Ya I saw that about Lee, man he was great the other night. C.C. wants the ball on three days rest, but I don't know who might be a better choice as a forth starter. Jaba? Obviously tonight is HUGE! It's a great series. My elderly Mom has been GLUDED to the T.V.!

My equally elderly Dad (a band guy, never an athlete) is perplexed why. Of course my Mom told me as a little kid in Japan in the 60's to just wait, we have our own football team back in Texas, in Dallas.

Waxman is an prime example of those who believe themselves to be above criticism once they get entrenched inside the DC establishment. His prickly response to your column was to be expected. As will your IRS audit next year. This breed of politician uses their public office to enrich themselves and exact revenge on their enemies (both real and imagined) at every opportunity.

I once had the misfortune of living in Pete Stark's district. He represents a large portion of the East Bay from Oakland to Milpitas in California (or as Alec Baldwin's character called it last night on 30 Rock... the People's Gay Republic of Drugifornia). This 18-term congressman has been known to personally leave obscenity laced tirades on constituents' voicemails after they had the temerity to call his office and complain about his votes. He and Waxman are prime examples of the sort of congressmen that the rest of America should know about. They live in safe, hard left districts and have seats for life. Behind the scenes, they do alot of damage to this country. But very little media spotlight is ever focused on them and most of America has no idea just how awful they are as congressmen and as people.

Thank God he, AJ, did pitch a great game. It couldn't happen at a more opportune time. I was worried. Pedro pitched a gem as well. I feel that the Yanks are back in it, and hearing today that Cliff Lee is not going to pitch on 3 days rest limiting him to just two games, buoyed my spirits. I think Manual may be making a tactical error here, one similar to what Casey Stengal made in the '60 WS loss to the Pirates.
