The film was a great disappointment.
I expected a lot but it only turned out to be an irritating camera-shaking videogame. The plot-line was ridiculous and had great holes.
The biggest crap in 2009!!!

It’s time writers should read more traditional literature to create strong storylines. Not silly, mindless violent cinematic video-games.

What a stupid review. You insist on trying to pervert the film into an attack on you as a white man, when the film clearly depicts all humans as complex, sometimes stupid, sometimes heroic. And to say that the aliens represent blacks is stunningly insipid, especially since many of the people who either fear or exploit the aliens are black humans.

This is the only remotely bad review i've given, because i mostly have the common sense to avoid crap i'm gonna hate. When you watch a documentary about a social issue do you become angry when the film doesn't explain how someone's car works? How about if someone's car radio works, while the engine won't run? The humans had access to Alien technology, sure, but after 20 years of research they were still only scratching the surface with weaponry. Analyzing more tech is yet to come. Maybe the ship was designed in such a way that allowed it to hover with little or no fuel, and the reason we don't understand its design is because of the lack of omniscient narration… kind of like real life.

p.s. Magnets… eh?

You're incredibly racist suggesting only white American farmers that lived two centuries ago have the intelligence and drive to self-govern immediately after colonial rule but native South Africans are inherently unable to govern themselves in their own prosperous and bountiful land using all of the modern pre-built financial, transport, communication, and legal infrastructure available to them since 1994.

It's a horribly racist worldview that you have, but if that's what you truly believe then nothing any of us on the other side of the issue can say will change your mind.

I thought the movie was very good. My only complaints(which isnt really a complaint) was they showed the clip of the alien battle suit catching the rocket shot at the ship, I liked it-but i knew it was coming, I wish it was a suprise. However that small scene was an "ohh this movie looks, i want to see this" to the viewer. so i understand why they put it in the trailer, other then that it was fantastic and i enjoy that they left alot of questions unanswered, that's what imagination is for.

Of course a guy who never held any responsibility, never crafted a single piece of legislation, is likely to be ineffective. Of course a guy whose only tangible achievement at 47 is the writing of 2 (two!) autobiographies is a tad self-centered and out of touch. Conservatives pointed this out last year. Even so, he has already done more than enough damage. The reasons why we need him to fail have muliplied since January 20th.

Syfy will ruin the series like they have done so many times before. Farscape is a prime example.
