The Least Patriotic Administration Ever
by Doug TenNapelI wish I could say I was shocked to discover that Health and Human Services cabinet nominee Kathleen Sebelius is a tax cheat. I’m not moronic or Democrat enough to call this administration a “culture of corruption,” I’ll leave that to smaller minds buried beneath tighter stretched faces. But now we can add Sebilius to a pile of tax-cheating nominees that include; Daschle, Geithner, Nancy Killefer and Hilda Solis.
Kathleen Sebelius didn’t admit to cheating, she claimed that they were “unintentional errors.” I have reason to suspect cheating when all of these unintentional errors just happen to go in one direction. None of these Democrat nominees unintentionally overpay taxes or claim too little on their charitable donations. Like Franken vs. Coleman, the errors always seem to go one way.
Number two in command, Joe Biden, told us that paying taxes is patriotic. So why are these cabinet nominees so unpatriotic? Never have patriots been so stingy or joyless in providing proof of their allegiance to country.
Sebelius is most rabid pro-abortion governor in the country. Even late-term abortion doctor George R. Tiller has proudly donated over $38,000 to her campaigns over the years. If you’re unfamiliar with Tiller’s work, watch this:
–
So you’ll have to excuse me if I get extra-happy that Sebelius made “unintentional errors” on her taxes. It’s like going after Al Capone. If we can’t generate enough disgust for Sebelius over her radical position on late-term abortion, I’ll settle for removing her from the nomination for being a tax cheat.

Yes the Administration has appointed a group of corrupt and horrible people. Unfortunately, with a complicit press, all we Conservatives can do is grin and bear it until a Gingrich like revolution in 2010. Hopefully, it will not be to late!!
That video made me cry, that poor kid. God bless her for speaking out!
I'm with you, I'll take anything that keeps these people out of positions of influence in the government. Heck it's their tax policies that make it so heinous to PAY the taxes, and I find it hilarious that they themselves don't want to pay the taxes they themselves are voting for.
Not that Dems are the ONLY ones who don't pay their taxes, but taxing and spending but not paying for it says loads.
Can't we, as American citizens, demand an audit for all Federal employees? I want to make darn sure that they are paying all their taxes. Maybe we can get ourselves out of debt with a simple Federal Employee and Elected Officials Fairness in Taxes legislation!
Can't we, as American citizens, demand an audit for all Federal, State and Local elected officials and employees? I want to make darn sure that they are paying all their taxes. Maybe we can get ourselves out of debt with a simple Public Employee and Elected Officials Fair Payment of Taxes legislation!
I have often wondered if what really bothered the Democrats about the patriot act was the simple fact that their political adversaries could look into their private affairs with impunity. I'm betting that there is not one democrat who comes to the Obama administration that some GOP operative already has their list of criminal activities at the ready. I'm not saying that it's a good situation – - just that this power battle is very ugly. When you have a Clinton official being caught with top secret documents stuffed down their pants on his way out of office you better believe that some cross checking has gone on as insurance against a totally corrupt political party.
Hey guys, not to be a downer, but go to the Treasury website and download the financial statements for the US Govt. The auditors have not given the statements a "clean" opinion in the last 12 years. If I were a CEO of a public company, I would have been terminated in year 1 of that run and the stock would be delisted.
These guys operate in a world all by themselves.
Sebelius has also carried Tiller's water for some time; she has defended him publicly- until he became radioactive thanks to Officer O'Reilly then she, like other cowards ran for the hills… Least Patriotic Administration of All Time? not only is that true but it could very well be an understatement. We once knew a Sargent Major who shared something interesting-
We asserted that liberals were good people with bad ideas.
He chortled heartily and said, with a wink- "They're not good people with bad ideas, they're bad people with evil ideas"
It took some time to sink in. We have now come to the conslusion that Top was right. You cannot be a good and moral person and advocate collectivist soul destroying policies that reward evil such as Tiller. $5000 to kill a perfectly healthy soul… as John Lennon once opined "How do you Sleep?"
I'm sorry but, I am going to have to report you as a ThoughtCriminal.
We can not continue with this line of thinking, as it may lead others astray.
The Democrats of today have a kind of "Royal" attitude where they should be held to a different standard. Taxes are for the little people – elected Democrats are too entitled to be bothered with paying taxes.
Since we see what happened when we didn't all go out in vote due to our poor choices, lets vote no matter what next time.
Too bad I can't give you 10 thumbs up for that posting dcase, 'cause I would!
