How about moving Congress to a location in the "flyover" states ever decade…. First of all, it would lead to JOBS . Building 5 star restaurants, hotels and brothels for Congressmen and Senators to frequent while legislating away oourliberties would help strugling loal economies. And with the need for 20,000 full-time lobbyists to find living space right next door to those they bribe anbd write legislation for, it will be a boon for any local comeerical real estate developers who can build the oppulent lobbying centers for them to ply their trade. Just imagine how great it would be for those 535 buttclowns in Congress to actually meet REAL Amereicans as they plan the next legislative tome to foist on America. And by forcing the major newspapers to leave New York, Chicag and LA to actually get the news they claim to report on, they too would maybe get to know some real Americans and get a view of the country not usually to be found at Georgetown-hosted cocktail parties….

Networking, that's why they need to be In DC. Meeting, discussing best way to sell bad ideas, producing talking points to promote those bad ideas, talking to media to press for those bad ideas, and pushing those ideas in mass for solidarity. How else can you sell refrigerators to Eskimos's? Is that the right answer???

I would like to know why our elected officials, Senators and Congress men/women, all of them Americans first and they are OUR employees why they need/or have a special medical plan. If this new number that they want to cram down our throats is so great, we the employers do not want to be so mean as to keep it just for us, we want to share it, with THEM, our employees. That special hospitial in Bethesda should be closed down or made available to us all, after all, we the American people, the employers of Seantors and Congress people, are paying for it! If they do not like to be treated as all other Americans perhaps they have no business to be hired by us, i.e. they should be voted out! They should stay home in their bathrobes, but without teleconferencing, we are done with them.

Yea, Burt: I love the idea of that bunch being offered up to the Founding Fathers as a sacrifice. I think, though, they would be spat back rather quickly.

Hummmmmmm. That is the sound you hear in Congress as the wind blows through the empty seats in the Senate and House of Representatives chambers. Most are gone by noon and never to be found on Monday or Friday. I think you are right. They should just stay home and vote 'present'. President Zero also should be familiar with this procedure.

As far as the race question is concerned, I have pondered it many times myself. I am one of eight children born to a mestizo-looking Mexican mother and an Arian-looking German-American father. I happen to have blonde hair and green eyes while several of my siblings were born with black hair and dark skin and dark eyes. Same mom. Same dad. So are they hispanos and I am white? I was raised bilingual, asked for Posole and Chile con carne for special meals, and learned how to make my own pinata by age 10. But somehow since I don't have the darker skin, I get passed up for some promotions and scholarships granted to people who will fill a "diversity" quota. I think diversity starts when we start seeking the uniqueness of each individual regardless of what they look like. Barack is red (and that I determine by his actions not his skin) not black or white!
