I also have a soft spot for him because the first real “show business” check I ever got was for a joke I wrote for SNL’s Weekend Update about comments Jerry made that there were no funny women comedians, that they were better served as baby producing machines. Colin Quinn was $100 poorer, and I was insufferable to be around the rest of that weekend.
