I don’t mean to judge them too harshly, but that’s what we’d say about a dude that flipped out in public like those two whack jobs at the White House Correspondence Dinner who harassed Donald Rumsfeld and his wife as they entered the building – as invited guests. I don’t know who these women are – and if they’ve lost family in Iraq or anywhere else, God Bless’em, but…damn. They’re the type of crazy that makes you realize the word crazy is overused.
Cindy Sheehan reportedly saw it and said, “That’s some crazy-ass women right there.” Roseanne Barr was heard to reply, “No sh*t Sheehan.”
Crazy women are more off-putting than crazy men. That’s why “Obsessed” was such a hit, men are scared of crazy women. Like the Rumsfeld-Code Pink video, it featured two women, one crazy from the get go. The other one was rational, but by the end, said, “I’ma show you crazy!!”
The news is dominated today by crazy women, and by one sane woman who’s being depicted as crazy – Carrie Prejean. Yeah, she’s as nutty as a Snickers, espousing crackpot beliefs that are in line with, oh, seventy-five percent of the population. Where’s the padded cell? Her situation and Alec Baldwin’s appearance on Letterman this week lead me to believe Right Wing Christian is the new gay. I know that was a fairly popular sentiment back when “The Passion of the Christ” came out, and I rejected it then. But the way Baldwin talked about his brother Stephen’s religious and political conversion, as if even knowing a Christian right winger was creepy, made me wonder if Alec thought his brother’s “condition” was contagious.
But back to crazy women and the lies they utter-stutter, and Nancy Pelosi’s stammering stuttering follow-up to her initial denial, which no one believes. She reminded me of the Mayor of Amity, repeating, “I was acting…I was acting in the town’s best interest. In the town’s best interest. I was acting in the town’s best interest!” She’s claiming now she was lied to. I sense that she’ll eventually crumble, admit she was briefed on EIT’s, and claim she was bullied into it. It will all come back to Bush.
After her two denials, can Democrats finally admit that Bush isn’t the first ineloquent politician in the world? Most are. The constant fawning over Obama because he is eloquent reeks of “the soft bigotry of low expectations.” Which inarticulate boob first used that phrase?
Back to the Shrill Patrol vs. Rumsfeld. I’ve always found the “war criminal” charge from the far left to be repetitive and redundant, not to mention repetitive and redundant. They think war’s a crime, anyway, so what’s a war criminal? I’m not looking for help from Webster’s on this – I won’t be swayed.
I hate when other people do this, but I’m gonna do it anyway. In their hearts, I don’t believe that these particular loons give a rip about “One million dead Iraqis.” A million sounds better than forty-three hundred, which would be roughly the number of Americans who have given their lives for their country in Iraq.
The left always embraces nuts like this, while we on the right are always put on the defensive when one of our likeminded cohorts does something ridiculous. Like in the case of Joe the Plumber, and his unwillingness to let his kids be around them thar “queers.” We distance, they embrace.
They’ve figured out, as evidenced by Obama’s Come to Jesus speech in Philadelphia, “A More Perfect Union” (Thanks, Obama, for only stealing the title this time). Wright was portrayed as his crazy uncle, the one who gets drunk and puts his you-know-what in the mashed potatoes. I know, Obama eventually had to denounce Wright, but he got way more chances than we tend to give our guys the boot the minute they signal the guy in the next stall over in a public restroom.
If we didn’t at least act as accomplices in the widespread shaming of Larry Craig, who knows? Maybe he’d be hassled to this day by hysterical crazies bellowing “AIRPORT CRIMINAL! AIRPORT CRIMINAL! HE PROPOSITIONED MILLIONS OF MEN IN THE PUBLIC RESTROOM!”

So, only about 60% of the population disagree, Vince. What difference does it make? Is this the sort of issue that should be decided by a majority of the population? Is it all right for gays to be denied marriage NOW… until public opinion shifts "as the years go on"?
Or is it a basic civil rights issue, as most proponents agree?
The percentage doesn't matter. Just because gay marriage supporters are rounding second doesn't mean the ball's out of the park.

