Daily Gut: Schoolgirls In Love
by Greg GutfeldSo after weeks of delving deeper and deeper into Miss California’s thoughts on social issues, we now turn to last night’s press conference, where one reporter preferred to serve up a question suited more for a pageant than a President.
Check it out, check it outers.
(ROLL FOUR PART QUESTION FROM TIMES DUDE)
Well, someone definitely is enchanted – beguiled and bewitched by a wizard whose spell renders anyone not immune to “The More You Know” commercials to the emotional state of a fawning school girl.
It’s a credit to Obama that even he had to openly acknowledge the convoluted question from Jeff Zeleny, the New York Times reporter – for it was something Barbara Walters would have posed to Barbara Streisand in 1979, right after asking her what kind of tree she would be, if she could be a tree.
(I think she said “spruce”)
So how do you get to a point where a reporter actually feels compelled to ask such a question? It takes two things.
-one: obsession. Remember the Sandra Bernhard character in King of Comedy? Well, that’s the press personified, and Obama is Jerry Langford. I`m beginning to think that many in the press have collages of Obama hanging inside their lockers. Chris Matthews, I hear, has created an Obama love doll in his garage. For a magical thrill, it’s hooked up to a car battery.
-two, acquiescence. The press completely buys into Obama’s worldview, because it`s theirs too. So it’s not really media bias. It’s “me” bias. He is them. Them is…he, if you pardon my grammar. Fact is, the press has always believed the world needs a healthy dose of fairness – meaning other people deserve your money. And that fits nicely with Obama’s main goal – to create a world where all of us are truly equal – by talking up dreams, but leveling achievement.
It’s a surprise that Zeleny didn’t ask Obama to sign his dream journal, which later, he could decorate with hearts. Pink hearts, with arrows in them!
That`s what I would do. But I`m different.
Tonight we have Dr. Michael Baden, S.E. Cupp, Ron Geraci, and Anna Gilligan!!

You know, that's such a good point. The media isn't biased towards Obama – they're narcissists, who are all too happy to promote their own agenda – and do everything but offer to send their sisters for a brief 'overnighter' at the white house.
When he finished his presser, the NY Times and MSNBC "journalists" held up lighters. But try as they might. . . Obama gave no encore.
What do you think they do with all the underwear the "journalists" thow at Obama while he's performing?
it's like watching the Sanjaya girl with out the tears.
Man, these guys need a whole lot of mouthwash after they get done kissin his A**!
I was beginning to wonder if Zeleny's question was going to last longer than the NY Times itself. "And by the way, Mr. President, why do you have such beautiful eyebrows? I'm sure we all agree on that, don't we everybody?" And the crowd goes wild with affirmation! Next question.
Perhaps they have School Girl Flu?
The press reminds me of that 14 year old girl in school, who thought she was the one to be idolized. She and only she, was allowed to determine who and what was "cool". If she didn't talk about or wear it, it was not cool, you know the one, every school had one.
Hasn't the Messiah already had more national press conferences and airtime than Roosevelt had for all of his fireside chats in three plus terms combined?
Bias may be a good word for it. I can think of other words that may be more in tune with the depth of thinking going on in the Media. I would like to ask the President at least one Question if I had a chance.
Mr. President, given that Hope is not a plan what is your plan for this countries Constitution. Are you going to keep it the same, change it, or actually follow it. Or do we just become a Banana Republic by lack of a plan
I'd never noticed before how often Pres. B. O. answers questions with "World Peace". Maybe the best thing for all pageant contestants is to now answer every question with "Hope and Change".
They give them to Bill Clinton so he'll stay out of Obama's spotlight.
Bananas are awfully nice, but I am definitely not down on this whole banana republic thing. This just gives bananas a very bad and undeserved name.
Press barnacles have attached themselves to Barry's azz and don't want to be scraped off so they toot the tune and support his Jive Talkin, Telepromp'nr self love festival. Barry's new motto – 'Kiss my azz or you will be mown grass.' Say, he looks good too. Isn't that the motivation?
Yes, and more Czars than Russia.
The Media only allowed 2 prime time press conferences to Clinton during his first term in office due to something they called revenue stream and shareholders. Ah how revenue no longer matters when we have such a great communicator sharing such important information.
And these are the same press people that want the fairness doctrine. Let's make sure we protect free speech. I like the ideas at; http://www.freedomtolisten.org
Now that the government owns everything and everybody, revenue streams and shareholders are no longer a problem.
