The problem is that Bin Laden DOES hear us…and he doesn't LIKE us.
What Modine dosen't realize is that free will is the enemy of tyrants. Then again, he's a lib.
Even if he did talk with us about why he hates us, it wouldn't be the truth. He understands politics better than most people in this country. Ask him why he hates us and he'll tell you because of our meddling in the Middle East, our support of Israel, our cocky and arrogant attitudes, etc… He knows that if he tells us that he hates us simply because we are a free society, at least a good portion of those liberals that support his view (meddling, Israel, attitude) would drop off and rally behind killing him by any means necessary. So he will continue the farce that he has played for years and the Matthew Modine's of the world will continue to say "what if we could just ask him why he hates us?" And thus the circle of fatal idiocy continues.
I've got to remember this one over the next few weeks. I live in on the Ohio/Michigan border and the FBI just arrested several members of the Michigan Militia for their involvement in anti-government activities. More arrests are expected and you can bet that this will generate the usual heavy-breathing on the Left concerning the "growing numbers" of "right-wing Christian militias" and their "hate campaigns." I hold no brief for the militia types and hope that they get everything thats coming to them. However I would be interested if Mr. Modine would every consider "reaching out" to them and asking them what THEIRr grievances are. They are a lot easier to find and, to hear the media tell it, a lot more dangerous than bin-Laden. How about it Matthew? I am sure that this could be set up on short notice and you wouldn't even have to get your passport stamped.

I think we were told right after 9/11 that what was bothering him was the way the Palestinians were being treated, the giant American army camped out beside Mecca after Desert Storm and one last thing that eludes me right now.
Speaking of "cultural blinders", I've found that liberals wear complete blindfolds in that regard. Both Modine and r.r.r.r.r are almost textbook examples of the (well-off and often white) liberal assumption that *everyone* is really a (white, well-off) liberal underneath their skin, with the exact same ways of thinking and value systems that they have. They have effectively donned their own blinders and refused to acknowledge true differences between cultures and individuals.

(South Korea, Georgia, Balkans) I challenge anyone to give a good reason why we support a tyrannical regime like Israel to our own detriment?