I've been reading a book which has been on my shelf for years, and it described the need of a nation for leaders that represent an "aristocracy of merit." Unfortunately, most liberals would assume that label referred to them and justified their entitlement mentality ("We're entitled to your money, and you're entitled to our dominion"). I don't think the author would ever have envisioned a government like the one we have now (the book was printed in the 1950's). It also talked about a corresponding "aristocracy" of voters, suggesting that those responsible for electing new leaders ought to have merited that privilege by demonstrating their superior judgment (though I don't know how exactly they would do that or what kind of standardized "test" would serve this purpose). Can you imagine just how the liberals would adapt this idea to their own agenda?
Actually, I wonder if this isn't already in the works, but it may just be my paranoia. It would be par for the course, though, wouldn't it?
I've always been anti-abortion, but I just had my first child (a beautiful little baby girl) 4 months ago and that video/description just enrages me like never before. I just couldn't imagine doing that to a poor little baby, ESPECIALLY "late term" when they are viable. It's just horrible. While I'd NEVER condone violence to stop doctors like that, I guess I can understand wanting to do it now. It's just evil….and we all have a lot to answer for.
I think it would be a privilege to be reported as a "ThoughtCriminal". That would mean I have thoughts that the Gov'ment does not like (i.e. intelligent thoughts). I'm okay with that! Maybe I could even become a cause celebre!! That's better than just being rabble! Cool…
Did she have to pay any penalties for the tax "mistakes?" Doubt it. This is a non-issue with the MSM, which is really hilarious. Sorry, but I think $7K is A LOT of money. She should be out of consideration for the job.
Hmm, sounds like a dead on arrival bill…. Not that I don't wholeheartedly agree.
Maybe the dems got confused. Dissent is patriotic and so is paying taxes. Maybe they think they are going doubleplus patriotic by dissenting taxation.
I kind of like being rabble though, it's a short step from there to a mob, and ever since I was a little kid I always wanted to be in a mob, torches and random farm implements always looked like they'd be cool to play with. More importantly when being part of the rabble it means you don't have to worry about the little things, like wearing white after Labor Day.
Ditto.
That what is so frustrating!
Not so much them, but the voting peasants who don't really care as long as somebody to takes care of them.
Read a "funny" comment on a liberal blog. It went something like, "the righties are losers to attack Al Gore. He is doing so much good that his own lifestyle doesn't matter."
"More importantly when being part of the rabble it means you don't have to worry about the little things, like wearing white after Labor Day."
Okay, first of all – HAHAHAHA!!! That was execellent! But I know what you mean. I was really excited to be part of an Evil Cabal until I realized there was a dress code.

Okay, first of all – HAHAHAHA!!! That was excellent! But I know what you mean. I was really excited to be part of an Evil Cabal until I realized there was a dress code.
I try to figure out the pro-choice mindset all the time. I start from the premise that all people, yes for the sake of this argument in my head, liberals are normal people (yeah, first mistake). OK, all people want to affirm life. Then, I progress to why some do not. The only answer I come up with is lack of moral grounding and the refusal to grant the weakest among us basic human rights. This from the people who bloviate all day long about their support of human rights! Human rights, from a liberal standpoint, only matter if there is political gain involved. Prove me wrong liberal trolls. Use reasoned argument and no flippin' "talking points". You can't do it. It's very depressing to think about but there is an evil that has a foothold in this government. And I am starting to state the obvious. That Sergeant Major is spot on.
Oh we're all about the casual when we're doing our evil cabal meetings, and especially whilst rabble-ing, wear whatever you like, but comfy shoes are a must! So don't sweat the dress code.
(as long as they're eviiiil comfy shoes of course)
It would not surprise me if those unpaid taxes were an oversight. You would think that the upwardly mobile politician would scrub her finacial history thoroughly and straighten this out. Guess it doesn't matter until it becomes public, huh. Elitist is as Elitist does.

I honestly think we need to have a march on Washington, camp out in front of the White House and the Capital Bldg and scream at the top of our lungs "we're mad as hell and we're not going to take this anymore" and actually MEAN it. We have GOT to get a sense of morality back into our government and vote out those who's purpose in life is to wipe away all that is good and replace it with their evil way of thinking. I'm so scared about what is happening to our country and he's only been president for 72 days (I can't even bring myself to say his name!!) Can you imagine what kind of country we'll have in 4 years??!! Please God, help us all!
Just as an aside – I want to point out that the Justice Dept. is seeking to reverse Ted Steven's conviction (former Rep Senator from Alaska) and are investigating charges of procecutorial misconduct. Hmmm…nice that this is happening AFTER he narrowly lost re-election because, well, he had been convicted of a crime.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090401/ap_on_go_ca_s...