And more pies than Auntie, but that's a given.
Is this another example of the mainstream media being unbiased? Sheesh!
I don't know, I've never seen Obama make a pie. Obama can't bake. Auntie can't bake. Coincidence?
The problem with the Obama press conferences are that they’re scripted. A sycophantic press reciting their lines on queue to a Prez that loves to read from a
teleprompter. The script is paramount for this administration. Unfortunately, reality is not scripted. And we’ve all caught Barry’s act off script, it ain’t pretty.
The American people that still buy into this charade will soon be enlightened as the reality of this administration’s policies take hold and intrudes into their enchanted evening. My concern is, who will the American people turn to once they’ve come to realize that the whole thing has been a bad joke. A mass manipulation for power and greed like no other in our history. As for me, my unicorn awaits and it’s a beautiful day in paradise.
Did you hear him demonize the Chrysler bondholders earlier today? Here's the jist: dirty subhuman, greey hedgefunds have stabbed the noble unions and the poor taxpayers in the back in the most unpatriotic manner.
I kept waiting for him to propose a law requiring hedgefund managers to wear little yellow dollar signs on their jackets.
He'll probably just force them to dress up like the Riddler. Only instead of question marks on a green suit it'll be dollar signs instead.
And we've never seen them together, have we? On the other hand, we've never seen Auntie period, so I guess that's a good thing.
All kidding aside, I would never have believed that statism and socialist rhetoric could ever have worked this well, this fast, in a formerly free nation.
It's painful to see the press in action at these love-fests. I got a degree in Journalism about 15 years ago under the delusion that the media was supposed to be objective. I learned real fast that $$ always comes first. But the obsession with the celebrity-in-chief is so illogical it's uncanny. So much of the MSM is dying, and I don't only refer to the New York Times when I say this. Just look at the ratings of CNN and MSNBC. The public isn't unaware of the bias but the MSM just doesn't care anymore. I'm guessing they aren't going to stop the hack journalism until these stations are dead and buried.
That's what truly scares me. I saw Obama as a cult-of-personality figure that would lose his appeal as he continued to push a liberal agenda and take away more freedoms. But there seems to be this segment of society that will support anything this guys does, no matter how much it affects our safety and prosperity.
One question for Mr Gutfeld- if he knows who Jerry Lewis' and Sandra Bernhard's characters are, then who is Rupert Pupkin? Inquiring minds…
This is the kind of garbage that made me tune out the MSM. I started to notice it during Bush/Gore, the first election I voted in, and it has gotten more blatant and obvious each election cycle. They made it a point to mention "decorated war hero" every time Kerry or Murtha's name came up in the news, the best they ever gave McCain was stopping short of calling him a crippled old man. I just got tired of it all and turned it off.
It seems the major news networks primetime programs are nothing more than puff piece for the guy with the "D" after his name. Obama isn't helping with his hour long propaganda shows, all he's done is reinforce the reasons I didn't vote for the man. MSM, want to get your viewers back? Give us the who what where when why and how and let us decide what's right and wrong.
You mean "differently-abled", of course. RACIST!
Reality may not be scripted, but reality shows are.
How long do you think it'll be until MTV replaces that hideous cesspit of self-indulgent crap, "The Hills", with an even more hideous cesspit of self-indulgent crap entitled, 'The House"? The Obama's are the Hiedi Montag/Spencer Pratt of politics.
This guy had never run anything more important than his mouth just a year ago, and now he's running the government, the press, the banks, and major corporations. I'm beginning to think "ah, um, uhm, aw," are actually magical incantations which have put the entire nation into a trance and turned tough businessmen into drooling mush. That looking to the left, then looking to the right, without ever looking at the middle is probably part of the magical ceremony. On his best days, FDR wouldn't have been able to accomplish this, let alone in three months.
I guess that kid on MTV who asked "Boxers or Briefs" has a job now. NYTS needs that kind of hard hitting questioning.
I am honestly shocked that Obama is able to stand up there and echo Nazi anti-semitic propoganda, just substituting the word "hedgefund" or "banker" for "Jew", and his sychophants in the media just nod their heads: "Yes, master, they are disloyal."
You should have heard the vile garbage pouring out of the mouth of one of these "democratic strategists" after the speech. She kept talking about "these greedy hedgefunds" being "disloyal" and "putting their greedy interests over those of real Americans." Wow.
