I think you'll find that most people on "my" side of things with this, as in most progressives in general do not make these kind of remarks about Christianity in general – just fundamentalist Christianity. Nobody's saying you have to teach evolution or global warming in the church, so please stop trying to push religion into science, especially if you're going to insult other religions while doing so. This is not the same as tearing into Christians the same way you have done pagans and environmentalists.

At the end of the day the earth is something we know for sure exists and know for sure that pollution hurts in a way that comes back to hurt us. It potentially affects everyone of every faith or no faith, and at the end of the day while we can hurt the earth, it'll most likely survive and WE'LL be the ones to suffer. This "creator not the creation" crap has to stop. I doubt if your God did create the earth, he'd appreciate you pissing all over it in his name.

The fact is roughly 97% of Climate scientists, not idiots like you or me who rant at each other on some fundamentalist loonie's blog back the idea of human influence in global warming. These are people who actually make a living out of looking at this.

You specifically said this was not true, however it would be very hard to disprove these statistics. If you have some other serious gripes with global warming and it's human factor regardless of the vast majority then I suggest you bring it up with a climatologist, one of the 97% might be able to explain something to you. But you specifically said that there's only a "few grant-whores" backing the idea.

No big deal if you admit your mistake, but I don't see that coming. I've no idea now you're going to say Oh but they're GOVERNMENT FUNDED and there lies the bias. But, you still said a majority(and apparently government funding didn't matter then), and you were incorrect. If you could accept at least this we might get somewhere in this debate.

This isn't my opinion either. There's such a thing as the style over substance fallacy. I never said "You will believe this or else". "Simply not true", then you prove it. And you don't just pull up some random ass article that agrees with you. The majority of scientists, climate researchers who actually look at this problem, say it does. So "science" disagrees with you.

And yes, debate is allowed. There is constant debate. The problem is that most scientists do not feel comfortable debating people who are at the end of the day, anti-intellectual little shits. Just because YOU and YOUR view is not being taken seriously does not mean there is no debate. Nobody takes you seriously because you so frustratingly reactionary. And again this is very simply proven by your opposition to "green" issues being "Pushed" on you when it's something we should be doing anyway. Waste and pollution is bad, amazingly enough.

Religion is still heavily pushed on people, but you don't give a shit about that. Instead you just focus on where religion isn't, and wher environmentalism is and act like the world's collapsing.

In other words, he is criticizing the movement itself. And that most certainly deserves to be criticized.

Also, if you're so determined it's "Not fact", why don't you prove it with science? Why do you try to bump heads with scientists? Why not just become more active with science in general, because surely if you're right eventually that's the undisputed result that they will arrive at?

It's a minority of scientists that are claiming global warming doesn't exist. You're the one pushing a crazy conspiracy theory and some of us are getting sick of it. Nobody is outright intolerant of the idea that global warming is not man made. It's just that thus there's been far more evidence for than against. Obviously, you think otherwise, but you're not even considering the possibility your ridiculous conspiracy theory is false which is the root of the problem.
