Obama’s Road to Appeasement
by David BossieThe abject failures and endemic corruption of the United Nations are issues that I’ve always tried to bring attention to, especially since there are so many blindly faithful UN promoters in the film industry. In fact, the 2nd film that I ever made was Broken Promises: The United Nations at 60 with the late Ron Silver, who continues to be a source of inspiration to me and so many others.

Today, President Obama arrives at the UN to continue his policy of appeasement in person. He will become the first president in American history to chair a meeting of the United Nations Security Council, and despite the fact that he had full power over the agenda to be discussed, he decided to take the Iranian and North Korean nuclear programs off the table.

Mr. Obama is an embarrassment to the United States of America. There is nothing more to say.
The military is getting mad as hell but a lot of them can't speak out because he's our Commander in Chief. He's responsible for all these foreign policy failures. We're going to pay the price when his foreign policy disasters lead to conflicts in puppet states controlled by the new Axis powers: Russia, Iran, and China.
My Son in Law is a SSGT in the Army, he is getting ready to deploy to Iraq again and I know what he thinks. Sadly our brave young men are put in harms way and the POTUS dosen't have a clue.
Dennis Miller said it best when he pointed out that the Left's agenda was completely transparent when the FIRST act of the new Democratic majority was to remove John Bolton from UN Ambassador. I had an argument with one wing-nut (who claimed to be former air force and a test pilot) who said that almost every country in the world hated us because of Bolton's tenure. It's just flat out delusion on that side of the aisle, and nothing Obama has done has surprised me (outside of his initial support of the military and intelligence communities….which he has since retreated on).
Obama is a leftist, "resetting" what he believes is a history of American aggression and hegemony by retreat into a weakened neo-isolationism – he does not care what we think. I feel very sorry for the allies( Israel, Poland etc.) we will and are leaving behind and in jeopardy. Whoever the next POTUS is will have a helluva job ahead of her cleaning up the absolute disastrous nightmares this man will leave behind.
Mr. Obama is quickly learning that the world stage is a dangerous place. He might have a big-man-on-campus when it came to Chicago gang-land style thuggery, but even though he is the President of the United States, that and a buck-fifty will buy a cheap cup of coffee. The world is not as impressed with Mr. Obama, as Mr. Obama is impressed with Mr. Obama.

I agree. I also think he lacking the ability to deal on the world stage.
Anyone else think his eternal campaigning is not just a habit – from which he cannot break?..But, perhaps seeking the next level of power? As in World rule? An American cannot hold the UN Sec General position (by charter) but that could be easily changed if enough countries agreed.

There are the cool crowd, the trouble makers, etc. At the moment that Obama took over America was the one guy in school who wouldn't take any BS. America was never the most popular but America did have great friends. Now we are sacrificing some of these friends (countries) in order to be more popular. How has that ever worked out in real life to be a good thing.

You cannot imagine the depth of corruption in that organization. When banks go this far into the abyss, regulators shut them down or set up a good bank/bad bank to salvage the debris. I want to make sure I'm following the argument here. Please clarify some points here:
1. Why exactly do some of you feel that Russia is going to invade Europe?
2. Considering that loans from China currently fund our two current wars, just where exactly are we going to get the money to pay for a war with North Korea.
3. Just what exactly do you think would be the result of a preemptive attack on either Iran or North Korea? Once you go down that path, you're pretty much committing the US to a World War. Do we bring back the draft, or do we hope that millions of young Americans sign up to go fight?
Considering Russia is making Billions in oil sales to Europe, what would be the Russian rationale for invading Europe?
1. Invade no, take over yes… selling out friends to make new ones seems to be the order of the day?
2. China is just as much afraid of N. Korea's actions as we are. Their thinking is Kim is and idiot but, he is our idiot.
3. Yes, yes, yes… preemptive is a far worse course than what exactly? Do we wait for the nuke to go of in say one of our harbors like Pearl?

I asked what exactly do you think would be the result of a first strike on either Iran or North Korea? The thing that troubles me about the first strike argument is that it's loudest boosters don't appear to have thought through the consequences of such an action. For instance, an attack on NK would in fact be a violation of the cease fire from the Korean War. Congrats, you have just given NK the green light to send hundreds of thousands of soldiers across the DMZ. How many US troops would be killed in just the first few days? How many Koreans? A first strike against Iran would set the Middle East on fire as well. Forget about the loss of life, you'd destroy the world energy markets as well. By the by, I have my doubts that China would really be that enthused to loan us money to fight a war on their doorstep.
Again, if we are going to encourage the US to start a World War, how exactly would we pay for such an endeavor? Where would we get the troops? If you think that anyone would willingly accept a draft, you're being overly optimistic.
As for the "we have to prevent the next Pearl Harbor", considering the Iraq War was sold on that premise as well, good luck convincing the majority of the country to sign off on the US choosing to START a World War that could potentially kill millions.

I am so incredibly glad to see that there are so many people who are outraged with what our government is doing. That gives me hope for America. But we have a huge battle to fight before we get these people out of office. Please everyone who agrees with this. Call your Congressman and email them daily. If you don't want to speak with anyone then call in late hours and leave them a message. It is easy- our "representatives " need to hear what we are thinking EVERY DAY. It took me till the age of 10 before I realized my preacher was preaching his own brand of hatred and saying how much hate God had for sinners. Even at that age I wondered why God would think going to a dance or a movie was evil – especially since my parents and I had once seen the preacher’s wife and daughters standing in line for a movie.
At that age my own preference was to believe God was good and loving and that he would forgive sinners.