I heard about the reversal on Ted Steven's conviction, but someone said it was on a technicality, not because it was innocent. Is this true?
I saw that, and found it interesting that Holder was going out of his way to help out a Republican, even after the damage was done; but then it made me wonder what other cased these "overzealous" DoJ prosecutors and investigators are working on currently. A Senatorial seat from Illinois perhaps? Fraud at certain lending institutions by any chance? Acorn voter fraud operations maybe? It could be a preventative strike posing as retroactive justice.
Yep I'm a pessimist.
Withholding potentially exculpatory evidence is probably something I wouldn't call just a technicality, but I'm not a lawyer, nor do I even play one on TV so my thought on that doesn't make it official by any stretch. But that's what the prosecutors are alleged to have done.
Liberal dems pander to minorities and immigrants for vote blocks. It works, obviously. It's one of the big reasons that Repubs always seem to be late out of the blocks in urban local elections. I make no excuses for the slimy Repubs that need to go. They do. Ascension to public office should be a function of education and experience. Sadly, the libs and the insane far-left own education and the battle politic subverts a lot of honest and caring individuals with good intentions. A very good friend of mine got off the elective office merry-go-round because he didn't like what he had to do. A triumph of morals over simple greed.
it's easy if you inject the term 'humanist' instead of 'liberal'. There is a profesor at Harvard (or Yale, not sure) who teaches a course in this topic. First order of affirs is to not believe in a creator or 'higher authority'. Then, human life is 'weighted'; meaning it's virtually worthless at birth or in old age- ergo abortion on demand and euthanasia. Life has it's highest value at 30 or so, when you can be a productive member of the collective. Once again, ergo the no-death penalty or 'reahbilitative, or restorative justice'… so, in this universe, convicted child predators are worth more than a newborn. Got it? Semper Fi, 98 Zulu…
Got it…thanks for the info. I hadn't heard that!
we are humbled by your kind response…
heh, heh….."be seeing you, Number 6."
Sure thing, I caught it in passing, so there may be more than just that, but I definitely heard suppression of evidence during discovery being the big thing that caused the reversal.
What does one wear to compliment a pitchfork??
Right on! Great idea!
Crocs are evil. Really, they are visual evil. Please don any footwear you wish but Crocs. Oh and uggs.
Cerally, why would anyone wear those things in public?
If it's a sharp enough pitchfork: Anything you want.
No one will complain.
Nice reference to "The Prisoner" there!
Or a Realist, perhaps.
Holder is in full CYA mode; even though not in charge during the trial these are career justice department prosecutors who knew the stakes of this election and hepled throw it to Bebich and the Democrats… he is trying to get out in front of this before it bites his butt good. It will also help shield the guilty- if we allow it.
It's another great example of the use of propaganda. When I was a boy, the terms used were 'anti-abortion' and 'pro-abortion'. Then the propagandists decided that being 'Pro-Abortion' had a negative connotation so the news media changed it to 'anti-abortion' and 'pro-choice'. After that the life movement realized that they were now the 'anti' group so they forced 'pro-life'. The ultimate reasoning here, is that 1. we are no longer talking about abortion. We are talking about 'choice'. 2. We aren't 'anti' anything, we're for choice..
The most important battle that 'Pro-Abortion' people fight today is to keep partial-birth abortions legal. If they concede that any fetal stage is 'life' then it becomes a matter of defining life, not limiting a choice. You can never get a pro-abortion person to every discuss 'life' it's a losing battle for them.

Okay, I find Crocs and Uggs too Liberal anyway. I prefer Conservative footwear like StrideRite and Clarks. Maybe some Tony Lama or Lucchese boots…
Joe – Ditto.
And yes, Kelly did show courage on O'Reilly telling what she endured, and all she suffered while and since having the abortion, BUT not much was focused on the baby. Tiller committed murder. I was enraged and saddened by what I heard, but moreso of what was not said.
Thanks Doug for posting the video.
Pro-choice should be re-monikered to pro-me. There is no legitimate, moral, reasoned argument for the termination of a human life. A baby changes a person's life. You can no longer stay out all hours of the night partying. You can't get those expensive glass tabletops. You'll either need to get rid of the crystal sculptures or at least put them in a locked cabinet somewhere, and unless you want deep scratches and fingerprints on your dvds, you'll need to move those too. A lot of adjustments have to be made, and it seems that living with a murder on your conscience is easier than getting rid of your grown-up toys.
