Hey Rob and all who may feel the same way. . . . . . . .Admittedly, there really are some great episodes, but the
intensity unravels for me every time I hear KS (Jack) and or some of the other characters spew their misguided and liberal crap on global warming and trying to drag us all into the invisible world of carbon
credits. I don't know if they actually believe we can collectively control the sun . They just don't get how small we really are in the influence of environmental living conditions - even with the collective efforts of 6-7 billion
people. By the way that number is starting to look rather puny compared to the bucks that messiah o has
racked up in debt to the next 2 generations for starters. Like I said, I enjoy the show until the strongmen of the show get all whimpy on us in one of the final commercials. And a lot of fans froze their rears during
the extended 4 month winter we're all coming out of.. So much for Gore's garbage (don't ya think??????)

24 is in my opinion one of the best tv series ever. Please don't ruin it by bringing the left wing agenda into it.

The way I understand it... Joel Surnow was involved in the first 8 episodes of this season before he quit. There was apparently much debate about the torture issue and the network and factions within the show were pushing to have a more "politically correct" program. Surnow might have just had enough and left. So far it's been enjoyable, but I'm expecting the season to turn to the left after we get through the 8 Surnow-influenced episodes. I hope not, but we'll see.

Though some of you make very good points you are missing one major point. Jack is not suppose to have a political agenda, whether or not the show does. Obviously Jack being questioned infront of a committee about the way in which he has questioned terrorist suspects, reflects what is currently happening in our country with Obama coming into office. The big question is, How does Jack react? He has never done something for a political agenda, but rather for America. He does what he needs to do because it is the right thing to do, it is how he has saved so many lives. Last, we are not better than the terrorists as much as just plain different. We do not believe that taking other peoples lives for the sake of different religious or political views as they do. We do what we need to in order to protect this country. As far as torture I do not think it is always the answer but it has proven to work especially in the case of uncovering the plot to blowup the Brooklyn Bridge. I will post the link if people would like, but if you do not know about this plot and how it was discovered and stopped, it was a crazy story(real life).

Ha, Sue Denim. Nice 24 universe Presidential history.

One addendum. Though the sleazeball wimp Logan had an "R," after his name, Surnow clearly modelled hom on Democrat John Kerry.

I mean, they even named Logan after Kerry hometown airtport in Boston.

How subtle is that!

I also heard Rush yesterday say that he has already watched the first 4 hours and that we won't be disappointed. It is only on his recommendation that I am willing to give the show another chance and watch it on Sunday and Monday nights. If I even see a hint of that sappy, touchy-feely, girly-man nonsense like 24's last season of "chick flicks", I'm outta there.

I did not like last season. I thought they blew a lot of great opportunities and wimped out on others. But I've already got my Tivo set to record it. I missed Redemption, but the UN and NGOs deserve a good talking back to.
