That's a good call since for some reason Disney does not draw their animals let us just say "anatomically correct". Now I wonder what meaning liberals can glean from that.

Nutcase with a sign blocking traffic trying to force everyone to take subversive literature:

The troops are baby killers and this war is evil and W should be assassinated.

Guy in Car trying to get hone from work: That's unpatriotic, get the heck out of the road the light is green!

Medai Matters guy with hidden mike recorder: Hee Hee we got another Neocon making a nutjob comment, wait till the editing department gets this.

Actually it comes from lawyers. We had a HR training session at work that was company mandated. The HR trainer said there was a law suit where someone prevailed because they were referred to as Oriental.

I asked how that word is discriminative. I was told that some Oriental person felt it was so. I said who because I have never heard that word used derogatively and quite frankly it offended me that someone would state it was. I was told it is a law suit, so just don't say it. I said so what word do you use. He said Asian. I said that is ridiculous because Indian people live on the Asian continent and can be considered Asian. They are not Oriental. The HR guy got upset with me and told me it was now corporate policy and not open for discussion when he could no longer defend the ridiculous claim. To this day I refuse to say Asian. It is non-descriptive and meaningless and I will not let them redefine words to suit their idiotic notions. The word Oriental has always been a simple discriptive reference. Oriental/Occidental etc. and nothing more is meant by it.

Look how "PC" people like Rush and Newt got all of a sudden. They were all so indignant and high-minded against Sotomayor because she was so un-PC, per the new PC rules of the right.

Its the same crap. Sorry. Just sayin'.

what's that I hear? A clarion call? It must be the Inaugural CD's Monday Morning Challenge!

Please find me one person anywhere on the internet that has argued that it is appropriate and acceptable for someone to make fun of Sarah Palin's 2 year old child & special condition. That's the challenge, and I welcome anyone to help us identify such wretched shameful behavior.

I think this is a difficult challenge. I don't think there are very many. I sure hope there aren't.

And at the very least, if you are able to find some, then I'd make the case to all of you that such people are an embarassment to the left as well as to us all. (In the same vein as those posts I presented from free republic the other day!)

thank you for the long post. I agree that its reasonable for some to find it tiresome to keep up with frequently changing "correct language". And I would defend with someone who blunders in their attempts to us "correct language" provided that its an honest mistake. I think this is fair.

on the other hand, I think that politeness dictates that we always do our best to respect others insofar as: They say they would like to be called X / a reasonable and genuine attempt to refer to them as X should be made. Again, not out of political correctness, but out of reasonable decency.

It's time that "moderate and conservative" Dems in more conservative areas of this country be held accoutable for the actual damage they are causing our country. I want ALL the so-called "conservative" Demorats to GO HOME (for a change, what? like D.C. is sooo nice this time of year? IT'S NOT, I've been there in July and August!) and EXPLAIN how "Cap and Trade" BENEFITS Jack and Jill Sixpack. There is NO RATIONAL way any DEMOCRAT can truthfully explain an attack on the working people of this country, it's a vote to please party leadership. I think it's time to purge the party of B.S.ers like Snowe, Collins and the gang of eight that supported "Cap and Trade". They are voting in their own best interests, let's see how well they fair as Democrats, like Specter. It's time to say "Bu-bye liars, bu-bye!"
