All the News That’s Fit to Ridicule
by Burt PrelutskySo many absurd things are taking place around the world on a weekly, daily and even hourly basis that there’s simply no way to stay on top of it all. If one man can barely keep up with the lunacy occurring in America, you can imagine what a Herculean task it is to also keep abreast of foreign follies. But I am not one to shirk my responsibility.
For instance, in Afghanistan, the farmers recently called for a meeting with U.S. Marines in order to alert them to the fact that they will be in their fields at night harvesting opium poppies. They wanted to make sure that the Marines didn’t take them for members of the Taliban and shoot them by mistake. Like the farmers, I also don’t want our Marines to shoot them by mistake.
In Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, the Soviet-loving president of the country, who came to power as the leader of the left-wing Sandinistas, insists it’s America’s obligation to bail his country out of the current financial crisis. I might have voted to award him the Chutzpah Prize for 2009 if Brazil’s President Luiz Incio Lula de Silva hadn’t already copped the Prize by announcing that the world’s financial collapse was entirely the fault of “white people with blue eyes.” Even though that left people such as myself, white people with brown eyes, off the hook, I took it as a personal swipe at my blue-eyed wife.
That brings us to the United States, a country that under Obama is rapidly becoming a place that would be unrecognizable to the freedom-loving architects who framed our Constitution and pledged their very lives and fortunes to creating a nation of, by and for the people. It was a nation dedicated to the rights of the individual and based on Judeo-Christian principles, and not one that views Castro’s Cuba through red-colored glasses.
A recent poll found that 80% of so-called independents favor Democrats over Republicans when it comes to national security. That, in a nutshell, tells us all we need to know about most people who identify themselves as independents or moderates. For if there is any one issue on which sane people would give Republicans the edge, it would be national security.
As I have always contended, anyone who doesn’t regard himself as a conservative or at least a Republican is nearly always a liberal in sheep’s clothing who simply doesn’t wish to be pigeonholed. I have an acquaintance who kept insisting for years that he was an independent. When I finally pinned him to the wall and demanded he name the last Republican he had voted for, he admitted it was Richard Nixon in 1972! Which makes him just about as independent as Howard Dean or James Carville.
It is my belief that by a huge margin independents and moderates go along with Obama’s plan to eliminate charitable deductions from the tax code. It isn’t that these people are necessarily opposed to charities, they are merely opposed to individuals, particularly those of a religious bent, deciding for themselves which ones to support. They prefer that the decisions be made by left-wing politicians. So, while they would be happy to see hundreds of millions of dollars going to ACORN, abortion clinics, the National Endowment of the Arts, National Public Radio and AmeriCorps, they hate to see a dime go to churches, the Boy Scouts or the Salvation Army.
Speaking of abortions, I saw that a Kansas jury found Dr. George Tiller not guilty of any crime for performing a large number of late-term abortions for $5,000-a-pop. That reminded me that years ago, I bought a female hamster for my 10-year-old stepdaughter, not knowing that she — the hamster, not my stepdaughter — was pregnant. By the time I woke up one morning, my wife reported that the animal had given birth to four or five babies, and promptly had them for breakfast. And that, in turn, reminds me that I recently read that a rare clouded leopardess had given birth in a Virginia zoo to a pair of cubs. The zookeeper had to immediately rescue the newborns because these animals apparently have all the maternal instincts of an axe-murderer or a mother hamster and will often kill their offspring. Which certainly helps to explain why clouded leopards are as rare as they are.
The reason I am sharing these particular, seemingly unrelated, stories is because it occurred to me that, if only she had been able to garner some publicity, my hamster could easily have been as great a heroine to the pro-choice movement as Jane Roe (aka Norma McCorvey) and how shocked I was that the ladies of NOW didn’t hold a candlelight vigil on behalf of the feline whose inalienable right to commit infanticide was denied by a paternalistic society.
This brings us, inevitably to Washington, D.C., one of the few insane asylums on earth where the walls are made of marble and so are the noggins of the inmates. First of all, in the spirit of fair play, I need to make a public apology to Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner. Like most misinformed people, I leapt to the conclusion that he was a tax cheat. But after watching him spend several weeks bumbling around the Capitol, babbling about spending trillions of Monopoly dollars in order to restore America’s financial stability, I have come to realize he isn’t a cheat, after all; he simply has no more grasp of financial matters than Curly, Moe or Larry.