Not the point. A sizable portion of the American public is opposed to gay marriage, mostly on principled grounds, but the anti-conservative/Christian crowd can't accept this and instead employs the old Soviet tactic of labeling its opponents as politically insane. Cannon could have phrased it another way that underscores the hyperbole and hypocrisy of this crowd: Yeah, she’s as nutty as a Snickers, espousing crackpot beliefs that are in line with, oh, President and Vice-President of the United States of America. Who get a pass, by the way, because it's not really about gay marriage or gay rights — it's about a seething cauldron of hatred for anyone who is unapologetically conservative and Christian.
This is nothing new, it's just growing. As a radical student at Berkeley in the 60s, I hung out with all the radicals on campus (anybody remember who Bettina Aptheker is?), but when I wasn't in class or demonstrating in some left wing cause or another, I went back to my dorm, did what they would call a makeover today, and went out on my dates with the sorority girls or the young ladies from the "good" boarding houses and dorms. Politics is one thing, dating is quite another.
I just roll my eyes at them and think this is what the freedoms of protest and speech gives us…. They just don't realize that because of their actions in an attempt to be heard, they are just pushing people away while the said people are putting their fingers in their ears singing LALALALALALA!!!!
Code Pinkers, NOW, Peta activists– I'm guessing frustration of many sorts has a lot to do with their activism. Most women I know don't have the time or inclination to parade around waving signs. We've got lives.

Those code pinkers were Madea Benjamin and that ugly, inside and out, woman who shrieked at Condi Rice when she was to begin Congressional testimony last year (the loon had fake blood on her hands when she shrieked at Condi).
I know people who belong to Code Pink or sympathize with them. You can confront them with documentation that disprove their arguments point by point. They only become more shrill and irrational.
As they get closer and closer to the edge of insanity, I look for one of these folks to go completely over the edge and physically attack someone.
I would say that it's no not growing so much as it's growing nastier.
Just out of curiosity, what exactly would these actions entail? I mean beyond mockery and criticism, what would you have people do? Or what specifically are YOU willing to do beyond sitting behind your keyboard and calling for other people's action?

Look at the anti-war protestors, there were instances of people with yellow ribbons being spit on, having objects thrown at them, and their property vandalized. It kind of defeats the purpose of a "march for peace" when you're threatening to or attempting to do harm to those who disagree.

It is not 'ridiculous' to distance your children from a population that makes up half of sex offenders while being 3% of the population. There are plenty of other people to keep your children away from but this population is continually telling you that you are a crazy hater if you are concerned. Sexual diseases and promiscuity are far higher with homosexuals than the general population.

I am talking about letting folks like the code Pinkers having it verbally with both barrels. In responding to chaos, I used a term for the people who assaulted Rumsfield which is a more earthy euphemism for idiots. That apparently didn't wash with the site administrator (my bad.) Primer is more correct. Perhaps a better example is why does John Ziegler get handcuffed for protesting Katie Couric while Code Pink gets to do what they did to Rumsfield with apparent impunity?
I'm sure you're right. But I think I know why so many comments are going off in this direction. When Sarah Palin first came on the scene, the first thing most people noticed was that she was a beauty, and I swear that had a lot to do with the hate she got from the left. Bad enough that she had the wrong politics, but she had to be gorgeous as well. I have seen so many sites try to find the most unflattering photos of Sarah possible and then heap ridicule on her from every angle. And the question becomes why? Why do they resent her so much? Is it because they're jealous? Do they resent her beauty? Or do they not like the fact that she seems so happy?
There's a bitterness to the women who go after Palin that transcends politics. It's personal. So it's really hard not to wonder where it comes from. It's not that big of a leap to think these women must be unfulfilled in some way. And Garofolo kind of puts herself out there in a very specific way in regard to her appearance. She reduced the size of her breasts, tattooed large portions of visible parts of her body, wears unflattering clothes/glasses and so on. Why? She seems to go out of her way to be unappealing to men– as do lots of feminists. It seems they want to be unattractive and in my mind that's a legitimate topic for conversation.

