Let's just hope that the government runs GM as smoothly and efficiently as it runs everything else.
The new Dr. Strangelove…the mainstream media with every fascist move that the Obama Administration makes must have so many thrills running up their legs- those guys in the liberal media must have to run home and change their panties every few minutes, and you can imagine what happens to them when he takes off his shirt…of course, the original Strangelove was nothing but a fictitious character- but so is Obama- the guy's far worse than simply an empty suit- he's a puppet…all he really seems to know how to do himself is party.

How to Save GM?
Twenty years ago I was walking down Church St. Toronto, the center of the gay community. The gay men were wearing large shorts with leg pockets. I found it odd. Five yrs later the straight community were wearing the same shorts. In short, if the gay community takes to the new insect looking cars, in about five years the rest of the population will follow suit.

All the new fuel efficient cars somehow have come to resemble INSECTS. Cars used to look like tigers, birds or vaginas. In the mood for fortelling the future, I imagine PBS and the major networks pumping the airwaves with cute cuddly stories about "Our Friends" the much maligned insect.
Hollywood will do its part, producing films where the hero is a mutant insect, with a big heart, who spends his/her time saving the planet, of course feeding on the rich.

It is Number 44 as the Prince Borg, soon to be revealed in the new Star Trek movies, as soon as they explain the who and how of going back in time to stop the Borg Queen before the the new movie even takes place. I have yet to notice butt-less leather chaps to be a major new fashion statement, not even for parades, therefore there are boundaries even straight men will not cross. It is hard to even find too many pick ups with shorter than an 8 foot bed (size of a full sheet of plywood), unless they are for going to and from work and they only want some "just in case" room, so "manly men" period are not going to be fond of the new micro-boxes, as if they ever were.
Last I heard, THE ONE is going to make it so Toyota and other foriegn car makers can't get their cars into the US. Can Obama just up and do that? Doesn't he need approval from congress?

60 rising to perhaps 70% government ownership and complete control of GM with as soft a landing as possible for the unions vs a standard restructuring bankruptcy, that is what you need to "get." Toss in that cars like the Chevy Volt would never make it in a true competitive market, therefore the entire market is being moved away from true competitive, by the forced manufacture by GM of "green" vehicles as well as hiking the mileage rules over an unreasonable timeframe. Which is the revealed part of the planned enforced push to "save the planet" by locking in environmentalist votes while making AlGore's company (and others) many billions of American dollars. It will have to be very much many as the coming inflation will severely knock down the actual worth of a dollar.
No GM, no Chevy, no Volt, no cars to practically give away until people become used to accepting "needed" compromises like much more of your earnings going to the "hidden taxes" of the "green scheme." What is there that is hard to "get?"

I just reviewed the Wikipedia CAFE standards article. The two-fleet rule the UAW pushed through (Calculation section) has long penalized American makers by forcing them to make unprofitable small cars in the US. Now we have seen where that leads. It makes sense they will have to try something to keep GM going, or should I say keep the remaining union people working, but on a more profitable basis than before. Keeping the best small-car competitors out may seem smart to the current Administration, they could cite low supply and charge more, until they hear from our trading partners in the world debt markets. I was checking the CAFE standards for certain changes, now that the EPA has declared carbon dioxide a dangerous pollutant an executive branch exclusion move might be tried by changing certain emissions standards.

But sometimes a product suffers a backlash if its identified as a "gay" product, or something that homosexuals prefer. Particularly if it's a big ticket item. The Chrysler PT Cruiser was one, and there are other products that get that stigma of being identified with homosexuals that effects sales, sometimes positively, usually negatively.

I must have missed the press release, I see more than a few of those PT Cruisers around yet never heard of a gay connection. I had heard Chrysler shot themselves in the foot by offering discounts from Day 1, severely underestimating the popularity and missing out on much profit. The marketing also appears distorted, as every one I have noticed lately says it is "xxxxxxx Edition," too much variety can scare customers away.

They're called Czars – which are really just unconfirmed Cabinet Secretaries. He appoints them to bypass the Congressional confirmation process. Does that tell you anything about how much he respects the COTUS. Then there are his remarks about holding people who MIGHT cause trouble indefinitely. He was referring to Gitmo detainees, but that takes his legal powers a step further than even the Bush admin dared to go. Do you remember the targets of the DHS report? Oh yeah, that would be most of us posting here … we might cause trouble someday too. He's given the EPA and the FCC powers to impose regulations that he knows he can't get through Congress.
Yeah, I don't see a whole lot of respect for separation of powers and checks and balances in this guy.

They're called Czars – which are really just unconfirmed Cabinet Secretaries. He appoints them to bypass the Congressional confirmation process. Does that tell you anything about how much he respects the COTUS. Then there are his remarks about holding people who MIGHT cause trouble indefinitely. He was referring to Gitmo detainees, but that takes his legal powers a step further than even the Bush admin dared to go. Do you remember the targets of the DHS report? Oh yeah, that would be most of us posting here … we might cause trouble someday too. He's given the EPA and the FCC powers to impose regulations that he knows he can't get through Congress.
Yeah, I don't see a whole lot of respect for separation of powers and checks and balances in this guy.
Unless you're "undocumented" and really don't want to learn the English language. Meanwhile, as long as you're receiving government "aid" (aka food stamps, social security, WIC, free tuition or government scholarships) your children, by law, must attend government (aka "public") schools to receive an education (aka social programming).
No, that's not ringing any bells. I'm not really an on-line gamer, though I do enjoy PC and PS2 games.