A brillant post, as usual. However, I must take offense at your comparison of Tim Geithner to the Three Stooges. I like the Stooges. And if Geithner is the only one who can understand the TARP fine print, then we are in the deepest kind of sh*t.
Yeah, right, more radio right-wing Republican gobbledeegook. Gawwleee Burt, aincha got nothin else tuh geegle about? This is the way you sound: Blahblahblahblahblahwaaaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaaaaaaaa, we lost, I want my mommeeeeeeee!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Awesome Burt. Good stuff!
Hey Stopstuff the only person shpowing up here whining is YOU! By the mere fact you feel the need to come here proves you are a frightened little person. GOOOOD! You oughta be. We are coming back. WITH A VENGENCE!
Right on Burt! Let the backlash commence. I stand cheering the demise of the New York Times and other left-wing mouth organs.
I think you mean a vengeance.
Please don't insult the Stooges like that! They were way, way smarter than Mr. Geithner ever will be!!
It's difficult to confess this, but I have to agree – almost all independents are really libs in disguise. I was a Republican for long years and only turned on them when "read my lips" ascended his throne.
Not too happy with anything but Newt's "Contract" – I tried to claim Independent status – but alas and alack, all independents voted in Clinton for a "co-presidency."
Then, being Republican again sounded good after 911 – until I found out my country only wanted its people to "go about your life – do nothing" for the war effort. But they sure knew how to spend my money! Of course, what did I expect from another 'throne-sitter.'
So, now, I am Conservative. Which is probably what I really was all along.

So many parents must be getting tired of caring for and feeding the troll blogger that lives in their basement.

how shocked I was that the ladies of NOW didn’t hold a candlelight vigil on behalf of the feline whose inalienable right to commit infanticide was denied by a paternalistic society.
That's some mighty fine marksmanship, right there.

I think you mean.

With an intellect like yours no wonder your rating sucks, like you do.
At least the stooges made money, not just spent it.
Aw, crap! Does this mean I have to make a formal apology for being blond with blue eyes now? I mean we've apologized for every other bad thing America might possibly be connected with, but I think Obama forgot to bend over to apologize for the country having blond folks with blue eyes.
At least we haven't made the crass mistake of running over that rubber dinghy in the ocean yet.

I'm sure he's happy as long as he has his blow-up doll, his video games, Twinkies and internet access. Life is gooooood.
Probably the Clouded Leopards are liberals, or democrats! Whoops one in the same!
Those hamster and clouded leopard stories are horrifying. They absolutely capture the essence of how I feel about the pro-abortion movement.
And hamsters are Independents.
Didn't somebody once say that moderates are merely liberals-in-training?
Oddly enough in all of this, Lula seems to understand free trade better than anyone in the Obama administration. He may be a Marxist, but he's a free trade Marxist, if such a thing is possible.
You can take whatever I said for whatever you think it means. Lapis get a life. Apparently you are too stupid to even make a statement? Troll. If you want to discuss Mr. Prelutsky's post then do it. But if you are just here leaving your rat droppings then go away.
In all fairness, Norma McCorvey has long since been ostracized by the left for converting to Christianity and becoming a conservative, prolife Republican. She even tried to have Roe vs. Wade overturned with her standing as in the case.
.
Hmm . . . My post was in reply to Lapdog, not to you, which is why I posted it as a reply under Lapis' comment, not under your comment. You have posted under my own comment, did you direct it at me? And at the risk of seeming to pile on, I only bring it up for clarity. The impersonal milieu of the Intartubes underscores the need for precision in order to avoid misunderstandings. Little things like spelling errors do not count! But pointed replies being misdirected can dismay an ally.
Moderates are to liberals as bisexuals are to homosexuals.
They share the same worldview, but lack conviction.
How about addressing anything he has said here?
Oh, wait, you are incapable of doing so.
I also think that line was unfair, both for the reasons you state and because she never actually had an abortion. She gave birth to her child and gave her up for adoption.
Hi, Joan: I think she was aiming at Lapis. She mentioned the name in the second sentence and probably clicked the wrong "post reply button." We're all friends here. Well, except Lapis and Auntie Fascist. I've read both yours and Lola's posts in the past, and you're on the same side.
I'm registered Independent and have never voted for a Democrate, no one has ever accused me of being liberal either. I just can't bring myself to vote for some of these "Republicans" who seem to be misplaced Democrates. I'm glad to vote but usually I feel like barfing on the ballot. I guess I'm also responsible for the economic meltdown since I am blonde and blue eyed.
Yay, MIke. H. L. Mencken lives!