Ok, so you want to give it to Code Pink verbally with both barrels. Nothing wrong with that, protected speech and all. But again, what does that mean? I don't think "political correctness" is keeping anyone here or on talk radio or in places like Fox News or The New York Post or Townhall.com et al. from saying exactly what they like about Code Pink. What more do you think should be done?
Personally I think the Pinkies who harassed Rumsfeld deserve to be kicked off the private hotel property just as Ziegler did when tried to harass Couric on private college property. Whether the hotel was correct in its handling of security is debatable but hardly some sort of conspiracy of 'political correctness'. And Ziegler was handcuffed because he refused to comply with security officials.
David Horowitz was right there with us. He made it out too. Most of them stuck with the party line, and went on to national radical activities, or the more subtle shift into journalism, or their favorite parking spot–university teaching positions. I'm about the only one of that gang who didn't become either famous or infamous. I turned family-man too soon, and conservative too late. I'm known today mostly for my lousy timing.

She's part of George Soro's pipeline for funding. I witnessed her first hand, in 2000, when she screamed "shut up!" repeatedly at a group of little girls, who were holding a banner in support of health care, and taking turns speaking at a microphone at a city hall in San Francisco, talking about the issue and how it impacted children. Benjamin is a social disease, a spoiled, selfish woman, who attacks a marine recruiting center, makes death threats, and cozies up to despots like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Saddam Hussein. The majority of women (and men) who are involved with code pink are just like her. And the other thing I don't get is this. I own a restaurant where a former Secretary of Defence would pop in to eat and some crazy stands in the middle of the restaurant screaming nutbag things. Why do I allow this to go on. If it were me I'd have security escort the women outside at gunpoint if need be because the women became violent. Then I'd call the cops and have the two arrested and I file real charges for assault and I would not allow the DA to drop them either.

I think the figure WAS getting smaller, EVEN AMONG GAYS. I think the 75% number is pretty accurate considering states with same-sex marriage barely got them to pass, and umm… only a few of states allow them.
I still think they have a long way to go. There are more lefties per capita today, but compared to the said Bettina, her dad Herbert, David Horowitz (yes, that David Horowitz), Robert Scheer, Huey Newton, Bobby Seal, Eldridge Cleaver, the Berkeley contingent of the Weathermen (before they became the Weather Underground), The Student Non-Violent Co-Ordinating Committee and the rest of my little circle of friends, today's lefties are pure wuss. And that was just one group that circled around one university. Now multiply that by the number of universities which were under constant attack from the left nationwide. We would have used Cindy Sheehan to bring us beer, and made the Code Pinkers bake pies so they could pass the talent on to Auntie Fascist. I'm no pushover, but sometimes I'm amazed I survived it all, particularly when I turned on them when the senseless violence started.

My older brother who is 58 made sure his little brothers were tuned into what was going on good and bad. He was at the University of Miami in 68 when the Republican convention was in Miami. We went down with him (my mom flipped out on my older brother for taking us, I was 9 and my middle brother was 12)and saw all the rukus (Yippies, etc.) that was taking place, a more controlled version of Chicago, if you will. I originally only mentioned Bettina Aptheker because we were discussing the weird women on the left. I know we're supposed to be above judging by outward appearances, but that woman's face could stop a sundial. She makes the G-Beast666 look like Carrie Prejean.
PS: I was only in the South in '64, and only made it as far as Birmingham, Selma and Oxford. I've never been to Florida, though my kids have, and I have friends and family stretching from Gulf Breeze to Tampa to Miami. A cousin of mine was a Lutheran Pastor in Temple Terrace.
The point is that homosexuals make up a hugely disproportionate amount of molesters compared to their percentage of the population. Why is that? Why do 45% of homosexual men report being molested as children themselves. Is this completely irrelevent? It's not about being hateful its just the truth and we should be able to talk about it.
Gay doesn't rub off. But there has to be certain factors in place for a child to be vulnerable. Not all children raised by distant dads and overprotective mothers will end up homosexual but all homosexuals have some variation of that dynamic in their upbringing.
I spent 20 years in that life and I know it well. Gays can be very nice, productive and decent – as can many people who are suffering from different disorders. What bothers me is the complete lack of introspection in that community as to why there is such compulsive promiscuity. You either accept that they were born that way or you are the enemy.