Actually, I prefer the scythe to the pitchfork. It is somehow more artistic…
The scythe would go perfect with a Snuggy, especially a hoodie Snuggy!
I prefer my combat boots to everything else, they pretty much scream 'conservative' after all. Although I also like Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers, not only do they exude eviiiil but you can also write patriotic sayings on them with any sharpie. The more hideous the color, the better when it comes to rabble-ing!
I soooooo agree with this, and not just because I'm wasting my day trying to figure out my taxes.
Try "TurboTax" It's so easy even Geithner could have use it!
Joe, as a father of four, good job! Becoming a parent is a big deal and I'm always happy to find out another dude had a kid because I know what's in store for you, a more robust life. And yes, the horror of abortion comes home in a horrifying way to particularly wise parents.
I still contend that "President Gore" would have signed the Patriot Act exactly like Bush did, and the left KNOWS this.
The Patriot Act was just a convenient bludgeon for Democrats to use on their political enemies as a means of gaining power. Period. Just like the whole domestic wiretapping argument. Just like the argument that the war in Iraq is too expensive and causing deficits.
You'll notice that there isn't any movement to get rid of it now that Obama is president.
I'm originally from Wichita and I used to date one of Tiller's former nurses (she was also heavily involved in NOW and had at one time been a Wiccan Priestess).
Even though she supported his cause 110% she still said there was "something not quite right about George", and even though she didn't work for him anymore there was still some weird sort of fear in her voice whenever she'd talk about him.
After a short time dating this girl I realized there was a deep and abiding evil in her … something really wrong with her on a spiritual level. I've sensed this same thing in a lot of other hard core leftists I've known over the years (honestly its part of the reason I carry a gun).
Yeah but if Andrew does that he'll suddenly find himself working for the Treasury Department. TurboTax is now their standard hiring (drafting) guideline.
I really am tempted to go to the local t-shirt shop and get one for Geithner that says,"I Cheated on My Taxes and All I Got was this Lousy Cabinet Post."
Made me sick to see Bob Dole usher her into the confirmation hearings. His and McCain's squishiness are the reasons we lost '96 and '08.
A torch.
LOL! What a great slogan for TurboTax!
Sadly, I don't think TT will help me. I managed to do almost every funky thing I could this year — each with its own set of forms. If Geithner had to figure out my taxes, he'd been crying like a baby.
Those would sell!! Great idea!
A couple of Rottweilers on a chain leash attached to spiked collars also add bonus style points.
That was bizzare for someone who is a rather staunch pro life advocate.
They could do edgy and hip commercials like Geiko does with the cavemen too! Only instead of cavemen they could use angry unemployed elves.
The O'Reilly video uncovers one of the biggest lines of BS pushed by the Abortion Lobby, the fiction that an abortion transaction is "a private matter between a woman and her doctor." There is no such relationship in the transaction.
Kelley in the video describes the real picture. She's herded in with a bunch of equally clueless fellow victims, she sees the doctor twice–to be injected with the abortifacient, and to have the afterbirth removed after being forced to abort her baby into a toilet. She scarcely exchanges words with him.
Most abortions are performed in abortion mills like Tiller's. Substitute chickens or cows going through the same process for slaughter, and the people who defend "Choice" would scream at its barbarity. Actually, that's unfair. The animal slaughterhouses are subject to more oversight.
That´s not enough. Citizens should have the right to demand drug tests on grounds of incoherent babbling or unsettling behavior. To ensure fairplay, make them pee in a container in front of 12 randomly chosen witnesses. Pointing and giggling is frowned upon.
It is such an apt comparison these days. I wonder if we will all have striped golf carts?
Tony Lama and Lucchese, both fine products made in my home town of El Paso, Texas by mastercraftsmen. I wore Dan Post boots for years but now sport Lama's when the occassion calls for them. Weddings, funerals, liberal stompings…just kidding about the stompings!
excellent…. Very good!!
I wore Bass shoes for a long time in my shirt and tie days because they were still made in Maine. I wear New Balance now because they are at least assembled in the U.S.A. Finding a non-Chinese shoe is tough these days.
Maybe, I just hope they restrict the use of the floaty eye thing, that always creeped me out when I was a kid. It was right up there with Flying Monkeys and Sleestaks on the creep out o'meter.

Well, Geithner does look like an angry Keebler elf.
I've driven through El Paso a few times, so I'm not completely sure you're kidding about the stompings, there were a few times in traffic there I really wanted to get my "stomp on."
