Shana, your right, but none of us should forget that while George Washingtonn was a slave owner, he was one of the three Founding Fathers (along with Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin), who was deeply and profoundly disturbed by the concept and took cautious actions in an attempt to rid the states of it.

I only wish that His Excellency could be here for us all. He was an awful public speaker and abhored politics. Maybe being dragged kicking and screaming should be a pre-requisite for office.

Most of all, he believed in the self-determination of the individual, perhaps the most lacking quality in the present generation.