.
)
Oh, I think so, too. But you know, we girls like to keep our feathers unruffled, Lawhawk!
.
What I find amusing is how some liberals like to delude themselves into thinking they’re actually moderates, despite the fact they parrot every lunatic leftwing policy and never stray from the plantation. A moderate democrat is like a moderate taliban; a mythical creature created to assuage their guilt of what they have become.
OK. I'm back in my tree and I'll stay clear. While I was naming names, I forgot to include good ole buttstuff in our list of non-friends. I was busy trying to keep two of my favorite gals from clawing each other.
That sounds like Dan Rather, who's described himself as "middle-of-the-road" politically. Like the New York Times.
Hmmm. I don't know how to take that, but it's making me think I was too harsh. (Whether towards moderates or bisexuals, I'm not sure.)
Burt, your comment about Daniel Ortega is more appropriate for humor then you said; Ortega is there because of a deal known as "El Pacto" where the Communist Sandanistas made a deal with the Samocita Facists to form a parlimentary majority, sort of like Hamas forming a pact with the Likud. The thing of Geither to the stooges is unfair, but lines from "The gang who couldn't shoot straight" whould be better satire.
Great post asw usual, Burt.____A slightly different take on your hamster and the cloud leopard examples. It puts me in mind to what Feminist for Life Fredrica Matthews-Greene once observed:__"Women do not choose abortions the way they choose lipstick or handbags. They choose it the same way a trapped animal 'chooses' to gnaw off its leg in a trap." __An animal in a stressed environment–which could include a zoo or a hamster cage, can be driven by instinct to extreme behaviors such as killing and/or eating their young. Such behaviors occur in the wild under extreme conditions such as droughts, floods or fires.__The "choice" of abortion does not empower women, but, as pioneer feminists Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton recognized 150 years ago, serves sexually irresponsible men with an easy out from accounting for their actions.__Pope John Paul II accurately called our zeitgeist "the culture of death." In such a culture, murderous choices like abortion and euthanasia will appear to be logical options. I fear that we are becoming conditioned to be blase about death–in Stalin's phrase, it has become merely a statistic.
Nah, it was just funny. Mencken's crack about bisexuals is a classic, and even though he later became an embittered, even nasty bigot his one-liners are all time classics. For that matter, I've never been sure whether Mencken made the original bisexual remark at all, but it's been attributed to him so often that I sort of assumed he did. Either way, it's funny. He made plenty of hilarious cracks about Christians and organized religion, and I remain a Christian with a sense of humor (I hope). Bisexuals and moderates should develop the same sense of humor, if they haven't already. I'm not sure if Mencken ever said anything about moderates, but I think you did a good job of filling in that gap.
I call myself, "a small-l libertarian," and I haven't voted for a democrat presidential candidate since Carter, but I did vote for Perot. LOL!
I have to respectfully disagree about the Afghan poppy farmers, as I think Bush's drug warriors set us back years in Afghanistan. That's the most lucrative cash crop they can grow, and the US ticking off Farmer Mohammed is exactly the wrong way to win hearts and minds. Believe it, or not, there is a worldwide need for medical opiates, so the US should have just bought the crops, versus trying to eradicate them (A meaningless jerk-off exercise). As it went, a lot of these farmers torqued by the US threw their lot back in with the Taliban… and the Taliban now get a big chunk of the profit from those crops for protecting them. How is that working out, exactly? Er, poorly.
Translation: "Shut up."
And could put together a staff.
I must agree Burt, the inmates are running the asylum. Watching the democrats is like watching a character driven neo-gonzo play with no plot, not arc, no plan, no end in sight. It's all angst and personality. It's reality TV at its worst. The republicans, who don't seem to have a cohesive plan, wait quietly in the wings for their chance to stir the pot. Washington badly needs some adult leadership and supervision. Where is Klaatu? Where are the Masters? We really owe the founding fathers an apology for what we've done to their great work.
Damn! It took me twenty minutes to write those two lines, and I could have just quoted Mencken.
I've been trying to google the original, but when you use "bisexual" as a search term, it's a lot to wade through. Do you know it off-hand?
I cheer everytime a newspaper goes out of business. I don't go to movies or watch network tv. I will not help support Liberals in any way. Democrats(which I was raised as one) are pure evil and stupid. A bad combination!!!!!!! The American people ,I am sorry to report, are stupid and ignorant. That is why the Democrats control this once great country. I just don't care anymore. I am actually cheering theses days for chaos in this country. You people voted for this mess, now eat it!!!!!!!!