I don't support Code Pink's principles or tactics, but you lost your argument after the first sentence. This is one of the poorest posts I've read on this blog, and it diminishes the contributions of others greatly. What right do you have to objectify women in this way, suggesting they need to "get laid?" Crazy women dominate the news? What does "crazy" mean anyway? You're generalization of these women suggests that all women are only bit players in the political discourse. I identity myself as a moderate conservative, but it is difficult to stand under the same tent with people who share views such as yours. Stop dragging your knuckles and act like a man.
I'm not certain if Cognitive Dissonance's distraction attempts is at the "firing chaff and flares" or one of the improbable evasive maneuvers seen in some anime series like Macross.
With the exception of representing local businesses dealing with the members of the San Francisco Labor Council and their affiliate unions, my life has been amazingly mundane in San Francisco. Haven't had a death-threat in nearly seven years. Outside of the activist far left, I have no real enemies, and there are more closet conservatives in this town than anyone would believe. Of all things, the big surprise is that the younger people are not nearly as far left as their parents.
My epiphany came in one of those unexpected twists. As the coordinator for the Ventura County mock trial competition in 1988, it was my job to recruit lawyers to help the students on the prosecution and defense teams. As coordinator, I had to make sure that both teams were getting all the law they needed to represent each position fully. That year, the issue was gun control. I went into that job as a knee-jerk gun-grabber. After doing all the research I could possibly squeeze in within the two month time frame on both sides of the issue, I came out of the job as a Second Amendment purist. That began my slow march into conservatism. I wouldn't even switch to the Republican Party until 1994. The concept of the sovereignty of the states came along with that epiphany, and that is why I often sound more like a Southerner than a Yankee.
Footnote: Our teams placed second in the California State Competition that year. My son led the defense team, arguing that the Second Amendment prohibited California from outlawing individual gun ownership. It only took the US Supreme Court twenty-one years to catch up with us.

Well George W Bush said that we do not torture and there have been 98 deaths of detainees while being detained. 38 I think or 34 died while enduring enhanced interrogation techniques. And Dicj Cheney also said repeatedly that we do not torture. I would think that they both fit into the other than sane person category that you are referring to.
So standing in a public restaraunt screaming at the top of your lungs at a white house official who is not even in power anymore is not good enough to be termed "Crazy". What pray tell is? And exactly what is the generalization. Does Code Pink condemn the antics of these two women? Ha ve they asked them to quit representing themselves as members of these groups? No, then it is pretty safe to assume that members of Code Pink act in this way that is "Crazy".

