So apparently Sarah Palin sold over three hundred thousand copies of her book in one day – and as you can guess – they were all purchased by racists.
At least, that’s what the sociology professors over at MSNBC Community College believe. Check out Hardball guest Norah O’Donnell, impersonating a talking puffin…
“This is a largely white — almost no minorities in this crowd. And they`re here because they love Sarah Palin. I think it`s an emotional connection, Chris because they feel, too, that they`ve been beat up on, whether it`s the economy or they feel like outcasts. They like the outsider, if you will, in Sarah Palin. And that`s why people have been willing to wait, 1,500 of them, since 7:00 AM this morning to just get a glimpse of Sarah Palin.”
So let me get this straight: people appreciate Palin because they’ve been picked on by a big bully. It makes me wonder if Norah ever psycho-analyzed Obama supporters this closely… or called them “largely black.”
But hey, I guess that’s better than calling them a tribe or something. Chris?

But here’s the real issue: I used to think this race-baiting tactic was a political ploy. But now I believe they mean it. They do think that if you’re against the policies of Obama, you must be racist. And that’s because in their profession, they don’t know anyone who’s against the policies of Obama! Surrounded by like-minded lackeys, they’re convinced that everyone beyond the tinted windows of their black cars must be card-carrying members of the Aryan Book Club.
The real truth: Whether it’s Norah O’Donnell or Chris Matthews – they’re just too scared to question a black man over policy.
And that’s authentic bigotry.
But what can you expect from a bunch of white people?

MSNBC just doesn't care about being openly biased, because they know that Fox is ingrained in the culture as the only biased network.
I saw this segment (probably on Fox) and my jaw literally dropped. I'd ask how these people show their faces in public (meaning O'Donnell and Matthews) but they seriously don't realize they should be embarrassed. Incredible.

Another funny thing that nobody mentioned is that Grand Rapids, where this took place, is a largely white populated, pro Republican city. Now if they had come to Detroit for the book signing you might have seen more so-called "minorities" there. Wouldn't that have made the MSM's head blow up or do you think maybe they would have only shown them from the waist down?

I wish I was shocked. Chris Matthews is a dolt of the highest order, he goes where the wind blows. Way back, when Hilary Clinton was in vogue, he criticized Obama's lack of experience however when the One gets the nomination he changes his tune. Now anytime anyone says differently of the current administration's policies they're racists. I wish he'd just shut up.
Well being from the Grand Rapids area, we still have loony liberals here. The mayor is a total buffoon. When the state voted down a proposition on the ballot in 2004, allowing universities to give more weight to minority students in regards to enrollment, the GR mayor said the universities should ignore the results. Thankfully he is just a figurehead and does not do any real city management duties.
But you are right, this is mostly a conservative area. One of the few bright spots in this state….

OK now I am disgusted with MAthews even more than I thought I could be after hearing about his leg tingling. Nidal Hassan is a terrrorist. He tried to contact Al Qeada to get emotional support to be able to commit his hateful act against his fellow Army soldiers. He did this to support the views of a sect of Islam that engages in Religious Supremacy (it's like white supremacy but it is those who attend the mosque that are better). And it is not just against Christians and Jews who are considered People of the Book by mainstream Islam. No it is against other sects of Islam as well.

Poll a thousand people (black, white, asian, hispanic, whataever) and you get a general trend- ask a thousand people what they think and you'll get 1000 different answers.

No where in the quote does either of these men say that this crowd is racist. They state the obvious which is that most of Palin's supporters are white. And being liberal I dont think disagreeing with Obama is racist but calling him a terrorist and other slanders is. So if a conservative has a legitimate concern about his tactics then it should be stated but when the conservatives resort to calling him names and going into his religious background, it should be understandable why we think some conservatives are racist.

Understand the implication but I wouldnt presume to say that means the people there were all racist. But I do know that the same people who supported her during the campaign are the same people whosupport her now. And during the campaign there were a lot of hate shown towards Obama because of his fathers muslim heritage. So I dont think the racism is towards black people. Not this time. Its toward Islam and anything foreign. Anything not American. And these Palin supporters are prone to the thinking that white = American, they forget that America is culturally very diverse and no one race should claim America.

Only since the '60s and '70s have the Dims managed to perpetuate the myth that they are the party that cares for the little guy with their own propaganda buttressed by the lame stream media, their divisive and fearmongering campaigning and their union goons' bullying tactics. Perhaps you should read more than one book yourself on the subject?

I'm wondering what universe you live in. You see, I did not support President Obama as a presidential candidate, but I did not, do not and will never "hate" him in the way you mean. People like you have redefined "hate" and "racism" to mean "anyone who doesn't like President Obama or disagrees with his policies/agenda" and I'm just not going to tolerate that anymore. I will stand up for myself and my personal opinion with the likes of you. As for Sarah Palin, it amuses me that people like you continue to believe the myth/lie of the MSM that Sarah Palin is "dumb". She is anything but that. She scares people like you because she has figured out how to have a family and a career, and she does it with style and grace. She speaks her mind, and woman who does that is anathema to those who want everyone to "toe the line" and "go along to get along". That frightens you. Good.
