Exclusive: Prejean Attorney Strikes Back: Carrie Has Fulfilled her Pageant Obligations
by Carrie PrejeanI am in shock that K2 Productions and the Miss California USA Pageant have taken the steps to fire Carrie Prejean today. The claim that she has an unauthorized book contract is false. She does not. The claim that she is refusing to appear is false. Carrie has been in constant contact with pageant officials seeking to fulfill her obligations. I have emails in my possession tied to the pageant organization as recently as last Friday citing future appearance requests for Carrie. She represented the Pageant in Las Vegas the weekend before last, and is scheduled to appear at a Special Olympics event this weekend in California, a cause dear to her heart. Everyone has been pleased with her appearances and excited to see her.
If you need any further evidence of who is in bad faith: A radio host, Billy Bush says he is the person who informed Carrie she was fired. What kind of employer alerts the media before they speak to their employee?

I'm glad that Prejean has a lawyer – hopefully she sues these idiots. I'm not normally litigious, but you have to fight fire with fire and I'm sick of these anti-Prop-8 thugs intimidating everyone into doing what they say.

How is it even possible that someone like Perez Hilton is considered a voice of reason and Carrie Prejean's original statement about gay mariage be characterized as an extreme homophobic, Nazi-like diatribe? The pagent organization needs to prove that she did not live up to her obligation. However, accusations and spin is all that they probably will present. With the "Showbiz Tonight" and E! crowd in the tank (like all the MSM), there will not be any curiousity as to whether these charges are true or not.

Dear Carrie, The bottom line is that no matter how Donald Trump stands behind you and how much traditional values Americans and organizations stand behind you, this organization that sponsors this pageant has been hijacked and they want someone vastly other than "traditional values" to be their pageant winner for 2009, if not future years. Work from outside, make appearances as yourself anyway, let this pageant organization go… They will never fully let you back into it and with them you'll always have to watch your back. As yourself, hire a publicity and public appearances booking firm, and go out and truly be American as traditional values Americans know and understand the term. You'll outshine all who oppose you now. You didn't leave that pageant organization, they left you even while you were competing. The loss is theirs. It is amazing the level of mean spirited venom that is thrown at someone for simply representing a viewpoint other than their own that is shelled out by leftists. They are truly lowlifes. Now that they think the story has died down they want to end the embarrassment that Prajean represents to their cause. So they drop her in what they think will be a quiet move. Whatever Prajean decides to do next we should support. We cannot let their tactics work.
No one has sited any commitments Prajean has not completed. All that has been sited is some vague failure to complete commitments. Which ones? Was there one which conflicted with another scheduled date and?

Backing Prejean and still wanting Perez Hilton to be 'a judge' concerned me at the time. It was clear from that news conference that there were those within the pageant who wanted her gone because of her views. Now they have accomplished that. What is needed is for Carrie to put as much distance between herself and anything to do with Miss California and Mr. Trump. They are both OVER.

I don't know if this author is Carrie or her lawyer, since she is spoken in the 3rd person, but regardless I think Carrie was the only thing that made this pageant interesting or worthwhile. When I heard this news today I thought something was sleazy – in none of the news was examples of why she was fired.
I ignore virtually all of these pageants – for the first time I can remember we have a winner who has both beauty and demonstrable courage and integrity (in speaking what was on her heart).
So of course she has to go to uphold the highest traditions of superficiality for this pageant…

I doubt she has a case–remember the nudie photos. Bet they fall back on those. Besides, one has to imagine that in a beauty queen situation, as with any contest winner (Idol, etc.) you agree to a whole lotta stuff when you sign, and it's quite easy for the organization to fire you.

Even though I'm not a fan of Trump, I sort of assumed he was more or less a straight shooter so I've puzzled over this news. The only conclusion I can come up with is Trump is a veteran of show business as well as "regular" business and probably has to swim in the Left cesspool of Hollywood to get things accomplished. I respect Hannity and in the past he's said he thought Trump would do the right thing and get rid of Perez and support Carrie. So far all that's available from the information provided is that she didn't want to appear in Playboy, on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here or The Style Channel. Keith Davis has confirmed that these appearances weren't mandatory. As far as being rude to "her employer", this is the same "employer" who tried to fire her because she answered a question honestly instead of lying, and who did not support her when she was getting crucified for her opinion. Most people wouldn't exactly be cordial. However, had she expressed her admiration for men having anal sex with men then miraculously her "contractual obligations" wouldn't be so important.

What happened to Prajean should be a lesson to all beauty pageant contestants who do not subscribe to the party line. When asked about any of the politically correct subjects, the contestant should reply: "Only those who agree with (fill in the blank) have first amendment rights ergo I respectfully invoke my fifth amendment right not to answer."
There are views people may not hold. This is not new. It's called "Thought Crime" and is well described in Orwell's "1984". All Leftist regimes eventually reach that point.
It seems that firing for murky reasons such as unfulfilled commitments, where no evidence is forthcoming is just fine when the victim is not 'politically correct', but is worthy of investigation when the 'firee' is, say, a White House lawyer. When more and more of the population become 'employees' of the Government, will there be outrage over firing over vague infractions that have more to do with espoused beliefs and less to do with supposed infractions? How is Carrie ineligible to be Miss California over being sanguine with the actual definition of marriage and Sonia Sotomayor is on a fast track to a lifetime appointment as Supreme Court Justice when her racist remarks were far more offensive? Will SHE be asked about 'gay marriage' one wonders? I guess there's some comfort in the fact that Perez Hilton wasn't considered for the Supreme Court.
