called “the nail in the coffin” of global warming hysteria.
I wish that were true.
Check out the sites where the Chicken Little`s still thrive. About the hacked emails, The Huffington Post says “this criminal activity has created fodder for right-wing groups to promote their own agenda that global warming is not real.” And, after admitting he was “deeply shaken” by the emails, a Guardian columnist adds that “To bury man-made climate change, a far wider conspiracy would have to be revealed.”
Really?
For fun: imagine if these leaked emails weren’t about global warming, but Gitmo. Or Dick Cheney. Or Sarah Palin’s private life. How fast would Time, Newsweek, and an intensely sweaty Andrew Sullivan be all over them – calling these emails corruption of the highest order?
But they can’t do this here. Because the lie is the lie that the media believed in. It’s their Watergate – so it’s no wonder there’s no “Woodward and Bernstein” to bring it down.
So, where does this leave Al Gore? He’s got his hands all over this leafy Ponzi scheme, and he stands to make buttloads of money off propagated fear. Something tells me he won’t be discussing these emails in Copenhagen. Because as long as the sky keeps falling, his bank account keeps rising.

Nice observation Greg on the ever-increasing hypocrisy of the Left. I don't even care that much about the content of these emails. The mere fact that something like this would be used to absolutely bludgeon conservatives and any of their causes but goes virtually unreported by the MSM because it is a Liberal cause makes me furious.
Eh, we all know that the jokers over at the HuffPo are all about the double standard…. it's only ok if THEY do it, but it's evil and morally wrong if someone else does it…. :-/

Now that the truth has been revealed, if any politician votes for cap & trade should face criminal charges. All but the truly braindead Pollyanna's among us knew this was a hoax on par with crop circles, unfortunately many that call themselves scientists -these are the bottom feeders of the scientific community- sold out their credibility and integrity for funding, with no concern of the consequences their manipulated data would cause at the hands of traitors such as Al Gore.

Al Gore was in Chicago today and cancelled his interview with the chicago tribune. He also did not take any questions from the press during their 5 minute meet and greet. He's hiding and trying to formulate his new lies.

On a talk show they were laughing at the climate hacks being exposed by computer hacks and someone called in with a stupid green story. At some store they’re apparently selling some eco-friendly, Al Gore endorsed, unicorn and hippie approved light bulb made of many LED’s, which is selling for $70. My first thought was the quote, “no man has ever gone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people”, specifically democrats, liberals, progressives, sloths, socialists, communists.
Only an obama voter would pay $70 for a light bulb. The greatest irony of all? Much more energy and material is used to create one of these “green” bulbs than is used to create probably a dozen regular ones.
Green has become synonymous with stupid.
This news is a very 'Inconvenient Truth''. The sky is NOT falling Big AL. Back to your underground bunker for more 'ideas' of how to stay in the limelight.
The environmentalists should be livid. Their moral highground of saving the planet, their mission has been hijacked by the marxists, just like Al Qaida hijacked the muslim faith. Van Jones said it best when he explained his vision of using the greem movement to advance his goal of social justice and marxism. If I were one of those 'elf' characters I would be looking to take out these pretenders who set my movement back a decade. A black day for the greens.

When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”.

In the 70's the world was concerned about global cooling and costly laws were passed that hampered business, the economy and our well being to the benefit of a few who trumpeted the data (at that time) and reaped hugh profits from their chicken little screams.
Fast forward to 1990's when Al Gore lost the presidency and cried like a baby until he jumped on the coatails of flawed science that produced the global warming hysteria. He was an instant cult hero and despite the flawed logic and ACTUAL weather patterns, he loved the attention and in his narcacisstic way thought he was some savior to the world. He invested heavily in green technology and stands to make millions upon millions if he can fool the world to his way of thinking.
The cat is now out of the bag and the whole global warming thing is a fraud. Does that stop this guy. No, of course not because now it is not all about him. He will do ANYTHING to save face.
An Obama voter would buy the light bulb while the US taxpayers would subsidize the true cost of the lightbulb made by GE and promoted on NBC/MSNBC shows.

I knew it was all a scam when we learned that the solutions for "global warming" were coincidentally the same socialist schemes the left has been trying to foist on us since before climate change was ever an issue.
I lived through it, Scientists knew for certain that by 2000, 65% of the world's population would be starving.
But…they are gearing up to bring it back for another round. There is a whole new generation of chowderheads out there.
I lived through it as well……………….not only are we supposed to be starving, but frozen. Mann had predicted an ice age (back in the 70's) by now. It was the primary reason we were going to all starve. Now he predicts Water world crossed with a frying pan ….. go figure.
I've been following this story in the alternative media. And there is a lot more going on than a couple of incriminating emails embarrassing a few individuals.
There's also data files that have never seen the light of day before, and code for their climate models that they've never shared with any one before.
Wait till that information gets in the hands of people who understand it, can dissect it, and explain what's really going on.

Maybe I've been reading too much Jonah Goldberg lately, but here's the way I see it:
1. Given that fascism is the religion of the State,
2. Environmentalism is thoroughly one of several modern Fascist movements, and
3. Lefties have been using the "Seperation of Church and State" argument for years to get Nativities and Menorahs off of Courthouse lawns,
Can we not sue Congress/the US Governement over Cap and Trade or similar attempts, using the argument that "Climate Change" is a religion, and should not be legislated or receive govenment funding? Doing so would finally force the Goreacle and his Congressional supporters to come to the dabating table with the "hard evidence" they claim to have, that the science is settled. Failure to do so would effectively expose the US edition of AGW groupthink and set a better precedent for opposition when they try it again, as they certainly will.

Start with the Australian government and our opposition who both sold out our country on the way to tax us out of existence. They agreed to terms on the Emissions Trading Scheme (or ETS or version of Cap & Tax). Our PM Kevin Rudd wants to go to Copenhagen and show the world how great he is in being one of the first world leaders stupid enough to risk their countries economic future to prove how Green (stupid) he is. He wants his pat on the head from Obama and the other world leaders.
I am so angry, plus the opposition voting for it gives me no voting options at the next election… Disgusting.
I am actually one of those impressionable teenagers who read "The Coming of Another Ice Age". But I also clearly remember the constant drumbeat in Newsweek, Time, et al about the certainty of global starvation.
As the Global Warming Theory becomes less and less supportable, I think they are shifting back to stories about starvation.
Actually the NOAA has changed the "facts" a number of times.