I guess leftists can't hide their totalitarian stripes for very long can they?
I think I saw Auntie in Lord of the Rings. . . my precious.
Yeah that is the scary part, there is a chunk of the population that would still be chanting Hopey Changey slogans while watching him out in front of their house kicking their grandma in the kidneys with a smile on his face.
Yeah but see I believe Gollum could cook if he wanted to, so I'm still going with Auntie being the cave troll.
Hide it? They flaunt it. The Acorn bus tours of the evil, greedy, unpatriotic and did I mention evil AIG exec's houses in Connecticut were nothing more than a Brownshirt training run if you ask me.
That's the problem with the cult of personality. When the cult leader says go forth and do my bidding, the cultists do.
Theirs is not to reason why, theirs is just to do to you and I.
I think they actually convince themselves that they've different. That their motives are pure. That's what makes it so much harder to get through to these people. They're like cultists who think everyone else just hasn't seen the truth yet. Scary as hell.
Andrew: They had eight years of practice with the word "neocon."
I've made this point before, but it bears repeating. The German people were a rather tolerant, enlightened people prior to the rise of Hilter. He sold them a bill of hate and they bought into it because they wanted a savior from the difficulties of their time. Blindingly following his direction, a people who weren't even a single country sixty years prior went on a killing spree that wiped out tens of millions of people.
Usually this much love requires a cigarette after the act. Can't figure out why the press is becoming more and more irrelevent. Don't think they'll ever figure it out either.
The White House staff should set up news conferences like the old "Dating Game" They can have a divider with Obama on one side and journalists on the other. They can have his press secretary Gibbs be the MC.
Gibbs: "Reporter number number one, what is your question?"
Reporter number one: "Mr. President, which flavor of ice cream best describes your first 100 days: Vanilla, Rocky Road, Peaches & Cream, or Tooti Frutti? Tee hee.
Obama: uh, er, ah… listen, listen, now don't interrupt. Um, hmm. Ah.. I would say it's more of a sherbert.
Because they're groupies, not lovers. . . they just haven't figured that out yet.
That's the thing, everytime you hear a liberal say,"Of course socialism didn't work…" you can hear the "but" hanging around behind the sentence. Because to their minds it never worked before only because people who weren't smart enough (like they are) to get it right.
That's the one thing, the other thing is that fascism was the proverbial "third way" between socialism and capitalism. When you look at the government and unions all of a sudden owning a huge chunk of one of America's iconic companies, well it'd make Reichsminister Speer give a nod and thumb's up at the implementation.
At my pessimistic worst, I was always one of those people who believed "it couldn't happen here." For the first time in my life, I'm actually having doubts about that belief.

Don't feel bad. Andrew and I got law degrees actually believing there was such a thing as the Constitution. We've all been deluded.
I'm surprised Teen Beat wasn't there. Oh, they were, they're called CNN, NYT, LAT, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS. The news is at about the same level. Even groupies have to go home and shower.
what's curious about all this is that there was ever any real thought of Chrysler doing the 'structured' BK ala' GM- Seberus Capital is too smart for that, as is Fiat. They knew they'd win the waiting game
and beat Barry/UAW with a chapter 11…
Very perceptive. I think you're right, they do believe that whatever they do is justified because their motives are pure and their enemies are evil. And that is exactly the mind set you need before you can start doing some very evil things to your fellow humans.
Andrew, I think you're right. A little bit of makeup, and we have a dear leader. They are, indeed, the same person.
I don't want to be an alarmist because I'm not. I don't see an evil cabal around every corner and I have a great deal of faith in the power of the system we have put in place to prevent our government from walking down the same path as so many other governments have.
But that doesn't prevent a group of private people from going over the edge and turning to terror, e.g. the Bader-Mainhof Gang or ELF or similar groups. To me, the type of behavior that I see out of Code Pink and the ACORN people is creating a breeding ground for that kind of conduct. The fact that the democrats humor this, use this, and do not immediately condemn it, is fertilizer.
You know, if the Venti Mocha gets the flu from one of his staffers, the MSM will set up a deathwatch at Bethesda and send out "Special Reports" on the quality of the saviouring saviour's bowel movements.
And someone will want to sell them over the TV for $29.95, plus S&H.