I just take care of myself and family. I do not give to charity or help in anyway the country. The US can go to hell along with their socialistic govt. Don't join the military and if you are serving now, do not re-enlist!!!!!!!!! Obama and his crowd are not worth your service. America is a stupid country. I will just get in line and TAKE from this country everything I can take. NO GIVING BACK!!!!! Its over since the 2008 elections. Down with America!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The country I was born into no longer exist. Time for a NEW country. Obama can go to hell!!!!! take Hillary and the other idiots with you!!!!!!!
Well said, and well thought out. As practical matter, there are so many legitimate medical uses for opium derivatives that it would have been much less costly in lives and dollars simply to buy the damned crops, use the legitimate end products, burn the rest, and hold on to dubious allies who are now shooting at our troops to protect their crops.
I see some fed up Mom using a leafblower to clear the Taco Bell wrapppers and pizza boxes to create a path to her washing machine, wearing a mask to ward off the smell.
I tried using multiple versions of it, including key words and "mencken" and the best I could find was multiple second-hand references. Apparently I'm not the only one who assumed he said it. I went through the entire list of Mencken quotes on one site, and couldn't find it. And since you worked that hard on it on your own, henceforth I will quote you as having said it, and who's to question us? Of course, I expect a piece of the royalties now that you're going to be famous.
So in other words just bend over and take it? Well that's extremely non-helpful and generally useless advice. I do not like liberals and what they're trying to do to the country, but instead of sucking on your thumb and whining about it, how about doing something to help stop and reverse it?
Actually what am I thinking, this is an obvious false flag operation, what's your Kos operating number citizen? Or is it just tehstupid forgetting how to spell his name again?
I knew you'd bring royalties into it, I bow before your sagacity your honor!
But regardless of that, funny comparison indeed.
As a blue eyed devil I resent not being personally singled by the idiot that runs Brazil. I plan to go forth boldly to Socialist Euroland this summer and wear a U.S. flag and stand tall as an American.
They could be liberals with something to hide, like a taxable income.
Egads
Admittedly, I skimmed through your post to the US stuff: that part lacks any legitimate context as to render it nothing but unadulterated blather to your ill-informed choir.
And with friends like Ultra, well, you don't really need enemies, do you? In his defense, I would indeed consider him an experienced expert on the stupid and ignorant.
Excellent article Burt. As a brown eyed devil I too feel left out on the scorn from Brazil, I mean what's a guy have to do these days?
In some places the notion that so-called "free thinking independents" overwhelmingly prefer liberal positions on security to conservative ones isn't all that shocking, and in fact has become general policy, it's called Europe. And look how well that's worked out for them.
It's disingenuous to call them "Bush's drug warriors" as pretty much all mainstream politicians support drug wars. I'm somewhat on the fence on the issue but you have to admit that there is a dark side to growing the ingredients for opium. Prostitution, gambling, drug creation & dealing – these are all complicated issues.
Libertarianism isn't a catch-all. Some behavior does create more harm than good, and it is in our interest to moderate some behavior.
I suspect the answer may be "all of the above."
Bowing is appropriate, cuz I got royalty!
Yeah, right, more Internet left-wing Democrat gobbledeegook. Gawwleee stopstuff, aincha got nothin else tuh geegle about? This is the way you sound: Blahblahblahblahblahwaaaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaaaaaaaa, we won, I am a big douche!
Wouldn't they be troll droppings? Just trying to help you out, Lola. Misspelling and poor punctuation blunt the force of your message. Peace.

This guy is hilarious. Usually when someone rants this incoherently, they get sent to their room. What I would expect from an Obamazombie.
Burt — THANK YOU for monitoring world events and keeping tabs all the insanity. Tough job, someone's gotta do it, and we're lucky to have ya. With Common Sense clearly having been jettisoned overboard the USS America, we are suddenly afloat in the Sea of Our Current Madness… rudderless, directionless, powerless… and with the storm of Islamofascism rapidly bearing down.
I'm thinking about buying a motorboat, grabbing an AK and heading off to the Somali Coast. Seems to be a lucrative 'oceanic income redistribution' boom going on out there and I'm thinking about going into business.
Address something he said? We would, if he'd actually said anything. Blahblahblah is not actual speech.
Steven –
I can't find your comment here in order to reply. Don't know why you're crabbing at me, since I was telling that troll stopstuff to address the post.
