good pull. Most liberalconceptsare somewhat childish in nature. Flying in face of reality,so to speak. But watching them fight each other over money- their own economic darwinism- is amusing to watch...
Facts don't need to have a point, that's why they're called facts ;)

Whatever you feel about it is entirely up to you. Me? I'm jointly thrilled and terrified by the fact that what I manage to create will outlive whatever I AM - thrilled a the prospect of real, tactile immortality... but terrified by the responsibility and work involved. Think about it: It's not TOO difficult to be a "good man," you just have to learn to say "no" every time the opportunity to enjoy yourself comes up. But make something memorably awful and that'll be the story of you no matter how many burning buildings you run into. Michael Bay could adopt a boatful of Honduran orphans, spend his entire fortune giving them all the security, education and stability any human being could ever want for... and a century from now he'll just be the guy who's guilty of "Transformers."

He should want to keep money he earned, anyone would. Socialism works for the leftys because they count on others to do the heavy lifting. I suppose to them, the lefty/lib, sharing is an outmoded concept from kindergarten, and they haven't really evolved from that mentality.

I always liked that quote. The odd thing being, though, that Shaw was a ardent socialist.

Be careful, Burt. Those you cite may have been guilty of criminal activity, but you used the word "retard." Why should we bother with prosecuting violent and rapacious men when folks like you are being insensitive?

Is that supposed to make us feel unimportant or ashamed or something? To gives us some perspective, put us in our places? We little people who try to live decent lives and not rape underaged girls - we'll all be forgotten someday but...nyaa, nyaa...the hard-living, hard-drinking, bohemian, freak-ass kid-raper's work will live on and be admired? What's your point, in other words.

Sort of like all of the progressive-socialist cultural elite that call for the closing of Guantanamo but don't want the inmates anywhere near them afterward.