This obsequious adulatory scrote sniffing is getting REALLY tiresome…
I'd rather have the "Two-minute Bush Hate"…
Isn't that the truth. All politics aside, I still have zero respect for the MSM. Whatever happened to journalistic integrity and standards?
Look at the Newspapers they would rather go bankrupt than to be objective. That is the business model that all corporations will have to follow to be on the Obama team. They know if they stand up to this dude they will fall to the IRS or another organization controlled by the government.
You know there's a Helen Thomas joke just waiting to be made.. but I don't want to be the one to be accused of sending Andrew to the mental ward.
I've had doubts about the belief that it couldn't happen here for a good long while now. But then again I have more contact with people with direct experience in how this has played out before than most Americans do. So while saddened, I can't say I'm really shocked.
Not that it's at that point yet, but there are a lot of eerie similarities.
That's the scary thing, when ACORN did their little tour groups, the media portrayed it to be something like a lark or a joke, without thinking how the next step, or the step after that could work. And yet at the same time, the Tea Parties were turned into a really bad putdown schtick complete with DHS warnings.
The depressing thing is that describes them perfectly.
Exactly, and as you already pointed out the vilification game is in high swing. No one in the media seemed to think that threatening to release the names and addresses of the "evil bankers" (and their families) was anything to worry about, it was just normal political pressure. Yeah, right. The same thing applied to the whole Prop 8 donor lists in California. As long as you're on the "right" side you can use whatever intimidation tactics you feel like using, that's distressing and a road that people should think long and hard about countenancing.
I started to notice it during Bush/Gore,
I'd say Clinton/Dole is when it was obvious.. they backed off a bit between Bush Sr,/Clinton, because they didn't really need to help Clinton out there, but if they needed to, they would have done so at the first whisper from Pres. Clinton.
LOL!
Wait. Don't give them any ideas…
As I say below (somewhere). . .
I have tremendous faith that our system cannot be twisted to repeat the things that happened in those other countries. There are too many layers of government, too many road blocks, etc. We're just too well balanced and checked.
But when you have a situation like now, where you have a cult of personality that is being bought into by all of the levers of power, by the entertainment industry and by the media, you will destablize people on the fringe. Add in the verbal demonization of Obama's enemies by the "official" world and the self-righteous nature of the left, and the very aggressive (and uncondemned) protests of Code Pink and Acorn, and I can see a rise in home-grown terrorism.
I don't know, Michelle looks like a Granny Panties sort of First Lady so I'm sure Helen's get put to good use. I mean we're supposed to share everything now aren't we? Helen's just doing her part…
Obama is now trying to claim that they always planned on Chapter 11. El torro kaka!
LOL! Okay that one was funny, and sad because it's true too.
Old song by 'The Police"…."young President, the subject of schoolgirl/reporters fantasy…they want him so badly, Know what they want to be…inside them, there longing, these reporters are an open page. Book mark-the reporters are so close now, this girl/reporter is half his age…Don't stand, don't stand so, don't stand so close to me,…" As performed by the "Chrissy Matthews"
Oh man, now I need to rinse off my brain. . . with bleach.
After Dorothy's house fell on Helen Thomas I don't think that we need to worry about her anymore.
Yes the US has a very good system of checks and balances, that's true. But so did Weimar, which in a way was a more developed republican (small r) system than the one in the US at the time. I'm not saying that Obama will go all Hitler and start rounding up people to exterminate, but if you look at Wilson's policies it is possible to have a very heavy dose of totalitarianism within the US system. And Wilson was nowhere near the demagogue that Obama is, combine his popularity with advances in technology, a "what is thy bidding my master" Congress, and a potential "domestic security force" and you have the recipe for a very scary situation.
Yup, take the cash…now go chapter 11, UAW paid off, all is well.
Hey you have to admit that Michelle could use the girdle. Just saying…
Well, I'm not ready to start looking for the Obama Youth Corps hiding under my bed, but I always ran over in my head that list you just wrote, and concluded "it couldn't happen here." I say again, I'm having my doubts.
And that's the part that people (especially on the left) always forget. They always think that they can use evil tactics just a little because they will be the ones who control it. But when you unleash a monster, you can't guarantee that it won't turn around and eat you.
I believe that time would have ended when the windmills,not-in-my-backyard, Walter Cronkite went from journalist to activist. And who named that knuckle-head the "Conscience of America" anyway?
