Paul Krugman is so adorable when he’s delusional.
Today the bearded boob lays the blame for the Holocaust shooting and the Tiller murder on the conservative media and Republicans in general. Meanwhile, the AP broadens the scope to basically anyone who doesn’t light a candle before a handpainted portrait of Barack Obama. The writer Jesse Washington’s conclusion: “The potential for an increase in violence from whites who feel they are slipping from power is high, people from across the ideological spectrum say.”
“People from across the ideological spectrum?” You mean you, Jesse, you scamp!
And so the lefty media is doing exactly what they’re accusing the rest of us of doing: fomenting hate against people who hold different views from their own.
Does the “far right” do this? I have yet to read anything saying the murder of that American soldier by the American jihadist was the responsibility of Paul Krugman or Keith Olbermann. And it’s been years since the beltway shooter took out a pile of people – and still not a peep about his motivations. From the media’s perspective, only white men can be dangerously angry.
Let’s compare how two different killings were reported: in this Holocaust shooting, it was saddled with sociological musings, obsessing on the motivation, and pronouncements of a national trend of “desperate” white men. Of course, for this to work, the writer has to ignore the Jewish hatred from the far left, including our President’s own preacher. He also has to bypass the fact that the pathetic killer also hated Bush.
And as for the killing of our US soldier? The motivation is ignored.
Forget “white hate,” this is all about politics. And It’s getting Kafka-esque–every time I look at the news, I’m being told I’m a criminal for not buying into universal health care, global warming, higher taxes – in fact, my bedrock conservative beliefs are a sign of a deeper racial hatred. Wait – don’t see her.
My only conclusion – that this is a hate campaign perpetrated by the leftist media to create a violent race war.
The good news is, I think I can take Krugman. I’ve been doing Pilates.

Well done. I honestly don't mind Krugman. (well maybe that is being too kind, but we KNOW who he is and should expect nothing less from the ideologue. I find the guy at AP to be much more scary since that horrible service still carries the mantel of "objective and independent" reporter of news.
Right on the nose, Gut my man. My wife's friend is coming to our house to spend the night tonight. She's got a major crush on President Obama, and she never lets pass an opportunity to equate liberals with intelligence and tolerance, and conservatives with all the hate and stupidity of the world. Oftentimes, I keep my silence (although not always), but tonight? Screw that. I am done, I think, with going along to get along.
I am aware that reasoned responses don't change indoctrinated minds in the heat of a disagreement, but I was a liberal once. It was the ARGUMENTS that swayed me–although it took some time–and I look back and thank the people who subjected themselves to my derision by challenging my arrogant assumptions with reason and patience. It must have been hard on them when I called them stupid and hateful and racist and unsophisticated. I know how if feels now, to be on the other side of childhood, and have to suffer the attacks of children.

When one political ideology controls what the majority of American's hear and see you will get what is going on now, an all out attack on anyone who thinks differently. How many people have publicly challenged Olbermann et al? It just isn't occuring with the regularity that it should. As the most recent Democratic agenda begins to miserably fail, even the folks in the MSM will not be able to spin it positively, and a weird kind of equilibrium will ensue. Until then, not unlike some underground network, sights like Breitbart and others that lean right , will hopefully give intelligent Americans access to the truth.

I read that article and got so incensed by the comments below supporting this guy's opinion that I had to click out of it before my blood pressure exploded. The current incarnation of the republican party wants the same thing as the democrats: control over an ever expanding government at the expense of individual freedom. The only difference is they want to be in charge of it. That's why they got their clocks cleaned in the last two elections.

You do have to wonder at this "scorched earth" policy of the left towards conservatives. They didn't mind wrecking the economy and almost causing the loss of the Iraq war just because Bush beat Gore and they were having an 8 year hissy fit. Where do liberals think this division will lead? Extermination? Race war? What? They also seem to be trying to rig future elections through congressional re-districting and Census manipulation by the White House hacks, and taxpayer funding of left wing ACORN activists, so that the liberals never lose another election. Anyway, this news story quotes the Southern Poverty Law Center claiming that hate groups have GROWN by 54% since 2000 to 2008, ( notice the pattern?) in the U.S. Of course, as usual, CNN wants to protray Americans as a bunch of gun toting ya-hoos to the world. The kicker to the story? Despite this GROWTH of 54%, driven they say by a bad economy and the election of the first black POTUS these groups are exploding in membership, remember 54%! Then the "news" guy mentions off handedly, oh yea, during the same period there has been NO RISE IN HATE CRIMES! IT'S a NON-STORY, EXCEPT TO SMEAR AMERICANS! Thank you CNN. Jerk-ons.
