I am convinced that you ought to "Go Galt" as soon as possible. Really.
Thanks for ruining James Bond for me! LOL!
Your insipid and terribly-drawn little digs at Democrats — y'know, the knee-jerk GOP hot buttons, 'Gun Control' and 'High Taxes' cards — somehow forgot 'The Bush family's endless Iraq war'…'Thatcher and Reagan's Globalization fiasco'…and 'The Cheyney-Haliburton/Blackwell price of Oil' cards that we are so dearly paying off in the US!!
Tthis, you smirking moron Chris Muir — is waht the US is paying for…our US mortgage portfolios would not be in China, Scotland and Germany if Reagan (or was it his monkey?) had not instituted Globalization, which de-centralized banks — and well EVERYTHING, for starters.
Obama is only 40 days into his fight of undoing 30 years of GOP self-destruction of its own citizens.
By the way, what color is today's fear-mongering terrorism warning? Funny how that all went away with Bush!
Good riddance AND a royal flush of the stooooopid GOP ! AMEN.
Galt, John Galt!!! Classic!
Yawn… blah.. blah.. blah… Don't care.
I can hear the music as I read it
The US, E.U. and most other countries are paying for government intervention in private enterprise. What is so painfully obvious is how little you know of global affairs, royal flush. You talk of decentralization as if it wasn't a boon to development for all countries involved. Your simplistical dirgression left out countries like Ireland, which was able to climb out deep recession and develop a substantial economy.
Haliburton provides a valuable service, which is very expensive, wouldn't have been nearly so, if the unmention Clinton administration hadn't set them up with a no-bid contract. Really not sure, though, how much of an impact that makes on current economic situation.
What I do know is that there is plenty of blame for this situation to spread equally amoung both parities and governments around the world. Regardless of how evil you think Bush was, he didn't control the economic environment in Japan, France, and many others that are in way worse shape than the US.
Seriously, would you yo-yos yammering on about "Going John Galt" just do it already? Or is this, as someone pointed out, just the right-wing equivalent of celeb lefties threatening to move to France?
I'd have hoped, having made fun of such nonsense for almost a decade, that, when push came to shove, your side would at least have the courage of its convictions. Maybe not. Definitely not. Well, at least some of you—particularly the handout-hungry ones such as Muir—don't have to fret much about shaving down their income from $250,000.
Please be kind to this poor aflicted individual. He obviously suffers periodic brain cramps
Okey dokey. Thanks.
Why does Chris draw himself as black?
Democratic trolls are always lurking.
I don't get it. Is it supposed to be Sarah Palin? One of these days I'll get to Ayn Rand.
To Royal Flush
What brilliant discourse. Thank you so much for your insightful comments. You really contributed intellectual clarity to the board.

Didn't you see that Hillary reset the button to 9-10-01? We don't have to worry about fanatics blowing us up. Not until tomorrow at least, and by then, we might not have anything worth blowing up, know what I mean?
Osama and his cronies would be dumb to attack the US when, if they wait long enough,Obama just might give them everything they want through incompetence or intention.
Isn't he ready now to talk with the Taliban?
Didn't he threaten to invade Pakistan?
Hasn't he just given Hamas 9 billion? That'll buy a lot of rocket fuel to shoot into Israel. Gadzooks, man, give him time.
Write Putin or Medevev a mash note begging to be loved?
Same with Ahamdinejad who, unfortunately spurned his attentions.
Give the guy time. He can't deliver them Israel up in the first forty days. He's too busy crashing the stock market (which, I believe, was one of Osama's goals on 9-11).
Ditto…and by the way I've been on strike since 2005…there is courage in my conviction.
Mr. Kenny, the thing is that it's possible to "go Galt" by degrees. You have the ability and the will to start a great business, but you choose to stay in a "safe" job instead because there's little upside to your risk-taking; you could choose to take the chance and expand your existing business, but you don't, because if you should happen to be successful it might push you above the Obama threshhold, rendering your effort and risk not worthwhile; you could put in the extra hours and the extra imagination to improve your workplace, increase its efficiency, give it a lift, but perhaps you decide for the time being you'd rather go home and play Guitar Hero. These actions can't be quantified, but do have effects.
40 days into his fight and already Barry's admitted he's "overwhelmed".
Sounds like Barry's stuck in a quagmire. Maybe he should start thinking about a strategic withdrawal.
LOVE THIS COMIC!!!
That is all.
Barry is finding out it is harder to be president when you just can't vote present.
Here is to hoping that the rest of his time is as utterly failure ridden as his past 50 days.
Ain't nothing "periodic" about that brain cramp.
Ironic that this person chose the name "Royal Flush", and the game depicted is clearly Baccarat
The DOW is down how much since Obama took office? I don't think you even know what "going John Galt" actually means, but there is one effect for you. You'll be seeing a lot more in the future.

Today's threat level is "Elevated" (Yellow) and the threat level in the airline sector is "High" or Orange. What's your point again?
Wow, Johnny has the entire left wing spiel memorized so he can spew it right out there on command. Good Johnny! Someone toss him a fish.
My guess:
To psychologically preempt critics from playing race card, and promote the radical idea that nonwhites shouldn't be pressured by society to think and vote alike.

Good lord, Objectivists! Altruism is the root of all evil and all that eh chaps
Classic. I hope this strip plays out. Portago is not exactly Dagny Taggert but i'd love see where it goes. But funny, Chris!
