‘Perfect Valor’ Debuts May 16th at the GI Film Festival
by David BossieIn 2004, coalition forces in Iraq launched Operation Phantom Fury, the battle for control of Fallujah. American troops battled through a city of enemy insurgents, fighting house to house and street to street to seize control of the most dangerous city in the world.
Narrated by Senator Fred D. Thompson, “Perfect Valor” is the story of the high price paid by US forces and the legacy of that campaign as seen through the eyes of the men and women who were there, risking their lives in service to their country.
We meet a Navy Cross recipient, recognized for extraordinary gallantry under fire during the assault on Fallujah. A true American hero still haunted by his experience in Iraq. We listen to the family of a fallen Marine as they tell the story of their sacrifice. We hear the harrowing tale of a battalion surgeon who risked his own life to move an aid station forward, into the middle of the fight – a decision that saved thirty lives.
Through interviews with American servicemembers and their loved ones, “Perfect Valor” circumvents the filter of the mainstream media and gives the audience the chance to hear personal stories of courage and sacrifice directly from those who were there.
Using unbelievable high-definition footage and faithful recreations, “Perfect Valor” gives the viewer a first-hand look at what these brave servicemen and women experienced, painting a vivid picture of urban warfare. Viewers get a never-before-seen look at the experiences of American troops fighting in Iraq.
These brave men and women answered the call to serve. They deserve to be honored, and their stories deserve to be told.
“Perfect Valor” will debut at the GI Film Festival on Saturday, May 16 in Washington, DC.

One thing to be thankful for is the New Media- without whose ceaseless efforts we would not be told of these brave citizen warriors and their sacrifice. Now, for the GI Film Festival to come to your neighborhood…
I'm really looking forward to viewing this film & others from this festival . As a service veteran, it angers me that all information released concerning our servicemen in action is filtered through a lens of political/ social distortion.
A clear coherent voice that tells Their story is not only needed, but should be shouted from the rooftops.
Thank you for this information. I would love to watch this!
But how it infuriates me that movies like this get limited release and no publicity, while those movies that drag our military through the dirt with their lies and propaganda are given the Hollywood treatment – literally.
The very people the left pretends to admire and support and in fact, despises. Hey Napalitano, or however you spell it, are these folks on the list, too? Your kind isn't fit to unwrap their toothpaste.
The heroic American citizen soldier, God bless them all!
Please don't forget, to the Mainstream Media, These people are chumps for risking their buts for all of us. I can't wait to get my tickets to see this film.
Semper Fi Brothers and Sisters! Can't wait to see this!
The people who comprise the MSM are certainly not worthy of their sacrifice!
But that just emphasizes the quality of these people's character in comparison with those who spit in their faces. Instead of responding in kind, they continue to sacrifice themselves so that these fools can continue to have the freedom to slander them. The irony of it is lost on these so-called intellectuals.
It sickens me and infuriates me every time I think about it. But I know that every single person who has been complicit in this slander will be held to account by God one day for every single word they have said, written and printed.
I recently saw the History Channel show "The raid ay Los Banos" These people were held as prisoners of the Japanese for 3 years. and they were lierated by 11th airborne. From 1945 to this day, those people never stop thanking the US Military. I wonder where that spirit is for "Our Boys (and Girls)" today?
Where IS Saha Wisenheimer ?
In the years I sold cars I encountered many a service man, usually young men stationed to Ft. Bliss in Texas and either back from or on the way to, Iraq. Almost to a man they were sharp, focused and committed, particularly when compared to the pukes and clowns on MSNBC or the John Stewarts of the world. One tall quiet kid had "Live Free or Die" tatooed on his leg and I asked him about it. He told me he had a job to do, help free the innocents of iraq from oppression so they could live free. A farm kid from Ill. commited to the freedom of a foreign people and putting his life on the line again and again (he was two tours in country) to help make it happen, and risking his life for his convictions. I used to worry what would happen if this country had to gear up for a fight to preserve our country, not any more. FOOLS like Obama will pass, these times will pass, courageous kids like that kid from Ill. will still put on the uniform and preserve the freedoms of us all, even the jerk-o**s at MSNBC. ALL the BEST to the G.I. FILM FESTIVAL!
I'm going to be in Europe (not to wear this out, those that follow B.H.) and I'm going to ask Frenchman,Belgiques, Italians and the British where their collective cajones are stashed…I suspect in a jar, on a Muslim's shelf next to the WMD's. What happened to these people? Are they SOOOO afraid of another 7/11/05 (Muslim attacks in London)? The world OWES our military a debt they can NEVER repay, the very least they can do is not be so damn snotty to the country that delivered them from evil. As I've said on many an occassion, the entire country of FRANCE should stop, kneel, face Normandy and give a prayer of thanks every year at dawn on June 6th…they owe it to the Allied soldiers that fought, were wounded and most importantly DIED there, for them.
Sorry Mo, I echoed you further down the post. You said it well, and I concur.
Amen to that, Jamesb!
The arrogance and ingratitude of these people never fails to astound me. And disgust me.
Jamesb, Mo_,
Come on! the Euro-Trash don't care! we have allowed them to become "The Spoiled Teenagers" of the world. They never have to care about protecting themselves becausee the USA will take care of that! (You know him, James, The kid from Ill you sold a car to). The current Problem is that we have elected another snotty teenager to run our country. He is counting on the Kid from ill to take it in the teeth do he (and his "Media 'Ho's") can laugh at what a Government paid Chump he is. Then when he is finished with his "Gov't service" he can then be tracked by Homeland Security for the rest of his life.
Great post Jamesb !! The spirit that stirred in the brave young kids and their leaders that carried their muskets into battle to secure freedom for the new country hundred's of years ago still burns as strong today as ever. The MSM and celebutards are actors makin' a buck in the freest country on earth, and don't really relate to the bigger picture. Some of the countries dislike us out of jealousy because we have done this freedom thing better than anyone else in history. We are blessed to have these brave young men and women protecting our freedom with their passionate American spirit!!! The bad actors in D.C. can never take that away from us. I will see all you grassroot Americans on the 4th !!!!!! God less the USA !!!!!
“Perfect Valour” needs to be distributed across the United States to rich, white “yuppie-scum house flippers “(Coulter’s words) who whine about how tough life is. Let’s give them tough.
Any chance this film will get a nation-wide release?
For those that haven't read the book one of the heroes of the battle of Fallujah I recommend you get it. David has since left the military and briefly flirted with politics, running for a house seat in NY and is rumored to have been nominated for the Medal of Honor for his actions in Fallujah. If true and if he receives it he will be the first living military member to receive this medal in the GWOT.
David is a helluva guy and very entertaining. I have seen videos of him talking to groups and he has a great sense of humor while being humble.
Link to David's book messed up. The book is "House to House" http://www.amazon.com/House-Epic-Memoir-War/dp/14...
Thanks for this, I've added it to my Wish List.
The stories in Perfect Valor are pulled from the pages of my next book. NEW DAWN will tell the entire story of Operation Phantom Fury and will chronicle many stories of the brave young men and women who fought to free Fallujah. In the mean time, pick up a copy of Marines in the Garden of Eden to read about the first major battle of Operation Iraqi Freedom. visit http://www.marinesinthegardenofeden.com to get your copy today.
