Kale? no-one ever heard of kale before? Wow you guys really hate Michelle Obama. I wish I could be more surprised by that.
And Gary, spar us the crocodile tears about the comments on Michelles looks. These comments reflect the attittude of readers who like a nasty piece like yours, and they are mild compared to the out and out racism on other right wing blogs.
You might want to try Portugese kale soup , it's really good.

When Mrs. O was doing her publicity stunt as she planted the White House garden, and spoke glowingly of all the "foreign countries" who must plant their own crops, never mentioning once the American Farmer, and in her naivety told the children lies about how to garden organically, (later there was lead found in the soil) and feed the entire white house, was the moment I knew that in the bubble that is the District of Corruption, there is no truth. Only propaganda.

yes I did,
but right now, I am preoccupied..packing for a trip, taking care of
house, pets, checking all my email before I leave for airport...kind
of like don't multi-task while driving...I enjoy debating on topics
but that particular commenter is a waste of time.

There were 2 other email responses I sent this am but didn't seem to
go through...and when you are trying to debate a commenter that thinks
they know it all -- usually, they are just living out a life fantasy
in website debate (I never seen so many describe themselves as an Ivy
League, neuro surgeon, world traveler, billionaire and spend so much
web time putting down others)...so they tend to be a waste of
time...and the hypocritical kale shopping episode by MO is now a
legendary tale in this thug administration.

My spouse is not out pontificating about the evils of large carbon
footprints/levying rules about farmers markets/home grown produce for
the rest of us -- while I hunt for imported produce. We all have our
epicurean delights, but learn to be sensible by learning culinary
techniques to make affordable, available choices work...and work very
well...ie cooking Kale correctly in the first place to reduce acidity
or maybe learning how to prepare choice cuts instead of Wagyu beef..

I will be back next week...Take it from here...give that
oh-so-much-more-worldly-than-anyone-in-the-world-hypocrite-heck...find
out what Ivy League school they attended and how many times have
circled the globe...or how much they admire MO's fashion sense!

I'm sorry, Swiss, but yes it does. The redistribution of wealth to the top 1% of the population has gathered serious steam since Reagan. The repression of anything other than flag-waving patriotism, advocation of torture as a means to keep us safe, sounds like the crippling fear you describe. You sound like an angry historian, and to you I probably sound like an uninformed idiot, but I think we're seeing things from truly opposite sides, and I regret that. I don't post here to be a troll. Really.

I was being an idiot. My sense of humor runs this way (big Monty Python/Douglas Adams fan) but not always does it come across right. I have not had much interaction with you so I thought maybe I crossed you soemwhere.

On the more serious note your post about Carbon footpirnts is so spot on. Man I cannot tell you undeniable groupthink that liberals have regarding this subject.
