Name this movie: An ace CIA operative, condemned as a rogue and now hunted by the Company, bashes and crashes his way through colorful foreign settings, pursued by heavily armed hit men, while back at Langley headquarters an inscrutable deputy director and one of his top lieutenants are arousing the...

Love it! Let's throw all unions overboard.
Oh man! That is priceless. Well done. Well done.
Damn, Chris, that was good! Oh, what I wouldn't give to roll up the ole sleeves and toss a few of my own moccasins overboard!
I have a suggestion. Why don't we all send a box of tea bags to Congress? Many of us do not live close to those cities that are holding "tea parties", and we could make our point this way.
How about it, will you join me?
Hilarious. Really.
Not necessarily in the way you intended, though.
I have better idea. There is apparently a website that sells various types of manure (to use a polite word for it). Why waste good tea when packages of donkey and elephant crap would send just as clear a messgae?
(although I do understand the historical significance of the tea party concept)
I have wondered if politicians want to retain power by taxing those who produce and give to those who don't produce (which has been done for the last 70 years but on steroids by The One – is a "Tea Party" on the horizon?
The balance of "givers" to "takers" is tipping precariously towards the "takers" but depends on the continued coperation of the "givers".
<golf clap>
Hysterical! Poor Elias though, rendered to the ocean floor. tsk tsk
Hopefully someone in Michigan will read this.
WASHINGTON DC TEA PARTY
I sent the below letter to Barack Obama, and included a tea bag:
——————————————–
Mr. President,
As the early colonists of the USA did on December 16, 1773 I am starting a Washington DC Tea Party for the same reason as they did: TOO MANY TAXES. THE STIMULUS TAX INCREASE is the straw that broke the taxpayers back.
This is my token way of tossing YOUR TEA into Boston Harbor. I will be contacting as many people as I can to do the same thing if they feel the government is overtaxing us. We need TAX RELIEF, not a bunch of NEW TAXES. No reply necessary, except to start putting the taxpayer first.
———————————————
I encourage anyone who feels the stimulus bill is the tax that broke the taxpayers back to do the same. Please pass this idea along to others. Send the president a tea bag, and include a SHORT, polite letter explaining why you are doing it. The address to send it is:
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW
Washington DC
20500
I joined in on the Tea Party on Friday in Atlanta, GA. I was impressed with the turnout. There were between 200 and 300 people there in a driving rain. People are upset with the government and they are beginning to wake up.
Nicely done.
Targeting Obama with this protest is, however, a pointless exercise. He's completely bulletproof unless something truly horrible happens during his first watch. Which none of us want to see.
What we need to do is work toward regaining control of Congress. Gridlock is right now our only real hope of saving America.
Will Rogers once said (reading from a newspaper headline), " 'Congress Is Deadlocked And Cannot Act'. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that is the greatest blessing that could ever befall this country!"
Go look up any collection of his quotes on government…you'd swear he was still alive today.
I wonder who Elias is meant to represent in the comic? Maybe the part of the Republican Party that worries about what the New York Times might say?
Well done, Chris Muir.
People are upset everywhere in the USA right now — the Tea Party attendees represent (my guess) about 1% of those nationwide who would if they could and certainly seem to want to. I can go into any store, call any random rep., stop and talk with any random person on the street and I hear the same thing everywhere: people are both really concerned with and mostly disgusted by Obama, Pelos and Reid.
I was at the Denver Tea Party and was completely stunned at the turn out, as was the MSM who proudly decided not to report on the gathering of hard working citizens that are lothe to see their paychecks converted into re-election bribes. It's a good start, we need to keep the ball rolling
If you don't like America and her policies then get the hell out! Obama is the peoples chosen leader and what he says goes. Remember the Confederacy lost the Civil War!
You must not shop where Nancy Pelosi sends her servants.
Ja vol mein Fuher!
"Light in his moccasins"? Kill him because he has a differing opinion?
Nice. Way to go with the homophobia and endorsement of violence against those who aren't "like us."
Yeah, yeah: "It's just a cartoon. It's supposed to be edgy."
If a liberal publication ran a cartoon that joked about killing someone with conservative opinions, how many people here would be aghast and condemning those "intolerant libs"?
The ships were in the harbor, it's not like he had a real long ways to swim to the dock. Calm down.
Read the cartoon's words and use of bold font for "Elias was …" It's pretty clear that the author meant to imply that Elias' fellow revolutionaries didn't want to hear his words and thought it best to do away with him.
Awesome. Just the kind of behavior one would expect of Stalin, Mao, Castro and others. It makes for a "humorous" cartoon, but what does the cartoon really endorse? The answer is intolerance and unyielding devotion to ideology.
Step back and think about it. Think about people have used cartoons and other art forms as part of propaganda to reinforce ideologies and marginalize opposing ideas.
Tell it to Sean Penn and Alec Baldwin. Where have you been for the past eight years?
I'm with Andrew here: "simkatu", you need to remember the Nazis lost WWII.
Okay, tomorrow we will strive to ban all satire, in word or art form. Now go have a nice warm cup of tea with your Melba toast.
1. "If you don't like America and her policies then get the hell out!"
I don't think many readers of this site don't "like" America. America and policy are two separate things.
2. "Obama is the people[']s chosen leader and what he says goes."
You may want to look into the system of checks and balances the Constitution established.
The whole 'what I say goes' thing only works for dictators and, in some circumstances, moms and dads.
3. "Remember the Confederacy lost the Civil War!"
The Boston Tea Party happened on December 16, 1773. Perhaps you are confusing the original
confederation of 13 states during the revolutionary era with the Confederate States of America formed
by the seceded states in 1861.

Gunnar always was a little light in his moccasins…
LOL
Let's get those states that have referendum power to recall all those reps and congress people who voted for this big spending bill. Let's not wait for the 2010 election. Recall them now!!
I agree. I anticipate an Obama recall before his term is up. Why not do the same for his army? I am one of the unfortunates who has the republicrat Arlen Specter, who cast the deciding vote for the stimulus. I might see what I can do to help put him in the unemployment line with all the thousands he voted to put there.
