And THAT, my friend, is far different than a broken leg. Unless by "breaking your leg" you mean LITERALLY having it broken (as in off or so horrifically mangled it might as well be), there isn't a whole lot medicine can do: you get a minor surgery to push everything back in place if there is a need for it (and more often than not there isn't), and then you put them in a cast for a few weeks/months so it can heal properly. Beyond that, you just have to wait, and perhaps take something to dull the pain.

A cut off finger hurts like hell, but unless it is a horrifically bad cut (where your hand is greviously and critically damaged), there IS something you can do: namely, go have it reattached. Or don't. It is a far more marginal injury, perhaps, but it is also far more readily curable, and paradoxically is far more expensive than the more impairing but largely untreatable (in as much they can't go in and fix everything up, even in the cases where that would be necessary) leg wound.

And the broken wrist is also much like that: it is far more important than either a leg wound or a severed digit, but objectively, there isn't much you can do about it save for waiting for improvement unless (like the leg issue) there is literally something jammed in there. You can seal it to prevent it from breaking again or even further, but that is about it. Hence the relatively low cost: $10.000 dollars may seem like much compared to most commercial goods, but for surgical care (or something requiring the attention of it, even if there is no surgery), that is cheap, and I will wager that most can afford it if they need it badly. You simply chose not to. And that is perfectly fine, but it doesn't change the fact that it is relatively cheap and (compared to most physical issues) far less of a disturbance or with the likelihood of the apocalypse scenarios outlined in the video happening.