Be careful with the comments about the media kissing up to Obama. We don't want to have to worry about Sexual Harassment Panda being called on us.
Oh there is one Lawhawk, you just need to remember that it's a "living document" and all will be well. We need a rolling eyes smiley for here, we really do.
Yep, Fiat is the one looking like a genius in all this (unlike Dahmler)…. Oh sure, we'll talk about a deal… later….
Ooh.. Chapter 11? Okay, now let's talk….
Chrysler has been making mostly junk for years, sales percentages and resale value have born that out for years . I supported the '80 bailout and they saved themselves and paid us back. Now I have no sympathy. The UAW has been extorting ridiculous wages from Chrysler for years, so their members can build junk, enough.
Yeah, like the communists in Germany thought the Nazis were a needed phase, they honestly believed Germany would go "brown then red" and look how that worked out for them. The same thing happened in a microcosm when Rohm thought he controlled the reins of power, look where that idea got him. Beria thought he would be able to rule after Stalin, wound up shot in the back of the head in Lubiyanka. When people try to use a "figurehead" or a "little system gaming" it usually winds up biting them in the ass.
When you put that sort of thing into effect you never have any idea where it will end up. Obama has a lot of people thinking he's following "their" agenda, but they miss out on the fact that he can whipcord back on them anytime he feels the need to and go in just about any direction he feels like.
NYTimes? nah, never happen.
Missing post again. Grrr.
I understand that, I really do, and I share your concern. They are trying to push those checks and balances in all areas. And unfortunately, some of them will break. But in the end, I think that our system will check their worst instincts and I hope it will check most of the rest as well.
But I do share your doubts.
I foresee a lot of disappointed pressies when the big O finally crashes and burns. We know it is coming, the only question is when.
Obviously, the press has had a "fantasy candidate" in mind for years and their fantasy finally comes true with Obama. His agenda and the media's agenda meld perfectly. It's a "perfect storm", a leftist, Euro-style disaster, complete with crappy Fiat involved.
Too insightful a question for them yeah.
My 2002 Dodge van isn't junk; its approaching 120,00 miles and still starts on the first blade. The big repair? Once, I did a water pump. That's it.
I'd like another one, actually. Oh, well. They may survive okay without Vendi Mocha trying to run the place…
GM is gonna be an eunuch soon, with podcars no one wants, at exorbitant prices, and UAW cigar suckers propping their feet up on the boardroom table…
I think that our checks and balance today are vastly superior to those of the Weimar Republic.
Isn't that what's happening now?
Are you self-censoring by not mentioning he's, well, a minority?
Well, even if The Messiah can conjure up a Supreme Court which will arbitrarily repeal the 2nd Amendment, he can't repeal the reason behind it, nor can he eliminate the people who will stand by it.
Practically, yeah, but on paper Weimar was held up as the "ideal." It didn't turn out that way. A lot of our checks haven't been tested in a good long while either, so there are some I'm not completely confident in.
But hey, I'm paid to worry remember? I don't think everything's going to come crashing down, but there are a lot of very bad things which could happen and be perfectly within the bounds of our system, because it's happened before.
Yeah, I read about the Constitution in law school, but I haven't seen it in the real world yet. Maybe they printed it on a unicorn?
I kept waiting for him to propose a law requiring hedgefund managers to wear little yellow dollar signs on their jackets.
George Soros runs a hedgefund. His parents are Hungarian Jews. You're really hoping that unmarked black van stays permanently parked in front of your house, aren't you? Were you planning on renting them a parking space?
What a disgusting abdication of their journalistic responsibility!
Will the MSM ever, EVER get it, how dangerous, incompetent and
undermining to the Constitution this guy is? Or will their schoolgirl
crush go on forever?
Let's go back a little further for musical allusions: how about "Schoolboys in Disgrace", that was better stuff and it better describes the scribes a'swooning.
I have confidence that the inherent laziness of a people raised on TV, frozen dinners and McDonald's cannot be overcome easily, they will only allow so much change at one time. Note the polling showing 50% say the country is headed in the right direction, now that the big spending bills are out of the way and Obama is generally keeping his trap shut and not forcing stuff through Congress at the moment.
Of course, this means "healthy lifestyle" advocates like vegans are now our natural enemies in the fight to save this country. Eh, they vote liberal anyway, let's take them out.
They'll go through the stages of depression, watch for lots and lots of DENIAL.
