But really, the precise numbers tend to deflect the essential point: even if it's "only" 39%, the salient fact is that this particular voting bloc commits serious crime at rates far, far disproportionate to its size. This indeed says it all. Just who do you believe it is that is chosen to write what goes into our university textbooks? Where in the world besides going to the worlds most educated and experienced scholars do you suggest we go that we can trust to be telling us only facts about a given subject? Glenn Beck? The preacher next door?

Knowledge is not based on a bunch of opinions about something, one guys opinion no more or less valuable then the nexts. All the opinions in the world do not equal one factual truth, no matter whether the opinions come from people who share your own ideas on it or not.

And isn't it convenient for you to believe that the source of eyewitness photos and quotes taken from sources too far and widely varied for ourselves to have been there (journalism);' as well as the source of scholarship and all those texts written and taught by the worlds smartest and most educated people on a given subject, (academics) — have magically been infiltrated by people plotting to tell you lies about things your daddy told you were good!