The buck stops here. I am a lousy loser, but since I was the mock trial coordinator, I couldn't murder the guy who cost us the win in Sacramento. My son had begged me to be allowed to give the final summation, but I was afraid it would look like favoritism. So I gave the spot to a very articulate young man, whose parents were ultra-liberals, but he had always worked for the team previously regardless of his personal feelings. I didn't see it coming. He completely dumped his argument which I had approved, spent five minutes on a rambling discussion of the Second Amendment as some sort of abstract philosophy, and threw the winning argument under the bus. I had to be nice for the sake of the teams, but it wasn't easy. Awhile later, I found out that the members of both teams ostracized him and never spoke to him again. As for my son, his academic decathlon team (which I had nothing to do with) won the California State Academic Decathlon a month later, so he wasn't angry for too long.
As a gay man, your knowledge has serious holes that one could drive a truck through. I was raised by my Mom & Dad who–shock–are still married! My Mom was a homemaker while Dad went to work. Being gay is not a disorder than being straight is one. I tried living the straight life & was very unhappy for the most of it. I have been far more happy as a gay man. Yes, it's natural as rain for me to be gay as it is for you to be straight. God has made us different for a reason.
There's also compulsive promiscuity in the straight world. This is where your thesis sinks like a stone.

My huh… do what, moment came as a teenager, growing into a young man through the Carter years, and the obvious transition into Reagan. The confident professionalism of Reagan and his team was night and day for me. Serious people dealing with a dangerous world in a firm no $hit attitude, while lifting the spirit of this nation with him. As a student of human nature, I agree entirely on that theory. I personally have lived with homosexuals and determined this to be true many years ago. Invariably, the result of an overbearing mother and a quiescent, subservient father, many times do produce sexually deviant children.

Best I can come up with was The Mamas and the Papas (that's why I went), Jimi Hendrix (he supposedly played The Star Spangled Banner, but if he did, I don't remember it), Big Brother and the Holding Company (Janis Joplin was the other reason I went), and a group from England that I remember being announced and I said "Who? I loved that car. I dropped a 411 positraction and a Hurst shifter into it. The original Muncie shifter felt like it had about a six foot long throw, and you were never sure if you were headed into the right gear anyway. No emission control devices. That baby could beat anything, as long as you didn't have to take a tight curve. Fire engine red with a black vinyl roof and disappearing headlights. Added a Pioneer eight track player with four speakers and a reverb unit. One thing they forgot to tell us. The four wheel disc brakes were very efficient, unless you happened to be driving in the rain–in which case an anchor and a rope would stop the car better.

Not all homosexuals are pedophiles but they are disproportionately represented in the pedophile community. Why is that?
I have an interest in this subject because I lived it for most of my adult life. Many people have sexually broken lives that at it's root stems back to their family. How that manifests itself in our individual lives depends on our temperment. Boys without a father who love them and teach them how to be men are vulnerable to start identifying as homosexuals or on the other end can become involved in crime. No not everyone, but your chances are vastly increased.
My parents remained married until my father passed away last year. He was a good father in many ways but he had struggles with alcohol when we were young and my mother came to be the one I attached to. There are no perfect families but to deny that these things play a role is wrong.

Gays are not all promiscuous. Straights have promiscuity issues as well, yet you ignore this side of the equation.
How many gays have you known are pedophiles? I can count them on my hand which is ZERO. None. Zilch.
Most pedophiles are straight MARRIED men in a stable relationship; they lead double lives as sicko child mostesters. The only thing some gays have in common with pedophiles is both can lead double lives for DIFFERENT REASONS. The closeted gay men secretly seek out other ADULT men.
I haven't really known any straight male pedophiles either, but if you include adult male men who have had relations with 15 and 16 year old Latin boys I've known quite a few. But I think this misses the point. All across the board homosexual men have a much higher rate of promiscuity. That does not mean there are not promiscuous straights. But on average male homosexuals are far more active. Their rates of STD's, drug use, alcohol use, depression are all much higher. Few couples last longer than two years and the ones that do are invariably open relationships.
I am not saying this to beat up on you or anyone else. I just think it is more cruel to pretend it's not true.
A missing father is incredibly damaging to girls as well. Again, on average the most sexually active girls are from broken families. But their numbers don't come close to homosexual men. There aren't enough bathhouses for damaged girls to go to.

Not all gay men go the bathhouses or glory holes & other places. However, you still have an obsession with gay men which I find more troubling. It's an unhealthy one & you should see someone about it.