EDIT: Mo_ has a response on the end of the thread that explains he was responding to "stopstuff"
So… my response to Mo_ is based on a misunderstanding. Oops.

Your comment looked like it was in response to someone responding to the troll, btw.
Shhh…. all those facts are supposed to be suppressed, because those facts are damaging to the pro-abortion side's case. In their revisionist history, Roe is still anonymus, went through with the abortion and had no regrets. Seriously, I wonder what any of them would say if you ask them what happened to Roe after the case was over. I wonder if any of them know the rest of the story, as the late, great Paul Harvey would say?
That was a great read, Burt. In fact, while reading it, I couldn't help but think that it sounded as if a conservative version of Hawkeye Pierce were reading that over the PA system at the 4077th. That thought put a smile on my face, and I thank you for it.

I think we need clarification on the intense debate reputation meter. It denotes the positive comments, but nothing about the negative. I think this guy with a -73 is reaching j@goff territory.
Barry doesn't even notice such things, he's colorblind. He treats all Americans like the Democrats have historically treated blacks. Well, if you're white and not loud enough to be heard then Barry just can't see you, he's not good at that contrast thing.
People are quibbling over a common misspelling while Pres Barry is kept from completely humiliating the country only because the King noticed he forgot a napkin for cleanup. Beautiful.
Not that well thought out. Very few countries that aspire to world respect would dare to directly peddle even the source material of illegal narcotics, they'd have the pharmaceutical companies do the buying. And guess who'll be asked to provide security? It's always supply and demand, the traffickers will offer more, then more poor farmers will be tempted to provide supply, etc.
Besides, that's outsourcing.
Might as well pay a bounty for seizures to the Afghan government, with a guaranteed share paid directly to the individuals who did the seizing. Farmers get paid, soldiers and policemen etc who are desperate for money have a way to get it without yielding to corruption, Afghan government gets needed funds, product can be routed to legitimate use, traffickers get squat. And there'll be willing bodies going after it instead of our troops. Shipments going out of country will get choked down, costs of production (farmer payments, bribes) will skyrocket, normal business model should lead to production going elsewhere thus unlikely to return once established. Guess the Taliban could try to cut costs by enslaving the farmers and using roadblock-smashing armed military convoys to get it out of country, shooting anyone in their path. Which would give them all the popularity we're hoping them to have.
Ultra-anarchist, it's not working right so stop using it, throw it away, get a new one. Oh, take notice of the angry tone. He certainly will not bend over and take it, and wants to go out and cut off every one he can find to make sure of it!
Sounds right, he ended up getting hit by traffic going in both directions. NYT is also losing subscribers thanks to PETA, less caged birds and puppies to train.
Liberals who register Independent, they're so used to always having food provided for them that if they think they're being messed with they will bite the hand that feeds them. Plus they expect someone else will clean their messes out of their cage.
Many many years ago, well it feels that way, my first book on caring for hamsters warned about preventing hamsters from getting established in the wild as they were destructive to crops. This much later, still no rampaging hamster plagues. Thus I conclude with certainty that hamsters are liberals, the only rational explanation is they can't survive in the real world.
I still think that the original concept of not driving the farmers into the arms of the Taliban is valid, as do you (I think). I didn't intend to imply that we had a plan. Only that what we are currently doing is simply not working. You have obviously given a great deal more thought to the tactics of avoiding that result.
I got a little lost in the middle of your concept, but I certainly see considerable validity in it. If I understand correctly, you're suggesting that our money would be better spent allowing private companies to handle the product while keeping the Afghan government happy with the money that we pay them as bounties for seizures, thus keeping the US out of the drug business entirely. If so, I think you're on to something. Where I got confused was what you meant by costs of production skyrocketing and production going elsewhere. But that may be because I"m reading this at 3:30 in the morning and need to get to bed.
Please update me. I'm finding this fascinating, and I'm sure I'll be a bit more coherent in the morning.
So the formula is independents = liberals = Democrats = hungry hamsters. Got it. Now what about the gerbils?
One bit straight through my thumb once, right through the nail. Will try to escape the cage however possible, chew through anything needed to do so, no matter they should be smart enough to stick close to food and water. Threat of getting bit when trying to pet somewhere between Russian Roulette and basic lottery, keep playing and you'll get it. Nowhere near as cute as the marketing, just glorified miniature rats, vermin. Militant anarchist.
Oh, to save time, bunny rabbits = Hollywood liberals. All cute and cuddly, people love them, hard to tell food pellets going in from pellets coming out. Actually not that much meat on them, no luck comes from catching them, only thing really desirable comes from their outer appearance and is marketable long after they're dead.
