Mr. Author, your words -- as well as the definition of "coward" -- speak for themselves. That is why I quoted your entire passage and the definition -- which left no room for your allegation that I somehow "contorted" or strained" the definition.

I will give it to you that the word "coward" is loaded. My eyes became wide when I first heard that the AG used that word. Then, I read your attempt to condemn his statement and the definition -- which made me less concerned.

When your readers calm down (and stop making themselves the poster children for what is known in social phychology as the Focus Theory of Normative Conduct), they should engaging look at themselves and the world around them and have a thoughtful exhange about how we move ahead.

Logic, for all of the intelligence that you pretend to have (by name, words and tone), your oversimplification of the monkey and who writes (or, in broader terms, took the lead on) the legislation and failure to see the nature of editorial cartoons in this context, reveals that your "studidity ... ignorance" comment actually applies to you.

Editorial cartoons almost uniformly relate their message by implication -- not by the literal. Thus, in this context, it is highly relevant that the person viewed as most responsible for the legislation in question is Obama -- and that he may be viewed, by implication, as the monkey. Of even greater relevance is the historical use of monkey as a reference to people of color.

I can't fall for the "inferiority complex" thing. In case you can't tell, I am much better educated than you. I suggest you wake up and adapt to the world around you (and the need to understand others).

Hey, it's in his character; he lobbied successfully to get 16 Puerto Rican terrorists pardoned; then there is Marc Rich (of course, Bill may have had other incentives).

"When he talked about global warming...it sounded like you were talking to someone who'd been dropped on his head as an infant..." isn't that the truth. It isn't the gas that causes the increase in heat (look at the temperatures of the other planets that increased in temp the same time as Earth), it's the increase in heat that causes the increase in gas - the best proof of this is Congress, NAACP, Eric, Al, Jesse, BHO, Jeremiah et al.

One of the funniest lines I've heard in weeks. The extreme Left is all brain and no heart. This sentiment couldn't possibly be more convoluted. The poster (and far too large a chunk of our society) confuses "brains" with post graduate education. People who spend most of their formative years in a collegiate echo chamber (where the vast majority of voices lean Left) do not have a lack of heart, or an overabundance of brains. They have specialized educations that too many people mistake for real life wisdom. The fact is, the two have nothing in common. Being good at school doesn't make you smarter, wiser, or more compassionate....however it does often lead people to consider themselves superior to others.

I had a friend who was a physicist (worked at Argonne National Laboratory). If you talked to him about physics, engineering, or anything related to particle acceleration, it was like he was talking a different language (one you could never be bight enough to understand). When he talked about global warming, economics, or foreign policy, it sounded like you were talking to someone who'd been dropped on his head as an infant (except the self-assured attitude that he was the smartest guy in the room was still front and center).

I've listened to the brightest political minds on the Left and on the Right, and I don't find it even a close call. The ones on the Right understand the events and consequences of action (or inaction) far more than their counterparts.

It was a feeble attempt at humor given the uncanny resemblance between Mr. Holder and Mr. Graham.

The guy is Stedmanesque.

Des,
I agree we can use all those too. I, however, still will use the characterization of coward.
Cowards can't really say what they're thinking out loud for fear of scrutinization.
Mr. Holder shows that.

Billy,
99.44% of the people who said they were being cast as traitors and terrorists are the same people who said that BHO was different, he doesn't look like the the people on our currency; oh, I did I mention he was black. Me thinks liberals protest too much (Bill & Hill, Jesse, Al, Eric, Maxine et al) and really know what they are - purveyors of hate and divisiveness.
