So they grab the young ladies. They are kept apart and complain of the bad food- rice. Rice is a luxury for the locals, who boil bark from trees to make soup, eat grass- so much so there are huge areas defoliated- so they are actually very well treated by their hosts.

Now that they're home safe, which I'm for of course, and many have asked what deal was struck. I would like to know that as well since it will have repercussions with Iran and any country that wants attention. I also want to know what they were doing there? What mission did Al send them on? I think after all of the time, money and effort to get them back, we should know why they were there in the first place.

Time and money? The plane was from a friend of Bill Clinton's, Bill was not paid to go. The only time and money expended was on the part of Bill Clinton. And might I add, a huge dose of courage as well. People just want to hate on the Clintons no matter what they do. They cannot get a break. I dont' doubt their love of this country and willingness to do anything for it–as they have proven over the course of dedicating their lives to it. Grow up, people! I must say, I'm glad the girls are home, although they DO need to stop listening to Al Gore, and stay the heck out of North Korea. I thought Bill Clinton was a joke as President, but both he and Hillary are looking mighty darn good these days, when you compare them to Dear Leader. I know the Obama administration appears glad that this situation is over, and his followers are definitely giving Obama all the credit. I don't buy it. As arrogant and condescending as Obama is, I can't help but believe he is seething at all the coverage of Bill as the conquering hero.

Wasn't it Bill Clinton that started this ball rolling by negotiating and signing the first nuclear deal with Kim Jong Il in October of 1994 in Geneva. A deal which gave North Korea smaller modern light-water reactors, as well as the nuclear material to use them, and billions of dollars in aid all for the mere promise that North Korea would shut down their nuclear program and higher capacity reactors. __I can only imaginge what old Billy had to give up this time. He probably promised Kim Jong that the Obama administration would DO NOTHING in response to North Korea's repeated violation of countless UN Resolutions and the wishes of the International community. Ha Ha! The jokes on you North Korea the US was already gonna do that. SUCKERS!

In my mind, the day that any President takes the oath of office is the day he (or she) ceases for all eternity to be a "private citizen". Whether currently in office or not, they officially represent forever and always the US and the Office of the President. So for Bill Clinton to say he went to North Korea "as a private citizen" is just not true in my eyes. (The same as when Jimmy Carter met with leaders of Hamas.) He met with Kim Jong Il as a official representative of the United States of America on North Korea's terms and by doing so has legitimized all that Kim Jong Il is and does.