I should clarify, I don't carry a gun because I'm afraid of the nutty leftists, I carry a gun because I recognize that evil is real, and it exists in the hearts and minds of many people.
I don't believe my ex or any of the other "hard core leftists I've known" are a threat to my physical safety, simply that evil exists and if these basically harmless, nonviolent folk have that much evil in them imagine how dangerous someone with that much evil but without personal restraint could be.
I also lived in Wichita when the Carr Brothers did their thing … go google it I'm not getting into that here .
The worst part about it is there is a guy named Phil Klein who has been working aggressively to bring Tiller to justice for possible violation several laws, one of them being a possible breachof statutes concerning statutory rape. It isn't that he's been guilty of it, but that he carries out abortions on minors without notifying authorities of possible rape having been the cause of those pregnancies.
Klein is a good man and an excellent prosecutor having argued successfully before the SCOTUS twice on water rights and the Kansas death penalty law, but his name has been made mud by the state and local media for his investigation of Tiller.
Keebler elves are happy though, I was thinking more like angsty metrosexual Lord of the Rings (movie version) elves.
You're absolutely correct. That is where my equation is wrong. The humanist construct has to be factored in. Yeah, it makes sense then. I just refuse to accept humanist nihilist philosophies. I am sooo glad I left the re-education center (college) of my own free will. Roger, Delta Charlie, …..out for now.
I carry a pistol everywhere I go because it's my right to. Plus it annoys the crap out of liberals.
El Paso is a fine place to "drive through". I've left at least three times. When I finish school it'll be "El Paso in the rear view mirror". Both of our parents are elderly and live here, that's about the only anchor left. All my siblings have long since headed to Central Texas.
I love doing things that annoy the crap out of liberals!
This is utter insanity. While I agree that late-term abortions are awful (and at that stage in pregnancy, if you don't feel fit to raise a child at least put it up for adoption) but this girl has a past, clearly. There are big patterns in human behavior and you cannot blame this girl's teen drug use, promiscuity, and depression on an abortion. The fact that she was having sex at such a young age suggests abuse in her past. The consquences she spoke of most likely would have occured anyway, only with a child in tow which would just perpetuate an abusive cycle. Also it is completely normal for a woman to encounter depression after any abortion, even on an innate maternal level, it is a loss. It doesn't necessarily send you into a downward spiral of drugs, sex, and rock and roll.
Well there's that too
I just wanted to clarify before some paranoid liberal troll came in here accusing me of wanting to shoot those I disagree with.
It hits me in a different way. I have yet to have my first, but my husband whom I love more than life was adopted. His mother was sixteen and unwed. Every time I hear something like that; I cringe and sometimes I get pretty emotional. I also have two beautiful nephews, also adopted.
It is pretty ridiculous when you consider that nearly every right-wing talk show host hires accountants and tax experts and overpays to make sure they are immune to audit.
amigo, there was nothing wrong with your equation; we just 'prodded' it along a bit. We too, reject nihilism and profoundly so- therefore when you see it blatantly espoused there is a sense of denial, as if pehaps we are misunderstanding it. How can anyone think like this? How can anyone approach every aspect of life from an essentially negative position- birth, school, work , dirt nap… that is why the Current Occupant wants to provide free Re-education for all who dare enter… watch your six, Marine…
My sister was born Down Syndrome in 1966. I remember my Mom having a long reasoned talk with us siblings about that when she got home. Being a hyper-devout Catholic, it was never a consideration. Life was a gift and that gift was not ours to trifle with. Admittedly, she is very high-functioning. That was not known at the time and the severity of the condition was very unclear. Accepting those possibilities, sight unseen if you will, is the highest form of faith and affirmation. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I have a lot of pride in my parents but, that is the one that tops everything. Perhaps, I should feel sorry for the humanist progressives who no longer posess souls. Nah…………..

Most liberals are extremely paranoid about guns so yeah I can understand the clarification.
I love being asked by them when I'm filling up my coffee at a convenience store or what have you, while openly carrying, "Is that thing loaded?" Because the obvious reply is,"It wouldn't do me any good if it weren't now would it?" The look you get back: Priceless.
Even better is the even more shocked look when I don't wipe out the whole store, everyone on the street outside, and random small animals on the sidewalk, but instead go about my normal business like a normal person. Because, you know, that's what I am.
Is that what we should do, wait? This administration has accomplished in three months what hasn't been done for 200 years, by 2010 there will be no opposition, nor will "opposition" be legal. Waiting is what conservatives did to get us here.