And guinea pigs are moderates. People adore them, say how great it is to have them around. Then times get tough, tougher, and with varying levels of enthusiasm just about anyone is willing to have them for supper. Many countries love them just for that reason.
A moderate, please! These are frightened little monkeys scared to take a position, always swept up by a prevailing wind, or what’s popular at the moment, “we must be certain not offend.” These rudderless, so called reasoned Americans do as much harm to the Republic as any liberal.
Bounties for seizures: Stand-alone replacement for current policy. Reserve US troops for anti-militant actions. Sell product like other seized drug assets, allowable as raw product has legitimate use for pharma, operation could become self-funded. Afghanis do seizing. Motivate with cash, bounties split between government and individual agents (police, military) doing the physical seizing, thus giving cash-strapped agents choice between corruption and encouraged legal windfalls. Costs of illegal production soar, free market takes over, production set up somewhere else and unlikely to return.
In reply to Hucbald's concept, The US would never agree to be a direct buyer of the crop, it'd look bad. Supporting drug dealers, couldn't prove money wasn't going to the Taliban. Bad PR on the hypocrisy from "We're not in drug trade!" countries for decades. Offload the blame somewhat with pharma as the buyers, but it won't be enough and US troops will be asked to provide security for the companies, not a good signal to send.
But paying bounty money? Long historical tradition. Also putting criminal proceeds back into the community. The traffickers will pay the farmers for what they can't hold long enough to sell, they'll have to stop buying and production goes away.
Wikipedia has informed me there's apparently a plentiful supply of opiates in the world, no shortages. 80% of our medicinal stocks come from India and Turkey. We don't like Turkey too much right now, seizures could offset them. However, there's no real need for Afghani opiates. Given Afghani territory and borders, it's too hard to separate legal and illegal production anyway.
So to keep farmers away from the Taliban as buying crashes, we need a high value crop. In an ideal world, we could make a genetically-modified poppy that's generally unusable for the drug trade but pharma can handle the technical additional processing, make that the standard (mandated?) source for legal drugs. Otherwise… tobacco? Still less damaging politically than buying opium. Ah, we'll think of something, we have to.
What a great thought! I'm going to have to read it again with this in mind.
No worries. So often I can’t find the original posts either. Trying to send this via email, who knows if it’ll get through.
Can I throw in the Somali Pirates, half a dozen Somali pirates in a G-D Row Boat standing off the entire United States Navy and making demands instead of pleading for their worthless lives. I am so embarassed for our nation and cry for the death of manhood and courage.
How about the 'news' that 53% favor capitalism while the rest favor socialism or are to ignorant to know the difference? The 23% who don't know any better, helped push the ObamaShow over the top last November. We're only weeks into Obama's administration, and it's already obvious he lied last fall when he claimed he 'wouldn't do anything crazy or wild'. We've just started folks. This is a guy who aims for the Horizon, a constantly moving target. Think of the wildest of the American Left's goals, imagine that they've already achieved them, then wonder what the Left's horizon looks like then. Obama isn't shaping up as a moderating force, but the very tip of Leftist Expansion in the U.S.
I see we have trolls, and so touchy, too. You'd think that since they won they'd be a bit more smug, rather than whiny.
I like the joke about shooting Afghani peasants, that was really funny. In fact, lets be sure that all you cons keep up the indiscriminate killing of people – that way, the good citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq will continue to hate us and try to kill us. How else will we avoid peace and ensure a permanent state of war?
For years, Burt, I have prided myself on my "warped" sense of humor. I think you have chosen this route, too. I think one can take almost any situation in the world today and put either a tragic or humorous spin to it. These days, there is so much to laugh about. I also concur that a "moderate" is a lib in disguise. Even the liberals don't want to be called liberals these days, it seems. After all, they did pervert the term from one who is basically libertarian to just a shade behind Kim Jung Il. They really know what's best for us, you know. If some had their way we would all have red neckerchiefs doing morning jumping jacks together.
So THAT'S what happened to my daughter's guinea pig, Don Vito. I always wondered.
Yep, whomever said it said it best, we are in for some deep doo doo. Regardless if geihtner is a cheat or just a dummy, either way he shouldn't be in the position that he is in.
When people stand in the middle of the road they usually get run over.
Don't forget that abortion is racist since more black babies die via that method.
Don't forget that abortion is racist since more black babies die via that method.
