----- Here's a link to Cherry Tree Media. Politico: Has the culture war made its way to our children’s iPads? Allan Covert is putting out digital children’s books through Cherry Tree Media that a publicist describes as being “filled with patriotic, American values story themes.” But Covert...

OH SNAP!
In light of Senator Kennedy's demise, whatever the new health reform is called: Obamacare > Kennedycare I'm for it!! so long as it is EXACTLY THE SAME as our good representatives in Congress currently enjoy.
But the downside is how long can you trust this bunch of double-speak Obama worshippers to keep their word?
The shelf life of snowballs in Hell spring to mind?
Wow, this is just like Doonesbury, except funny.
Obama does not have the humility that would allow the renaming of Obamacare
Nice thought and I appreciate your sentiment, but we can't and our future generations can't really afford to provide all Americans with what Congress and federal employees now have. Remember, Obama has already bankrupt the country.
If Michelle wanted it changed it would be changed
The POTUS is /PW
Ah, yup!
You know, I think we all missed a bet back in the 1960's. After JFK's death we should have gone the whole hog and simply declared the U.S. a monarchy with the Kennedy's as our royal family based solely on their overwhelming "charisma." (William the Conqueror may have sudued a nation but the Kennedy's captured the hearts of our chattering classes.) John Kennedy Jr. could have been named King with Bobby and Teddy as co-regents. (This might have kept young John from flying lessons.) We could have been a constituional monarchy with the Kennedy family transmitted into hereditary Grand Dukes of Hyannisport or Royal Princes of Martha's Vineyard. Our nation's elites, and particularly those in the media, could have burbled, fawned, cooed and clucked about how "regal" and "elegant" our royals were without them actually having any real power. The Kennedys could have commanded the covers of "Vogue", "Vanity Fair" and the "New Yorker" ad infinitim without doing any actually damage to government.
It will be officially renamed the minute he decides to stop fighting for it. I'm guessing that will be on September 13th.
Let us all be thankful that The Obama does not have any brothers in politics.
How I hope September 12th changes his mind!
Agreed. however, Michelle still lurks about.
I think parading young childen out to akwardly shill for universal healthcare, seemingly against their will, is SOOOOO honorable and just….sad, and wrong…
Teddy, as a rich scion (not the car, although he sometimes resembled one) got immediate and the finest care available on planet Earth.
This governmental power grab WILL reduce us to mere cattle moving through the stock pens of life… the great unwashed…"take a number, take a seat…take a number take a seat,…"
Government double standard indeed, and not a subject grade schoolers, however ~well borne~ or connected, should be lecturing us about…
Did Kennedy want health care for all or did he want to consolidate power?
Fun Fact of the day: Single Payer Universal Healthcare is corporatism A.KA. Fascism. The bundling of private entities under one body (from the Latin, corpus, hence corporatism) to control and protect every facet. (costs, wages, profits, supply, etc.)
It was a benevolent form of socialism. That is why Winston Churchill praised Fascism as "the antidote for Communism." It provides for all citizens without destroying class structure. (in theory)
My prediction for next year – there will be one third less liberals in congress, let's don't forget that Harry and Nancy preside over the most hated pack of hyenas EVER elected before Obama was even heard of. And as for ACORNs, I prefer ball-peen hammers over the simple nutcracker. Show up at my house and I'll show you what I mean… Here in Vegas, it wasn't a hundred years ago we were still hanging horse thieves on Fremont street downtown, so I welcome Americorps, lemme show you where to put that baton…
more like Oh ZAP!
YOu said it. If you can, go to the website and follow the archived strips from day one. There's several years of them so it will take some time, but it is soo worth it.
too bad Sept 11th did not.