Mr Klein is a hero doing good work and will be rewarded beyond his dreams…
No, it doesn't…….BUT………there is a level of responsibility that needs to be attained and an awareness of the consequences on ones actions. This is where progressive education not only fails but corrupts. I have watched parents talk until they turn that proverbial shade of blue, only to be undermined by the prevailing peer attitude that is reinforced by abysmal or non-caring teachers. The societal pressures that push one to drug abuse are the fault of a dysfunctional system that glorifies the shedding of inhibitions and the idyllic attainment of perfect self-esteem. Have you noticed the low levels of common sense that have prevailed in the last 20-25 years? If the liberal-progressive truly sat down and looked inside his or her self, their self perpetual fantasy world would crumble around them. Unlimited inhibition begets criminal behavior…….wait, I'm rambling again, I'll stop now.

I'm fairly convinced it had to do with the attainment of his Senate seat, at all costs. True, holder is left holding the bag (I did it, again…..) DOJ was pushed into this by the powers that be in Congress. How someone could think that this kind of evidence would not see the light of day just escapes me. Like the swine in Congress is not going to throw some FBI or DOJ flunky to the wolves? Puh- lease….. There has to be a certain level of veracity to this if even Matthews comes to his defense. That shocked me.

"98" –
Beautiful remembrance to share with us.
I am active in the Pro-Life movement ( sidewalk counseling, prayer vigils ) and my experience is there is a SPIRIT AWAKENING in America that says ABORTION IS NEVER A SOLUTION.
Family counseling, Faith-based assistance, Adoption….THESE are solutions.
Attended the MARCH FOR LIFE in D.C this past January…
…YOUNG PEOPLE, my brother, by the TENS of THOUSANDS, singing and praying and marching for the pre-born.
The SPIRIT is MOVING in wonderful ways.
You, and your Darling Sister, STAY BEAUTIFUL !
Sarge
P.S. Yeah, we still gotta pray for those ' humanist progressives '…
…Jesus ate with sinners, donchya' know. ; )
And her parents who were wealthy enough to fly her to Kansas for a week in order to get a late term abortion are the people responsible for her life… and responsible for the abortion…
So what does that mean?
Whatever conditions in her life that led to a downward spiral were not *removed* by the abortion, were they. I once worked with a young lady who was taken by her parents who obtained an illegal abortion for her after she'd felt the baby move. They hadn't realized she was pregnant until she was 5 months. The fact that she got pregnant as a teenager likely did have something to do with her parents, which is also why she got dragged to an abortion after she felt the baby move inside of her.
If there is justice of any sort in the world, her parents who (in her own words) didn't want their wealthy friends to know, who saw it all as a social issue for *them*, will not be allowed to know their grandchildren. Because even if her baby wasn't all that real to her, someday she'll have a baby, and someday she will *know*.
So dissenting to not pay taxes would be kinda' carbon neutral because one cancels out the other. Someone call Algore quick – we have a plan!
Decent enough straw-man ("grrrr!!! those evil well-off bastards with their expensive household niceties!!!" who says only liberals get to have fun with Class Warfare, right?) but the upper-middle-class people you're talking about make up a small percentage of those having abortions – they tend to be more responsible (i.e. deathly and rightly afraid of exactly what you're describing in terms of life-change) and take the necessary precautions. It's actually a pretty good 'rule of thumb' for prefiguring the course of a relationship early on: The nicer her furnishings, the safer the sex. Most abortions are performed on younger women, primarily working/poverty class – less worried about not having a glass table and more worried about not having enough FOOD on the wooden table (or "borrowed" wooden wire-spool, as it were.)
"After a short time dating this girl I realized there was a deep and abiding evil in her …"
Funny… that's usually the point in a relationship when I start pricing engagement rings…
Can't speak for either "liberals" or "trolls," but okay…
It's very simple: People (actual sentient people) own themselves and their bodies. It's your most important, fundamental, basic "possession." And they can do or not do with it whatever they like. Pre-viability, a fetus is "living off" the mother's body, and if she does not wish it to it can be removed – in the same way that you can remove anything else within you that is impacting you in a negative manner or any manner you do not wish. No one should be forced to endure a physical condition when he or she has the means to remove said condition without harm to the individual rights of another actual human being.
Speaking only for myself, individual freedom and the right to control one's own destiny as they see fit trumps EVERYTHING. Do I prefer that people simply not get pregnant in the first place? Or that we legalize RU-486 and the like? Of course. But if this is the best available solution right now? Then it's what we have.
