Political humor.
I understand why one would call it that. From this angle (and the artist's angle as well, I fully realize), it's more like political tragedy.
Thanks for this and all the other WONDERFUL, SIMPLY WONDERFUL, art you've shown us.

Move along now! Nothing to see here, people!
haha definitely sad but true. I guess you have to learn to laugh at life right?
Thanks for the art.
Would that be related to this piece? In New York, in the only US House race this fall, and for Congress period, the Republicans picked a RINO over a decent conservative guy. He in turn hooked up with the NY Conservative Party. The Dem would otherwise lose, but currently he polls at a solid third of the votes in a three-way race with a high 15% saying "other."
Republican response? Back the RINO even harder.
Why don't they just accept where things are going and back a conservative for 2009? The spot goes up again in 2010, why wait until then to pick the conservatives the people want to vote for right now?
I have suspected for some time that McCain was picked to be the GOP's nominee for the same reason Marcia Clark was picked to prosecute O.J. for murder: They were who the opposition wanted. If my suspicions are correct, then it would logical to assume that money changed hands at the top.
Another reason why Michael Steele should do the right thing and resign. He is the wrong man for the job. He is being steamrolled by the morons at MSNBC and CNN on a daily basis.
And backing RINOs (the same people who gave us speaker Pelosi), we will get eight years of BHO!
Boss Limbaugh for chairman of the RNC. Give the left wing whackos what they want.
Just got something from Steele and had I not known about what he is pulling in N.Y., I might have sent in a donation. Now, I'm sending him one factual ( shall write about the N.Y. candidate being backed ! ), nasty letter; sans any money.
The GOP is stuck on stupid. If America's future wasn't in such deadly, deadly peril from all sides, I'd say let the dumb animal die. But we can't. We need the stubborn old thing; cause a third party ain't gonna do it, friends.
Republicans do not get that conservatives do not like them. They do not like the laziness, the fakery, the spending, the irresponsibility, the lack of honor…
If they did they would be liberals and vote democrat.
Well, if New York is anything like California, true conservatives simply don't win state wide offices. I imagine it's similar to Democrats in Texas. I would bet most of them are more conservative than some of our Republicans.
I know it is nice to say that RINOs are worse than real Democrats. But, as someone who has witnessed first-hand California's fall from grace, I am not sure I can support that statement. Arnold may have been a very disappointing governor, but, believe me, he was way better than the alternative. Furthermore, I really worry about what will happen once he is gone and the Dems have full control over Sacramento.

MEMO TO: RNC, NRCC, GOPSenators.com, etc.
SUBJECT: Biatch, Please!
MESSAGE: If you won't help us then at least don't actively work against your base. What kind of asshat intellectual/moral castrati made the decision to support liberals like Scozzafava et al anyway?
Here is the formula for calculating my planned RNC, NRCC, GOPSenators.com, etc. giving for the 2010 cycle: Republican Leadership Asshats + Scozzafava et al = $0.00
Suck it, Toolbags!
I will not go silently into tyranny.
Sometimes the GOP makes me think of a man running around with a gun to his own head, yelling, "Stop! Or I'll shoot!"
NY-23 is pretty symbolic of the Republican party since GWB elected. This is a party completely disinterested in following principle or even showing a modicum of interest in getting back to basics or correcting its record.
Let them lose the district. Maybe by 2010 leadership smartens up, but I'm not counting on it. I've contended for a while, when it comes to brass tacks Republicans will hand Obama the health care plan he wants.
I can only pity the ghost of Ronald Reagan who's forced daily to watch as these self centered jerks destroy his beloved party.
Marco Rubio for Senate
Because to the leaders of the RINO Party, we appear to be what the Democrats are calling us. You know the mantra: We're the Bitter Clingers, holding on to our hokey religion and our guns, just like the 2.2 million radicals that marched on Washington DC. We were considered rednecks, defense hawks, and bible thumpers back in 76 and 80 when Reagan captured the heart of the country and won in a landslide the second time around. The leadership of the RINO party is content with playing 2nd fiddle to the Dem(Wit)s in Congress. As long as the RINOs play fair, the Dem(wit)s will throw them the ocassional bone. Looks like the Conservatives might actually pick up a seat in Walnut Creek, California, though.
I say we put it down and get the suffering over and done with.
Will the last American please turn out the lights?
Yes you will. You've already done it.
Sometimes the GOP makes me think of putting a gun to my head.
New rallying cry for Conservatives: F_ck the Good Ole Boys
New rallying cry for Conservatives: F_ck the Good Ole Boys
too much like some Deliverance references for my taste, but it is a start
It's a microcosm of the Rep party in general. For some twisted reason, they follow the Media's direction on polls or newscasts touting overwhelming support for Universal Healthcare. They haven't caught up to their base yet and realized people want smaller gov't and more money in their pocket. They are stuck in GWB big government mode, and that is severely detrimental to their campaigns as a whole.
The system is rigged against any "third party interlopers". A two-party system is whats killing the country. After we get tired of some jerk-off with a D at the end of his name, we vote in some jerk-off with an R, and that has been the game we have played. Third party candidates are where the true change in this country will come from if the Reps don't get their collective acts together.
It will be a nightmare; as a fellow Californian, I weep for the fate of this state. We should be rolling in dough, instead, our legislature spends like it's going out of style, and then raises taxes, because after all, its a revenue problem, not a spending problem.
Sounds good to me, the Republicans are no longer interested in conservatism. They have been bitten with the bug of big government, and have contracted the fever of soft socialism. The only cure is the cowbell of getting voted the F-ck out.
As RobCDA put it, Suck it Toolbags.
Doug Hoffman should have been on the GOP ticket. From what I have read, Hoffmann is not just more conservative – he is also a serious and thoughtful guy who has an impressive life story, is locally known and absolutely electable. Last time I looked he was polling at 23%, which is pretty good for an outsider in a three way race. Which means he was a plausible candidate all along. Now the Democrat will take the seat with 35% of the vote. Political malpractice.
I can understand that there are seats where a conservative can´t win. I understand that it´s still better to have a moderate Republican than a liberal Democrat. Well, sometimes. Being electable doesn´t make you a RINO. I understand all that. But for Heaven´s sake, I expect the GOP to at least TRY to get conservative candidates elected. That is what Democrats do: they have ultra-lefties in their safe seats and most of their blue dogs just pretend to be centrists. Though to be fair, if a conservative candidate pretended to be moderate to get elected, the conservative base would probably fall for it and excoriate him.
